Lucas Nogueira posted five points with four rebounds, two assists and three blocked shots over 18 minutes in Friday's win at Milwaukee.
Nogueira was limited to 18 minutes in what turned into a lopsided game in the second half. He went 2-of-2 from the field and 1-of-1 from the free-throw line, and he did not turn the ball over. The big man might have earned himself even more time with the game out of hand and Jonas Valanciunas rested down the stretch, but four personal fouls in just 18 minutes halted those plans. Lucas Nogueira (calf) returned to action on Wednesday vs. the Thunder, scoring two points with one assist and two steals in four minutes.

This was his first taste of action since Nov. 29, so the Raptors are going to ease him back into the rotation. Once he has his legs back under him, Nogueira may split the backup center minutes with Jakob Poeltl.

Coach Dwane Casey said Lucas Nogueira (calf) is available to play Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Nogueira has been sidelined since the end of November but has finally been cleared to return. He'll split time with Jakob Poeltl backing up Jonas Valanciunas. On the season, Nogueira is averaging 3.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 12.0 minutes.

Lucas Nogueira (calf) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Mavs.

Nogueira has yet to play in December, but has been making progress and was upgraded to questionable late last week. Once active, Bebe will split minutes with Jakob Poeltl backing up Jonas Valanaciunas.

Lucas Nogueira (calf) will not play against the 76ers on Saturday.

It was a little odd he was upgraded to questionable, but it's still a good sign that he could be back this month. With Nogueira out, Jakob Poeltl should be taking up most of the backup center minutes while Serge Ibaka and Jonas Valanaciunas have slightly longer leashes.

Updating a previous item, Lucas Nogueira (calf) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Sixers.

It was initially reported that Nogueira had been ruled out, but it now appears he has at least a chance to return to the lineup on Saturday. However, even when fully healthy, Bebe saw only limited minutes off the Raptors bench. He should be left on waivers.

Lucas Nogueira (calf) will not play Saturday vs. the Sixers.

Nogueira has yet to appear in a game this month, with his last appearance coming on November 29th. Jonas Valanciunas and Jakob Poeltl will continue to divvy up minutes at center.

Lucas Nogueira (calf) will not play on Thursday vs. the 76ers.

We keep hearing that he's getting closer a return, but the Raptors continue to list him as out. His next chance to play will on Saturday in a rematch vs. Philly. Jonas Valanciunas and Jakob Poeltl will continue to hold down the fort at center.

Lucas Nogueira (calf) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

He's reportedly getting close to a return, so perhaps he'll be able to get back out there for Thursday's game in Philly or Saturday's rematch with the 76ers. With him out, Jonas Valanciunas and Jakob Poeltl will continue to split the five-man minutes.

Lucas Nogueira (calf) is listed as out for Friday's game vs. Brooklyn but is making progress and could return Sunday vs. Sacramento.

Coach Dwane Casey said "we’ll see" when reporters asked him about this weekend. Nogueira was averaging 3.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in 12.0 over the 17 games he played this season prior to the injury. Once he is back healthy, he'll split time with Jakob Poeltl backing up Jonas Valanciunas.

Lucas Nogueira sustained a muscle tear in his right calf, and he was treated with a platelet-rich plasma injection (PRP) to enhance the healing process.

He will not play on Friday and he is out indefinitely. This is the second calf injury for Bebe since the preseason, and now he's likely out for multiple weeks to recover. He was starting to play well, but now it'll be Jakob Poeltl getting all the backup minutes at center. Plus, Pascal Siakam could benefit with more Serge Ibaka at the five as well. Poeltl is worth a look if you're in search of a big man.

Lucas Nogueira will undergo an MRI on his strained right calf on Thursday evening.

The oft-injured forward suffered the injury on Wednesday and didn't return, but we'll have a better idea about the severity following the MRI. If Bebe misses time, Jonas Valanciunas, Jakob Poeltl and even Pascal Siakam could pick up more run.

Lucas Nogueira suffered a strained right calf on Wednesday and will not return.

He removed himself from this game and went to the locker room under his own power. We'll know more about the severity after the game, but it's worth a mention Bebe had a calf problem in the preseason. If he's out, Jakob Poeltl should see consistent minutes around 20, which gives him value in deeper leagues.

Lucas Nogueira went to the locker room on Wednesday.

He took himself out of the game with a limp as he made it back to the locker room. There have been a lot of locker room visits tonight, and hopefully Nogueira is OK. If he's out, Jakob Poeltl would get all of the backup minutes.

Lucas Nogueira blocked three shots with six points, four rebounds and two steals in 17 minutes vs. the Knicks on Friday.

Coach Dwane Casey mentioned the possibility of using Bebe at the four tonight with Serge Ibaka (knee) out, but it never happened. Instead, the Raptors used a three-man center rotation with Jonas Valanciunas (four points, five rebounds) playing 19 minutes and Jakob Poeltl (eight points, two blocks) playing 12 minutes. We love Nogueira's upside, but the frontcourt rotation is too crowded.
