Darius Morris has signed a non-guaranteed contract to join the Portland Trailblazers training camp.

Morris was reportedly close to signing with Crvena Zvezda of the Euroleague, but will now get a shot to earn a spot with the Blazers. He has been bouncing around the NBA on various 10 day contracts and stints with the D-League and will likely take his talents overseas if he cannot latch on to an NBA team.

Crvena Zvezda of the Euroleague is reportedly in talks to sign Darius Morris.

The deal is reportedly close to happening and would be for $450,000 next season. The 23-year-old has played with the Lakers, Clippers, 76ers, and Grizzlies over three NBA seasons and would hope to use his time in Serbia as a springboard towards a return to the NBA.

Darius Morris has been acquired by the Rio Grande Valley of the D-League.

Morris had been playing with the Memphis Grizzlies as recently as February, but failed to hook on with the team for a second 10-day contract once Mike Conley returned to action. Morris wasn't much of a fantasy option when he was with the Grizzlies, so it goes without saying that his fantasy value is non-existent outside of D-League fantasy leagues.

Grizzlies sign PG Darius Morris.

Morris will be playing on a 10-day contract, providing some depth at PG behind Nick Calathes until Mike Conley (ankle) is ready to return. He's not worth fantasy owners' attention outside of the deepest leagues.
Feb 3 - 12:21 PM

Darius Morris will be signed to a second 10-day deal on Thursday.

He signed his first 10-day deal on the first day NBA teams can offer that type of deal and he'll get another look. Morris played just six minutes on Wednesday, so he might not last beyond the second 10-day. NBA teams would need to offer a guaranteed deal after two 10-day contracts.
Jan 16 - 3:11 AM

The Clippers sign G Darius Morris.

Teams can sign players to 10-day deals starting today and LA didn't waste any time. The Clippers have been using Darren Collison and Jamal Crawford at point guard with nobody behind them, so Morris will provide some emergency depth.
Jan 6 - 8:47 PM

The Grizzlies will work out free agent Gs Darius Morris, Reggie Williams, Seth Curry and Kendall Marshall this week.

A few more D-League players may also join the workouts. Memphis is eager to add guards after Tony Allen's hip injury shifted Jerryd Bayless to the SG spot and exposed their lack of depth. No matter which player or players are signed, they're doubtful to have fantasy value.

Darius Morris was waived by the Sixers on Wednesday.

He was nice Tony Wroten insurance and got some run in the last five games, averaging 9.4 points, 2.6 assists and 1.4 triples in 18 minutes over that span. Wroten has been very impressive and this move basically secures his spot in the rotation for Philly.

Darius Morris played 11 minutes off the bench on Monday, scoring three points with two rebounds and one assist.

Morris hit 1-of-5 shots and if you were in a very deep league speculating that he might join the party, this should be a reminder that his role is still too tenuous to count on.

Darius Morris hit 6-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers off the Sixers bench for a season-high 20 points in 27 minutes of Saturday's ugly loss.

Believe it or not, that's not even a career high for Morris, who has quietly scored in double digits for the Sixers in three of their last five games, hitting nine 3-pointers in that stretch. He's seeing more run with Michael Carter-Williams out of action, but still isn't fantasy-worthy yet.

Free agent guard Darius Morris is expected to sign a partially guaranteed contract with Philadelphia, make the final roster and play meaningful backcourt minutes for the depleted Sixers.

Morris chose the Sixers over the Lakers for a chance at a bigger role this season, meaning it won't be hard to build on his averages of four points and 1.6 assists last season in L.A. He might be worth a look in extremely deep fantasy leagues, but will still struggle to have value in standard 12-team leagues, unless he somehow ends up in the starting lineup for the guard-depleted Sixers. He'll likely battle James Anderson for the right to back up Evan Turner, who we have penciled in as the starting shooting guard in Philly.

The Lakers will not extend a qualifying offer to Darius Morris, Andrew Goudelock or Devin Ebanks.

All three players will be unrestricted free agents as a result. None come as a surprise considering how rarely they played, and the Lakers will have to shop in the bargain bin to fill out their bench. Chris Duhon is also not expected back with the team.

Darius Morris scored 24 points with two boards, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer on 9-of-15 shooting in 37 minutes of action in a 120-89 loss to the Spurs on Friday.

Morris played just 14.2 minutes per game in 48 contests for the Lakers this year, but desperate times called for desperate measures. He shot the ball extremely well tonight, which was surprising based on his season shooting of 38.8 percent from the field. The Lakers suffered the worst home loss in their history and it's safe to say they're toast in this series. Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks could all miss Sunday's game and Morris could get another featured look at point guard.

It is "likely" that Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock will start a must-win Game 3 vs. the Spurs on Friday with all of the team's backcourt injuries.

The Lakers are down 0-2 in the series, and it appears they'll go to battle with their two second-round draft picks from 2011 as the starting backcourt. Neither Morris nor Goudelock is an NBA point guard, so Pau Gasol will be asked to do a great deal of facilitating. Morris has proven his worth on the defensive end at times, but he's struggled on offense, and while Goudelock was named D-League MVP, he's yet to prove he can be a real threat against bigger, stronger two-guards in the league. It could be a long night for the Lakers as the team looks to avoid falling into an 0-3 hole.
