Trevor Booker made two 3-pointers on his way to a 12-point night against the Clippers on Monday, adding five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes.
He played down the stretch and coach Quin Snyder has a lot of confidence in the former Wizard. After making just one 3-pointer in his first four seasons, Booker now has five triples on the season. He's become a decent deep-league asset, but the bigger story is that he's canceling out the values of Enes Kanter and Rudy Gobert. Nov 4 - 1:36 AM

Date:

Trevor Booker played 24 minutes against the Suns on Saturday with 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.

He's taking away minutes from Enes Kanter and is a much better fit. Booker is known for hitting the glass, which fits in quite nicely with the way the Jazz play. He's probably a better own than Kanter in most deeper leagues.
Nov 2 - 2:40 AM

Trevor Booker scored 14 points with five rebounds, and one turnover against the Rockets on Wednesday.

He was a nice little pickup for the Jazz and they'll definitely get some use out of his ability to hit the boards. Booker is only worth a look in deep leagues.
Oct 30 - 1:25 AM

Trevor Booker will start at power forward next to Enes Kanter.

Derrick Favors (knee) is out for tonight and he should be available for the opener. Coach Quin Snyder starting Kanter at center does suggest he has some confidence at him at the five. Of course, this is preseason we're talking about here.

Trevor Booker (sprained ankle) went through Tuesday's shootaround but he remains a game-time decision vs. the Thunder.

Booker has been the first player off Utah's bench this preseason, logging 15-20 minutes per game. He should feature prominently in coach Quin Snyder's rotation, but he's only worth considering in deep fantasy leagues.
Oct 21 - 3:03 PM

Trevor Booker (ankle) is doubtful to play on Sunday.

He suffered an ankle sprain on Friday and is likely going to miss a couple games. Booker looks like a nice fit for the Jazz and he could provide some nice rebounding in the second unit. He's only an option in very deep leagues.
Oct 18 - 5:53 PM

Trevor Booker left Friday's preseason game against the Clippers due to a sprained right ankle and did not return.

Booker had just gotten into it with Blake Griffin (who hasn't) before calling it a night. As usual, he has shown plenty of explosion and potential in reality basketball, but injury concerns and lack of fantasy production temper any expectations here.
Oct 18 - 12:49 AM

Trevor Booker has been working on his corner 3-point shooting this summer.

"Being a threat from the perimeter is big for me this season," Booker said. Jazz coach Quin Snyder wants his big men to spread the court but Booker is unlikely to spend much time outside the arc -- he attempted zero corner 3-pointers last year and was a combined 38.2 percent from beyond eight feet.
Sep 16 - 3:01 PM

The Jazz officially signed Trevor Booker on Monday.

Booker averaged 6.8 points, and 5.3 rebounds with the Wizards last season, and he will have to fight for minutes in a crowded Utah frontcourt of Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter. Booker is not a fantasy option in standard leagues.

Jul 21 - 4:24 PM

Utah Jazz sign F Trevor Booker for $10 million over two years.

Booker was solid in averaging 6.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks in just under 22 minutes per game with the Wizards last season, but will join a crowded frontcourt in Utah. The 26-year-old has potential to produce, but Booker may not see much of a minutes boost playing behind Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter and will have trouble producing anything more than deep-league fantasy value.
Jul 15 - 1:40 PM

The Knicks have "continued to show interest" in unrestricted FA Trevor Booker, according to Marc Berman of the NY Post.

Another half-dozen teams have been linked to Booker, who averaged 6.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 0.6 blocks in under 22 minutes per game last season. The 26-year-old also shot 55.1 percent from the field, including 61.9 percent from within eight feet, and teams view him as an affordable source of frontcourt depth.
Jul 12 - 10:16 AM

Unrestricted free agent Trevor Booker is getting interest from the Heat, Wolves, Jazz, Nets, Knicks, Magic and Wizards.

Who says Cook Books are obsolete? Anyway, Booker is below average in several facets of his game besides rebounding, but teams shifting more focus on 3-pointers makes offensive rebounding a bit more valuable. He wouldn't start on really any team and would have the most fantasy value on the Jazz.
Jul 1 - 10:13 AM

The Wizards declined to make a qualifying offer to forward Trevor Booker on Saturday, which will make him an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Booker is an adequate big man, but far from a game changer. He'll be free to sign with any team this summer.
Jun 28 - 10:12 PM

Pending free agent Trevor Booker stated in a recent interview, "A lot of teams are calling right now, [and] we're in negotiations with a few different teams."

Booker probably shouldn't have said that considering that he's still under contract with the Wizards until June 30, and he's not even allowed to negotiate with other teams until July 1. What Booker is describing is called "tampering," and as we saw with Phil Jackson earlier this month, it's possible the league dishes out a fine to the teams that have reached out to Booker.

Jun 9 - 2:37 PM

Restricted free agent Trevor Booker will require more than his original qualifying offer of $3.4 million.

Because of his playing time, Booker meets the "starter criteria" in the NBA's collective bargaining agreement. The Wizards are expected to try and bring Booker back for his rebounding prowess even with the increase in pay.
