Nikola Vucevic had 22 points on 10-of-19 shooting vs. New York on Wednesday, adding 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.
Vuc averaged 23.5 points and 15.5 rebounds vs. the Knicks last season, and his impressive stretch continued in Orlando's much-needed home victory. This should help allay any fears that arose after Vuc averaged a mere 22.3 minutes in Orlando's past three games. Nov 25 - 10:06 PM

Nikola Vucevic played just 26 minutes against the Cavs on Monday with 12 points, five boards, two assists and one turnover.

Coach Scott Skiles will be making a change to his starting lineup on Wednesday and there's a decent chance we see Dewayne Dedmon start over Vooch. Still, Vucevic is too valuable to be benched this severely all season, so his owners just have to hang in there.
Nov 23 - 9:56 PM

Nikola Vucevic did not play in the final 14:23 of Saturday's loss to the Kings, finishing with 11 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 25 minutes.

This was a close game, but coach Scott Skiles went with Channing Frye at center over Vooch in crunch time. Dewayne Dedmon took some of Vucevic's minutes on Wednesday, but maybe Skiles wanted some extra 3-point shooting. Also, Skiles doesn't appear to be pleased with Vucevic's effort. This probably won't continue for too long, but this is nothing new from Skiles. Vooch's owners have to sit tight until Skiles stops benching his best big man.
Nov 21 - 7:42 PM

The Magic will start Elfrid Payton, Victor Oladipo, Evan Fournier, Tobias Harris and Nikola Vucevic on Saturday against the Kings.

Vooch was benched and didn't play in the second half on Wednesday. "As good as he is, we want more -- more effort and more energy," coach Scott Skiles said. The Magic got the win, so benched him worked out. Still, expect Vucevic to get his normal playing time.
Nov 21 - 3:28 PM

Nikola Vucevic was benched after halftime on Wednesday and he never got back into the game, finishing with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 16 minutes.

The Magic trailed by 14 points at halftime and Vucevic was 4-of-13 from the field at that point. "[I] just didn't think he played very well," said Skiles, who is living up to our preseason fears. He's yanking around player's roles on a night-to-night basis, but Vuc is far too good for this to be a long-term concern. Barring one injury-shortened appearance, he'd played at least 26 minutes in every game this season. Expect him to start on Saturday.
Nov 18 - 10:45 PM

The Magic started the third quarter on Wednesday with Dewayne Dedmon and Channing Frye for Victor Oladipo and Nikola Vucevic.

Coach Scott Skiles is at it again here after his team was beaten up on the defensive end. No man is safe. We'll let you know how everyone does in the second half.
Nov 18 - 8:24 PM

Nikola Vucevic scored 19 points during a 108-99 loss to the Wizards on Saturday, adding 13 rebounds, two assists and one block in 36 minutes.

The minutes cap is gone, but the Magic have been very bad as a starting unit. Among lineups with at least 48 minutes together, the healthy Magic starting five has the worst net rating at -17.4 and worst defensive rating at 111.7. Coach Scott Skiles can keep guys on a short leash, but it likely won't affect Vooch. He should be a top-10 big man in fantasy.
Nov 14 - 9:58 PM

Nikola Vucevic was back to his old ways in the starting lineup on Friday, scoring 16 points with nine rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

He never had any structural damage to his knee ligaments and just had a bone bruise. Vucevic has over two blocks per game on the season while he's been a 16-8 guy. Coach Scott Skiles tends to keep several guys on a short leash, but Vooch isn't one of them. He should be a top-10 big man in fantasy.
Nov 13 - 9:35 PM

Nikola Vucevic will start on Friday vs. the Jazz with Dewayne Dedmon shifting to the bench.

Vucevic came off the bench in his return to action on Wednesday and finished with 18 points, five boards, two assists and one block in 26 minutes, but he looked great and the Magic will likely increase his workload tonight. Vucevic is obviously a must-start player, while Dedmon's owners can think about moving on.
Nov 13 - 11:58 AM

Nikola Vucevic (knee) had 18 points, five rebounds, two assists and one block in 26 bench minutes during his return on Wednesday.

He logged 26 minutes tonight and hit the game-winning shot to prevent a two-game losing streak. The Magic were just easing Vuc into the mix, which explains his temporary bench role, and he should resume starting during their back-to-back set on Friday (vs. Utah) and Saturday (at Washington).
Nov 11 - 10:09 PM

Nikola Vucevic (knee) will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Lakers.

Vucevic said that while his knee isn't yet 100 percent, he felt confident after going through warmups and is confident he'll be close to top form against the Lakers. Go ahead and get him active.
Nov 11 - 5:57 PM

Nikola Vucevic is active and if he is able to play he would come off the bench against the Lakers on Wednesday.

He's a game-time decision and is warming up to play. We'll have another update momentarily, but there's a decent chance we don't get an official word of his status until just before tip.
Nov 11 - 5:31 PM

Nikola Vucevic (knee) will go through warmups and possibly play against the Lakers on Wednesday.

There really has been no positive news on Vucevic since his injury, but maybe he is able to give it a go. We should have another update in an hour. If he's out, it'll be Dewayne Dedmon getting another start.
Nov 11 - 5:10 PM

The Magic cancelled Wednesday morning's shootaround, so there will not be any update on that status of Nikola Vucevic (knee) or Jason Smith (knee) until later this evening.

Both Vucevic and Smith sat out Tuesday's practice, so we'll be considering both doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Lakers. If both players do indeed remain sidelined on Wednesday, look for Dewayne Dedmon to start, with Aaron Gordon and Channing Frye seeing some increased opportunity for playing time.

Nikola Vucevic (right knee bone bruise) did not practice on Tuesday.

With Vucevic sitting out Tuesday's practice, he's looking doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers, but we'll likely get another update following Wednesday morning's shootaround. If he can't go, look for Dweayne Dedmon to again draw the start, with Aaron Gordon seeing some increased opportunity for playing time.
