Lucas Nogueira (calf) played 21 minutes off the bench on Sunday, finishing with four points, four rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
Nogueira got an extended look as a backup, while second-year center Jakob Poeltl only played seven minutes. Their roles could be reversed in the next preseason game, as coach Dwane Casey looks for the right combinations, so don't read much into this. Oct 2 - 1:15 AM

Lucas Nogueira has been limited by a calf ailment, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN.

This obviously isn't ideal with training camp just a week away. Nogueira had some really nice moments in Toronto last season, but eventually fell out of the rotation when the Raptors acquired Serge Ibaka. He will compete with Jakob Poeltl for the backup job behind Jonas Valanciunas, so he's off the standard-league radar unless he can move up the depth chart.

Lucas Nogueira did not score with one rebound and one block in 11 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

The arrival of Serge Ibaka takes away basically all of the power forward chances and even some center minutes for Bebe for the rest of the season. Nogueira is an obvious cut candidate.
Feb 24 - 11:30 PM

Lucas Nogueira blocked three shots with four rebounds off the bench on Wednesday, but he didn't attempt a single field goal or free throw in 16 minutes.

Nogueira's blocks are consistent, but the bad news is that Serge Ibaka will debut after the break, giving the Raptors the starting-caliber PF they desperately need. He'll have a major role in the frontcourt and his arrival spells trouble for guys like Nogueira, Patrick Patterson, Jared Sullinger and Jakob Poeltl.
Feb 15 - 11:24 PM

Lucas Nogueira played 25 minutes on Tuesday, scoring seven points with three rebounds, one steal and four turnovers.

Patrick Patterson (knee) should be back after the break and the Raptors acquired Serge Ibaka for Terrence Ross in a trade, so Bebe's minutes will more than likely take a sizable hit. Ibaka could debut on Wednesday, so let's see what happens in that one before you make any roster moves.
Feb 14 - 11:38 PM

Lucas Nogueira played 26 minutes off the bench on Monday and hit 3-of-6 shots for eight points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals.

He saw some extra minutes with Patrick Patterson out with a knee injury and had a decent stat line. But if you use Nogueira, blocks are what you're seeking and he didn't have one tonight. He's averaging 7.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.6 blocks over his last five games, and will continue to be an intriguing fantasy option going forward, especially if Patterson continues to miss games.
Feb 6 - 10:50 PM

Lucas Nogueira scored eight points on 4-of-6 shooting in 22 minutes off the bench on Sunday, to go with five boards, two steals, one blocks and one turnover.

Over the past month, Nogueira has seen his minutes rise to 24.7 a night, and with Patrick Patterson (knee) looking at another lengthy absence, his minutes should hold steady there. He’s ranked in the top-5 in effective field goal percentage since the calendar turned to 2017, and in 9-cat leagues, he’s been a top-65 guy over the past month thanks to his elite 1.9 swats a night.
Feb 5 - 2:31 PM

Lucas Nogueira started the second half against the Magic on Friday, finishing with four points, seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 25 minutes.

With Pat Patterson (knee) going down with the same injury that has bothered him for most of 2017, there should be more minutes going to Bebe. He should be getting some starts going forward, especially when it's against a bigger team like the Magic. In his previous starts, he averaged 7.2 points, 5.7 boards and 1.7 blocks. He probably should've been owned anyway, but now he's an even stronger asset.
Feb 3 - 9:46 PM

Lucas Nogueira played 22 minutes and hit 3-of-4 shots for seven points, eight rebounds, a steal and two blocks in Tuesday's 108-106 OT win over the Pelicans.

He played good defense on Anthony Davis and helped smother the talented big man, who hit just 4-of-18 shots tonight. Bebe sure is intriguing, but played just 12 minutes on Sunday and is averaging just 6.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.2 blocks over this last five. If those numbers do it for you, feel free to pick him up. But as long as Patrick Patterson and Jonas Valanciunas are healthy, it's going to be tough for Bebe to become consistent enough to make him a must-own across the fantasy landscape.
Jan 31 - 10:38 PM

Lucas Nogueira blocked five shots in Friday's win over the Bucks with nine points, five rebounds and one steal in 24 minutes.

Jared Sullinger was a DNP-CD, so Bebe split the center minutes with Jonas Valanciunas down the middle. He matched his career high with the five blocks and shot 4-of-7 from the field, and considering the Raptors snapped a five-game losing streak tonight, he should be heavily involved again vs. the Magic on Sunday. Nogueira has played 24+ minutes in four straight games and is trending up in a hurry.
Jan 27 - 11:53 PM

Lucas Nogueira came off the bench on Tuesday vs. the Spurs, but still played 26 minutes and scored six points with 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks.

He finished 3-of-6 from the field with zero turnovers. Bebe has intriguing upside and he clearly outplayed Jared Sullinger (zero points in 12 minutes) tonight. His role will be volatile going forward which makes him hard to trust, but he could get a bump if Patrick Patterson is rested in Memphis on Wednesday for the second night of a back-to-back set. If you don't mind a couple headaches, Bebe is worth owning for his ability to rack up defensive stats.
Jan 24 - 9:59 PM

Lucas Nogueira will return to the bench for Tuesday's game against the Spurs, with Jared Sullinger drawing the start.

Patrick Patterson (knee) is also returning to action tonight, so it'll be very interesting to see what Bebe's minutes look like in a reserve role. He was playing some of the best ball of his career while Patterson was out, so it makes sense to hold onto him tonight to see what his minutes look like before thinking about making a premature cut.
Jan 24 - 6:39 PM

Lucas Nogueira looked great in his return from a concussion on Sunday, posting 13 points, five boards, one assist, one steals and two blocks in 35 minutes.

Nogueira returned to the starting lineup tonight, displacing fill-in starter Norman Powell. He proceeded to make 5-of-5 shots with a 3-pointer, with all of his shot attempts coming in the first quarter -- Toronto probably should have looked his way a bit more tonight. He's worth a look for boards and strong FG percentages, but keep in mind that Patrick Patterson (knee) was out tonight and Jared Sullinger is still getting up to speed after foot surgery.
Jan 22 - 9:02 PM

Lucas Nogueira (concussion) is starting Sunday's game vs. Phoenix, with Norman Powell shifting to the bench.

He wound up missing two games with the concussion but should still see solid minutes as a starter tonight, so owners can expect his typical boards, blocks and strong FG percentages.
Jan 22 - 5:54 PM

Lucas Nogueira (concussion) will play Sunday vs. the Suns.

Nogueira will be returning from a two-game stint on the sidelines, and his return to action will likely cut into Norman Powell's minutes. It's unclear if Nogueira will immediately be re-inserted back into the starting five, but it'll be interesting to see what his minutes look like tonight with Jared Sullinger working his way back into game shape. Still, Nogueira only needs roughly 20 minutes to put up some elite block totals, so give him a look if you're seeking a boost in the shot blocking category.
