Nets owners Mikhail Prokhorov said that he has "high expectations" for Bojan Bogdanovic this season.
"We also have high expectations for Bojan Bogdanovic, who showed us real flashes of brilliance in his first year on the Nets," Prokhorov said in a video released to fans. Bogdanovic came alive after the All-Star break last season with averages of 11.6 points, 2.8 boards, 1.1 assists and 1.6 3-pointers in 25.7 minutes per game, so there is some potential here. The shooting guard position is wide open in Brooklyn, and Bogdanovic could potentially win the starting slot over Markel Brown and Wayne Ellington. We will obviously be watching this situation closely at training camp. Jul 29 - 9:29 AM

The Nets reportedly never offered Bojan Bogdanovic in any draft day deals.

It was reported on draft night that the Nets were dangling Bogdanovic in trades to move up in the draft, but that did not come to fruition. He had an up-and-down rookie year, compiling averages of 9.0 points and 1.2 three-pointers per game. He's not a primary component of the offense, so he won't be much more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues next season.

The Nets are reportedly dangling Bojan Bogdanovic in trade talks to see if they can move up in the 2015 NBA draft.

The Nets currently own the No. 29 overall selection in the draft, and after trying to move up in the draft by offering Mason Plumlee as a trade chip to no avail, they now are reportedly seeing what they can get for Bogdanovic. The Nets are reportedly looking for a point guard to eventually replace Deron Williams.

Bojan Bogdanovic said that he enjoys playing in the NBA now that he's experienced it.

Imagine that? "Honestly, before arriving I was not a big fan of the NBA, that's why I had decided to stay in Europe, in Fenerbahce," he said. "But when I arrived, I saw that it was really another world, a world unto itself, everything is arranged differently. I can say that I have now become a fan of the NBA." Bogdanovic will be looking to take another step forward in his sophomore NBA season, and he could be looking at a much larger role if Joe Johnson and his expiring contract are traded.

Bojan Bogdanovic is hopeful that he is not traded this summer.

"I don’t know what team management is planning, but I know trades are normal thing and that in packages the stars go more players," he said. Bogdanovic also admitted to being out of his mind when he was benched earlier in the season because he's never been in that situation. Barring something unexpected, the Nets are expected to hang onto BB this offseason.

May 11 - 9:04 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic was fantastic on both ends against the Hawks on Saturday with 19 points, three rebounds, one assist, three steals and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

He guarded Kyle Korver and did a great job on him to keep Korver at just 1-of-8 from the field. Bogdanovic seemed to always have one eye on Korver and rarely helped on defense, which worked out nicely. As for the offensive side, he had a very nice array of catch-and-shoot makes to go with some isolation scores. It's obvious he's going to be a key part of the rotation with a usage rate close to 20 -- it was 18.4 today.
Apr 25 - 6:04 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic will remain in the starting lineup for Game 3 against the Hawks on Saturday.

Bogdanovic replaced Markel Brown in the starting lineup for Game 2, but he failed to do much on the stat sheet, putting up just eight points, three rebounds, two assists and a block through 34 minutes of action. Brown picked up a DNP-CD during Wednesday's Game 2 loss, and nothing is suggesting he'll be back in the rotation during Game 3, rending him a negligible option in all fantasy formats.
Apr 24 - 1:05 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic took over as the starter against the Hawks during a Game 2 loss on Wednesday, scoring eight points with three rebounds, two assists, one block and two 3-pointers.

He played 34 minutes and was a bit of a letdown in his start. Bogdanovic saw his usage rate drop a little more than expected, so the increase in playing time wasn't able to offset that. He should have a better line in Game 3 on Saturday.
Apr 22 - 9:51 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic will start against the Hawks on Wednesday and Markel Brown will move to the bench.

The Nets are looking to add more punch to their starting unit and also make Kyle Korver guard someone on the defensive end. Bogdanovic was already playing minutes in the lower 30s, so he could get in the mid 30s neighborhood. Brown is very likely to see his minutes drop, so he'll probably play in the teens or even less. Give Bojan a look if you're looking for a risk-reward guy tonight.
Apr 22 - 5:33 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic started ahead of Markel Brown in the second half of Sunday's loss in Atlanta, but he shot 2-of-8 to finish with five points, four rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.

Bogdanovic was averaging 14.4 points and 2.2 triples on 52.6 percent shooting in April, but he struggled tonight due to a combination of poor shot selection and the Hawks' tight defense. Atlanta ranked seventh in the NBA in 3-point defense this season, holding opponents to 34.1 percent shooting beyond the arc, so Bogdanovic and the Nets have their work cut out for them.
Apr 19 - 8:29 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 28 points on 12-of-17 shooting to help the Nets clinch the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference in a win over the Magic on Wednesday.

He was absolutely on fire tonight and added three boards, two assists and four 3-pointers to his name in 34 minutes. Bogdanovic has been steadily earning the trust of head coach Lionel Hollins, while rookie Markel Brown struggled again with two points in 10 minutes. The Nets will play the Hawks in the first round of the playoffs, so they will probably want to go ahead and start focusing because Atlanta is the real deal this season.
Apr 16 - 12:54 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 17 points against the Bulls during a 113-86 loss on Monday with one rebound, two assists and three 3-pointers.

He's finishing his season on a high note. In his last five, Bogdanovic averaged 15.0 points, 3.2 boards, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.4 treys. He's worth owning in standard leagues and the Nets might want to start him based on how awful the starting unit was today.
Apr 14 - 1:00 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic started the second half of Sunday's game ahead of Markel Brown, finishing with nine points, one 3-pointer, four rebounds and one steal in 26 minutes of action.

Bogdanovic has emerged as a solid pickup in all formats with the Nets thin on the wings, earning extra minutes in the absence of Alan Anderson (ankle). His shot was off today (4-of-11 field goals) but his five-game averages reveal his decent upside -- 15.4 points, 2.4 triples, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals in under 31 minutes per game.
Apr 12 - 5:57 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic made all six attempts from beyond the arc against the Wizards on Friday, scoring 22 points with three rebounds, two assists and one steal.

He matched his career high for points and set a high for 3-pointers tonight. Bogdanovic has easily been the best wing for the Nets in the past week, so he should be able to log minutes around 30 as long as he's playing well. In his last four, he averaged 17.0 points, 2.8 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.8 treys on 56.5 percent from the field. He should be owned in all standard leagues.
Apr 10 - 10:53 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 15 points off the bench against the Blazers on Monday with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Markel Brown and Joe Johnson combined for 1-of-14 from the field tonight, so Bogdanovic was easily the best wing option for the Nets. He was in the doghouse at the end of March, but he's back to playing well again with a 19-point game coming on Saturday. Keep an eye on him in standard leagues.
