Chris Singleton started on Wednesday, but hit just 3-of-12 shots and a 3-pointer for eight points and five rebounds on Wednesday.
The minutes were there with both Martell Webster (abdomen) and Trevor Ariza (flu) out, but Singleton is only worth a close look if those two continue to miss games. Cartier Martin had 12 points and two threes off the bench, and is in the same boat. Mar 28 - 12:18 AM

Date:

Chris Singleton played 43 minutes against the Grizzlies on Monday, scoring 10 points with seven boards, three assists and two blocks.

He got the start with the Wizards becoming very shorthanded with Trevor Ariza (flu) and Martell Webster both out. Ariza shouldn't be out too much longer, so there's really no reason to pick up Singleton in most formats.
Mar 25 - 10:34 PM

Chris Singleton played 21 minutes in his return to the Wizards rotation, grabbing six rebounds with two assists and one steal.

The bad news is that he scored only four points on 1-of-10 shooting, a rather predictable stat for a career 37.8 percent shooter. He plays with great energy and is a valuable rebounder and defender, but his brutal offense prohibits fantasy value.
Mar 24 - 1:31 AM

Chris Singleton (personal) will be available for the Wizards on Monday.

Singleton missed Saturday's game due to a family matter, but he has rejoined the team and may actually crack the rotation if Trevor Ariza (knee) isn't able to suit up.
Mar 18 - 6:39 PM

Chris Singleton (personal) will not play against the Suns on Saturday.

He has a family matter and it's unclear how much time he could miss. Singleton didn't play in the previous two games and he isn't on the radar in even the deepest of leagues right now.
Mar 16 - 5:48 PM

Chris Singleton started over Kevin Seraphin against the Heat on Tuesday and had nine points, nine rebounds and a block on 2-of-7 shooting in 35 minutes of the unlikely win.

Singleton was presumably started for matchup reasons against the Heat and played well. Seraphin wasn't too shabby off the bench with 16 points, 10 rebounds and a block in 31 minutes, and is clearly still the power forward to own in Washington. But with small forward Trevor Ariza going down tonight with a calf injury, Singleton could still be in line for decent minutes going forward.

Chris Singleton could get the start at power forward on Tuesday against the Heat.

The move would be designed in order for the Wizards to better match up with the Heat, who are expected to start Rashard Lewis at power forward again in the place of Shane Battier (knee). Singleton made some noise when he put up 13 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks on November 24, but he hasn't scored in double-digits or eclipsed 24 minutes of playing time since.

Chris Singleton had his first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds, adding four steals in 33 minutes against the Bobcats on Saturday.

The Wizards had some interesting lineups tonight and Martell Webster also got some extra burn with 35 minutes that led to 21 points, four rebounds, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers. Randy Wittman is likely on thin ice, so just keep an eye on these guys.

Chris Singleton scored 12 of his season-high 14 points on Wednesday in the fourth quarter.

Singleton posted season-highs in rebounds (five), steals (three), minutes (25) and points, including a dunk to send the game to overtime. However, his minutes figure to be unreliable going forward -- he had only played a total of 17 minutes in Washington's previous two games.

Wizards exercise the third-year contract option on Chris Singleton.

Singleton isn't on the fantasy radar in standard formats, but the Wizards are hopeful he'll develop into a solid defender on the wing with Trevor Ariza currently playing ahead of him.

As expected, Chris Singleton (shoulder) played on Wednesday, but didn't score a point in eight minutes.

Singleton didn't even take a shot from the floor, totaling just one rebound while turning the ball over twice. He's going to have to show a lot more than we've seen from him to become relevant in fantasy leagues.

Chris Singleton (shoulder) said that he anticipates playing on Wednesday.

Singleton bruised his shoulder last week, but the injury clearly isn't serious if he's already ready to return. After playing 2-on-2 in Tuesday's practice, Singleton declared himself ready to roll. He's competing for minutes at small forward, and we'll need to see a lot more from him to consider him in standard leagues.

Chris Singleton will not play on Saturday due to a bruised right shoulder.

Singleton actually started 51 games last season, but he shot 36.3 percent from the field in those games and isn't a fantasy option. He now finds himself scrapping with Cartier Martin for minutes behind Trevor Ariza.

Chris Singleton missed Friday's practice after suffering a shoulder injury during Thursday's game.

The injury is being called a 'sore shoulder' for now and it doesn't seem overly serious. If Singleton can stay healthy, he has a shot at some early season minutes if Nene (plantar fasciitis) and Trevor Booker (hamstring) continue to be sidelined. And if injury prone center Emeka Okafor (flu) breaks down, then the Wizards could be forced to rely on Singleton, who struggled in his rookie year.

Chris Singleton ranked 56th out of 63 qualifying small forwards in player effeciency rating this season.

It's a fancy way of saying that Singleton was staunchly unimpressive as a rookie. The No. 18 overall pick started 51 of 66 games, but averaged just 4.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists. We'll have to see progress out of him before getting behind him if he starts again next season.
