Timofey Mozgov double-doubled on Wednesday with 13 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes.
His minutes are safe with JaVale McGee not ready to resume a consistent role. Mozgov isn't going to be the sexiest fantasy asset on your team, but the stats are going to be there and he's even taking 3-pointers now. He's worth owning in all leagues. Oct 30 - 1:47 AM

Timofey Mozgov had a quiet night on Tuesday, scoring six points with three rebounds and two blocks, while racking up five fouls in 16 minutes.

Fouls haven't been a particular problem for Mozgov, who seems to have the starting center job locked up despite JaVale McGee's return to action. Fantasy owners should view Mozzy's splits as a starter last year as the floor of his value -- 10.8 points on 51.9 percent shooting, 7.6 rebounds, 0.4 steals and 1.3 blocks in 25 minutes per game.
Oct 22 - 12:43 AM

Timofey Mozgov scored 18 points with six boards, one assist, two steals and one block in 27 minutes.

He made his first 3-pointer of the preseason and he only needed three attempts to do it. Mozgov is locked in as the starting center and with JaVale McGee (leg) not too close to returning, Mozzy is worth a look late in drafts.

The Denver Nuggets have been receiving inquiries about Timofey Mozgov's trade availability.

With his $4.6 million salary for 2014-15, Mozgov represents one of the better big man values in the NBA and the Nuggets don't seem inclined to give him up. The 28-year-old will likely open the regular season as Denver's starting center as JaVale McGee rehabs his knee and has a good chance of holding onto the job even when McGee is healthy. Mozgov averaged 15.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game during the month of April last season and is a well worth a late-round pick in standard fantasy leagues.

Head coach Brian Shaw heaped praise on Timofey Mozgov during a recent interview, saying he's been one of his favorite players.

"[Mozgov's] been my favorite," Shaw said. "Just because as a coach, he's kind of like a coach's dream. He does everything that you ask him to do. It's nice to see when it pays off." Mozgov is currently projected as the teams' starting center with JaVale McGee (knee) still on the mend; however, it's difficult to see the star of Shaqtin' a Fool to overtake Mozgov for the starting spot once he returns to the court. Mozgov is a beast on the glass, and doesn't hurt you in any one area of the game, making him an appealing late round selection in standard leagues.

Timofey Mozgov led the Nuggets with 20 points in Wednesday's exhibition victory, making 8-of-8 field goals and 4-of-4 free throws.

Mozgov's perfect night included eight rebounds (two offensive), one assist and three blocks in just 24 minutes. JaVale McGee (knee) didn't play and Mozgov appears to be in the driver's seat for the starting C job, making him a late-round option in 12-team leagues.

Brian Shaw said "we'll kind of have to wait and see" when asked who his starting center would be this season.

It's either going to be Timofey Mozgov or JaVale McGee, and Mozzy might have the upper hand due to the fact that McGee may still not be 100 percent healthy from his fractured right fibula. Additionally, Mozgov might have the upper hand because he's not featured weekly in "Shaqtin' A Fool.'Neither center is a must-own candidate at this point, but both should have some decent value this season as long as they are healthy.

Timofey Mozgov said on Thursday that "all the talks about [a] trade to Cleveland are just rumors."

"My last season in Denver was good," he continued. "And to try and do something to leave the team wouldn’t be smart." Mozgov also admitted that he does not want to join the Cavaliers to simply coast to a championship. "I would like to play with LeBron. But even though playing for a contender is cool, you got to understand that I want to be part of the team and not to just join a contender and ride the coattails, being a burden."

The Cavaliers are still trying to acquire Timofey Mozgov, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

As the Cavs continue their search for a center to backup Anderson Varejao, their search is focused on the Nuggets' Mozgov and Kosta Koufos of the Memphis Grizzlies. Windhorst adds that the Cavs have been trying to acquire Mozgov for the last six to eight weeks while the Grizzlies are reluctant to part with Koufos due to Marc Gasol's injury last season. Mozgov wouldn't have much fantasy value in Cleveland, but a trade could open up more minutes for JaVale McGee and J.J. Hickson in Denver.
Aug 26 - 12:40 PM

The Cavs offered a first-round pick to the Nuggets for Timofey Mozgov.

The Cavs will need a center behind Anderson Varejao and Mozgov would be a nice fit. He's not a great offensive guy, but who needs more offense with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love? Mozgov projects as the starting center for the Nuggets, so if he's dealt he'd open up more playing time for JaVale McGee, J.J. Hickson, Jusuf Nurkic.
Aug 8 - 11:15 AM

Timofey Mozgov could end up starting at center to begin the 2014-15 season, according to the Denver Post.

JaVale McGee broke his leg and J.J. Hickson tore his ACL to end their seasons, but Mozgov may have earned his way into the first unit even when those two come back healthy. At best, he'll likely be in a timeshare, so he'll only be worthy of a pick in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.

May 23 - 10:20 AM

Timofey Mozgov left Tuesday's game briefly with a right knee injury, but returned to finish with 18 points, 11 rebounds and a block in a loss to the Clippers.

He's really turned it on over the last few weeks and his injury is no big deal. All indications are that he'll get solid minutes again in Wednesday's finale against the Warriors.
Apr 16 - 1:23 AM

Timofey Mozgov left Tuesday's game early with a right knee injury and went to the locker room, but was able to return a short time later.

He must have just knocked his knee, avoiding a serious injury. If you need Mozgov in your lineup tonight, a crisis looks to have been avoided.
Apr 15 - 10:58 PM

Timofey Mozgov, who had 23 points, 29 rebounds and three blocks on Thursday, double-doubled again on Saturday, but had just 11 points, 10 rebounds and zero blocks.

It's hard to be disappointed with a double-double, but he wasn't nearly as fun to own tonight as he was 48 hours ago. He should finish up strong, so keep rolling him out there and hope for the best.
Apr 13 - 12:36 AM

Timofey Mozgov set an NBA season high with 29 boards against the Warriors on Thursday to go with 23 points, three assists, one steal and three blocks.

The Nuggets owned the glass and won the battle of the boards 63-38, including 25-6 on the offensive ends. Mozgov played a season-high 43 minutes tonight, which was a bit of a surprise since a lot of teams have gone small against the Warriors. Tonight's game might change that strategy, but the Nuggets are actually playing well with big wins over the Warriors and Rockets in a road back-to-back set. As for Mozgov, he's a must-own player the rest of the way with six nice games in a row.
