Nikola Vucevic scored 26 points with 14 rebounds, one assist, one block, one steal and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes during a 95-88 loss to the Blazers on Friday.
It's probably going to be the Vooch show for the Magic because Aaron Gordon (calf) got hurt again, Evan Fournier (ankle) is still hurt, and Elfrid Payton is slumping. Vucevic had a monster triple-double on Saturday and he's been using over 20 possessions per game in his last four, so his owners should have high hopes for Sunday against the Pistons and beyond. Nikola Vucevic chipped in 14 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, four steals and two blocks in 31 minutes vs. the Clippers on Wednesday.

In the process, Vucevic passed Shaquille O'Neal for the second-most games with 10+ rebounds in Magic franchise history (229), trailing only Dwight Howard. Vuc shot 7-of-16 from the field tonight, without any 3-pointers, but his double-double and defensive stats should satisfy all but the most demanding fantasy owners.
Dec 13 - 11:08 PM

Nikola Vucevic turned in his first triple-double of his career during a 117-110 loss to the Hawks on Saturday, scoring 31 points with 13 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

He becomes he first Magic center to turn in a trip-dub with dimes -- Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard did it Whiteside style with blocks. Just like the start of the season, Vooch is on a wild heater with averages of 23.6 points, 13.2 points, 4.8 boards, 2.6 blocks, 1.2 steals, 1.6 blocks, and 2.2 turnovers on 57.5 percent from the field and 100.0 percent from the line over his last five games. These explosions and playing 28 games so far have him as fantasy's No. 6 player thus far. He won't be this good, but he's been going to shatter his ADP price.
Dec 10 - 1:39 AM

Nikola Vucevic had a strong game vs. Denver on Friday, dropping 21 points with 17 rebounds, two assists, one steal, four blocks and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Vucevic hit 10 of a team-high 19 shot attempts, and it's clear that he's going to eat with Evan Fournier (ankle) out for the "foreseeable future." Aaron Gordon also left Friday's game with a concussion and will miss time, so Vucevic is going to be a strong play in all fantasy formats on Saturday vs. the Hawks -- Atlanta has allowed the fifth most fantasy points to centers this season and are missing their two best frontcourt players.
Dec 8 - 11:06 PM

Nikola Vucevic feasted vs. the Hawks on Wednesday with 22 points (9-of-19 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 16 rebounds, four assists, four blocks, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Orlando scored 62 points in the paint tonight, wisely attacking the interior since Atlanta was without Dewayne Dedmon and John Collins. Vuc was coming off a quiet game in 27 minutes on Monday, but tonight's matchup was exactly what he needed to get back on track.
Dec 6 - 11:06 PM

Nikola Vucevic was held to 10 points on 5-of-12 shooting in 27 minutes against the Hornets on Monday.

Dwight Howard has been a tough matchup for centers this season, as the Hornets have allowed the fifth fewest fantasy points to the position this season. Vooch did salvage his quiet offensive night with eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks, and things will get much easier on Wednesday against a Hawks team that is missing their two best frontcourt players in Dewayne Dedmon (leg) and John Collins (shoulder).
Dec 4 - 9:55 PM

Nikola Vucevic powered the Magic to a 105-100 win over the Knicks on Sunday, tallying 34 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, one 3-pointer, two blocks and one turnover in 35 minutes.

Vooch went to work against Enes Kanter, connecting on 13 of his 19 attempts and going 7-of-7 from the charity stripe for an incredible 77.0 true shooting percentage, a welcome sight for Vuc owners following Friday's six-point disaster. This was Vucevic's seventh 20-plus-point performance of the year, and he also passed up Darrell Armstrong for the No. 9 spot on Orlando's all-time scoring list, so hopefully, he'll be able to keep this positive trend going on Monday in Charlotte.
Dec 3 - 7:08 PM

Nikola Vucevic double-doubled during Saturday's loss to the 76ers, registering 14 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one turnover in 33 minutes.

Vucevic got his numbers, but they didn't come easy with him finishing 5-of-15 from the field and 4-of-6 from the charity stripe. He pretty much got punked by Joel Embiid, but owners can expect a more efficient outing on Monday in Indiana.
Nov 25 - 10:14 PM

Nikola Vucevic played through a sore knee on Monday vs. the Pacers, but managed to score 25 points on 11-of-19 shots.

The Pacers have allowed the most fantasy points to centers this season, so Vucevic took full advantage, racking up 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes. He has cooled off in November after a hot start to the season, and the Magic are going to need more nights like this if they hope to climb out of their slump -- they've lost five games in a row and have fallen to 10th in the East.
Nov 20 - 10:15 PM

Nikola Vucevic banged knees on Saturday vs. the Jazz, but he will play on Monday vs. the Pacers.

He said his knee was sore on Sunday, but there's no word of any restrictions. The Magic will watch him closely and this makes him a risky DFS play, but season-long owners can go ahead and throw him into their lineups.
Nov 20 - 11:46 AM

Nikola Vucevic scored eight points during a 126-85 loss to the Jazz on Saturday, adding two rebounds, one assist, two blocks and three steals in 24 minutes.

Hey, at least the defensive stats were there. This was arguably his worst game as Derrick Favors dominated him on both ends. Vucevic's October was obviously unsustainable overall, but he's still hanging 1.7 treys per game in November to help him get to 14 per night. The Magic offense overall has really flattened out, but Vooch should still be able to flirt with top-40 value going forward.
Nov 18 - 9:44 PM

Nikola Vucevic posted his fifth double-double of the season on Wednesday with 11 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer.

Vuc played 31 minutes during tonight's road loss, which is a great sign after he played 27 or fewer minutes in Orlando's previous three games. His 3-pointers have spiked this season but most owners would rather see their center blocking shots, and Vuc is averaging a mere 0.2 swats in his past 10 games. He's been a terrific overall value this year, of course, so we'll cut him some slack.
Nov 16 - 1:44 AM

Nikola Vucevic hit 7-of-13 shots and 4-of-4 free throws for a team-high 20 points in Monday's 110-100 loss to the Warriors.

The Warriors have been generous to opposing centers all season with the fourth most fantasy points allowed, so Vucevic took full advantage of their undersized frontcourt. He added five rebounds with four assists, one steal and two triples in 27 minutes, and he's still rolling right along with top-24 value in standard 9-category leagues. With Orlando looking like a playoff team, we see no reason to sell-high.
Nov 14 - 1:02 AM

The Magic snapped a two-game losing streak on Wednesday, aided by Nikola Vucevic's team-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting, five rebounds, four steals and three 3-pointers.

The steals tied Vuc's previous career-high and he's cruising as an early-round this season -- remember the start last year, when Bismack Biyombo (15 minutes) seemed like a threat? He made all three of his free throws tonight, with one assist and one block, and the Magic improved their record to 7-4, which is third in the East behind the Pistons (8-3) and Celtics (10-2).
Nov 8 - 10:45 PM

Nikola Vucevic led the Magic with a season-high seven assists on Sunday, adding 13 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes vs. the Celtics.

Elfrid Payton and D.J. Augustin were both out with hamstring injuries tonight and the Magic ran plenty of offense through Vuc in the high post. His typical role is more as a stretch-five, which is why his 3-pointers are way up (1.8 per game) but his rebounds are down (7.7). It's a trade-off most fantasy owners can live with, and he's settling in nicely as a top-40 value.
