Nemanja Bjelica had two rebounds without any other stats in six minutes on Sunday, going 0-of-2 from the field in six minutes of action.
Bjelica was invisible over the Wolves' final three regular-season games, going 2-of-13 from the field while averaging 1.7 points. His time in the spotlight without Jimmy Butler was short-lived and he could fall out of the rotation entirely, based on tonight's dud. Apr 15 - 11:55 PM

Nemanja Bjelica scored 10 points with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday.

This is probably going to be his last game in the starting lineup. Bjelica does play on Friday night and Jimmy Butler probably won't hit 35 minutes, so Bjelica's fantasy owners may want to hold him for Friday before dropping him.
Apr 6 - 1:07 AM

Nemanja Bjelica had another rough night on Sunday, playing 26 minutes to finish with seven points on 2-of-7 shooting, five rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Bjelica added one 3-pointer with 2-of-2 free throws, so it could have been worse, but fantasy owners should have moved on by now. He's scored double-digit points just three times in the past nine games, and with Jimmy Butler (knee) nearing a return the clock is ticking for his starting job.
Apr 1 - 9:56 PM

Nemanja Bjelica scored 14 points with six rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday.

Coach Tom Thibodeau dropped his minutes for three of the previous four games, so the playing time being high again is a great sign. However, Jimmy Butler (knee) is getting close to a return and it feels like he can take on contact any day now. Bjelica should have at least one more useful game on Friday against the Mavs and perhaps Sunday against Utah, but most owners will be dropping him after Sunday because Butler would likely be back for Thursday against the Nuggets.
Mar 28 - 11:04 PM

Nemanja Bjelica missed all five of his shots and failed to score in Monday's 101-93 loss to the Grizzlies, finishing with just four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 22 minutes.

Bjelica has gone ice cold, scoring five or fewer points in three of his last five games and averaging just 7.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 3-pointers on 40 percent shooting over that stretch. He was rolling before that, but Jimmy Butler remains out after knee surgery, so there's still time for Bjelica to get hot again. But if there's a hot player on waivers you'd rather roll the dice on, it probably makes sense. The Wolves are now just 1.5 games up on the Nuggets for the final playoff spot in the West, so they could really use a resurgence from Bjelica to finish out the regular season. But it's hard to tell if he's going to be capable of pulling it off or not.
Mar 26 - 10:29 PM

Nemanja Bjelica made 2-of-9 from the field for five points with four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

He's really cooled off lately in the scoring column with just 9.2 points per game over his last five, adding 6.4 boards, 1.6 dimes, 0.4 steals and 1.4 treys. Jimmy Butler (knee) did take some shots recently and he's progressing, but it sounds like Bjelica has another week with some value.
Mar 24 - 8:43 PM

Nemanja Bjelica had a solid all-around game vs. the Knicks on Friday with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and three triples in 38 minutes.

He hit 2-of-4 free throws and 6-of-8 shots with just a single turnover. This is exactly what fantasy owners wanted to see after his two-point dud vs. the Clippers on Tuesday. Bjelica has played 34+ minutes in eight out of nine games in March and has been a top-50 player in 9-category leagues over the past month. If you picked up when Jimmy Butler (knee) went down, he's been a lifesaver.
Mar 24 - 12:18 AM

Nemanja Bjelica was held to two points vs. the Clippers on Tuesday, adding eight rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes.

He was a victim of the matchup tonight because we saw a lot of small ball from the Wolves and Jamal Crawford had the hot hand off the bench. Jimmy Butler (knee) still doesn't have a return date and Bjelica was averaging 14.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.1 triples in March prior to Tuesday, so must of his owners should sit tight unless you really need to stream someone on Wednesday and Thursday.
Mar 20 - 11:28 PM

Nemanja Bjelica ended up with seven points and eight rebounds over 37 minutes in Saturday's 117-101 loss in San Antonio.

Bjelica saw his season-high double-digit point streak come to an end, although he is working on a stretch seven or more rebounds in four in a row and seven of the past eight outings. He continues to log big-time minutes with Jimmy Butler (knee) on the shelf, and it might not be until the NBA playoffs before we see Butler against. As such, Bjelica will continue to play a huge role down the stretch in Minnesota and for fantasy owners.
Mar 18 - 1:35 AM

Nemanja Bjelica hit 7-of-16 shots and three 3-pointers for 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, a steal and a block in 39 minutes of Tuesday's big 115-111 win at Washington.

Bjelica went on a 10-point tear midway through the fourth quarter that basically put the Wolves in position to win, and then Karl-Anthony Towns (a big 3-pointer) and Jeff Teague (a big steal) sealed the deal on the win. Bjelica's been filling in nicely for Jimmy Butler and is averaging 15.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.4 3-pointers on 51 percent shooting over his last five games. Butler will be back at some point, but it may not be until the playoffs. If you own Bjelica, plan on riding him to the end of the regular season, and hope that the 41 minutes a night he's getting don't end up taking a toll on the big man.
Mar 13 - 9:43 PM

Nemanja Bjelica did a little bit of everything during Sunday's win over the Warriors, tallying 10 points, seven boards, four dimes, three steals, two blocks and one turnover in 40 minutes.

Apparently, Tom Thibodeau learned nothing from the Jimmy Butler (knee) injury, as Bjelica has now earned minutes in the 40s in three consecutive games. While it's risky for Bjelica's health, it's certainly a positive for his fantasy value as he's produced averages of 13.3 points, 8.2 boards, 2.3 dimes, 2.0 triples, 1.5 steals, 0.5 swats and 1.3 turnovers per game on 50.8% shooting since entering the starting lineup. He should be owned in all leagues.
Mar 11 - 6:58 PM

Nemanja Bjelica scored a career-high 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting and added 12 rebounds, two assists and six treys across 40 minutes in Thursday's loss to the Celtics.

Bjelica was on fire all evening, almost singlehandedly keeping the Wolves within striking distance of the Celtics. Bjelica was inserted into the starting lineup in place fo Jimmy Butler back in late February and averaged 10.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 36.5 minutes over the first four games after Butler injured his knee. However, this was Belly's breakout performance. He's logged at least 33 minutes in each start, which gives him a relatively high fantasy floor going forward. He will be a hot pickup this week.
Mar 8 - 10:39 PM

Nemanja Bjelica finished with 12 points across 45 minutes in Friday's loss at Utah.

Bjelica hit 3-of-8 from the floor, including 2-of-4 from behind the 3-point line, while adding 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. He was relied upon heavily in the frontcourt with Karl-Anthony Towns getting the boot in the second quarter after a second technical. He'll continue to log heavy minutes with Jimmy Butler (knee) on the mend.
Mar 3 - 2:41 AM

Nemanja Bjelica scored eight points with 12 rebounds, one steal and one block in 34 minutes against the Blazers on Thursday.

Coach Tom Thibodeau continues to play his starters together a ton, so that should lock Bjelica into heavy minutes. He hasn't quite hit his stride on offense, but he's been strong on the glass and in non-scoring areas. He should be owned in standard leagues while Jimmy Butler (knee) is on the shelf.
Mar 2 - 1:11 AM

Nemanja Bjelica played 33 minutes and hit 5-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and four steals in Monday's win over the Kings.

Jimmy Butler's out for several weeks and Bjelica is starting in his place. He was good tonight, and also has the ability to block some shots. Another thing working in his favor is that Tom Thibodeau only played eight guys until the final two minutes of a game the Wolves were in control of, so Bjelica should be guaranteed heavy minutes until Butler is back. He should be a pretty hot pickup in fantasy leagues right now.
