He's been back and forth with the Kings and the D-League all season. Honeycutt scored just eight points with the Kings all year, but he was solid with the Reno Big Horns, averaging 10.9 points, 9.6 boards and 1.7 blocks. He'll likely be thrown into the Rockets' D-League system.

Tyler Honeycutt was diagnosed with a right fibula stress fracture during his preseason physical on Monday.

This is even more concerning since the Kings forward was already dealing with a stress fracture in his right foot. He is expected to miss 3-4 weeks while the fibula mends itself. Once healthy, Honeycutt should resume playing spot minutes off the end of the bench.

Tyler Honeycutt (foot) is now out of his walking boot, but he will not play in summer league.

Honeycutt worked out with the injury for two weeks, but he acknowledged that it wouldn't be smart to rush back. "It's pretty tough," he admitted. With a plethora of wing players on the roster, Honeycutt finds himself at the back end of the depth chart. "I'm just worried about my development going into my second year," he added. Honeycutt is up 10 lbs. from last year, but he is highly unlikely to come into fantasy relevance.

Kings forward Tyler Honeycutt will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a stress fracture in his right foot.

Honeycutt has intriguing versatility but we have yet to see him take any meaningful steps forward. With this setback, it's hard to see him having a productive season starting from the bottom of the depth chart.

The Kings have assigned rookie Tyler Honeycutt to the D-League.

Honeycutt, rail thin at 6'8" and 190 lbs, played a grand total of four minutes in his one NBA appearance. A stint in the D-League will give him far more opportunities to develop.
