The Magic reportedly do not view Nikola Vucevic as "untouchable" in trade talks, but it's highly unlikely the team deals the young center.
Beat writer Brian Schmitz noted Vucevic isn't untouchable if an interested team is offering a "star" in exchange, which seems rather obvious. Regardless, we don't anticipate Orlando having any inclination to move Vucevic after an extremely promising sophomore season that saw him average 13.1 points, 11.9 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 1.0 blocks on 51.9 percent shooting over 77 games as a starter. Nikola Vucevic had another productive game on Wednesday with 20 points, 13 boards and one steal in 37 minutes against the Heat.

He's taken care of business all season and it's hard to believe that he was essentially a throw-in player in the Andrew Bynum deal. Vucevic was second in the league in rebounding and he was one of the biggest pleasant surprises of the season for fantasy owners.
Apr 17 - 11:54 PM

Nikola Vucevic briefly exited Saturday's game with an injured left hand or wrist, but he returned to finish with 16 points, 12 rebounds, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

Vucevic has been on fire of late, averaging 19.0 points and 16.6 rebounds in April. He knocked down 8-of-14 shots tonight, and his limited minutes were due to foul trouble and the lopsided score, so keep him locked into your active lineups.
Apr 13 - 9:50 PM

Nikola Vucevic scored a career-high 30 points to go with 20 boards in Wednesday's win over the Bucks, adding five assists, one steal and two blocks in 40 minutes.

He had 14 defensive boards and most of it can be attributed to the Bucks missing 62 field goals and nine free throws. Vucevic was a find by the Magic and the Sixers have to be kicking themselves pretty hard for just throwing him in the deal to get Andrew Bynum.
Apr 10 - 10:59 PM

Nikola Vucevic came four assists shy of a triple-double on Sunday, racking up 21 points, 21 rebounds, six dimes and two blocks vs. the Cavaliers.

The Cavs tend to give up big numbers to opposing big men, so this isn't shocking -- they even lead the NBA in blocks-against by opposing PFs and Cs. Their ineptitude doesn't detract from Vuc's huge night, of course, and he remains one of the brightest breakout players of the 2012-13 season.
Apr 7 - 9:42 PM

Nikola Vucevic had 12 points, 13 rebounds and a two blocks in 35 minutes of Monday's loss to the Rockets.

His concussion is behind him and he looks like he's good to go from here on out. He had 17 & 15 on Saturday, and should be back in starting lineups until further notice.
Apr 2 - 12:28 AM

Nikola Vucevic (concussion) returned to action on Saturday, scoring 17 points and grabbing 15 rebounds with two steals and one block in 39 minutes.

It's safe to say his concussion didn't limit him. Vuc's late-season injury may dull some owners' memories when they reflect on this season, but he's proven repeatedly that he has the ability to average a big double-double with a block or two per game. His fantasy value is buoyed by the addition of a few assists (1.8), solid FG shooting (52.2 percent) and adequate FT shooting (68.3 percent). Don't sleep on him in 2013-14.
Mar 30 - 10:06 PM

Nikola Vucevic (concussion) made the trip for Saturday's game against the Hawks will play.

He wasn't cleared to play on Friday and now he's ready to go for the game. The Magic have been gutted in the interior and guys like Kyle O'Quinn and Andrew Nicholson have been filling in. Vucevic may have been dropped in your leagues, so this is one of those "run, don't walk" moments to go and get him. Nicholson and O'Quinn are on the chopping block in most formats.
Mar 30 - 5:45 PM

Nikola Vucevic (concussion) was spotted doing some shooting on Friday, but he hasn't been medically cleared to play.

We don't expect to see him on Friday against the Wizards, and it will be his fifth straight game on the sidelines if he doesn't play. Kyle O'Quinn, who is coming off of a career night with 23 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, would draw another start inside assuming Vucevic remains on the shelf.
Mar 29 - 11:26 AM

Nikola Vucevic (concussion) reported improvement, but he will not play on Wednesday, as expected.

Vucevic is not traveling to Charlotte for the game, but he's not planning on shutting it down for the season. "I'm getting better," he said. "I'm better day-by-day." Vucevic will likely be evaluated on a daily basis, and it's unclear how much longer he'll be sidelined. While he sits, Kyle O'Quinn should continue to start at center with guys like Moe Harkless and Tobias Harris running wild.
Mar 27 - 8:30 AM

Updating a previous item, Nikola Vucevic (concussion) will not travel to Charlotte and will not play against the Bobcats on Wednesday.

Vucevic didn't do anything at practice on Tuesday, and we didn't expect to see him on Wednesday. The Magic play at home against the Wizards on Friday before embarking on a long road trip, and Vucevic said he expects to play again this season. Kyle O'Quinn should start on Wednesday.
Mar 26 - 1:03 PM

Nikola Vucevic (concussion) did not participate in a light practice on Tuesday.

This puts his status for Wednesday's game against the Bobcats up in the air, and Vucevic will have to pass his baseline concussion tests before being cleared to play. With Vucevic looking unlikely to return on Wednesday at the moment, Kyle O'Quinn will likely step in at center once again.
Mar 26 - 12:37 PM

Nikola Vucevic (concussion) will not play vs. the Heat on Monday, as expected.

There was never much doubt that Vuc would sit this one out, as he has yet to pass the NBA's post-concussion medical protocol. Kyle O'Quinn, who is averaging 11.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in the past two games, will earn another start at center.
Mar 25 - 6:09 PM

Nikola Vucevic (concussion) did not participate in shootaround on Monday and is looking doubtful to play against the Heat.

We heard on Sunday that the Magic would likely be without Vucevic, and we agree with beat writer Josh Robbins who doesn't "envision" Vucevic playing on Monday. With Vucevic most likely out for a third straight game, the Magic could again opt to start Kyle O'Quinn at center with Tobias Harris and Moe Harkless playing as many minutes as they can handle.
Mar 25 - 11:00 AM

The Magic will "most likely" play without Nikola Vucevic (concussion) vs. the Heat on Monday, according to beat writer John Denton.

Vucevic is officially questionable for the game, but he has yet to pass the NBA's rigorous post-concussion protocol, and beat writer Joshua Robbins also guessed that there is "no way" Vuc will play. The Magic play again on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday this week, so he could salvage some value in weekly leagues. An unexpected return would certainly be welcome, as he's averaging 25.0 rebounds in his previous two matchups with the Heat.
