Kenny Atkinson said he's debating between starting Joe Harris or Bojan Bogdanovic for Wednesday's regular-season opener vs. Boston with Randy Foye (hamstring) unavailable.
It would be surprising if Atkinson elected to go with Harris over Bogdanovic, but even if Bogdanovic doesn't start, he's sure to see plenty of minutes with Foye on the sidelines. Go ahead and get him active if you're looking for some points and triples. Oct 26 - 11:55 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic came off the bench yet again on Thursday, finishing with 12 points, two rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 23 minutes.

One of the big surprises this month is Bogdanovic did not make a single start in the preseason. While coach Kenny Atkinson did say he wanted to take it easy on him because of the Olympics, so many new pieces on this team makes it hard to believe he would take it to this extreme. Bogey looked like a lock to start, but maybe he launches off the bench. He should still score a ton in the second unit.
Oct 20 - 11:05 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 12 points off the bench with two rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 22 minutes vs. the Celtics on Monday.

Coach Atkinson hasn't committed to a starting lineup for opening night, but he said he's expecting a "big year" from the 27-year-old wing. "I think he’s ready, doing well in practice, shooting the ball well. We’re pushing him to defend better and rebound better." Atkinson added that the reason Bogdanovic's workload has been so limited is because he had a long summer with the Croatian national team. He's still worth a look late if you need points and treys.

Kenny Atkinson said he's still unsure if Bojan Bogdanovic will be a starter this season.

Atkinson has brought Bogdanovic off the bench in every single preseason game thus far, but he still has two preseason games to experiment with his starting five. It looks like the position battle between Randy Foye and Bogdanovic is very real, and it does make some sense to bring Bogdanovic off the bench given Brooklyn's lack of scoring options in the second unit. Regardless of how this shakes out, Bogdanovic is the preferable late-round target for those seeking some points and triples.
Oct 16 - 2:43 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic came off the bench again on Thursday, finishing with 11 points, one rebound, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 16 minutes.

It's still a little surprising to see him come off the bench in every preseason game. Bogdanovic should still be considered as a heavy favorite to start and coach Kenny Atkinson said he's still evaluating the starting lineup. After scoring 15.1 points per game after the break last year, Bogdanovic should have a chance to score in the upper teens. He's a decent late pick to add some scoring.
Oct 13 - 11:01 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 13 points vs. the Heat on Tuesday with one rebound, one assist, one steal and three treys in 20 minutes.

He has come off the bench in two games and picked up a maintenance day as well, but it's possible that the Nets are bringing him along slowly after a long summer with his national team. We still think he's the favorite to start next to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and is worth a look late in drafts if you're targeting points and treys.
Oct 11 - 10:26 PM

Updating a previous report, Bojan Bogdanovic will come off the bench for Tuesday's preseason game against the Heat.

Kenny Atkinson initially said that Bogdanovic would get that start sans Randy Foye, but he's since changed course and will be giving Joe Harris the opportunity to run with the starting unit. It's still early, but it seems like Atkinson may be considering bringing Bogdanovic off the bench to serve as the team's sixth man, with Foye operating as the starting two. It'll be interesting to watch this position battle play out over the course of the preseason.
Oct 11 - 6:41 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic and Justin Hamilton will start Tuesday vs. the Heat with both Randy Foye (rest) and Brook Lopez (rest) getting the night off.

Bogdanovic should be able to get close to the 20-minute mark tonight sans Foye, and he'll have free range to fire away from deep. Coach Kenny Atkinson has praised Hamilton throughout training camp, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do tonight with Lopez on the sidelines. Bogdanovic can be viewed as a late-round flier, but Hamilton shouldn't be drafted anywhere.

Bojan Bogdanovic scored three points off the bench with two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 12 minutes on Saturday.

There's no need to worry about Bogdanovic coming off the bench because Jeremy Lin was out anyway. He's fully expected to be the main 3-pointers guy to help Lin operate with more space on pick-and-rolls with Brook Lopez. Bogey should score in the upper teens, but won't do much outside of the scoring stats.
Oct 8 - 10:38 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic will be active for Saturday's game vs. the Knicks.

Bogdanovic was given the night off on Thursday, but we should get a good look at him in this one. He's expected to start on the wings next to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and should be a nice source of 3-pointers and points this season. If the Olympics were any indication, Bogdanovic could have a big year. Isaiah Whitehead is also expected to be active tonight.
Oct 8 - 11:54 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic did not play on Thursday night.

It's just a night off for the projected starting wing. Bogdanovic was going to see limited minutes tonight, so it was just a little more limited than expected. He has a good chance to score in the upper teens as the Nets' trigger man from deep.
Oct 6 - 10:45 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic will play limited minutes during Thursday's preseason game against the Pistons.

Brooklyn continues to ease Bogdanovic into things after a busy offseason, but there won't be any sort of minutes restrictions once the regular season is underway. Interestingly, Kenny Atkinson did imply that Randy Foye could open the year as Brooklyn's starting two-guard, so he may be considering deploying Bogdanovic as a sixth man. If Atkinson elects to bring Bogdanovic off the bench, his value will be limited to deeper leagues.
Oct 6 - 6:19 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic went through his first scrimmage with the Nets on Tuesday.

Bogdanovic had himself a busy summer, suiting up for 20 games for Team Croatia and leading the Olympics in scoring with 25.3 points a game, so the Nets have been slowly easing him back into things at training camp. He'll open up the year as Brooklyn's unquestioned starting small forward, and he'll be someone to consider towards the later rounds for those seeking some production in points and triples.
Oct 4 - 5:04 PM

Sean Marks implied Bojan Bogdanovic could have a lighter workload during training camp after he played in 20 games for Team Croatia this summer.

"He’s chomping at the bit to get out there, but he’s put in some hard yards this summer, so it’ll be bringing him along slowly," Marks said. "It’s almost that you have to hold him back a little bit because it’s a grind in the season and you’ve already put in your training camp hours." Bogdanovic led the Olympics in scoring with 25.3 points a night in Rio, and he should get a healthy heaping of minutes this season as Brooklyn's starting small forward. He's worth a look late for those seeking some scoring and 3-point shooting.

Bojan Bogdanovic thinks the Nets can make the playoffs in 2016-17.

While Bogdanovic has some high hopes for a rebuilding Nets franchise, we applaud his optimism. "I think we can,’’ Bogdanovic said of the team's postseason chances. "They can write what they want. But we’re going to work hard to give it our best. When we get in a game, we have a chance to beat anybody. It’s going to be tough, but if we play like we practice, we have a chance." Bojan should see plenty of minutes for the Nets this season and is worth a look at the end of fantasy drafts.
