Date:

Gary Neal (ankle) will not play against the Lakers on Wednesday.

He doesn't have a timetable to return and Neal could miss more games. Keep him on the wire. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Brown and Chase Budinger will help carry the bench -- Brown could start again tonight, though.
Mar 25 - 6:58 PM

Gary Neal (ankle) is being listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers.

If Neal is unable to go on Wednesday, expect Chase Budinger, Lorenzo Brown, and Sean Kilpatrick to get some extended run. Budinger has been playing very well lately, scoring in double figures in his last six outings while offering some assists, steals, and 3-pointers, and he's worth a look in standard leagues with the Wolves running with just seven healthy bodies in the rotation.

Gary Neal (ankle) will not play on Monday against Utah.

This was expected after he sprained his ankle on Sunday. Chase Budinger will likely see additional minutes without Neal available.

Mar 23 - 12:05 PM

Gary Neal sprained his left ankle on Sunday and he's not expected to travel with the Wolves for Monday's game in Utah.

Neal just returned from a four-game absence and it's possible that this latest issue will cost him some time on the shelf. Expect Chase Budinger to see an uptick in minutes off the bench for the shorthanded Wolves if Neal misses any additional action.
Mar 22 - 9:04 PM

Gary Neal (hand) is probable to play against the Hornets.

He has been out since last Sunday due to a hand injury and it sounds like he'll be back for the home game. The Wolves were so thin on Thursday that they signed Sean Kilpatrick while Lorenzo Brown also played 26 minutes. If Neal can go, he'll be worth a look in deeper leagues. If he's on the wire, you can probably keep him their with the Wolves being extra cautious with injuries.
Mar 21 - 6:16 PM

Gary Neal (hand) has been ruled out for Thursday's game vs. New York.

This will be Neal's fourth-straight game on the sidelines, and his absence will translate to more minutes for guys like Kevin Martin, Zach LaVine, and Chase Budinger. Budinger has scored in double figures in his previous three outings, so he's worth a look as a streamer option in deep leagues.

Gary Neal (hand) is being listed as questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Knicks.

Neal has missed the Timberwolves' past three games, and if he's again unable to go tonight, there will be more minutes for Kevin Martin and Zach LaVine. Stay tuned.
Mar 19 - 2:34 PM

Gary Neal (hand) will not play in Wednesday's game vs. the Raptors.

He was listed as doubtful so this shouldn't catch fantasy owners by surprise, and his absence means extra opportunities for Kevin Martin and Zach LaVine. Neal has had a few explosive scoring games for the Wolves but he belongs on the waiver wire until we see him producing.
Mar 18 - 7:00 PM

Gary Neal (hand) is doubtful to play vs. the Raptors on Wednesday.

The Wolves will likely be shorthanded vs. the Raptors, meaning Andrew Wiggins, Kevin Martin and Chase Budinger will have their hands full on the wings tonight. Neal doesn't really fit into Minnesota's plans moving forward, and he belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Gary Neal (hand) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.

If Neal can't go on Wednesday, Chase Budinger would likely pick up most of his reserve minutes. Budinger is coming off an 18-point outing, so he can be viewed as a low-end plug-and-play option on Wednesday if Neal is indeed unavailable. Stay tuned.
Mar 17 - 1:26 PM

Gary Neal (hand) will not play on Monday night against the Nets.

The Wolves are likely going to be down to eight players tonight, so there is some allure to using them in daily fantasy leagues. Neal can be dropped in most leagues.
Mar 16 - 6:54 PM

Gary Neal (hand) is questionable to play against the Nets on Monday.

Neal was a game-time call who wound up sitting out of Sunday's contest, but he's dealt with the injury since last week. Considering he's at less than full strength and is only worth playing when he's hot, owners shouldn't be chasing Neal at this point. Kevin Martin, Chase Budinger and Andrew Wiggins should all see a bump in time if Neal sits.
Mar 16 - 11:46 AM

Gary Neal (hand) will not suit up for the short-handed Wolves on Sunday.

He was a game-time decision and was hoping to play through pain vs. his former team, but the team's trainers may have thought better. Neal is capable of explosive scoring but he's averaging just 7.3 points over his past three games, and is a very risky fantasy option even when he's not nursing a hand injury. Kevin Martin and Chase Budinger should get all the minutes they can handle at SG.
Mar 15 - 6:37 PM

Ricky Rubio (ankle), Nikola Pekovic (ankle), Kevin Garnett (knee) and Gary Neal (hand) are all game-time decisions vs. the Spurs on Sunday.

The Wolves are already 12.5-point underdogs vs. the defending champions and they'll be in serious trouble if none of these guys can suit up, though Rubio is reportedly probable to suit up. We won't have to wait long for an update as the game tips off at 7pm ET.
