Nikola Vucevic scored 22 points with nine rebounds, nine assists, four steals and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday.
That'll snap a five-game losing streak for the Magic to move them back to the No. 4 spot in the lottery. The Magic have talked about winning some games to end their disappointing season, so there's no word on Vucevic getting time off. Although, it'll be interesting to see if the team does want to give Khem Birch more run. Regardless, Vooch's owners can keep plugging him in until further notice. Mar 14 - 9:51 PM

Nikola Vucevic ended up with 17 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot over 30 minutes in a road loss against the Clippers on Saturday.

Vucevic hit 8-of-20 from the floor, while adding 1-of-4 from behind the 3-point line, and he didn't get to the charity stripe. After displaying a little rust in his first few games back, Vucevic has kicked it back into high fantasy gear in March. He is averaging 18.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 blocked shots per outings over the past six contests since flipping the calendar from February.
Mar 11 - 1:11 AM

The Magic lost a tough game in L.A. on Wednesday, despite Nikola Vucevic putting up 24 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

Vuc made 11-of-18 field goals tonight and this was his highest-scoring game since Dec. 17, just before the hand fracture that sidelined him for roughly six weeks. The 27-year-old center only needs 30+ minutes for early-round value, and his role is solidified with Orlando having no incentive to give minutes to Bismack Biyombo or Marreese Speights.
Mar 8 - 1:22 AM

Nikola Vucevic scored 20 points with 12 rebounds, six assists, one block and four turnovers in 38 minutes against the Pistons on Friday.

It's the most points he has scored since his return to the lineup and also the most minutes -- he was at 33 at the end of regulation. Vucevic has been producing just fine since his return to the lineup, averaging 16.6 points, 8.0 boards, 3.2 dimes, 1.4 blocks, 1.0 steals and 1.2 treys in 30.8 minutes per game. After the game, Vooch said the Magic want to win as many games as they can, so hopefully that means he's staying on the floor as much as possible.
Mar 2 - 9:44 PM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) made his long-awaited return on Thursday, scoring 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting with two 3-pointers, six rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist in 24 minutes.

Vuc was on a minute-limit tonight but patient owners must be delighted with the initial returns. The Magic are among the teams likely tanking for draft-lottery position, which could pose a threat to Vuc's role down the stretch, but for now his starting gig and minutes look safe. He'll get a day to rest before squaring off vs. Joel Embiid in Philly on Saturday.
Feb 22 - 9:57 PM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) and Aaron Gordon (hip) will both start on Thursday vs. the Knicks.

His minutes will be kept "at a reasonable number" according to coach Frank Vogel, but we weren't given a specific number. His fantasy owners in season-long leagues should still start him, but it may take him a week or two to start producing elite fantasy value.
Feb 22 - 11:17 AM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) and Aaron Gordon (hip) are "on track" to play Thursday vs. the Knicks.

Barring a setback, Vucevic will be back out there on Thursday following a two-month layoff, which will translate to Bismack Biyombo heading back to the second unit. Mario Hezonja has played really well in Gordon's absence, but his value figures to take a bit of a hit with AG back in action. Vucevic was flirting with top-15 value prior to going down, so he absolutely needs to be owned in all leagues at this point.

Nikola Vucevic (hand) said he expects to return on February 22nd, Orlando's first game after the All-Star break.

Vucevic fractured his left hand on Dec. 23 and has missed each of the 22 games Orlando has played since. However, he plans on returning to game action next Thursday, when the Magic host the Knicks. "I expect to be back against the Knicks, so I’ll stay in Orlando during the break and keep working on my game," Vucevic said Monday night. Bismack Biyombo will start just one more game before he is bumped back to the bench. Khem Birch will also see his minutes reduced.
Feb 13 - 10:58 AM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) is listed as out for Monday's game vs. the Bulls.

The Magic keep ruling him out a day in advance, but at this point it wouldn't be surprising if he just sat out until the All-Star break. Khem Birch has been terrific off the bench and may have forced his way into a timeshare with Bismack Biyombo while Vucevic is out.
Feb 11 - 9:59 AM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) will not return on Thursday vs. the Hawks.

Vucevic is now day-to-day, but coach Frank Vogel wants to get him some more practices before clearing him. Khem Birch may have leapfrogged Marreese Speights in the rotation with his strong play recently, so don't be surprised if he's the first center off the bench behind Bismack Biyombo tonight. Keep an eye on Biyombo and Vucevic during the deadline as well, as both could be on the block.
Feb 8 - 11:17 AM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) is questionable for Thursday against the Hawks.

This is great news and Vucevic has been ramping up his activity for a while now. He did some on-court work dating back to at least Jan. 20, so maybe he won't be too restricted upon his return. Obviously he needs to be picked up everywhere, and conversely Bismack Biyombo could be dropped in most leagues. Although, the Magic could be busy at the deadline.
Feb 7 - 2:04 PM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) and Jonathan Isaac (ankle) practiced with the team on Friday, but coach Frank Vogel said both players are "a ways away from playing again."

According to beat reporter Josh Robbins, "their returns to game action don't appear imminent." It seems Vucevic is still targeting a return around the All-Star game, which will be played February 18th. Bismack Biyombo will continue to draw starts at center for Orlando.
Feb 2 - 1:47 PM

Frank Vogel said that Nikola Vucevic (hand) is "close" to being cleared for full contact work.

Once Vucevic gets cleared for full contact work, we'll know his return is right around the corner. He was hit with a 6-8 week timetable back on December 26, and he hasn't suffered any setbacks thus far, so he should be back in action after the All-Star at the latest. He should be owned in all leagues.
Jan 30 - 5:52 PM

Nikola Vucevic (hand) hopes to be cleared for full-contact drills soon.

Vucevic's surgeon has only cleared him to do individual drills, but he has been able to get some shots up. Vooch remains on track to return around the All-Star break. Bismack Biyombo will continue to start and log heavy minutes in his absence. Vucevic, who has been mentioned in trade rumors, also told reporters that he would prefer to stay in Orlando.
Jan 26 - 10:03 AM

Nikola Vucevic (wrist) said that he's making progress.

"Little by little [the strength is returning] and the best thing is just me using my hand because that will help it," he said. "I’m just doing stuff every day. Even video games, will help because I’m using my hand.’’ Vucevic has done a little bit of on-court work, but mostly he's been limited to "plunging his fist into a bucket of rice and squeezing exercise balls at various times throughout the day." He's expected to return around the All-Star break, so Bismack Biyombo's value is safe for now.
