Jeremy Evans scored two points with four rebounds and one turnover in 24 minutes in the starting lineup against the Clippers on Thursday.
With Chandler Parsons (knee) set to come back on Sunday, Evans' playing time doesn't look good. He wasn't playing well as a small forward, which makes sense after he made just six jumpers last season. Oct 30 - 1:23 AM

Jeremy Evans saw 26 minutes as the backup small forward on Wednesday with seven points, six boards, one block and one 3-pointer.

Chandler Parsons (knee) is coming back hopefully as soon as Sunday, so Evans isn't a strong pickup. His minutes were slightly inflated due to garbage time, too. Credit to him for learning a new position on his new team, though.
Oct 29 - 4:10 AM

Jeremy Evans started at center on Monday, finishing with 12 points, six boards, two 3-pointers and one block in 25 minutes.

He also took a shoulder to the chest from J.R. Smith, but he did return. Evans is going to play a mixture of both forward spots and apparently some minutes at the five too. He still isn't worth drafting in almost any league.
Oct 19 - 9:47 PM

Jeremy Evans struggled in his start at small forward on Tuesday, scoring two points with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 17 minutes.

The Mavs are playing him a little out of position based on how the Jazz used him at the four. In a perfect world, the Mavs use him like Al-Farouq Aminu as a combo forward and maybe more at the four. Although, the Mavs not being healthy on the wing explains why he started at small forward. This is also not great news for Justin Anderson, but it is the preseason.

Coach Rick Carlisle acknowledged that Jeremy Evans will be "one of our better defensive players."

"He’s going to have to guard a lot of different positions because we’re having him play the three, four and five on offense so he’s probably going to have to be guarding all of those positions on defense," Carlisle said. After the coach previously said Evans would play three different positions, it's clear the highly-athletic forward will have a real role. That being said, it's unlikely to translate into fantasy value outside of extremely deep leagues, as Evans is going to be more valuable in real life than fantasy circles.
Oct 12 - 9:49 AM

Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said the team is working on extending Jeremy Evans' range.

Carlisle said the team is attempting to extend Evans' range to the three-point line at SF, but added that Evans will play a lot of PF and C this season. Evans averaged just 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in five seasons with the Jazz, so he can be ignored in standard fantasy leagues.
Oct 1 - 12:42 PM

The Mavericks announced the signing of Jeremy Evans on Friday.

Evans averaged just 3.7 points and 2.7 boards in five seasons with the Jazz, so there isn't a lot to be excited about in terms of fantasy. Evans will be battling with Charlie Villanueva and Dwight Powell for minutes behind Dirk Nowitzki.
Aug 1 - 11:21 AM

The Mavericks and free agent F Jeremy Evans have agreed to a two-year contract at the league minimum.

Dallas now has nine players with guaranteed or agreed-upon contracts next season, and they'll be active in the free-agent market as they continue to fill out the roster. Evans will give them some athleticism and dirty-work minutes off the bench, but he remains a fantasy non-entity while Dirk Nowitzki is healthy.
Jul 5 - 5:07 PM

Jeremy Evans (ankle) went through shootaround, and will be available to play Friday

Over five games this season, Evans has scored two points. There is no fantasy value here, move along.

Jeremy Evans (ankle) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.

He is not in the rotation any was and his absence would not effect the rotation. You can leave him on the waiver wire in almost all leagues.

Jeremy Evans (ankle) is now out for Saturday's game against the Clippers.

This news shouldn't matter in your fantasy league, as he has not been in the rotation this season. You can safely leave him on the waiver wire in almost all leagues.

Jeremy Evans is questionable for Saturday's game against the Clippers after he sprained his ankle during Friday's practice.

He is not in the rotation anyways, so this news shouldn't matter in the vast majority of leagues. Evans will need a few injuries to strike the Jazz before being relevant, so you can safely leave him on the waiver wire.

Jeremy Evans (ankle) is questionable to face the Clippers on Saturday.

He has a left ankle sprain and ti doesn't sound too serious. Evans isn't really in the rotation anyway, so he can be ignored in most leagues.

Jeremy Evans came off Utah's bench for four points, eight rebounds and two blocks in Sunday's road loss to the Pacers.

He was questionable to play due to a sprained ankle, but wound up giving another efficient performance in 20 minutes off the bench. Lines like this are the norm for Evans, so if you don't find it useful look elsewhere for waiver wire production.

Jeremy Evans (sprained ankle) will play vs. the Pacers on Sunday.

He's less than 100 percent healthy and faces the league's premier defense, so there's no incentive to gamble on him in fantasy leagues. He's averaging 5.2 points and 5.0 rebounds in Utah's last five games.
