Andrew Goudelock said the Lakers want him to stay around and work out with the team this summer.
The Lakers signed Goudelock before the playoffs after waiving him prior to the season. Goudelock was the reigning D-League MVP at the time and showed his scoring touch in the final two games of the season, dropping 20 and 14 points, respectively. Goudelock played just six minutes in the postseason, however, and is unlikely to have any fantasy value next season. Apr 29 - 4:05 PM

Andrew Goudelock scored a career-high 20 points with one board, one assist, three steals and two 3-pointers on 8-of-17 shooting against the Spurs on Friday.

He's known as a shooter, but the reigning D-League MVP mixed up his offensive attack with three buckets in the paint, three mid-range jumpers and two triples. It's laughable that the Lakers are rolling with one of the most esoteric backcourts in their history and they really had no shot at stopping Tony Parker and Co. tonight. They will try and avoid the sweep on Sunday.

Lakers sign G Andrew Goudelock.

Goudelock will return to the Lakers after being waived before the 2012/13 season began. He averaged 4.4 points during his rookie season with the team last year. He will be eligible for the playoffs if the Lakers make it.

The Lakers are close to signing Andrew Goudelock.

Goudelock was on a plane from Houston to Los Angeles and all signs point to the Lakers having him on their roster for Wednesday's game. It's unclear whether he'll play on Sunday.

Lakers waive Andrew Goudelock.

Goudelock's chances of making the roster were severely cut once the Lakers signed Jodie Meeks. He's a capable shooter at the NBA level, but he'll need to add some more diversity to his game to crack an NBA rotation.

The Los Angeles Times believes that both Andrew Goudelock and rookie Darius Johnson-Odom are "longshots" to make the roster.

Goudelock isn't a point guard and doesn't have the size to play significant minutes at SG, so this isn't entirely surprising. Johnson-Odom has great athleticism, but he was a second-round pick and the Lakers' massive payroll is playing against both guys as each is on a non-guaranteed deal. Robert Sacre appears to be the favorite for the final spot.

Andrew Goudelock said that he's lost more than 10 lbs during the offseason.

Goudelock's weight is down from 215 to 203 lbs, and it's due to changes in his diet as well as in his workout routine. "It'll make me a little bit quicker and it'll make me a little bit more explosive," he said. Goudelock wants to check in at 195 lbs when training camp begins. The Lakers won't decide on Goudelock's contract option for next season until after summer league. GM Mitch Kupchak wants to see improvement in Goudelock's defense and point guard skills.

Andrew Goudelock did not play in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Spurs due to a migraine.

Mike Brown emptied his bench with less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter, but Goudelock didn't get into action due to the migraine. "I felt terrible," he said. The rookie has played in one game since March 21 and is not on the fantasy radar.

Andrew Goudelock has fallen out of the rotation because of defensive matchups.

Mike Brown has a hard time finding the right matchup for the 6'3" Goudelock at shooting guard, which isn't exactly surprising. The College of Charleston product should be firmly entrenched on the waiver wire.

Andrew Goudelock scored 13 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 6-of-10 shots from the field (including a three) with two rebounds and a steal in 20 minutes.

Owners in really deep leagues should keep one eye on Goudelock to see if he can keep it up, as he has been given a so-called green light. He's a nice young player, but color us skeptical that he can provide consistent value.

Rookie Andrew Goudelock hit 5-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for 13 points and one assist in 23 minutes after being hospitalized for dehydration.

He scored 14 on Wednesday, so owners in extremely deep leagues might want to give him a look.

Lakers guard Andrew Goudelock was hospitalized for dehydration on Friday, but has been cleared to play Saturday against the Bucks.

He shouldn't see many minutes in Milwaukee tonight, but is coming off the best game of his career, when he had 14 points in 20 minutes on Wednesday.

Goudelock had the fourth-highest scoring average in the NCAA Division I last year (23.7 ppg). He's a sweet shooter but isn't likely to get many minutes for the Lakers.

Lakers' second-round draft pick Andrew Goudelock has turned down an offer to play for the Spanish team Lucentum Alicante.

Goudelock could still decide to play in Europe, but it's believed that he would prefer not to commit to playing overseas just yet.

Updating a previous item, second-round pick Andrew Goudelock is "strongly considering" offers in both Germany and Spain.

Both potential deals would have an out clause, which is what Goudelock has been angling for all along. It wouldn't be surprising to see him sign in an effort to start making some money in his professional career, but the out clause was though to be pivotal for him, as he realizes that he has a great chance of sticking with the Lakers. He's got a fantastic perimeter attack, but likely won't garner enough playing time to be relevant in fantasy.
