The Jazz have a $4.8 million team option on Trevor Booker next season, and Booker is hopeful that he will return to Utah.
"Of course I want to be back," Booker said. "I got the sense that they want me back, so I feel it's mutual. But, you know, at the end of the day, it's still always a business, so we'll see." Booker emerged as the primary big off the bench once Enes Kanter bolted town, and he proved to be a quality backup behind Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors down the stretch. Booker finished the season with averages of 7.2 points, 5.0 boards and 1.1 assists in just under 20 minutes per game, so he won't be a viable option in standard fantasy leagues next season with the way the Jazz are currently constructed. Trevor Booker said he would like to return with the Jazz next season.

The Jazz have a team option on Booker for next season, so it'll be interesting to see if they pick that up. He does fit well in Utah's system, and he is a quality reserve to have, so there's a chance he remains in Utah. However, as long as Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert are healthy, Booker will have zero fantasy value in standard leagues.
Apr 16 - 6:26 PM

Trevor Booker had some knee issues on Wednesday and did not play.

He had a really good run heading into tonight, but it's important to remember Booker is a little injury prone. Still, he's been a nice little addition this season for the Jazz.
Apr 15 - 11:53 PM

Trevor Booker double-doubled with Derrick Favors (back) out in Monday's win over the Mavs, scoring 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with 12 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 30 minutes.

Booker is basically going to be maxed out by the Jazz and it sounds like they're leaning toward keeping Favors out on Wednesday, though nothing is certain at this point. He should be in most lineups after the two-game run he has had.
Apr 14 - 4:23 AM

Trevor Booker started in place of Derrick Favors (rest) and scored a career-high 36 points with nine rebounds in a 111-105 win over the Blazers on Saturday.

Booker shot an impressive 12-of-15 from the field and added one assist, two steals and one block in 36 minutes. Booker was held scoreless in 15 minutes on Friday vs. the Grizzlies, so he would need Favors to rest again before we could get behind an add in standard leagues. Looking ahead, the Jazz play at home vs. the Mavericks on Monday, and finish the season on the road in Houston on Wednesday. Favors will likely play Monday, but it's possible that the Jazz hold him out on Wednesday, meaning owners in daily leagues should keep an eye on the injury report.
Apr 12 - 12:43 AM

Trevor Booker took a hit with the return of Derrick Favors on Wednesday, but still played 29 minutes and hit 3-of-9 shots for nine points, four rebounds, a steal and a block.

Booker was decent tonight, but if Favors is playing, we want no part of Booker in fantasy lineups.
Apr 2 - 1:41 AM

Trevor Booker will shift back to the Jazz bench on Wednesday with Derrick Favors (back) returning to action.

Booker posted 17 points and 13 rebounds on Monday but his role will be drastically reduced with Favors back in the lineup. He's only worth considering in deep leagues.
Apr 1 - 7:16 PM

Trevor Booker went for 17 and 13 with Derrick Favors (back) out in Monday's win over the Wolves, hitting 7-of-11 shots (including a three) with two blocks in 33 minutes.

Booker has a chance of putting up startable numbers any night that Favors is out, so if you need a short-term plug-in give him a look. The fact that the Jazz aren't going to rush back Favors also helps here.
Mar 31 - 2:00 AM

Trevor Booker started in place of Derrick Favors (back) on Saturday vs. the Thunder and scored 12 points with three boards, one steal and one 3-poiner in 33 minutes.

This wasn't a great line by any means, but the Thunder have some serious size in the paint and this wasn't a great matchup for Booker. It isn't clear if Favors will need to miss any more games, but Booker will be worth a look in most leagues if the Jazz keep Favors on the shelf. On a side note, Booker had one of the quotes of the night when he took a subtle shot at former teammate Enes Kanter. "He did what he always does," Booker said. "He got his stats. He didn't defend. He took an L [a loss)."
Mar 28 - 11:57 PM

Trevor Booker will start against the Thunder on Saturday.

He should get minutes in the 24-30 range tonight and will likely have a good chance at a double-double. Although, these are the two best teams for rebounding, so a double-double won't be easy to come by.
Mar 28 - 8:20 PM

Trevor Booker scored six points on 2-of-5 shooting with five rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in Friday's loss to the Nuggets.

Booker could slide into some extra minutes if Derrick Favors (back) misses some time and though he has never been a big minute guy he'd probably be worth the plug-and-play.
Mar 28 - 5:04 AM

Trevor Booker is hopeful that the Jazz will bring him back next season.

"I definitely want to be back," Booker said. "I love this place. I have great teammates, and I see big things for the team. I want to be a part of that." The Jazz hold a team option on Booker for next season, but given how highly everyone thinks about him in Utah, it's hard to imagine him leaving. Booker has emerged as the primary big off the bench since Enes Kanter bolted town, but he is still only averaging 18.6 minutes over his last five games. If Derrick Favors or Rudy Gobert ever pick up an injury, Booker would be worth a look in most leagues, but he is firmly off the radar as of right now.
Mar 18 - 9:23 AM

Trevor Booker had 11 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes of Wednesday's loss.

Booker came off the bench and helped out Derrick Favors, who was in foul trouble with five of them. Favors still had 16 points, five boards and a block, and when combined with phenom Rudy Gobert, makes Booker an afterthought on most nights.
Mar 4 - 10:48 PM

Trevor Booker had his best game in a while on Saturday vs. the Bucks, scoring 12 points with six boards, two steals and one block in 27 minutes.

It was the most minutes he had played since Dec. 1, and it was also the most points he has scored in the month of February. Booker hasn't yet capitalized on the departure of Enes Kanter, but now that he has become the first big off the bench for Utah, owners in deeper leagues will want to keep an eye on him moving forward.
Mar 1 - 12:50 AM

Trevor Booker scored six points with five rebounds and two steals against the Mavs on Wednesday.

With Enes Kanter likely out of the picture, Booker should have minutes in the 20s headed his way. He has season averages of 7.0 points, 4.4 boards, 0.4 blocks and 0.5 steals on 51.6 percent from the field. He could be a 10-8 guy, so give him a look in deep leagues.
