Jimmer Fredette officially signed with the Spurs on Thursday.
Fredette owns career-averages of 6.1 points on 41.2 percent shooting from the field. He may be someone to consider in daily leagues on the days the Spurs rest their starting lineup, but there's no reason to draft him in any league. Jul 23 - 2:44 PM

Jimmer Fredette is finalizing a deal to be with the Spurs for training camp.

The deal is expected to include some guaranteed money. The Spurs lost some of their backcourt depth with Cory Joseph headed to Toronto and Marco Belinelli in Sacramento, so Jimmer could make the team.

Jimmer Fredette is considering playing for Olimpia Milano next season, sources told Sportando.

The team made an offer to Fredette, who could very well use some time abroad to rebuild his stock stateside. It's also possible that Fredette never returns to the NBA if he goes overseas, so he's got to weigh his options carefully. Regardless, the Jimmer is not a fantasy option whether he's playing in the United States, Italy or on Mars.

Jimmer Fredette, who is an unrestricted free agent, admitted that he's still searching for the right fit in the NBA.

"You try to find the right fit and the right team with the right system and the right coach at the right time. If you get an opportunity, you’ve got to try to take advantage of it," he said. Fredette said he's talking to "several teams," and he's going to figure out his next move at some point in July. Despite his status as a veteran, Jimmer may need to play in summer league for a team to give him a legitimate chance.

Pelicans beat writer John Reid suggests there is a "slim possibility" that New Orleans will pursue Jimmer Fredette in free agency.

"Fredette didn't improve his value in a reduced role this season," Reid writes. The fourth-year guard averaged a mere 3.6 points on 38.0 percent shooting in 2014-15 and he didn't play a single minute in the playoffs. He's a dubious fantasy option no matter where he lands this summer.

Jimmer Fredette returned to the rotation during Tuesday's game vs. the Nets, scoring four points with three assists, three boards and one steal in 15 minutes.

Fredette had picked up four straight DNPs prior to tonight's game, but Tyreke Evan's ankle injury opened up some playing time. It's pretty clear that Fredette isn't going to be a big part of the rotation moving forward, making it safe to leave him on the wire in most leagues. Yes, we miss his glory days at BYU too.
Mar 10 - 10:47 PM

Jimmer Fredette played 12 minutes against the Celtics on Monday with five points, two assists and one steal.

He could become the backup point guard with Jrue Holiday (leg) going down tonight. Fredette certainly won't be playing big minutes and only needs to be monitored in very deep leagues.
Jan 12 - 11:09 PM

Jimmer Fredette hit 5-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for a season-high 14 points, three rebounds and zero assists on Wednesday.

Jrue Holiday fouled out in regulation and Tyreke Evans was struggling with his shot, which both helped Fredette's cause tonight. Fredette has been invisible for most of the year, but has actually played well in two straight games. Put him on your radar if you're in a league with more than 12 teams.

Jimmer Fredette returned to the Pelicans rotation on Tuesday, coming off the bench for nine points, one rebound and four assists in 21 minutes.

He made 3-of-7 shots and missed both of his 3-point attempts, but played well enough to keep a spot in the rotation with John Salmons (personal) expected to miss Wednesday's game in San Antonio. Deep-league owners should keep an eye on him, but that's the extent of his fantasy appeal.

Jimmer Fredette played for the first time in four games on Saturday, going scoreless with one rebound, one assist and one steal in eight minutes.

He returned to the bench rotation after Eric Gordon separated his shoulder, which moved Austin Rivers into the starting SG spot. Gordon is likely to miss significant time and Rivers is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues, but we'll need to see more from Fredette to put him on the radar.

Jimmer Fredette is looking to bounce back after he missed all six of his shots in his Pelicans debut.

'It’s always tough when you don’t shoot the ball well,'' Fredette said. ''But when you play long enough, it’s going to happen at some point. You never like it as a shooter. But the good thing about it is that I got good shots." The Jimmer is not a fantasy option in any format.

Jimmer Fredette scored two points in 18 minutes during Tuesday's victory, missing all six of his field goals with zero rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Fredette shared the court with Austin Rivers, a pairing which may not last long if Jimmer can't succeed in a SG role since coach Monty Williams has been understandably hesitant to use him as a ball-handler. There's no reliable fantasy value to be found in Jimmer.

Pelicans coach Monty Williams wants Jimmer Fredette to focus on scoring with the second unit, with Tyreke Evans or Austin Rivers handling the ball.

"You are trying to take advantage of Jimmer’s ability to score," Williams said. "When he plays point, they pressure him full court, so you’re getting into your offense later than you want to." He doesn't seem particularly keen on Rivers as a ball-handler either, so Tyreke Evans may serve double-duty as a starting PF and backup PG.

Jimmer Fredette hit 5-of-8 shots and three more 3-pointers for 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 19 minutes off the Pelicans bench.

He did most of his damage late in the game, but has now scored between 10 and 17 points in each of his four preseason games, and has hit 10 3-pointers along the way. It remains to be seen how relevant he'll be for the Pelicans once the games start counting, but so far, so good.

Jimmer Fredette hit 5-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for 13 points, two rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.

He was 6-of-9 with three 3-pointers and 17 points on Saturday, and while we're not ready to tell you to draft him, it does appear he has new life in New Orleans. Keep a close eye him going forward, and keep in mind that Tyreke Evans is out with a hamstring injury.
