Nemanja Bjelica scored 18 points (6-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 22 minutes against the Warriors on Friday.
Marvin Bagley (knee) left after just five minutes of playing time, but foul trouble prevented Bjelica from playing more of the available time. His minutes have been bouncing up and down between the high-teens and high-20s, even without Bagley, over the past month. There will be more time available if Bagley misses time, but there's no guarantee Bjelica will benefit from it. He's still worth owning in most leagues, though, even with the inconsistency. Nemanja Bjelica exacted some revenge on Wednesday with 25 points, five rebounds, four 3-pointers, three assists and two blocks in a win vs. Minnesota.

Bjelica must be pleased with his decision as a free agent this summer. He landed a three-year, $20.5 million contract in a tight market, has started all 26 games for Sacramento, and tonight's win helped the Kings assume the No. 8 seed in the West (Minnesota is tied for No. 13). Bjelica has been a worthwhile fantasy option overall this season, but reduced minutes (29 tonight, but just 22.2 in November) make him hard to trust in most 10- and 12-team formats.
Dec 13 - 1:02 AM

Nemanja Bjelica had 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting with four rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes during Friday's road win.

Bjelica hadn't played 30 minutes in a game since Oct. 30, a span of 16 games, and it's surprising that his playing time spiked the same night Marvin Bagley (back) returned from injury. He's been a pleasant surprise this season and is worth owning in deeper leagues, but most owners should look for more reliable options unless Bjelica's playing time settles in the 28-30 range -- we're not holding our breath.
Dec 7 - 10:14 PM

Nemanja Bjelica played 21 minutes and hit 1-of-3 shots for two points, seven rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in Tuesday's easy win over the Suns.

This game was over early, as the Kings opened up a 36-9 first-quarter lead, but Bjelica still got his normal minutes. He just didn't do anything with them. He had scored in double figures in his previous three games in fewer minutes, and is still worth a fantasy look for however long Marvin Bagley is out with his back injury, but tonight was clearly a disappointment.
Dec 5 - 12:03 AM

Nemanja Bjelica scored 11 points (4-of-5 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs) with five rebounds, one assist, and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Clippers on Thursday.

Bjelica's playing time has really taken a hit with Marvin Bagley ascending of late, but Bagley left the game early with back tightness. If he were to miss any time, Bjelica would stand to gain value in the short-term.
Nov 30 - 1:25 AM

Nemanja Bjelica bounced back on Sunday with 12 points on 4-of-4 shooting, five rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes.

The veteran scored just one point on 0-of-3 shooting on Saturday, so this was a relative improvement for owners who kept the faith. He was surging in late October but his role has been significantly reduced this month, with only 6.9 shot attempts per game in November. Marvin Bagley's presence should only increase throughout the year, so Bjelica doesn't have obvious upside.
Nov 25 - 10:49 PM

Nemanja Bjelica finished Saturday's loss to the Warriors with one point in 19 minutes.

He had scored 12 and 18 in his last two games prior to this, but is becoming a pretty substantial headache after starting the season so strong. In his last five games, Bjelica's point totals look like this: 8, two, 12, 18 and one. He could become valuable again at some point, but it's understandable if you want to drop him and not look back.
Nov 25 - 12:14 AM

Nemanja Bjelica scored 18 points with seven rebounds, two assists, one block and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Jazz on Wednesday.

While Marvin Bagley III is coming along, it's helpful for Bjelica that the Kings are running with the occasional no-center lineups. He's had two good games in a row with his minutes sitting at 23-plus in six of his last seven, so he should be owned in standard leagues after a slump earlier this month.
Nov 22 - 12:32 AM

Nemanja Bjelica scored 12 points (5-of-6 FG) with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in 23 minutes in Monday's win over Oklahoma City.

After playing just under 14 minutes in Saturday's loss to Houston, Bjelica started and played 23 minutes against the Thunder. His made field goal total was his most in a game since November 9 against Minnesota (6-of-13), and in the four games prior to Monday Bjelica shot a combined 8-of-21 from the field (5-of-11 3PT). Whether or not his playing time is consistently at this level remains to be seen, especially with Marvin Bagley III performing well against the Thunder.
Nov 20 - 2:34 AM

Nemanja Bjelica scored two points with one rebound in 14 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday.

Bagley played 27 minutes, which almost doubled Bjelica's total. A report came down during the game that coach Dave Joerger's status is in doubt because he isn't playing Bagley enough. If true, Bjelica has the most to lose from Bagley playing more. Keep an eye on this situation.
Nov 17 - 11:46 PM

Nemanja Bjelica scored 11 points vs. the Spurs on Monday with six rebounds, one steal and three triples in 27 minutes.

His production has been all over the place and he's probably been one of the most added/dropped players of the past two weeks. Overall, he has mid-round value on the season because of his multi-category production, and with the Kings sitting at 8-6, they may continue to ride him as their starting PF. Whether or not he loses his job to Marvin Bagley later in the season remains to be seen.
Nov 13 - 1:54 AM

Nemanja Bjelica was held to just two points on 1-of-6 shooting Saturday, to go with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and two turnovers across 26 minutes.

Bjelica had the unfortunate task of guarding LeBron James in this one, something he was not at all equipped for, and he was regularly roasted on the defensive end of the floor. Bjelica showed signs of life during Friday's win over the Timberwolves, but he was back to being horrific on Saturday, and he's been in an awful rut for a week now. He's not quite a cut-candidate just yet, but the math on that will change if he struggles again on Monday.
Nov 11 - 1:56 AM

Nemanja Bjelica scored 14 points against his former Wolves on Friday, adding eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks and two triples in 27 minutes.

He had a really slow start but turned things around with a 10-point third quarter. At one point he showed his confidence with a heat check just inside halfcourt and drained it. He was coming off two duds in a row with a combined four points in those games, so maybe he's ready to go another hot streak after this encouraging performance.
Nov 10 - 1:13 AM

Nemanja Bjelica didn't score in 19 minutes on Wednesday, going 0-of-5 from the field with three assists, four steals, one block, one turnover and four fouls.

The defensive stats salvaged some value for fantasy owners and Bjelica has been a nice surprise this season, but he's now averaging just 21.3 minutes over the Kings' past three games. Foul trouble was a limiting factor tonight, but the hot start may not be sustainable. He's been too good to cut outright in deeper leagues, but owners in 10-team leagues couldn't be blamed for pursuing a hot free agent.
Nov 8 - 12:45 AM

Nemanja Bjelica was held to four points on 2-of-8 shooting during Sunday's blowout loss to the Bucks, adding four rebounds, one assist and a turnover across 21 minutes.

Bjelica got abused in the pick-and-roll, and on the other end of the floor, Milwaukee did a nice job of running him off the line. He got off to a hot start this season, but it could be tough for him to sustain what he was doing if opponents start to key in on him in the scouting report. Once the Kings are mathematically eliminated from the postseason, Bjelica will likely concede his starting spot to Marvin Bagley.
