Kyle Singler has weight-training goals for the offseason.
Singler is expected to work on his game in all areas and there should be "improvements in all aspects," according to strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander. Singler will also work on his stamina and conditioning before he enters his sophomore season. May 14 - 10:04 AM

Kyle Singler had 18 points, eight rebounds and two 3-pointers in Friday's loss to the Heat.

Once a week, Singler seems to gets in the flow of the offense and score in double figures. That's what happens when you're the starting small forward on a bad team and play 27-29 minutes every night. There's just no fantasy upside because Singler doesn't help in any other categories when he's not scoring.
Mar 22 - 11:18 PM

Kyle Singler hit 8-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer for 17 points, four rebounds and an assist in a loss to the Warriors on Wednesday.

Singler had scored 5, 6 and 9 points in his previous three games, so despite the fact he's starting for the Pistons, he's far from a reliable fantasy option at this point.
Mar 14 - 2:24 AM

Kyle Singler scored two points on 1-of-7 shooting with three rebounds in 14 minutes on Friday.

The Pistons were blown out but this is still a problem for owners. Even in deeper formats, owners can do better.
Feb 23 - 12:10 AM

Kyle Singler scored 14 points with seven rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes during Friday's surprising 119-109 win over the Spurs.

The 119 points were a season-high for points in regulation for Detroit and they shot 51.7 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from downtown. Singler has been inconsistent since he was thrust into a bigger role with Tayshaun Prince out of town, so he's not quite in the discussion for standard leagues just yet.
Feb 9 - 12:45 AM

Kyle Singler played just 25 minutes against the Knicks on Monday, scoring five points with two boards, one assist and one 3-pointer.

He played 40 minutes on Sunday, but Jose Calderon making his debut shifted Brandon Knight (five points and two assists on 2-of-10 shooting in 28 minutes) and Rodney Stuckey (14 points, seven boards, four assists and three steals in 30 minutes) to get more minutes at shooting guard. Both Stuckey and Knight look to be better assets in standard leagues than Singler.
Feb 4 - 11:16 PM

Kyle Singler had 11 points and six rebounds vs. the Lakers on Sunday, while playing a team-high 40 minutes.

Singler shot just 4-of-12 but he made two 3-pointers and seems to have stumbled into heavy minutes at SF in the wake of Detroit's recent trade. Jonas Jerebko scored five points in 10 minutes but he's ill-equipped to defend the SF position, and Singler makes a nice low-end pickup in eight-and nine-cat leagues.
Feb 3 - 3:48 PM

Kyle Singler scored 20 points on 9-of-17 shooting (including a three) with eight rebounds, two steals, and three blocks in 37 minutes on Friday against the Cavs.

Singler put up good defensive numbers but was otherwise pedestrian in his first start at SF, but against a bad Cavs team he was able to get loose tonight. Jose Calderon's insertion into the lineup should help Singler in many ways, but it will necessarily take the ball out his hands and tonight's touches will probably be the exception and not the rule. Still, after a night like this he's worth a look.
Feb 2 - 1:03 AM

Kyle Singler started at small forward on Wednesday and had five points, four rebounds, two steals, two blocks and a 3-pointer on 2-of-6 shooting in 30 minutes.

New position, more of the same lackluster production. Singler may stick as the starting small forward going forward, as the Pistons just don't have many options with Corey Maggette out of the rotation with hamstrings made of spaghetti, but we don't foresee a big boost to his value either way.
Jan 30 - 10:48 PM

Kyle Singler started at small forward on Wednesday, the day that Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye were tentatively traded to the Grizzlies, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him stay there.

Singler's value shouldn't change too much, and he really wasn't worth owning as a starting SG. Then again, the change of position and a possible boost in playing time could work in his favor. He'll be worth keeping an eye on either way, but the potential position change shouldn't have a huge impact on him, unless he ends up coming off the bench at either position.
Jan 30 - 7:23 PM

Kyle Singler has not been playing well recently, averaging just 6.9 points on 35 percent shooting over 19 games since November.

Further, Singler is shooting just 25 percent from 3-point range. Singler continues to start, but he's played less than 20 minutes in consecutive games now. "It's an adjustment," Lawrence Frank said. He's really not an option in standard formats.
Jan 11 - 9:49 AM

Kyle Singler admitted on Saturday that he hasn't been playing with sufficient energy, but he felt better after posting 12 points and five rebounds vs. Miami on Friday.

Singler's numbers vs. the Heat aren't impressive, but he made plays when it mattered and sparked an improbable comeback win for Detroit. He was solid for much of November, when he made 50 percent of his FGs and shot 42 percent from downtown, but he's collapsed in December with just 7.6 points on 36 percent shooting, including 28 percent from downtown. He's still playing 30 minutes per game so we'll keep an eye on him.
Sun, Dec 30, 2012 09:38:00 AM

Kyle Singler scored 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 31 minutes on Friday.

Singler got some extra run and touches with Rodney Stuckey out and built on the style of line we've been accustomed to seeing from him. Unfortunately that style of line needs nights like these in order to be helpful, and we're not getting that out of Singler these days.
Sat, Dec 29, 2012 01:50:00 AM

Pistons rookie Kyle Singler played under 30 minutes on Saturday, shooting 1-of-6 from the field to finish with two points, seven rebounds and two steals.

Singler was a stealthy fantasy option in November, but he's bottoming out at 37.3 percent from the field in December. The minutes are still there, but he can't be used in standard leagues until his shots start falling.
Sat, Dec 22, 2012 09:52:00 PM

Kyle Singler played 39 minutes against the Clippers on Monday and had 11 points, three rebounds and one 3-pointer.

It was his first game in double figures in his last eight games. Rodney Stuckey (back) didn't play, so Singler basically squandered an opportunity here with the heavy dose of minutes. Stuckey doesn't figure to be out too long, which means Singler belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues.
