Manny Harris' second 10-day contract expired on Wednesday.
Harris dropped 19 points on Tuesday and then was told he's not getting a season-long deal. Without Harris on Wednesday, the Lakers were down to eight healthy bodies and then watched Nick Young get hurt and two players foul out. Harris, now a free agent, is not eligible for another 10-day with the Lakers because he's already signed two this season. Feb 7 - 9:38 AM

Date:

Manny Harris hit 8-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for a season-high 19 points, eight rebounds and a steal in 21 minutes off the Lakers bench on Tuesday.

We reported earlier that the Lakers weren't expected to keep Harris after his 10-day contract expires tonight, but given how well he played, along with the fact that Jodie Meeks was lost to an ankle injury, things could change. He scored a total of four points in his previous two games and could be cut by Wednesday, so there's nothing to get excited about here.

Manny Harris is not expected to be kept on the Lakers after his 10-day deal expires on Tuesday.

The Lakers getting their trio of guards makes Harris a bit obsolete. He played well and even had an 18-point game back on Jan. 26 at Madison Square Garden. Harris will likely go back into the D-League and should be one of the better players down there. Some team could sign him at some point in the future.
Feb 3 - 5:41 PM

Manny Harris scored a season-high 18 points during Sunday's 110-103 loss at Madison Square Garden, adding two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in just 19 minutes.

He more than doubled his previous season high of seven and made the Lakers look good for signing him to a second 10-day deal today. The Lakers will have a decision on their hands after this 10-day contract runs up because they'll have to guarantee his third one for the rest of the season. Harris has some low-end value in deep leagues, but probably won't score in the teens many more times.
Jan 26 - 6:15 PM

The Lakers signed G Manny Harris to a second 10-day contract on Sunday.

Harris has averaged 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in five appearances with the Lakers, helping to fill the gaps with Xavier Henry, Jordan Farmar, Steve Blake, Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash all sidelined.

Jan 26 - 1:45 PM

Manny Harris shot 3-of-8 from the field on his 18 minutes of action on Sunday for seven points, two boards, two assists and one 3-pointer.

He still saw a nice chunk of minutes even with Nick Young back in the lineup. The Lakers had him as a ball-handler and he still really tried to push the tempo. Harris is a pure scorer and the team could keep him after his 10-day deal runs out on Jan. 26. He doesn't have much fantasy value.
Jan 19 - 3:41 PM

Manny Harris played 22 minutes in his season debut on Friday with seven points, three boards, one assist and one 3-pointer.

The Lakers got just what they needed tonight with some backcourt help. Harris was averaging 30.2 points per game in the D-League and provided a nice little boost in pace while he was out there for LA tonight. While it would be nice to see him build some fantasy value like he did a couple years ago, Nick Young will return on Sunday.
Jan 18 - 2:45 AM

Manny Harris is expected to play against the Celtics on Friday.

The Celtics get Rajon Rondo back tonight, but the Lakers will have Corperryale L'Adorable Harris in their rotation. Nick Young is suspended and Harris will be part of the solution to fill the void left by Young's 28.3 minutes per game. Harris has been fantastic in the D-League with 30.6 points per game in 13 outings and could be asked to score. He's played some point guard with the Cavs, but he's only an option in deep leagues.

Lakers sign G Manny Harris.

It's a 10-day contract. Harris has been lighting up scoreboards in the D-League and he'll give the Lakers some extra depth as they cope with injuries, as well as Nick Young's suspension on Friday.
Jan 16 - 5:57 PM

Manny Harris is expected to sign with the Lakers.

Harris had been playing with the D-Fenders of the D-League and will reportedly join the Lakers in Boston to finalize a contract. Harris is averaging 30.6 points per game in the D-League so he does bring some scoring prowess, but it will be a major surprise if he provides any fantasy value this season.

Manny Harris signed with BC Azovmash of the Ukrainian league, according to the team's website.

Just waived by a shallow Cavs squad, Harris will need to show significant improvement overseas to have a serious shot at returning to the NBA.

The Cavaliers have waived Manny Harris.

Harris started five games for the Cavs last season, and overall he averaged 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.5 minutes per game, while shooting 40.0 percent from the field. He may catch on elsewhere as a backup PG but he won't be a fantasy asset.

Manny Harris scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, two assists, and three steals in 25 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Harris gets his three-game week off to a nice start, and is well worth a look for the remaining slate. He can only go up from here as guys get rested.

Manny Harris will move back to a bench role for Monday's game against the Grizzlies.

Harris has been providing borderline numbers over the last week, and the Cavs' three-game schedule has made him worth fantasy consideration going forward.
Mon, Apr 23, 2012 08:03:00 PM

Manny Harris played a whopping 40 minutes on Friday night and finished with 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting with a career-high 12 rebounds, two assists and three 3s.

Harris has averaged 29 minutes, 14.7 points, 2.0 threes, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.3 steals, 0.7 blocks, and 2.7 turnovers while shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from the line. He is enjoying Alonzo Gee's absence, but on the whole he shouldn't have too much competition for minutes and Scott is trying to get a closer look at him.
