Restricted free agent Kyle Singler has agreed to a five-year, $25 million deal with the Thunder.
There aren't many players getting five-year deals and Singler is one of the bigger surprises. Chances are this is a cap-friendly deal for a guy who might not even be in the rotation. The last year of this deal is a team option. Jul 1 - 3:37 PM

The Thunder are expected to re-sign Kyle Singler to what could be a three-year deal.

Considering OKC really wants to bring back Enes Kanter, this deal is likely going to have to be a cap-friendly contract. Singler won't have much fantasy value.

Thunder extend a qualifying contract offer to G/F Kyle Singler.

This is simply a procedural move, and now the team will be able to match any offer he receives as a restricted free agent.

Kyle Singler said that his initial tenure with the Thunder was "challenging."

"I feel during the year I could have been more effective," Singler said. "I was ready regardless but I thought I could have been a much better player for this team than I was." Singler will be a restricted free agent, but both he and the Thunder have expressed a desire to work with one another again.

According to general manager Sam Presti, the Thunder could re-sign Kyle Singler.

"With regards to Singler, finding a player in free agency that can shoot close to 40 percent from the 3-point line over the course of a season, embrace various roles, and stand as one of your more fundamental players at 6'9 is unlikely when over the cap and tax," Presti said. "Therefore, we are hopeful we will be able to keep working with him in the future." Despite these encouraging words from Presti, Singler struggled to find playing time even when Kevin Durant went down, so it's hard to imagine him having any fantasy value if he stayed in OKC.

Kyle Singler scored 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting (including three treys) with four rebounds, two steals and one block in 29 minutes on Friday against the Grizzlies.

Singler needs to back this up with another nice game before we pay him much attention, but with the Thunder banged up anything is possible.
Apr 4 - 1:24 AM

Kyle Singler finished Tuesday's 127-117 win vs. the Lakers with eight points, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, one assist and one block.

Andre Roberson (ankle) is expected to miss an extended period of time, leaving Singler with a clear path to playing time with the starting unit. He's been a fantasy non-entity since joining the Thunder, however, and belongs on the waiver wire as long as Dion Waiters and Anthony Morrow are both healthy.
Mar 24 - 11:29 PM

Kyle Singler will return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers with Andre Roberson (ankle) unavailable.

Singler started the second half on Sunday when Roberson went down, so this was the expected move. However, Singler has been nearly invisible in OKC, posting averages of 3.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game on 30.4 percent shooting from the field, so he can't be viewed as a viable option in almost any league despite his status as a starter.
Mar 24 - 6:37 PM

Kyle Singler started the second half of Sunday's game at SF after Andre Roberson hurt his ankle, but he finished with only two points, one assist and two steals in 15 minutes of action.

Singler was a non-entity in fantasy leagues even when he was a full-time starter for OKC, so there's no reason to think he'll emerge as a reliable option down the stretch. Owners scouring the Thunder roster for value should look to Anthony Morrow and, in a pinch, Dion Waiters.
Mar 22 - 7:17 PM

Kyle Singler made another token start at SF on Sunday, going scoreless with four rebounds in 15 uneventful minutes.

It's unclear when Kevin Durant (foot) will be cleared to play but it hardly matters for Singler, who has been a fantasy liability since joining the Thunder at the trade deadline.
Mar 8 - 9:50 PM

Kyle Singler started Tuesday's game but didn't score in 19 minutes of action, missing all four of his field goals without attempting any free throws.

Singler has started three straight games since joining the Thunder but he's averaging 17.3 minutes in those contests, which isn't nearly enough burn to help fantasy owners. He's off the standard-league radar and may not even be in OKC's rotation once Kevin Durant (foot) returns to action.
Feb 24 - 11:13 PM

In his second straight start for the Thunder, Kyle Singler chipped in seven points, two rebounds and one steal while committing five fouls in just 15 minutes of action.

Singler's perimeter scoring is a boon for the Thunder, especially with Kevin Durant (foot) on the sidelines, but his fantasy relevance should vanish upon KD's return. As things stand he's a decent source of scoring and 3-pointers, but don't expect well-rounded value from the 26-year-old swingman -- he's shooting under 40 percent this season while averaging 2.6 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks in 24 minutes per game.
Feb 22 - 10:07 PM

Kyle Singler scored six points with two rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes on Saturday.

There is just no opportunity for him even with Kevin Durant out. Singler may play a little more once he gets acclimated, but he is going to need too many things to happen to have value in even 20-team leagues.
Feb 21 - 10:15 PM

Kyle Singler will draw the start on Saturday against the Hornets in place of Kevin Durant (foot).

Singler was acquired from the Pistons at the trade deadline, and while he wasn't expected to be a large part of the rotation upon his arrival, Durant's foot injury forced OKC's hand. Singler might be able to provide owners in deeper leagues with some short-term value, but with season averages of just 7.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game, there isn't a lot of appeal here.
Feb 21 - 12:23 PM

Kyle Singler was traded to the Thunder on Thursday.

He will have less playing time headed his way. Singler may not even be in the rotation with his new team, so he can be cut in almost all leagues.
