Timofey Mozgov played just nine minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Wizards with two boards and two fouls.
He missed all three of his shots from the field and this was the lowest amount of playing time that he has seen this season. The Wizards don't have a lot of size and Tristan Thompson is comfortable playing the five, so Mozgov was a victim of the matchup tonight. That being said, his minutes will float around the high teens and lower 20s going forward, so he's only an asset in deeper leagues. Dec 1 - 11:06 PM

Timofey Mozgov returned from a shoulder injury on Friday with eight points, three rebounds and one steal in 18 minutes.

He started really hot with the Cavs' first four points, but didn't do much after that. Mozgov hasn't had the impact Tristan Thompson has and the Cavs will likely keep his minutes around 20 going forward. He's only worth owning in deep leagues.
Nov 27 - 10:28 PM

Timofey Mozgov (shoulder) will start Friday's game vs. the Hornets.

He was a game-time decision but feels good enough to return after a three-game absence. His return bumps Tristan Thompson back to a reserve role, and will likely erase Anderson Varejao from the frontcourt rotation.
Nov 27 - 6:24 PM

Timofey Mozgov (shoulder) said that he will play vs. Charlotte on Friday, but coach David Blatt called him a game-time decision.

It sounds like Mozgov is probable but could still be ruled out if he has any discomfort during pre-game warmups. We should have a final confirmation of his status shortly before the Cavs' 7pm ET tip-off.
Nov 27 - 6:02 PM

Timofey Mozgov (shoulder) will be a game-time decision to face the Hornets on Friday.

There's a pretty good chance he may come off the bench because Tristan Thompson has looked good in the first unit. If Mozgov is a go, that would mean less run for Thompson and Anderson Varejao.
Nov 27 - 5:44 PM

Timofey Mozgov (shoulder) has been upgraded to questionable for Friday's game vs. the Hornets.

Mozgov wasn't even expected to return to the court until the beginning of December, so this is obviously a sign that his strained right deltoid is making progress. He will see how he feels during shootaround before the Cavs will determine his status, so we should have another update later in the afternoon. Tristan Thompson has been playing heavy minutes in Mozgov's absence, so it will be interesting to see what head coach David Blatt does with his rotation if Mozgov can play.
Nov 27 - 10:09 AM

Timofey Mozgov suffered a straight right deltoid and will miss the next 10-14 days.

He had an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. The Cavs probably won't be in a big rush to bring Mozgov back because they can just throw Tristan Thompson out there for more minutes. Thompson will be getting minutes in the mid 30s and should be a nightly double-double threat, making him worth a long look in standard league. If you don't want to wait two weeks for Mozzy, feel free to cut him.
Nov 20 - 2:22 PM

Timofey Mozgov (shoulder) will have an MRI on Friday.

He's the second player to suffer a shoulder strain tonight and require an MRI (Rudy Gay). Mozgov obviously isn't nearly the caliber player of Gay, so it's not a bad idea to make a proactive drop and add Tristan Thompson since his upside would be higher than Mozzy's anyway. Thompson is worth a look in standard leagues if you need some boards.
Nov 19 - 11:22 PM

Timofey Mozgov suffered a right shoulder strain and will not return.

Tristan Thompson started the second half and would be looking at a big uptick in playing time. It's too soon to tell if Mozgov will miss time, but Thompson would be worth a speculative add for owners looking to add some boards. Mozzy finished with two points in 11 minutes.
Nov 19 - 9:46 PM

Timofey Mozgov scored 10 points with six rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in 28 minutes against the Pistons on Tuesday.

He's been kind of boring on the season in his 21.7 minutes per game. In his 11 games, Mozgov has averages of 8.5 points, 5.0 boards, 0.3 steals and 1.2 blocks. He's outside of the top 150 for value in standard leagues and doesn't have much upside going forward.
Nov 18 - 12:05 AM

Timofey Mozgov, who is averaging 21.5 minutes per game, said it's "hard" not playing in the fourth quarter.

"It's still hard for you win or lose," Mozgov said. "You want to play anyway, but it's a long season and we have a lot of things to do so you've got to be smart about it."Averaging a very replaceable 8.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks, you can do better to fill out the back end of your roster.
Nov 9 - 2:17 PM

Timofey Mozgov failed to do much during his 23 minutes of action on Sunday, scoring just nine points on 2-of-5 shooting to go with six boards, one 3-pointer and a block.

Mozgov is currently locked into a value-killing timeshare with Tristan Thompson, and that is unlikely to change while the team is healthy. With averages of 8.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game on the season, Mozgov isn’t worth a roster spot in standard leagues.
Nov 8 - 6:32 PM

Timofey Mozgov blocked four shots on Monday against the Sixers, and also chipped in with six points, seven rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes.

Get used to these types of lower-end efforts that ultimately culminate in a late-round valuation.
Nov 2 - 9:40 PM

Timofey Mozgov logged just 18 minutes against the Heat on Friday, scoring nine points on 4-of-6 shooting with five rebounds and one block.

It's not pretty but this is more or less in line with his per-minute averages. He's a low-end center that should only be parted with for a mid-level free agent at this point.
Oct 30 - 11:38 PM

Timofey Mozgov was disappointing again on Wednesday, scoring nine points with four boards and two turnovers.

He didn't have any blocks and he played just 25 minutes, but this game was a blowout and the Cavs really didn't need him tonight. It's hard to forget how dominant he was in the NBA Finals last season, so hopefully the Cavs will make him a bigger part of the offense soon. Mozgov's owners should stay patient for now.
