Jon Leuer was a DNP-CD on Thursday against the Rockets.
Coach Earl Watson said he wants clearer roles, so Leuer is likely going to stay out of the rotation. He's only played four minutes in the last three games combined. Feb 4 - 11:41 PM

Date:

Jon Leuer did not score in 12 minutes against the Knicks on Friday with four rebounds.

He was pretty aggressive on the glass, so the bad line didn't look like it was health related. Leuer is kind of buried right now, so he's an obvious cut candidate.
Jan 29 - 10:04 PM

Jon Leuer (back) will play against the Knicks on Friday.

He will come off the bench with Alex Len expected to start at power forward again. There's a pretty good chance that either Leuer, Mirza Teletovic or Markieff Morris get a DNP-CD this week. Leuer isn't a pickup.
Jan 29 - 3:52 PM

Jon Leuer (back) is probable to play Friday vs. the Knicks.

Leuer has spent the past five games on the sidelines after injuring his back dunking during a pregame warmup, but it sounds like he's ready to get back on the court for Friday's game. Leuer isn't a great guy to own in most formats, but his return could cut into Alex Len's minutes.
Jan 28 - 4:07 PM

Jon Leuer (back) will not play against the Cavs on Wednesday.

The Suns have played Alex Len 73 minutes at power forward in the last three games, so they found their answer with Leuer out. Len should be owned in all leagues right now while Leuer can be dropped.
Jan 27 - 4:16 PM

Jon Leuer (back) will miss Tuesday's game vs. the 76ers.

He was never really expected to play, and Tuesday will mark his fourth consecutive game on the sidelines. Leuer wasn't playing very well before the injury, so there's not much reason to hold onto him in most settings. Alex Len will start at power forward tonight, and is someone to consider in DFS after playing 35 minutes in his previous two outings.
Jan 26 - 6:10 PM

Jon Leuer (back) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game vs. the 76ers.

Leuer is being listed as doubtful, but he was feeling better while going through shootaround and will now test his back to see how he handles contact while going through his pregame workout. However, even if he's able to play, it will likely be in a very limited capacity after spending the past three games on the sidelines, so he's not a great option in most leagues.
Jan 26 - 3:21 PM

Jon Leuer (back) is doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. the 76ers.

Markieff Morris (shoulder) is probable, so Leuer's role when he returns could be in jeopardy. It also doesn't help that Alex Len has looked really good at power forward. Leave Leuer on the wire.
Jan 25 - 11:12 PM

Jon Leuer (back) is questionable to play against the 76ers on Tuesday.

He is likely closer to doubtful for this game and his value has really fallen off a cliff. Leuer can be dropped in most leagues right now. Alex Len and Mirza Teletovic will likely get most of the power forward minutes.
Jan 25 - 3:55 PM

Jon Leuer (back) will not play against the Hawks on Saturday.

This will be his third game out and he's losing value fast as a drop candidate. Markieff Morris (shoulder) is still questionable and appears to have a better chance than Mirza Teletovic (ankle) for tonight. If all three can't go, Alex Len will play more power forward again along with Cory Jefferson.
Jan 23 - 4:11 PM

Jon Leuer (back) is doubtful to play Saturday vs. the Hawks.

Leuer has missed the past two games, and it seems likely that that number will hit three come Saturday. Mirza Teletovic (ankle) and Markieff Morris (shoulder) are also questionable to play, so we could be seeing a lot of Alex Len on Saturday.
Jan 22 - 8:49 PM

Jon Leuer (back) will not play against the Spurs on Thursday.

He suffered his injury in warmups on Tuesday and is likely the most hurt guy of the bunch tonight. Leuer lost a lot of minutes this past week, so he's not a great hold right now.
Jan 21 - 9:00 PM

Jon Leuer (back) is doubtful to play Thursday vs. the Spurs.

With Markieff Morris (shoulder), Mirza Teletovic (ankle), and T.J. Warren (knee) all questionable for Thursday's game, head coach Jeff Hornacek is going to have to get creative with his rotations. If none of those guys can play, it will likely be P.J. Tucker spending a lot of time at the four-spot, with guys like Sonny Weems, Archie Goodwin and newly signed Cory Jefferson having the opportunity for some extended run. Stay tuned.

Jon Leuer (back) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice.

He was a late scratch on Tuesday due to his back tightening up in warmups. Leuer's minutes were already on the decline after playing just 17.0 minutes per game in his previous three games. His owners should probably look for other options right now.
Jan 20 - 2:36 PM

Jon Leuer (back) is a late scratch for Tuesday's game vs. the Pacers.

The Suns didn't rule him out until tip-off and he wasn't on the injury report, so his back must have flared up on him during warmups. He is averaging 20.2 minutes over his last five games, So Alex Len (hand) may have to step up for the Suns tonight.
