Bojan Bogdanovic was benched in favor of Sergey Karasev on Wednesday and missed all five of his shots, failing to score in just 17 minutes.
This is not good news, especially since Mirza Teletovic was out with a hip injury. Bogdanovic will likely become relevant again at some point, but if the Nets are going to keep rolling with Karasev, Bogdanovic should probably become waiver-wire fodder until he turns it around. Dec 10 - 11:43 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic will come off the Nets' bench on Wednesday, with Sergey Karasev taking his place in the starting lineup.

The Nets' 25-year-old rookie has started all 19 games to begin the season, but coach Lionel Hollins decided to mix things up with his team very short-handed on Wednesday. This may be a temporary change in the absence of Joe Johnson (flu), Mirza Teletovic (hip) and Brook Lopez (back), though most fantasy owners won't be bothered if Bogdanovic permanently loses the starting gig -- he's averaging just 9.4 points, 1.3 triples and 3.0 rebounds with negligible defensive stats as a starter.
Dec 10 - 6:58 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic had 14 points, eight rebounds and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's win over the Spurs.

He's hit double digits in three straight games, averaging 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.8 3-pointers over his last five. Those aren't great numbers and he was outshined by Mirza Teletovic tonight, who started for Kevin Garnett (rest) and blew up for 26 points, 15 rebounds and five 3-pointers.
Dec 4 - 12:13 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic got his shot back on track on Sunday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-12 shooting, with five rebounds, two assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, and one turnover.

51.3 percent of Bogdanovic's shots come from 3-point range, and because he doesn't know how to score in another way, he's going to be a very streaky player. He's currently averaging 9.6 points and 1.4 three-pointers per game on 41.9 percent shooting, so he can be viewed as a 3-point specialist in deeper leagues. However, he does not belong on a roster in standard leagues.
Nov 30 - 7:36 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic is in a major shooting slump and has gone 2-of-17 from the field and 1-of-9 from 3-point range over his last three games.

Those are brutal numbers and the young rookie from Croatia has been wildly inconsistent this season. "It’s tough, but I have to [fight through] this," Bogdanovic said after Saturday’s practice. "The guys are trying to help me. … This is a different style than Europe, so I’m trying to get it." We expect Bogdanovic to get better as the year progresses, but he is too unreliable to be counted on in all but the deepest of leagues.
Nov 30 - 9:58 AM

Lionel Hollins wants Bojan Bogdanovic to stop settling for long jumpers, and start attacking the basket more.

"He’s in a slump," said Hollins. "He isn’t making shots, and he doesn’t get to the free throw line, he doesn’t get to the basket, so he’s counting on long shots. And when you miss them, you go 0-fer. All I know is you gotta get to the free throw line, you gotta be tougher and you can’t just stand out there and count on making shots all the time." Bogdanovic has missed all of his shot attempts over the past two games, and his limited role in the Nets' offense makes him more of a deep league play.
Nov 23 - 5:40 PM

Bojan Boganovic missed all seven shots from the field for two points with two rebounds, one assists and no turnovers.

He is awful on the road and it's so bad that his owners in deeper leagues should just sit him down. Bogdanovic is still worth owning in some formats, though.
Nov 23 - 1:45 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic missed all five of his field goal attempts and finished with just three points over 24 minutes in Friday's win.

Bogdan had crept into the 12-team standard league discussion but he's still too much of a secondary option in Brooklyn for our tastes. After he shakes off this game, he'll be on the bubble in 14-team leagues.
Nov 22 - 12:29 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic played a career-high 47 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday with 19 points, seven rebounds and four 3-pointers.

He attempted 11 shots from beyond the arc and was 7-of-16 from the field overall. Bogdanovic is starting to figure the NBA game out and he's now turned in two good games in a row. He's still not doing much outside of scoring, so the upside isn't really there for owners in standard leagues.
Nov 20 - 12:36 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting (including four treys) with three rebounds and one steal over 41 minutes on Monday against the Heat.

Bogdanovic has crept onto the standard league radar with averages of 30.5 minutes, 10.5 points, 1.5 threes and some friendly percentages to offset his lack of pop in other categories. 12-team owners in need of low-end production should give him a look.
Nov 18 - 12:00 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic played 37 minutes against the Warriors on Thursday with nine points, three rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer.

He's been fairly quiet with the exception of a couple big games, but the 3-pointers have buoyed his value. Fantasy owners can probably leave him on the wire until he has a breakout game.
Nov 14 - 1:37 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 14 points against the Suns on Wednesday with two rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

It was a mild letdown from his 22-point gem on Sunday, but it's still the kind of line that shouldn't send his owners running for the hills. Bogdanovic should get better as the year goes along, so he's an option at the end of a standard league bench.
Nov 13 - 1:05 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic had his best game as a pro on Sunday, scoring 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, two 3-pointers, one assist, and two steals.

Bojan will need to be efficient to get his stats as he's only averaging 7.6 FGA per game. He's been hit-or-miss so far this season, and remains more of a deep league asset for owners seeking some 3-point shooting with an occasional scoring outburst.
Nov 9 - 6:29 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 12 points in 27 minutes against the Thunder during a 116-85 win, adding two rebounds, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

He only scored 4.5 points per game in the first two, including a 1-of-7 from the field dud in the opener. Bogdanovic isn't likely going to average double-digit shot attempts while the Nets are healthy, which means he's not worth owning in most formats.
Nov 3 - 11:21 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic is earning coach Lionel Hollins's trust, despite poor showings from the rookie.

He went 1-of-7 from the field and missed all four of his 3-pointers in 25 minutes, to finish with just two points. However, coach Hollins kept going back to him, including in the fourth quarter with the game in doubt. There is going to be a steep learing curve for Bogdanovic, but owners in deep leagues should keep an eye on him in case he turns it on.
