Timofey Mozgov finished Cleveland's Game 3 home win with nine points, five rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes of action.
The Cavs' starting center got a bloody nose in practice courtesy of teammate Tristan Thompson, but that wasn't a limiting factor on Sunday. Al Horford was ejected in the first half which led to small-ball lineups from the Hawks, so coach David Blatt countered with a LeBron/Tristan Thompson frontcourt for most of the second half. Mozgov has played 30+ minutes just once this postseason so fantasy owners shouldn't be shocked when he's held to the low 20s. May 25 - 12:06 AM

Timofey Mozgov was a non-factor in 23 minutes during Tuesday's Game 5 win, missing all seven of his field goals to finish with one point, six rebounds and one block.

Mozgov missed four shots within three feet of the rim and coach David Blatt didn't hesitate to bench him in favor of a small lineup with Tristan Thompson at center and LeBron James at power forward. Mozgov posted 15 points, nine boards, three assists and three blocks in nearly 40 minutes during Game 4, so the flow of the game will likely dictate his role in Chicago on Thursday.
May 12 - 9:52 PM

Timofey Mozgov played very well during Sunday's 86-84 win over the Bulls, scoring 15 points (4-of-5 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), with nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three turnovers through 39 minutes of action.

The 39 minutes were the most amount of minutes Mozgov has played this postseason, and he was crucial to the Cavs victory today. The Cavs don't have any real options to play behind Mozgov, so perhaps he continues to see heavy minutes for the remainder of the series. Fellow frontcourt-mate Tristan Thompson also played well through his 30 minutes of action, putting up 12 points while hauling in seven rebounds and throwing down some vicious dunks in the process. The Cavs will now head back to Cleveland with their second-round series all evened up at two-a-piece.
May 10 - 7:10 PM

Timofey Mozgov played very well during Sunday's Game 4 win over Boston, scoring 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting (4-of-5 from the line), with 11 rebounds, one steal and three blocks through 27 minutes of action.

Mozgov really racked up the blocks through the Cavs' first-round series, swatting away 12 shots in four games. His scoring comes and goes, but he's pretty consistent in the rebounding and shot-blocking department. The Cavs will really need his size in what will likely be a second-round matchup against the Bulls.
Apr 26 - 5:33 PM

Timofey Mozgov approached a Cavs' postseason record with five blocks on Tuesday, adding 16 points and seven rebounds in a Game 2 victory.

Mozgov helped the Cavs quickly erase and early 10-point deficit in the first quarter and his size could be a series-long problem for the Celtics. Cleveland paid dearly to acquire him from Denver this season, giving up two first-round picks, but it's paid off by stabilizing the Cavs' otherwise shaky frontcourt. Fantasy owners should remember that Mozgov will face additional competition with Anderson Varejao healthy next season.
Apr 21 - 10:07 PM

Timofey Mozgov double-doubled with 16 points and 13 rebounds in Monday's win over the Pistons.

Mozgov didn't have a steal or block and he has been a substandard option at center lately, averaging 10.8 points with 6.8 boards but just 1.3 combined steals and blocks over the last four games. Add in 58.3 percent shooting from the foul line and 3.0 turnovers per game in that span and you'd have to be targeting points and boards to get any value out of him.
Apr 14 - 12:31 AM

Timofey Mozgov double-doubled on Sunday for the first time in over a month, notching 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting, 10 rebounds and one assist in a surprisingly close win vs. the visiting 76ers.

Philly's opponents are averaging 49.0 boards over their past 10 games, the most allowed by any team during that span, so it makes sense for Mozgov to have piled up boards tonight. He may have a bigger role if Kevin Love (back) can't play on Thursday, so anyone holding Mozgov should keep an eye on the injury report.
Mar 29 - 7:09 PM

Timofey Mozgov scored two points on 1-of-3 shooting with five rebounds and one block in 17 minutes on Friday against the Nets.

The Cavs came out flat and Mozgov has been underwhelming with very low-end value for 12-team leagues over the last two weeks. When you factor in the Cavs' league-worst schedule going forward, owners can make the cut with relatively low risk.
Mar 28 - 12:08 AM

Timofey Mozgov was quiet in his 22 minutes of action Sunday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting (2-of-2 from the stripe), to go with two rebounds, three assists, one steal and one turnover.

This game turned into a blowout, so Mozgov spent the fourth quarter on the bench, which explains the minimal line. His rebounding numbers and minutes have dipped during the month of March, as he's put in averages of 11.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game while shooting 61.0 percent from the field and 76.3 percent from the stripe through 24.3 minutes of action. He's still worth owning in all leagues for his highly efficient scoring, while offering some blocks and boards.
Mar 22 - 6:03 PM

Timofey Mozgov played 24 quiet minutes vs. Orlando, scoring eight points with three rebounds, one assist and zero defensive stats on Sunday.

He was coming off three consecutive double-digit scoring performances and his per-minute stats are solid, but Mozgov is only a late-round value while stuck in a 25-minutes role for coach David Blatt. Give him a look if you're targeting blocks (1.4) and FG percentages (59.1 percent) with a dose of scoring (10.4) and rebounds (5.2).
Mar 15 - 8:41 PM

Timofey Mozgov scored 17 points on 5-of-10 FGs and 7-of-8 FTs during the Cavs' easy win on Tuesday.

He added four rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks, and this marks Mozgov's highest playing time since early February. It helped that he was going up against an injury-plagued version of Tyson Chandler, and he'll be hard-pressed to duplicate tonight's line vs. the Spurs on Thursday.
Mar 10 - 11:50 PM

Timofey Mozgov was outstanding against the Suns on Saturday with 19 points, four rebounds and one assist.

He made 6-of-8 from the field and 7-of-8 from the line. The Suns started Earl Barron at center, so there's your explanation as to why Mozzy thrived. He was off to a slow start in the second half, averaging 9.0 points, 5.6 boards, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 steals in his previous games since the break. He'll likely be closer to those numbers going forward.
Mar 7 - 10:02 PM

Timofey Mozgov was benched for most of the second half and overtime on Sunday, finishing a loss to Houston with 10 points, four rebounds and one block.

He made 5-of-8 shots and was playing reasonably well, but Tristan Thompson (14 points, 19 rebounds) got hot and coach David Blatt rode him down the stretch. Mozzy is now averaging a mere 21.4 minutes over his past five games and the timeshare is a major concern for owners, though his excellent rebounds, blocks and FG percentages make him worth holding onto in standard leagues.
Mar 1 - 7:24 PM

Timofey Mozgov logged a double-double against the Warriors on Thursday, finishing with 10 points, 10 boards, two assists, one steal and one block in 25 minutes.

He has given the Cavaliers a huge presence in the paint since arriving from Denver and has helped them become a true contender in the Eastern Conference after their shaky start to the season. Mozgov is averaging 10.4 points, 7.4 boards and 1.8 blocks in just 24.8 minutes over his last five games and he should be a must-own player for the rest of the way.
Feb 26 - 11:40 PM

Timofey Mozgov neared his season-high with four blocks in just 20 minutes on Tuesday, adding 14 points and six rebounds in a 102-93 win vs. the Pistons.

Mozgov made 5-of-6 shots and 4-of-4 free throws, continuing his solid production since joining the Cavs in early January. Through 22 games with Cleveland, Mozzy is averaging 10.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 0.5 steals and 1.6 blocks, while shooting 58.0 percent from the field. His 65.5 percent FT shooting is offset by low turnovers in 9-cat leagues, resulting in solid top-100 value for the Cavs' starting center.
