Nets sign G Donald Sloan.
No official terms on the deal just yet, but it's almost certainly a training camp type of deal. Considering the Nets have just Jarrett Jack, Shane Larkin and the undrafted Ryan Boatright on their point guard depth chart, Sloan actually has a good chance to stick. Of the interesting quartet, Jack is easily the one with the most fantasy appeal. As a starter last season, Jack averaged 15.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.2 steals (3.3 turnovers) on 45.8 percent shooting. Aug 10 - 12:57 PM

Unrestricted free agent Donald Sloan is in discussions with the Spurs, Bulls, and Mavericks, according to Shams Charania of Real GM.

Sloan would profile as a backup point guard on all three of those teams, but the Mavericks would likely give him the most opportunity to earn minutes. We'll keep an eye on Sloan's destination, but he's unlikely to provide much fantasy value in standard leagues.
Jul 9 - 12:39 PM

Donald Sloan said he would "love to come back to Indiana" next season.

"I would love to come back to Indiana," Sloan said. "I think me knowing the situation, me knowing the staff top to bottom and core players already and being familiar with everything. I would love to come back." Sloan will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and he may be able to secure a minimum-level deal with the Pacers. However, as long as George Hill is healthy, Sloan will be a negligible fantasy option in standard leagues.
Jun 21 - 5:07 PM

Donald Sloan contributed one rebound and two assists off Indy's bench on Tuesday, playing 10 minutes despite having a "very sore" toe.

Sloan missed both of his shot attempts and didn't get to the free throw line. He averaged a mere 0.8 points in 7.5 minutes per game in March so it's unclear how much his toe injury contributed to this dud, and he's a liability in all fantasy formats.
Apr 14 - 11:51 PM

Donald Sloan (toe) will try to play Tuesday vs. the Wizards.

Sloan has a "very sore" toe, but he'll try and give it a go tonight. However, he's averaging a meager 2.8 points and 2.0 assists per game over 13.9 minutes of action through the month of April, so it's safe to leave him on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Apr 14 - 6:42 PM

Donald Sloan (toe) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Wizards.

Sloan is still nursing a sore right big toe and is likely headed for a game-time decision on Tuesday. He's largely fallen out of the Pacers rotation when healthy, so he can be safely left on waivers in all fantasy leagues.
Apr 14 - 1:13 PM

Donald Sloan (toe) returned to action on Monday in a two-minute stint.

Now that the Pacers are at full strength more or less Sloan is irrelevant in fantasy leagues.
Mar 16 - 10:11 PM

Donald Sloan will not play on Saturday vs. the Celtics due to a sprained toe on his right foot.

Sloan hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation anyways, and he likely won't have any fantasy value unless George Hill or C.J. Watson suffers an injury. Leave Sloan on the wire and consider him day-to-day moving forward.
Mar 14 - 10:56 AM

Donald Sloan (illness) went scoreless in five minutes of action during Tuesday's win vs. Orlando.

Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Watson were both excellent with the second unit, so there was no reason to deploy Sloan until garbage time. He's not a fantasy asset in any league.
Mar 10 - 9:28 PM

Donald Sloan (illness) will play vs. the Magic on Tuesday.

He had a nice little run at the beginning of the season, but he has fallen out of the rotation now that George Hill and C.J. Watson are healthy. It's safe to leave Sloan on the wire in most leagues.
Mar 10 - 7:02 PM

Donald Sloan (food poisoning) is expected to play against the Magic on Tuesday, according to Pacers head coach Frank Vogel.

While Sloan helps provide the Pacers with backcourt depth, he has largely fallen out of Vogel's rotation and can safely be left on the wire in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.
Mar 10 - 11:44 AM

Donald Sloan (food poisoning) is questionable to play in Tuesday's game against the Magic.

Sloan hasn't received a blurb since January 24, and that should tell you all you need to know about his relevance in fantasy leagues right now.
Mar 9 - 1:25 PM

Donald Sloan scored two points with four rebounds and one assist in nine minutes off the bench on Friday.

Sloan is back to being irrelevant in fantasy leagues with George Hill back on the floor.
Jan 24 - 1:31 AM

Donald Sloan scored 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting with one rebound, six assists, one steal and one three in 24 minutes off the bench in Monday's lopsided loss.

Sloan enjoyed some garbage time and he hasn't been very consistent, providing just low-end value based on sporadic outbursts like this. With George Hill returning soon, there's enough not to like for owners in 12-14 team leagues to stay away.
Jan 19 - 10:42 PM

Donald Sloan was busy in his 20 minutes against the Warriors on Wednesday, making 6-of-11 from the field for 14 points with five rebounds, five assists, one steal.

That's good for a 50.0 assist percentage and a 31.8 usage rate. Rodney Stuckey (groin) wasn't ruled out until about an hour before, so he probably won't be missing much time. While Sloan has played well recently, coach Frank Vogel has bumped Sloan from the rotation before and could do it again. Plus, George Hill (groin) would also hurt him. Sloan can be left on the wire in most leagues.
