DeAndre Liggins was scoreless across 26 minutes in a start Saturday in Houston.
Liggins was a dismal 0-of-4 from the field, including 0-of-2 from the perimeter, and he ended up with four rebounds, two assists, a blocked shot and a turnover with a minus-10 rating. He failed miserably in his opportunity with Rajon Rondo (wrist) on the mend. The Pelicans have three games on tap in the upcoming week and even if Liggins were to start all three, his fantasy appeal is still very minimal. Mar 24 - 10:58 PM

Date:

DeAndre Liggins scored three points on 1-of-4 shooting Saturday, to go with one 3-pointer, three rebounds, one steal, one block and one turnover through 20 minutes as a starter.

Liggins spent most of his energy chasing around James Harden, and he did do a nice job of making Harden work for everything, but all that is irrelevant in fantasy hoops. Rajon Rondo (rest) will be back on Monday, which will shift Liggins back to the second unit. Leave him on the wire.
Mar 17 - 9:47 PM

DeAndre Liggins will start for Rajon Rondo (rest) against he Rockets on Saturday.

He's played just 18 minutes per game in his two starts with a grand total of zero points. Ian Clark is the guy you want in DFS or as a pickup in deeper leagues.
Mar 17 - 6:53 PM

DeAndre Liggins (hip) scored three points with four assists in 14 minutes of action on Wednesday.

Liggins exited late during Monday's game with a hip injury but it was never a real concern. His recent experiment as a starter lasted all of one game, and he's persona non grata in fantasy leagues while Jrue Holiday and Rajon Rondo are active -- he benefited a bit from Rondo being ejected early tonight, but it was Ian Clark who started the second half.
Feb 15 - 12:23 AM

DeAndre Liggins (hip) is questionable to return to Monday's game vs. Detroit.

He only played three minutes in his last game and was at six minutes when he left this one, so there aren't any fantasy implications here. He did return from the locker room to the bench, so we'll see if he comes back in.
Feb 12 - 8:20 PM

DeAndre Liggins moved back to bench with one turnover in three minutes on Saturday.

He'll probably be completely out of the rotation the next time out.
Feb 10 - 9:57 PM

DeAndre Liggins will move back to the bench on Saturday.

He's probably going to stay there after his start on Wednesday night. Liggins is not a lock for the rotation tonight.
Feb 10 - 5:12 PM

DeAndre Liggins did not score in a start against the 76ers on Fridays adding five rebounds, one assist and two steals in 19 minutes.

Yeah, this lineup probably won't last long. It makes sense to start a defense-first player next to the other four starters, but doesn't Darius Miller make more sense? Either way, you're not adding Liggins in almost any league.
Feb 9 - 9:17 PM

DeAndre Liggins will move to the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Pacers.

This is a very interesting move with coach Alvin Gentry talking a lot about developing a rhythm. Liggins is only going to be out there for defense and he'll only be taking open shots. He's not much of a fantasy add.
Feb 7 - 6:22 PM

DeAndre Liggins and the Pelicans have agreed on a two-year deal.

Terms of the contract aren't known, but there's almost certainly little to no guarantee for 2018-19. Liggins' second 10-day contract expired recently and New Orleans was likely seeking a defensive presence to replace Tony Allen (traded to Bulls), so Liggins fits the bill. He's not a fantasy asset.
Feb 4 - 6:09 PM

DeAndre Liggins has signed another 10-day deal with the Pelicans.

He has only played in one game so far with four points, one rebound and one assist in 11 minutes. You should stop playing fantasy basketball if he's on your roster.

Jan 21 - 9:49 AM

DeAndre Liggins made his Pelicans' debut on Wednesday, coming off the bench to score four points with one rebound and one assist in 11 minutes.

The Pelicans just signed Liggins to a 10-day contract via a hardship exception, and they didn't waste any time deploying him with Anthony Davis (ankle) unavailable. He averaged just 1.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 18 appearances for the Bucks this season, and his outlook isn't much brighter in New Orleans.
Jan 11 - 12:54 AM

DeAndre Liggins will sign a 10-day deal with the Pelicans.

The defensive specialist was waived by the Bucks a few days ago, but he's not expected to play meaningful minutes in New Orleans. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 9 - 8:40 PM

Bucks waive G DeAndre Liggins.

He gave the Bucks some solid defense at time with 31 games in the lineup. Liggins will probably wind up on a 10-day deal in the near future.
Jan 6 - 9:24 PM

DeAndre Liggins shifted to the Bucks' bench on Tuesday, where he went scoreless in 16 minutes.

Liggins had one rebound, one assist and one block, but his brief run as a starter ended with the Bucks getting Matthew Dellavedova and Tony Snell back from injuries tonight. He belongs on the wire.
