Bojan Bogdanovic (sore right ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, and he will not travel with the team for Thursday's preseason matchup with the Pistons.
This is Bogdanovic's second consecutive day of missing practice, although his absence seems to be more precautionary than anything else. He should be good to go by the time the regular-season comes around, and as Brooklyn's starting two-guard, he warrants a late-round selection on draft day. Oct 7 - 1:52 PM

Coach Lionel Hollins said Bojan Bogdanovic needs to be "more aggressive."

"He has a high skill set," Hollins said. "Utilize it consistently. That’s all." He was very good around the rim last year with a 66.3 percentage from that range. Bogdanovic only had 35 "driving" shots last year, so look for the Nets to count on that more. He has some upside and is worth a pick late, especially with Markel Brown (abdomen) out.

Bojan Bogdanovic is currently the favorite to start at SG for the Nets, according to head coach Lionel Hollins.

"I think those five guys are basically the core to get the first shot," said Hollins, referring to Bogdanovic, Jarrett Jack, Joe Johnson, Thad Young and Brook Lopez. "If it’s not the group that can bring success, then we’ll split up and go whatever way that’s necessary." Bogdanovic shot 35.5 percent from deep last season and his 3-point proficiency, combined with a starting gig, is enough to put him on the map in standard leagues.

Nets head coach Lionel Hollins said he wants to see more consistency out of Bojan Bogdanovic.

Hollins recently spoke of Bogdanovic as one of the Nets core players, but he'd still like to see more consistent performances out of the 26-year-old. While he isn't going to win fantasy leagues for owners, Bogdanovic has a good shot at starting at shooting guard for the Nets and is worth a late-round flier.
Sep 24 - 1:45 PM

Lionel Hollins listed Bojan Bogdanovic as one of the Nets' core players during a recent interview, implying that he'll be the starting shooting guard on opening-night.

In addition to Bogdanovic, Hollins mentioned Jarrett Jack, Joe Johnson, Thaddeus Young and Brook Lopez as the team's core group of players, so that will more than likely be what the Nets' starting lineup looks like when their regular-season kicks off on October 28. Bogdanovic could be given some more responsibilities on offense with Deron Williams now in Dallas, so he'll be worth a late-round selection on draft day.

Bojan Bogdanovic had another disappointing game in a loss to the Czech Republic on Sunday, scoring just 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting.

Croatia has been eliminated from the tournament and it didn't help that Bogdanovic shot just 31.5 percent from the field. To be fair, Bogdanovic did have a concussion just a week ago, so fantasy owners shouldn't read too much into his poor showing at Eurobasket. He is projected to start at shooting guard on a Nets team that could desperately use his scoring punch, so he is worth a look in the later rounds of deep leagues.
Sep 13 - 10:45 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic couldn't get anything to drop during Thursday's loss to Georgia, going just 1-of-10 from the field for seven points, five rebounds, four assists and two turnovers over 31 minutes.

Bojan has now shot a combined 5-of-24 from the field over the past two games for Croatia, and one has to wonder if he has truly recovered from the concussion that he sustained on September 5 vs. Slovenia. Unlike the NBA, FIBA does not have an official concussion protocol, and given Bojan's struggles partnered with the fact that he only missed one game after being diagnosed, it's fair to wonder if he is indeed 100 percent. Hopefully this is nothing more than a shooting slump, so we'll see if he can bust out of it during Croatia's next game on Sunday.
Sep 10 - 2:58 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (concussion) returned from a one-game absence on Tuesday, scoring 13 points on 4-of-7 shooting, with six rebounds, three assists, one 3-pointer and one steal over 23 minutes.

If Bogdanovic is named a starter for the Nets, he'll be worth a late-round selection in deep leagues for owners seeking some 3-point shooting.
Sep 8 - 5:03 PM

Updating a previous report, Bojan Bogdanovic (concussion) will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game vs. FYR of Macedonia.

It appears that Bogdanovic is officially over his concussion, so that will not be an issue that lingers into training camp. Currently Bojan is projected to be the starting shooting guard for the Nets on opening-night, although he still won't be worth much more than a late-round selection in deep leagues after averaging just 9.0 points and 1.2 three-pointers during his rookie season.
Sep 8 - 4:01 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (concussion) will not play against FYR of Macedonia at EuroBasket on Tuesday.

Bogdanovic is still listed as day-to-day after suffering a concussion against Slovenia and will miss his second consecutive game on Tuesday. There is growing concern that Bogdanovic will not play again at EuroBasket, but that might be a better thing for the 26-year-old as the NBA season nears. We'll keep his status updated, but Bogdanovic can be left undrafted in standard fantasy leagues.

Bojan Bogdanovic (concussion) will not play vs. Greece on Sunday.

The Nets' swingman said that he had a "strong" desire to play for his country, but doctors wisely overruled him. Bogdanovic already overcame an ankle injury suffered during international play, and the Nets and the Croatian national team are both hoping that his concussions symptoms won't linger. We'll let you know when he's back on the court.
Sep 6 - 2:55 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (concussion) said that his desire to play against Greece on Sunday is "strong."

"Doctors say I need to rest tonight but my desire to play against Greece is strong. We'll see," Bogdanovic tweeted. He suffered a concussion on Saturday, so it would be shocking to see him suit up against Greece. The Nets probably won't be too happy about this, but it will be interesting to see if he takes the smart approach and sits out. We will update his status when we know more.

Bojan Bogdanovic has a concussion and will not play against Greece,

He is likely to start on the wing next to Joe Johnson and should get some shots on the perimeter. He's still only a late-round pick in most formats.
Sep 5 - 6:56 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic (ankle) was spotted going through some shooting drills on Tuesday, and he's on schedule to play in Croatia's first game of the EuroBasket tournament on Saturday vs. Slovenia.

Bogdanovic went down with an ankle injury during one of Croatia's exhibition games against Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 27, and then sat out Croatia's next exhibition game as a precaution. However, it sounds like his ankle injury was of the minor variety, and this isn't likely to be an issue that lingers into training camp. Bogdanovic has said that he's expecting a larger role with the Nets this upcoming season, so he could be worth a late-round selection on draft day.

Sep 1 - 4:20 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic said that his ankle is swollen and that he is receiving treatment, but he also said that he should be good in a couple of days.

This is obviously great news and Bogdanovic should be ready to return the court in no time. The Nets have some unanswered questions at shooting guard, but Bogdanovic has an excellent chance to start and should see plenty of minutes this season. As always, we will pass along any updates on his ankle.
