Jimmer Fredette has agreed to return to the Shanghai Sharks of China on a one-year deal worth roughly $1.8 million.
That's more than he could make in the NBA, and he actually gets to play in China, so the move makes sense. Maybe he'll be able to earn a 10-day deal with an NBA club once his season in China is over. Jul 23 - 6:43 PM

Jimmer Fredette worked out with the Nuggets on Thursday.

Fredette is coming off a dominant season in China where he averaged over 37 points per game, but he turned down multiple 10-day contract offers from NBA teams when he returned to the states so he could spend time with his wife and newborn child. Fredette can shoot the lights out, but he's struggled to translate it to the NBA level. He played for the Nuggets at Summer League in 2016, so maybe he will do the same this year.

Jimmer Fredette was offered a 10-day contract from multiple NBA teams when he returned home from China, but declined in order to stay home with his wife and newborn child.

Fredette was dominant in China, averaging over 37 points per game and winning the CBA's MVP award. He can still sign with an NBA team and would be eligible to play in the postseason, but that appears unlikely. Fredette has not decided if he will attempt to play stateside next season or head back to China.

Jimmer Fredette has reportedly been engaging with NBA teams with the hopes of signing a contract once his season in China is over.

Fredette earned MVP honors in China this season while averaging 37 points a game, so there's a chance he'll be able to find a 10-day contract somewhere once his CBA season is over. However, with career averages of just 6.0 points and not much else on 41.2 percent shooting, there's no reason to get hyped up about Fredette's potential return to the NBA.

Jimmer Fredette, who is leading the Chinese Basketball Association in scoring this season at 37 points per game, is considering a return to the NBA.

Fredette is not only leading the league in scoring, he has also carried his team, the Shanghai Sharks, to the top of the league. Still, Fredette would like another crack at the NBA. Instead of being the star many believed he could be coming out of BYU, Jimmer feels he is more suited to excel as a sixth man, or as he explains "an energy-type guy who can come off the bench and score the basketball."

Jimmer Fredette has signed a deal with the Shanghai Sharks of China, according to David Pick.

The Jimmer faced long odds to make an NBA roster and will now try to build his value overseas. While Fredette could join an NBA team after the Chinese season is over, his fantasy value is essentially non-existent at this point.

Jimmer Fredette will play in Las Vegas Summer League with the Nuggets.

Fredette is hoping to earn a job with the Nuggets in Vegas, but is also reportedly open to playing overseas if that doesn't come to fruition. The Jimmer faces an uphill battle to land on an NBA roster and won't have much fantasy value in 2016-17 even if he's able to overcome those odds.

Jimmer Fredette scored 26 points with two rebounds, three assists, two steals and four 3-pointers on Saturday.

He loves Summer League, but Jimmer Time has likely expired in the big leagues. Fredette might get a camp invite.

Jimmer Fredette is expected to play for the Nuggets' Summer League team.

Fredette hasn't found his footing in the NBA and in March he signed with the D-League's Westchester Knicks. Perimeter shooting is always in demand and there's a chance he'll earn a guaranteed deal this year, in Denver or elsewhere, but for now Fredette is barely on the fantasy map.

Jimmer Fredette is back in the D-League with the Westchester Knicks.

He played a total of five minutes with the Knicks, so it's not a surprise that he didn't earn a second 10-day contract.

Jimmer Fredette is not expected to earn a second 10-day contract with the Knicks, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post.

At no point during Fredette's five-year career has he ever been a reliable option in standard fantasy leagues, so there's no reason to own him in any setting.

Jimmer Fredette's shaky defense is limiting his playing time, according Knicks interim head coach Kurt Rambis.

Rambis hasn't exactly embraced Fredette's call-up from the D-League and didn't play Jimmer in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers. "So looking at different guys and what they were doing defensively, some parts [Fredette] got pushed around a little bit," Rambis said. "Guys were active defensively as a result of the defense. So right now it’s probably still going to be the same rotation as it was before.’’ Needless to say, Fredette can be left on waivers in all fantasy leagues.

Coach Kurt Rambis said Jimmer Fredette hasn't made it into the rotation yet.

Jimmer Time won't play tonight unless there is garbage time. Fredette made his only attempt from the field and it was a 3-pointer on Monday, so he has a perfect efficiency as a Knick.

Knicks interim head coach Kurt Rambis said Jimmer Fredette won't see regular minutes for the Knicks.

This doesn't come as a big surprise as Jimmer is only on a 10-day contract with the Knicks, but Rambis isn't committed to finding minutes for Fredette. "He’s not going to displace someone who’s played all year and has worked hard in practice,’’ Rambis said. "He’s got to be keyed in to where everyone’s supposed to be. I’m not sure he’s there yet.’’ The Jimmer is worth monitoring in case the Knicks fall even further out of playoff contention, but he can be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues right now.

Jimmer Fredette made his one shot attempt for three points with one turnover in two minutes against the Raptors in his Knicks debut on Monday.

He has the best effective field goal percentage in Knicks history right now at 150.0. Kidding aside, Fredette only came in for garbage time. He might get run soon, but he can be kept on the wire in almost every league.
