Gary Neal (groin) will miss Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers.
Neal did not make the trip with the Wizards and will miss his second straight game on Tuesday. Ramon Sessions and Garrett Temple will both see an uptick in minutes, though neither is a must-add player in standard leagues. Dec 1 - 2:00 PM

Gary Neal (groin) was unable to practice on Monday.

Neal was a surprise scratch before Saturday's game vs. Toronto, but it's apparently not just a minor concern. Without Neal, Ramon Sessions and/or Garrett Temple will rotate in who picks up extra minutes.
Nov 30 - 1:15 PM

Gary Neal (groin) will not play against the Raptors on Saturday.

He must have suffered the injury in warmups or it was an aggravation. With Neal out, there should be more Garrett Temple, but it's not enough to use him in almost any league. Jared Dudley and Otto Porter's outlook slightly improves here, too.
Nov 28 - 6:53 PM

Gary Neal scored five points in 18 minutes against the Celtics on Friday with two rebounds and one turnover.

He had a terrific two-game run, but falling off seemed inevitable. Neal could have some value if John Wall or Bradley Beal need to miss time, though.
Nov 27 - 11:07 PM

Gary Neal stayed hot vs. the Hornets on Wednesday, scoring 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting with two 3-pointers, three rebounds, one assist and one steal.

He played 28 minutes and hardly missed a beat after dropping 23 points vs. the Pacers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Neal has yet to play 30 minutes in a game this season and he's not worth your attention in standard leagues while Bradley Beal (17 points in 38 minutes) is healthy.
Nov 25 - 9:40 PM

Gary Neal scored a season-high 23 points in 29 minutes off the Wizards' bench on Tuesday, finishing with three rebounds, a steal and five 3-pointers on 8-of-14 shooting.

This came out of nowhere and John Wall and Bradley Beal are healthy, meaning this was a fluke. Leave him on waivers for now. Neal's strong play limited Ramon Sessions to just 10 points, a 3-pointer and two steals on 4-of-5 shooting in 17 minutes. The two guards are going to split minutes off the bench for Washington, making both of them very hard to trust in fantasy.
Nov 24 - 9:50 PM

Gary Neal started in place of Bradley Beal (shoulder) and hit 6-of-15 shots and missed all four of his 3-pointers for 14 points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in Tuesday's loss to the Thunder.

The Wiz are off until Saturday so it's quite possible that Beal is back for that game. If he misses more time, Neal might worth a spot start in daily leagues, but for now, we're going to assume that Beal will be back in the starting five on Saturday.
Nov 10 - 9:52 PM

Gary Neal will start on Tuesday vs. the Thunder.

Bradley Beal (shoulder) is out, but it is currently unclear how much more time he will miss. Neal is a capable 3-point shooter and might flirt with 30 minutes tonight, so he is worth a look in deeper leagues. John Wall and Otto Porter will have to do more on offense, while Marcin Gortat should be more involved as well.
Nov 10 - 6:35 PM

Gary Neal scored eight points in 18 minutes against the Hawks on Saturday, adding one rebound, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

If Bradley Beal (shoulder) does miss time, it'll likely be Gary Neal stepping up. Excluding Beal, Neal's 45 minutes next to John Wall is by far the most among Wizards guards -- Ramon Sessions is No. 2 sitting at 24. Neal is a speculative add in 16-team leagues right now.
Nov 8 - 1:20 AM

Gary Neal has agreed to a one-year, $2.1 million deal with the Wizards.

Since his departure from San Antonio, things have not gone well for Neal at all. The Bucks and Hornets both dumped him after some reported issues, and he's also had some struggles at shooting the rock. He'll likely just be some Bradley Beal insurance and is unlikely to get more than 20 minutes off the bat. This deal is expected to be in the bi-annual exception, so it won't affect the cap number.
Jul 3 - 3:19 PM

Gary Neal has a "strong market" for a deal, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Shooting? Neal has made 38.1 percent from deep in his career, which converts to a 57.2 effective field goal percentage. Neal has been a bit of a headache to two of his last three teams, so he won't be too hot of a commodity.
Jul 1 - 5:45 AM

Gary Neal could be involved in a sign-and-trade deal this offseason.

Neal is a free agent, and although he won't be back with the Timberwolves, Minnesota could help jettison him to a new home.
Jun 29 - 12:45 PM

Gary Neal (ankle) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Thunder.

Getting traded to Minnesota ruined his fantasy value this season, and it's pretty obvious that he isn't a huge part of their plans moving forward. Chase Budinger is doubtful tonight while Kevin Martin is questionable, meaning Lorenzo Brown and Robbie Hummel could see a lot of action.
Apr 15 - 11:20 AM

Gary Neal (ankle) will not play on Monday vs. the Pelicans.

His last chance to play this season will be on Wednesday vs. the Thunder, but it doesn't look very likely at this point. Chase Budinger will continue to be the primary beneficiary off the bench for the Wolves and is worth owning in all leagues.
Apr 12 - 2:03 PM

Gary Neal (ankle) will not play on Saturday against the Warriors.

He is hopeful to play on Monday night, but there's a chance he's out for the season. Chase Budinger has been the sixth man and is worth owning in all standard leagues.
