Timofey Mozgov was benched for most of the second half and overtime on Sunday, finishing a loss to Houston with 10 points, four rebounds and one block.
He made 5-of-8 shots and was playing reasonably well, but Tristan Thompson (14 points, 19 rebounds) got hot and coach David Blatt rode him down the stretch. Mozzy is now averaging a mere 21.4 minutes over his past five games and the timeshare is a major concern for owners, though his excellent rebounds, blocks and FG percentages make him worth holding onto in standard leagues. Timofey Mozgov logged a double-double against the Warriors on Thursday, finishing with 10 points, 10 boards, two assists, one steal and one block in 25 minutes.

He has given the Cavaliers a huge presence in the paint since arriving from Denver and has helped them become a true contender in the Eastern Conference after their shaky start to the season. Mozgov is averaging 10.4 points, 7.4 boards and 1.8 blocks in just 24.8 minutes over his last five games and he should be a must-own player for the rest of the way.
Feb 26 - 11:40 PM

Timofey Mozgov neared his season-high with four blocks in just 20 minutes on Tuesday, adding 14 points and six rebounds in a 102-93 win vs. the Pistons.

Mozgov made 5-of-6 shots and 4-of-4 free throws, continuing his solid production since joining the Cavs in early January. Through 22 games with Cleveland, Mozzy is averaging 10.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 0.5 steals and 1.6 blocks, while shooting 58.0 percent from the field. His 65.5 percent FT shooting is offset by low turnovers in 9-cat leagues, resulting in solid top-100 value for the Cavs' starting center.
Feb 24 - 10:30 PM

Timofey Mozgov struggled during Sunday's win over the Knicks, scoring seven points on 3-of-4 shooting to go with six rebounds, one block and four turnovers through 24 minutes of action.

This is Mozgov's second dud in a row, but he should be better than this on most nights. He's averaging 10.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks on 58.8 percent shooting since being sent to Cleveland, and he'll look to bounce-back with a favorable matchup against the Pistons on Tuesday.
Feb 22 - 6:00 PM

Timofey Mozgov racked up five personal fouls in 26 minutes vs. the Bulls, finishing Thursday's loss in Chicago with 13 points (5-of-6 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), 11 rebounds and one block.

The per-minute numbers are solid but Mozgov's line could have been a lot better if he'd stayed on the court. The good news is that foul trouble hasn't been a real issue for him this season, as he's averaging just 3.8 fouls per 36 minutes since being traded to Cleveland. He's emerged as a mid-round value over the past month and should easily maintain that pace as the Cavs unquestioned starting center.
Feb 12 - 10:49 PM

Timofey Mozgov feasted against the Heat on Wednesday with 20 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 34 minutes.

If Kevin Love (eye) needs to miss time, Mozgov is likely going to have to play close to 35 minutes per night. His fantasy value is peaking right now, so feel free to see if a center-needy owner in your league is willing to overpay.
Feb 12 - 12:42 AM

Cavs C Timofey Mozgov approached his season-high with four blocks during Sunday's home win, adding eight points, 10 rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes.

He shot 4-of-6 from the field and continues to help fantasy owners in the traditional big-man categories of FG percentage, boards and blocks. His shot-blocking has been particularly encouraging since he came to Cleveland, and he's averaging 2.5 swats in four February games. Backup C Tristan Thompson added 10 points and eight boards in 29 minutes, and the Cavs have now won 13 of their past 14 games.
Feb 8 - 6:35 PM

Timofey Mozgov scored 10 points with eight rebounds, one steal and five blocks against the 76ers on Monday.

It did come against the 76ers, but this was a nice game from Mozzy. In his last five, he averaged 9.8 points, 7.4 boards, 2.2 blocks and 0.8 steals on 51.2 percent from the field. Mozgov's minutes have been a little inconsistent, but he's worth owning in standard leagues.
Feb 2 - 10:01 PM

The Cavaliers will pick up Timofey Mosgov's $4.9 million team option for next season according to Sportando.

Mozgov is literally a huge reason why the Cavaliers have had so much success in recent weeks, and the decision to bring him back couldn't have been any easier. Mozgov is going to be a double-double threat every night from here on out, so he is going to be worth owing in most leagues.

Jan 31 - 1:28 PM

Timofey Mozgov had 12 points, 10 rebounds and a block in Wednesday's win over the Blazers.

The Cavs have now won eight straight games after losing six straight, and 10-of-12 prior to their latest winning streak. Mozgov has been instrumental in the run and is averaging 10.0 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over his last five games. He struggled in his two previous outings, totaling just eight points and 13 rebounds, but got back on track tonight. He's recorded a double-double in four of his last six games, as well.
Jan 28 - 10:36 PM

Timofey Mozgov missed all three of his field goal attempts on Sunday, hitting a pair of free throws to finish with two points, six rebounds and two blocks in 28 minutes vs. the Thunder.

He was coming off three straight double-doubles so he earns a pass for this dud, but quiet games won't be uncommon given his garbage-man role offensively -- he had a usage rate of 9.1 percent on Sunday. Mozgov has still returned top-100 value over the past seven games, so owners should strive to remain patient.
Jan 25 - 7:26 PM

LeBron James said that new teammate Timofey Mozgov is a "walking double-double."

Mozgov has had a few peaks and valleys since joining the Cavaliers, but over the past two games he's averaging 15.5 points, 13.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks, while shooting a combined 15-of-26 from the field. Cleveland is riding a four-game win streak and fantasy owners who stuck with Mozgov have to be pleased with the expansion of his role since leaving Denver.

LeBron James said the Cavs are "clicking" and credited their recent success to Timofey Mozgov.

The Cavs have won four consecutive games and James said it's no coincidence that their success has come with Mozgov more integrated with the team. "It's funny, I was talking to my friend the other day and I said he's probably the best, as far as big, true big," James said. "He's probably the best one I've played with since Z [Zydrunas Ilgauskas]." Mozgov has averaged 11.75 points, 9.75 rebounds, and 1.25 blocks during the Cavs' four-game win streak and deserves to be owned in all fantasy leagues as long as he's rolling like this.
Jan 22 - 10:21 AM

Timofey Mozgov had 16 points, 11 rebounds, a steal and two blocks as the Cavs beat the Jazz to win their fourth straight game.

After some pretty shaky and inconsistent play early with the Cavs, Mozzy appears to be getting comfortable with his new team. He had 15 points, 15 boards, two steals and a block in his previous game, and could be ready to make a run. Make sure he's not available in your league.
Jan 21 - 10:44 PM

Timofey Mozgov scored 15 points with 15 rebounds, one steal and two blocks in Monday's win over the Bulls.

Mozgov had been struggling but this should be a sign that his standard league value isn't dead in the water. David Blatt has experience with him and he usually produces within a pretty predictable range, so late-round value is a pretty reasonable expectation. Give him a hard look if he was dropped.
