Bojan Bogdanovic said he hopes he can be a starter with the Pacers next season.
"I hope that I will be the starter and that I’ll play important minutes," Bogdanovic said. "I don’t want to be in the NBA just to be here. I want to play and I think the Pacers are the right move and place for me." Head coach Nate McMillan said that Bogdanovic will have to earn his spot in the starting five over the course of training camp, but with Glenn Robinson being the only other small forward on the roster, the odds are in Bogdanovic's favor of securing a role in the starting five in Indiana. Bojan Bogdanovic has agreed to a two-year, $21 million deal with the Pacers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

The Pacers have some money to throw around and they'll add the newly unrestricted free agent -- the Wizards withdrew their qualifying offer just minutes ago. It's actually a good opportunity for Bogdanovic and he has a good chance to start on the wing next to Victor Oladipo. Bogdanovic gives the Pacers some much-needed spacing in their offense, but he won't be doing much else besides shooting.

The Wizards have withdrawn their qualifying offer to restricted free agent Bojan Bogdanovic, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com.

There was some hope the Wizards could do a sign-and-trade deal involving Bogie, but that won't happen now. Bogdanovic has received some reported interest from the Kings, Nuggets and Hawks, so it's possible something happens there in the next couple days. The former Net would likely be coming off the bench next season.
Jul 7 - 2:34 PM

The Wizards are reportedly looking to execute a sign-and-trade deal involving Bojan Bogdanovic.

Washington will likely be matching Brooklyn's max-offer sheet for Otto Porter, so they just can't realistically retain Bogdanovic given that he's seeking a deal that would start at $16 million annually. The Wizards are reportedly seeking a traded player exception in the sign-and-trade deal, so it'll be interesting to see how this situation plays out. Thus far, the Kings, Nuggets and Hawks have all been linked to Bogdanovic.
Jul 5 - 11:15 AM

Restricted free agent Bojan Bogdanovic reportedly wants a three- or four-year contract worth roughly $16 million per season.

The sharp-shooting swingman is in his prime at 28 years old, and it makes sense for him to maximize his value, but that's a steep asking price. He's never averaged more than 13.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists or 0.4 steals per game, all of which came last season, so no matter his destination he's a dubious fantasy asset. The Kings, Nuggets and Hawks all reportedly have interest in him, but Washington can match any offer for their restricted FA.
Jul 3 - 2:18 AM

Restricted free agent Bojan Bogdanovic is receiving "serious interest" from the Kings, Nuggets, Hawks, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN.

Before we get to the details on this, we have to say we're rooting for the Kings to get him so Bojan Bogdanovic and Bogdan Bogdanovic can be on the same team -- they are not related, by the way. Bogie is a restricted free agent, but it could be tough for the Wizards to bring him back, assuming they are in fact going to match on Otto Porter.
Jul 1 - 6:00 PM

The Wizards have reportedly extended a qualifying offer to Bojan Bogdanovic.

This means Bogdanovic will become a restricted free agent along with Otto Porter. The Wizards will prioritize re-signing Porter, so Bogdanovic will only be back in Washington if his price doesn't get out of hand. After his mid-season trade from Brooklyn, Bogdanovic averaged 12.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.7 triples.

Candace Buckner of the Washington Post said the Wizards "may not prioritize" keeping Bojan Bogdanovic if he can "command a big payday elsewhere."

The Wizards gave up their 2017 first-round pick in order to acquire Bogdanovic, but their biggest priority is to re-sign Otto Porter first. Both players are restricted free agents, but Porter is expected to receive max contract offers which limits Washington's financial flexibility. Bogdanovic averaged 12.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.7 triples following his trade from the Nets and shouldn't have any problem landing a sizable contract this summer.
May 18 - 10:43 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic (illness) scored five points on 1-of-2 shooting with one rebound in 16 minutes in Monday's Game 7 loss to Boston.

Bogdanovic was the only bench player to score for Washington and everyone else was 0-of-3 from the field. The second unit has been Washington's biggest weakness all season, so expect that to be a priority this summer after they try to lock up Otto Porter to a new deal.
May 15 - 11:56 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (illness) will play on Monday vs. the Celtics in Game 7.

According to coach Scott Brooks, everyone on the Wizards is available. Bogdanovic has been battling the flu for a few days and sat out of Saturday's practice, but expect him to see his normal role with minutes in the high teens or low 20s.
May 15 - 12:03 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (illness) did not practice on Saturday.

It's just some rest after he had a bad case of the flu on Friday. Bogdanovic was still able to play 17 minutes in Game 6, so he should be in that neighborhood again for Monday.
May 13 - 3:49 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic played through an illness on Friday with four points and four rebounds in 17 minutes.

No flu game for Bogie here, but credit to him for going out there. Bogdanovic should be close to 100 percent for Monday.
May 12 - 11:15 PM

Coach Scott Brooks said Bojan Bogdanovic (illness) will play in Game 6 on Friday.

He is under the weather and was sent home from shootaround this morning. The Celtics wore all black to this game and it was a hot topic for Brooks, so he had plenty of jokes about it. "I heard [Bojan] is wearing black," Brooks said. We could get a Bogie flu game, but he may be limited as well.
May 12 - 6:31 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (illness) has a bad case of the flu and intends to play in Game 6 on Friday.

This is the first we've heard of the illness, but hearing a "bad case" doesn't sound promising about Bogdanovic being 100 percent. Kelly Oubre will likely be getting more cheers at home tonight, so expect him to get some extra run. Otto Porter may play slightly more, as well.
May 12 - 5:53 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic cooled off during the Wizards' Game 5 loss on Wednesday, making 1-of-7 shots for six points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal.

The supporting stats were unexpected, but Bogdanovic's primary role is to score for the second unit. His home vs. away splits in the semifinals are representative of this series as a whole -- he's averaging 16.0 points on 58.0 percent shooting in two home victories, but just 5.3 points on 28.6 percent shooting in three losses at Boston. The good news for Washington is that they head home for Game 6 on Friday.
