Timofey Mozgov did not score against the Spurs on Thursday, adding four rebounds and one block in 10 minutes.
It was arguably his worst game of the season on both ends. After he played a whopping 38 minutes on Jan. 3, Mozgov has trended down big time with averages of 17.4 points, 7.0 points, 4.4 boards, 0.4 assists and 0.4 blocks in his last five. He should be around 20-24 minutes most nights, but doesn't have much value. Jan 12 - 11:29 PM

Timofey Mozgov did not practice on Wednesday and is expected to be fine for Thursday against the Spurs.

Coach Luke Walton said Mozgov may have taken an elbow to his hand, but there is no reason to think he'll miss Thursday at this point.
Jan 11 - 4:19 PM

Timofey Mozgov had one of his best games all season on Sunday, scoring 15 points on 7-of-7 shooting with nine rebounds, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes.

Orlando isn't a particularly easy matchup for centers, which makes this performance even more surprising. That said, Mozgov hasn't scored 10+ points in consecutive games since early December, and his wild inconsistency makes him unusable in most leagues.
Jan 9 - 1:45 AM

Timofey Mozgov played just 11 minutes and had seven points and five rebounds in Thursday's 118-109 loss to the Blazers.

The 11 minutes tied a season low and the Lakers went with a small lineup against the Blazers for matchup purposes, as well as the pace of the game. Mozgov is a borderline fantasy center who mixes up good outings with bad ones. He's averaging 7.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks in 22 minutes over his last five games, which is probably what you can expect from him going forward. You can likely do better off your waiver wire.
Jan 6 - 1:21 AM

Timofey Mozgov said that he needs to be more physical in the post.

"I need to pick it up, be more physical and hit people around," Mozgov said. "It’s not like killing someone, but being stronger." The Lakers gave Mozgov a four-year, $65 million contract this offseason to be an enforcer for them in the paint, but he hasn't done much in Los Angeles with averages of 8.1 points, 4.9 boards and just 0.5 blocks per contest in 21.9 minutes a night. He's the second-highest paid player on the Lakers' roster, but isn't worth owning anywhere.
Jan 4 - 12:09 PM

Timofey Mozgov missed all three of his shots and finished Thursday's loss with zero points, four rebounds and zero blocks.

He posts a nice line occasionally but is averaging just 9.2 points. 4.6 rebounds and 0.4 blocks over his last five games. You can do better off your waiver wire in most leagues.

Timofey Mozgov hit 8-of-11 shots for 19 points and three rebounds in Sunday's win over the Clippers.

This was his second-highest scoring line of the season and he actually tied Nick Young to lead the team in scoring last night. After three straight games and a total of just six points, Mozzy is coming back to life, averaging 12.3 points and 5.4 rebounds on 15-of-29 shooting over his last three. He's still far from a must-own center and the Lakers only play three times this week, but he still might be worth a flier if you're desperate. Montrezl Harrell, Dwight Powel and Kyle O'Quinn are probably safer center grabs, if available.

Timofey Mozgov hit 6-of-11 shots for 14 points, six rebounds and a block in Thursday's 115-107 loss to the Heat.

Mozgov played well against Hassan Whiteside, but probably wasn't in many lineups tonight. He had scored a grand total of six points over his previous three games, when he was getting very limited minutes, but played 30 of them tonight. That was likely due to the absence of Julius Randle, who was out for the birth of a child. Mozgov had a 12 & 13 double-double on Wednesday, Dec. 14, but disappeared in his next three games. He's only worth a look if you're desperate at center and he could easily return to obscurity in his next game.
Thu, Dec 22, 2016 11:07:00 PM

Timofey Mozgov missed both of his shots and finished with zero points and three fouls in just 11 minutes of Tuesday's loss to the Hornets.

After going for a 12 & 13 double-double on Dec. 15, Mozzy has managed a grand total of just six points and 15 rebounds over his last three games. If you've been thinking about dropping him and picking up a hot free agent, hopefully you already did it over the weekend.

Timofey Mozgov looked good vs. Brooklyn on Wednesday with a season-high 13 rebounds to go along with 12 points, one steal and one block in 33 minutes.

Mozgov tied his previous season-high with nine boards by halftime. The Nets are second to the Blazers as the easiest matchup for centers in fantasy this season, so Mozzy's line should be viewed with some skepticism. His next two opponents (the Sixers and Cavs) haven't been nearly as accommodating.
Thu, Dec 15, 2016 12:08:00 AM

Timofey Mozgov hit 5-of-8 shots for 10 points, nine rebounds, and two block shots in 20 minutes against the Pelicans.

Mozgov finished one rebound short of a double-double and has double-digit points in three of his last five games. He is averaging 21.5 minutes, 9.8 points, and 4.5 points over his last six games. The Lakers face the Bulls on Wednesday and his last time out against them, he scored eight points and grabbed two boards in 21 minutes of play.
Tue, Nov 29, 2016 10:51:00 PM

Timofey Mozgov scored 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting with three rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 31 minutes on Tuesday vs. the Thunder.

The Lakers needed his size against Steven Adams tonight and he rewarded them with some of his best minutes of the season. Mozgov was only getting 21.4 minutes per game prior to Tuesday and his upside is limited, so he's a deep-league asset until further notice.
Wed, Nov 23, 2016 01:14:00 AM

Timofey Mozgov scored a season-high 20 points with six rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes vs. the Nets on Tuesday.

Where did that come from? Mozgov was 7-of-11 from the field and this was his second largest workload of the season, but it smells like a fluke. He was averaging 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 21.5 minutes per game prior to Tuesday, so leave him on the wire unless he does this again.
Wed, Nov 16, 2016 01:10:00 AM

Timofey Mozgov (eye) returned to action on Friday vs. the Warriors, scoring four points with five rebounds, one assist and one block in 16 minutes.

The Warriors tend to go small, so that explains the low minutes for Mozzy. Prior to this dud, he was averaging 8.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 22.0 minutes, so he's better suited for deeper leagues.

Timofey Mozgov (eye) will play against the Warriors on Friday.

He had a doctor's appointment today and it went well. Mozgov should be able to resume his normal role as the main screener and rim protector. His return will hurt the upside of Larry Nance and Julius Randle while Ivica Zubac and Tarik Black see their roles diminish.
