Trevor Booker (rest) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game vs. Chicago.
The Nets are also resting Brook Lopez and Jeremy Lin in the meaningless regular-season finale. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson should see extra playing time on Wednesday with Booker on the sidelines. K.J. McDaniels and Andrew Nicholson will get additional run as well. Apr 11 - 6:33 PM

Trevor Booker scored a season-high 23 points on 11-of-12 from the field during a 121-111 win over the Magic on Saturday, adding eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in just 24 minutes.

The Nets just ate inside with a season-high 72 points in the paint. The bench was also effective with 72 total points to help them get the win. Booker was interviewed after the game and said "hopefully" the bench can do it again on Sunday, but he did make it sound like he may not be playing in that game. If you want to use Booker in DFS or as a stream on Sunday because coach Kenny Atkinson said he won't shut down his starters, you may want to be careful.
Apr 1 - 9:28 PM

Trevor Booker was a DNP-CD on Sunday.

There is a decent chance the Nets just shut him down and get a look at their younger players. In the last three games, the Nets called him out for rest, then out for leg soreness and now he gets a DNP-CD. He's an obvious drop candidate.
Mar 19 - 2:38 PM

Trevor Booker (leg soreness) is available to play on Sunday vs. the Mavericks.

He wasn't on the injury report and will be returning from a two-game absence. Nets coach Kenny Atkinson made it sound like Booker will be limited, as he hinted that he will still try to find some minutes for K.J. McDaniels and Andrew Nicholson. Booker will likely be rested a lot down the stretch, so his outlook isn't the greatest.

Trevor Booker (leg soreness) is not on the injury report for Sunday against the Mavs.

The Nets have been expecting him to come back after missing the last two games. If Booker is indeed back, that should take minutes from Quincy Acy and Andrew Nicholson. Booker is likely to rest in several games the rest of the way, so he's not really a hold right now.

Mar 18 - 5:06 PM

Coach Kenny Atkinson said Trevor Booker (leg soreness) is being held out on Friday to be "super cautious" and he should play Sunday.

Super cautious is a good way to describe the Nets this year. Still, Booker is likely going to get rest at some point, so his owners may want to give someone else a try off the waiver wire. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson could be your answer.
Mar 17 - 6:02 PM

Trevor Booker (left leg soreness) is out for Friday against the Celtics.

The Nets called it rest on Thursday and now they're calling it leg soreness. That suggests more rest could be coming for Booker, who is a drop candidate as the Nets may want to look more at their young guys. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is as hot as he's been all year, coming off a 20-10 on Thursday night with consistent minutes in each his last three. RHJ should be owned in standard leagues and is a viable DFS play again tonight.

Mar 17 - 2:20 PM

Trevor Booker (rest) will not play against the Knicks on Thursday.

It's the front end of a back-to-back on the road, so there was a very good chance at least one Net was going to rest. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson should be picking up some minutes in the first unit and gets a great matchup with Kristaps Porzingis not around to protect the rim. The Nets have a lot of options as a backup with Quincy Acy, Justin Hamilton and Andrew Nicholson, but Acy looks like the safest desperation play here. Daily Slant: Booker out of action, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson now becomes a viable GPP punt at the SF spot, but it's unlikely that he eats up a big chunk of the minutes leftover by Booker. Quincy Acy figures to see some extra court time and it's possible that Andrew Nicholson or Justin Hamilton also enter the rotation, so there isn't a ton to love here from a DFS perspective. Brook Lopez and Jeremy Lin are still in nice spots against a weak defensive Knicks team.
Mar 16 - 6:12 PM

Trevor Booker scored 15 points with seven rebounds on Friday vs. the Mavericks.

He shot 6-of-14 from the field and 2-of-5 from the line with three assists and one triple in 27 minutes. He attempted 14+ shots for just the third time this season, but that's only because Brook Lopez was out with an ankle issue. It's unclear if Lopez will miss additional time, but Booker is an obvious beneficiary in the short term.
Mar 11 - 12:10 AM

Trevor Booker finished with 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and three turnovers in Monday's loss to Milwaukee.

Booker was listed as questionable due to a sore knee prior to the contest but looked to be moving well all night. Despite being relegated to the bench and having his minutes reduced a bit this month, Booker is still averaging 13.0 points (on 57.4 percent shooting), 8.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 25.4 minutes over the Nets last six games.
Feb 15 - 11:02 PM

Trevor Booker (knee) is available to play against the Bucks on Wednesday.

He was questionable for this game due to a sore knee. Booker has been playing well, but he may be slightly limited to allow more minutes for Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. Booker is clearly trending down, but he's still a hold in standard leagues.
Feb 15 - 5:55 PM

Trevor Booker (knee) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Milwaukee.

Booker has been coming off the bench and playing fewer minutes in February, but has still managed to post respectable numbers. He is averaging 11.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists through seven games this month. However, a knee issue would only dampen his already decreasing fantasy appeal. If Booker does not play Wednesday, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will see an uptick in playing time.
Feb 14 - 6:27 PM

Updating a previous report, Trevor Booker will come off the bench on Monday vs. the Grizzlies.

The Nets listed the wrong starting lineup, so there's nothing to see here. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will continue to start.
Feb 13 - 7:18 PM

Trevor Booker had another strong game on Wednesday with 14 points, 11 rebounds (six offensive), two assists and one block in 28 minutes.

Booker helped the Nets rack up a season-high for second-chance points, but they didn't have quite enough to beat the Wizards in an OT game tonight. He's played very well since sliding into a bench role, but his decreased minutes (27 or fewer in 13 straight games) make it hard to like his rest-of-season outlook in most 12-team formats.
Feb 8 - 11:41 PM

Trevor Booker posted a 15-point, 10-board double-double during Sunday's loss to the Raptors, adding one 3-pointer, two assists, three steals and one turnover in 26 minutes.

Booker was ultra-active on both sides of the floor, and a lot of his buckets came on hustle plays, but in general, his value has been trending in the wrong direction for the past month. He’s losing minutes to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson for the sake of player development, so consistency will likely continue to be an issue as his minutes fluctuate from night-to-night.
