Magic will sign G Armon Johnson and G/F DeQuan Jones for training camp.

Johnson was "very confident" in August that he'd be signed by a team before the season started, and he'll have a chance to earn a spot with the Magic. He was waived by the Blazers in February and finished the season with the Nets. Jones went undrafted in 2012 after four years at the University of Miami.

Armon Johnson is "very confident" that he'll be signed before next season begins.

Johnson, a free agent, was asked by the Nets to sit out summer league in case he was a part of a Dwight Howard trade, so he didn't get the opportunity to audition in front of scouts. However, that hasn't dissuaded Johnson's confidence. "I've been talking to some teams," he said. "I'm working my butt off in the gym to be ready for camp, and I'm going to take advantage of whatever opportunity I get." He'll offer no fantasy value regardless of where he lands.

Johnson will get run for the final three games of the season as a backup point guard in New Jersey.

Nets signed G Armon Johnson to a 10-day contract.

With Jordan Farmar (groin) likely done for the season, the Nets will give Johnson a look as depth at point guard.

The Cavs have expressed interested in free agent Armon Johnson, a source tells Blazers Edge.

This is interesting because it suggests the Cavs are in the market for point guard help. That would mean they are close to dealing Ramon Sessions. Owners need to be holding Sessions through the deadline to see if he can land a starting gig.

Blazers waived G Armon Johnson.

Someone had to go in order to make room for Joel Przybilla, and Johnson gets the ax instead of Greg Oden. Johnson, a 2010 second round pick out of Nevada, spent much of this season in the D-League. He's got a chance to latch on with someone else thanks to his defensive abilities.

Blazers recall guard Armon Johnson from D-League's Idaho Stampede.

He averaged 11 points and seven assists during his stint in Idaho and will help back up Raymond Felton for the Blazers.

The Blazers have assigned Armon Johnson to the NBDL.

Additionally, the team has sent Luke Babbitt along with him. Each will get more consistent playing time that they need rather than sitting at the end of Portland's bench.

Armon Johnson (cut knee) returned to action on Tuesday, playing four minutes with two points on one field goal attempt and an assist.

He has had a good rookie campaign and raised some eyebrows with his play earlier in the year, but has fallen behind Paddy Mills for PG duties, with no fantasy value to speak of.

Armon Johnson will not play on Saturday due to a cut knee and stitches he received in Friday's game.

His timetable to return is unknown, but with Paddy Mills and Rudy Fernandez ahead of him in the grand scheme of things, his absence will not impact fantasy leagues at all.

The Blazers have assigned Armon Johnson to the D-League's Idaho Stampede.

Johnson has a solid NBA build and the tenacity to become a reliable guard, but right now he needs experience -- and he'll get plenty in the D-League.

Armon Johnson, who has been praised by just about everybody around the Blazers, had his first really bad night on Saturday, with six turnovers and only a steal and an assist in 12 minutes.

It's been thought that he could start cutting into Andre Miller's (six points, 13 assists, 34 minutes) playing time, but it looks like that's not such a sure bet after tonight. Either way, it's something to watch for, but Miller's owners shouldn't react until Johnson can be consistent.

Rookie backup PG Armon Johnson is turning heads in Portland, and had another solid night off the bench with 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds and five assists in 22 minutes.

If you want to know how much the Blazers like him, follow the link, but it's safe to say that they like him a lot. He plays ferocious defense and has all of the intangibles, and may have be a part of the Blazers' plans to help keep Andre Miller (12 points, five boards, 27 minutes) fresh this year.

Rookie Armon Johnson set his career scoring mark at 10 points in Monday's game, hitting 4-of-8 shots from the field to go with two rebounds and two assists in 12 minutes.

He will need a series of injuries to matter in fantasy leagues, although the exit of Jerryd Bayless did help him out a bit.
