Free agent G/F MarShon Brooks signed with the Italian team Olimpia Milano this week.
Brooks barely played last season before joining the Lakers, with whom he averaged 6.4 points in 13 minutes per game, and that wasn't enough to earn him a guaranteed NBA contract this summer. This may not be the final chapter in his NBA career but fantasy owners can safely dismiss him. Aug 10 - 5:58 PM

Free agent MarShon Brooks is finalizing a contract with the Italian team Olimpia Milano Armani.

The Pacers were among the teams to show some interest in Brooks as a free agent, and he played for the Kings' Summer League team in Las Vegas, but now he'll earn his money by heading overseas.

The Pacers have MarShon Brooks on their "short list" of players to support their wing rotation in the wake of Paul George's devastating injury.

Brooks played for the Kings' Summer League team in Las Vegas this summer, where he averaged 10.6 points on 53.1 percent shooting. He hasn't done much beyond scoring the ball at the NBA level, peaking at 12.6 points per game as a rookie, but could make sense for Indiana on a minimum-salary deal.
Aug 3 - 3:09 PM

The Kings advanced to the Las Vegas Summer League finals with a win vs. the Wizards on Sunday, led by MarShon Brooks' 14 points and five rebounds off the bench.

Brooks scored with ease and finished 5-of-7 from the field in just 16 minutes, but in true Summer League fashion he also committed four turnovers and five personal fouls. Sacramento led 39-10 at one point in the first half and cruised to the victory with nine different players scoring at least four points. They'll face the Rockets for the Summer League championship.
Jul 20 - 10:18 PM

MarShon Brooks scored 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting in the Kings' 100-86 win over the Timberwolves on Thursday.

Brooks is hoping to earn his way on to an NBA roster with a strong Summer League performance, and he may if he continues to perform the way he did against Minnesota. He only added four rebounds to the rest of his stat line, so he will need to shoot the ball well if he hopes to make a team.

The Kings are reportedly interested in adding MarShon Brooks to their Summer League roster.

Brooks hasn't agreed to join the team and may not end up with the Kings next season even if he does play for them in Las Vegas, but at least he's drawing some interest. The 25-year-old SG struggled last season, playing in a combined 35 games for the Celtics, Warriors and Lakers. It would take a perfect situation and a bit of luck for Brooks to emerge as a fantasy contributor in 2014-15.
Jun 29 - 3:10 PM

MarShon Brooks scored two points with two rebounds and two blocks in 11 minutes on Friday.

Brooks has been terrible on the court and anybody that added him for the five-game week can move along.
Mar 8 - 12:43 AM

MarShon Brooks hit just 1-of-9 shots on Monday, finishing with eight points, seven boards and two steals in 25 minutes off the bench.

Brooks was a popular plug-and-play in deeper leagues with five games on the slate this week. He hit 6-of-6 shots from the foul line and when his other looks fall then this type of usage profiles as a profit this week.
Mar 4 - 12:35 AM

MarShon Brooks scored 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting (including three treys) with two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 26 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Kings.

This game had no defense so it's hard to get behind these results in full, but Brooks has been mildly productive lately and he's worth a look for the chance the explosions outweigh the inevitable duds.
Mar 1 - 12:56 AM

MarShon Brooks played 27 minutes and hit 4-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 11 points, two rebounds, four assists and a block in Tuesday's loss.

We're not sure why Mike D'Antoni is so bent on getting Brooks heavy minutes, but it is happening right now. He's still not a guy we'd recommend targeting, but he is worth keeping a close eye on over the next week.
Feb 25 - 10:55 PM

MarShon Brooks cooled off on Sunday night with seven points, three boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-poitner in 19 minutes.

He lit it up for 14 points in 23 minutes on Friday and there was really no way he was going to be able to duplicate that line. Kent Bazemore looks like the better add in all formats while Brooks is a tough waiver-wire target in almost any league.
Feb 24 - 12:36 AM

MarShon Brooks scored 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting with two boards, three steals and two turnovers in 23 minutes against his former team on Friday.

The up-tempo style of MarShon Brooks certainly fit into coach Mike D'Antoni's system and Brooks put up a season high for points. "D'Antoni gave me the confidence to go out and play my game," Brooks said after the game. While this was a fun night to watch and an exciting comeback win, Brooks had a lot of ups and downs even when he gets minutes and shooting just 37.8 percent from the field before tonight won't help. If you're looking to add him, it should be for dead weight in a deep league.
Feb 22 - 10:03 AM

Newly acquired Lakers MarShon Brooks and Kent Bazemore will be available for Friday's game against the Celtics.

With Nick Young and Steve Nash out, Brooks and Bazemore might actually get on the court. However, we wouldn't expect big minutes. Jodie Meeks and Wes Johnson are near locks for 30-plus minutes Friday night.
Feb 21 - 2:05 PM

MarShon Brooks was traded to the Lakers on Wednesday.

He was just acquired by the Warriors last month and played a total of 15 minutes with his new team. Brooks had a solid season during his rookie campaign, but his wild shot selection and sub-par defense cost him a chance to be in the rotation on his last two teams. Coach Mike D'Antoni could give him minutes, but Brooks has his work cut out for him.
Feb 19 - 9:45 PM

MarShon Brooks was traded from the Celtics to the Warriors on Wednesday.

Jordan Crawford was also traded and Draymond Green is staying put in Golden State, making it even harder to imagine Brooks surfacing with a meaningful role on a playoff contender. He appeared in just 10 games for Boston this season and has spent much of his time in the D-League.
