Gary Neal (sore right leg) picked up a DNP-CD on Thursday vs. the Nuggets.
He was available to play, but the Wizards likely held him out as a precaution. Neal did go through Saturday's shootaround, so he will be available to play vs. the Rockets. He is not a fantasy asset in most leagues, though. Jan 30 - 1:05 PM

Gary Neal (sore right leg) will be available to play Thursday vs. the Nuggets.

That means very little with Bradley Beal (broken nose, concussion) active. Neal is not a fantasy option in standard formats.
Jan 28 - 6:43 PM

Gary Neal (sore right leg) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game vs. Denver.

With Bradley Beal (broken nose, concussion) likely to play tonight, Neal won't be much of a factor at all in fantasy hoops. If he's out, Garrett Temple will likely soak up his minutes.
Jan 28 - 5:39 PM

Gary Neal scored 14 points off the bench on Tuesday vs. the Raptors, adding two boards in 22 minutes.

He didn't hit any of his four 3-point attempts, but the Wizards need him to step up with Bradley Beal sidelined with a concussion and a broken nose. However, Neal has been inconsistent all season and was held to single-digit points in his previous two games, so he's only a desperation play in deeper formats.
Jan 26 - 11:41 PM

Gary Neal (illness) played only six minutes off the bench on Wednesday, scoring three points with one rebound, one assist and one steal.

With Bradley Beal (leg) back in action for the Wizards, Neal's fantasy appeal goes from negligible to nil. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 13 - 11:05 PM

Gary Neal (illness) will be available to play vs. the Bucks on Wednesday.

Bradley Beal (leg) will also be available tonight, and Beal's return will render Neal irrelevant in most leagues.
Jan 13 - 6:23 PM

Gary Neal (illness) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's matchup with the Bucks.

With Bradley Beal (leg) on the cusp of his return (and potentially coming off the bench tonight), there's not much reason to own Neal in most leagues.
Jan 13 - 5:22 PM

Gary Neal (illness) missed Wednesday's shootaround and should be considered questionable to play vs. the Bucks.

He missed shootaround with flu-like symptoms, but it's unclear if he will be able to play. Bradley Beal (leg) could return to action on Wednesday anyways, so Neal's window for fantasy value has closed. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 13 - 11:59 AM

Gary Neal played 22 minutes off the bench against the Magic on Saturday with 16 points, one rebound, three assists, one block and two 3-pointers.

He hit a buzzer-beater at the end of the first half and looks like he's earned minutes in the low 20s until Bradley Beal (leg) can return. However, Beal has a chance to return within a week, so Neal's playing time will likely be fairly low by the end of this month. Unless you're using him as a streamer, he is probably someone to leave on the wire.
Jan 9 - 9:47 PM

Gary Neal (quad) returned from a five-game absence to finish Wednesday's tough loss with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, one 3-pointer, one rebound and one assist in 21 minutes.

Bradley Beal (leg) remains on the sidelines, but Garrett Temple is playing well as a starter and Kelly Oubre (10 minutes) has staked out a spot in the rotation, which further diminishes Neal's appeal. He'll sporadically set off some offensive fireworks but they'll vanish just as quickly.
Jan 6 - 11:31 PM

Gary Neal (quad) checked in for Wednesday against the Cavs.

He was a game-time call and he's out there tonight. Neal probably won't be playing much and it's worth mentioning Kelly Oubre came off the bench first.
Jan 6 - 7:30 PM

Gary Neal (quad) is a game-time call against the Cavs on Wednesday.

He is expected to play, but he'll have to go through warmups successfully first. The Wizards don't really need him with Kelly Oubre playing better now. Neal can be left on almost all wires.
Jan 6 - 5:22 PM

Gary Neal (right quad strain), Nene (calf) and Drew Gooden (calf) were all able to go through Wednesday's shootaround.

Nene is expected to play, while Neal and Gooden are up in the air. Of the trio, only Neal is worth a possible look on fantasy rosters for those desperate for 3-point help, but he's likely to be limited after coming off his most recent injury.
Jan 6 - 11:55 AM

Gary Neal (right quad strain) is now considered day-to-day, according to Randy Wittman.

It's not clear if that's truly an improvement for Neal given he was never considered out indefinitely, but at least he was able to make it through Tuesday's "light" practice. The veteran shooting guard hasn't played since December 23, but he could return as early as this week. When Neal is back, he'll eat into the minutes of Garrett Temple and Ramon Sessions with Bradley Beal (leg) still out.

Updating a previous item, Gary Neal (right quad strain) will not play on Sunday vs. the Heat.

He was listed as out, then questionable and then out, so the Wizards may want to get it together with their injury reports. With Bradley Beal (leg) still out, it's the Garrett Temple and Ramon Sessions show with Kelly Oubre Jr. also earning some extra time.
