After undergoing knee surgery Monday, Malcolm Lee had an operation on his hip on Wednesday.
The hip procedure completes a surgery doubleheader for Lee, who faces a very lengthy and difficult rehab to get back on the court. Needless to say, he's out for the season. Jan 16 - 3:33 PM

Malcolm Lee underwent successful knee surgery on Monday, and he will undergo hip surgery on Wednesday.

Lee faces a lengthy rehab process to recover from his injuries and is out for the season.

Malcolm Lee will also have hip surgery as well as surgery on his knee.

He was ruled out for the season earlier this week. Lee will undergo surgery on cartilage on his right knee on Monday, then have surgery on his right hip on Wednesday. It'll be a tough rehab for him with both injuries coming to his right side.

Malcolm Lee will have knee surgery and is out for the season.

Lee was out for the year before his decision to have surgery, but this makes it official. No date has been set yet for his procedure.

Malcolm Lee (knee) is out for the remainder of the season, a team source told Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN.

Lee may need microfracture surgery on the knee, and regardless of whether or not that's the final outcome, he will not play again this season. With Josh Howard (torn ACL) also done for the season, the Timberwolves will look for help on the free agent market, but this also means Brandon Roy (when healthy), J.J. Barea, Luke Ridnour and Alexey Shved will have less competition for minutes.

Malcolm Lee (knee) may need season-ending micro-fracture surgery.

With the loss of Lee and Josh Howard (torn ACL), the Timberwolves are in need of SG/SF depth. Michael Redd (who averaged 8.2 points per game last year for Phoenix) and Chris Douglas-Roberts are two names that beat writer Jerry Zgoda suggests as possibilities.

Malcolm Lee is out indefinitely after suffering what the team termed a "chrondal" injury in his right knee.

The Timberwolves said they will evaluate the injury before determining the next step, but this isn't the first time Lee has dealt with knee issues. According to beat writer Jerry Zgoda, the chrondal diagnosis is a degenerative condition involving cartilage damage. We're not doctors, but given the issues of his teammate Brandon Roy, this diagnosis doesn't bode well for Lee's long-term prospects.

Malcolm Lee (knee) did not practice on Thursday and will not play on Friday.

This should open more minutes for Alexey Shved, who started the second half of Wednesday's game in place of Lee. J.J. Barea and Luke Ridnour will see a small bump in time as well.

Malcolm Lee suffered a hyperextended right knee in Wednesday's game and will not return.

Lee's value has been on its way down lately and Rubio coming back isn't going to help either. He played 21 minutes per game in his last three games and isn't worth owning in any league. Alexey Shved will start the second half.

Malcolm Lee returned from a groin injury and hit all four of his shots and both 3-pointers for 10 points, two rebounds and one assist in 19 minutes.

More minutes would have been nice in the blowout, while Alexey Shved and J.J. Barea both caught fire tonight. While Lee will be worth keeping an eye on as long as he's starting, Shved and Barea are much better fantasy options.

Malcolm Lee (groin) is expected to start on Tuesday.

No surprise here. Lee was back at practice on Monday, and Rick Adelman said that he likes Alexey Shved coming off the bench. Lee is averaging 18 minutes per game, but has just 4.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists to show for it.

Malcolm Lee (groin) returned to practice on Monday.

With Lee back in the fold, Alexey Shved, J.J. Barea and Luke Ridnour will all likely see a small drop in playing time. However, Lee is not relevant in standard leagues.

Malcolm Lee (groin) did not practice on Sunday.

Lee was a late scratch on Friday with a groin injury that also bothered him a month ago. His absence has really opened things up for rookie Alexey Shved and J.J. Barea will also pick up some extra minutes. Lee is not on the radar in standard leagues.

Malcolm Lee (groin) was a late scratch on Friday and will not play.

Lee dealt with a groin issue back in October, so there's a good chance that this could be an aggravated issue. J.J. Barea, Luke Ridnour and Alexey Shved should collectively pick up a few extra minutes and get a slight boost. Lee can be left on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Malcolm Lee played through his thigh injury on Tuesday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting with one assist, one steal and one block.

Lee is one example of a player in a starting role who doesn't carry fantasy appeal at the present time in standard formats.
