Bojan Bogdanovic (ankle) was spotted going through some shooting drills on Tuesday, and he's on schedule to play in Croatia's first game of the EuroBasket tournament on Saturday vs. Slovenia.
Bogdanovic went down with an ankle injury during one of Croatia's exhibition games against Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 27, and then sat out Croatia's next exhibition game as a precaution. However, it sounds like his ankle injury was of the minor variety, and this isn't likely to be an issue that lingers into training camp. Bogdanovic has said that he's expecting a larger role with the Nets this upcoming season, so he could be worth a late-round selection on draft day. Sep 1 - 4:20 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic said that his ankle is swollen and that he is receiving treatment, but he also said that he should be good in a couple of days.

This is obviously great news and Bogdanovic should be ready to return the court in no time. The Nets have some unanswered questions at shooting guard, but Bogdanovic has an excellent chance to start and should see plenty of minutes this season. As always, we will pass along any updates on his ankle.

Bojan Bogdanovic went down with an ankle injury during Croatia's friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday, and did not return to the game.

Bogdanovic was withheld from the rest of the contest as a precautionary measure, and while he's scheduled to undergo further testing, the injury is not believed to be serious. He will not play in Friday's friendly against Israel, but remains hopeful he'll be able to compete during EuroBasket, which begins on September 5.
Aug 27 - 2:08 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 21 points against Estonia during a 66-63 win.

He's having himself a strong run with the Croatian team. We've seen this movie before with Bogdanovic, so fantasy owners shouldn't overreact and expect a breakout. Still, the Nets have a lack of scorers, so the chance for him is there. Feel free to snap him up in the last couple rounds.
Aug 26 - 6:04 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic said that he is expecting to have a larger role with the Nets next season.

"I expect a whole new role, however not concerning the minutes spent on the court, but regarding ball allocation," wrote Bogdanovic in a Facebook post. "I expect to have the ball more often in my possession, and thus a better season than the previous one." Bogdanovic had an up-and-down season during his rookie year, compiling averages of 9.0 points and 1.2 three-pointers per game. However, it is possible that he's given some more ball handling responsibilities with Deron Williams no longer on the roster, and we'll be watching how he's utilized in Brooklyn's offense over the course of the preseason closely.

Nets owners Mikhail Prokhorov said that he has "high expectations" for Bojan Bogdanovic this season.

"We also have high expectations for Bojan Bogdanovic, who showed us real flashes of brilliance in his first year on the Nets," Prokhorov said in a video released to fans. Bogdanovic came alive after the All-Star break last season with averages of 11.6 points, 2.8 boards, 1.1 assists and 1.6 3-pointers in 25.7 minutes per game, so there is some potential here. The shooting guard position is wide open in Brooklyn, and Bogdanovic could potentially win the starting slot over Markel Brown and Wayne Ellington. We will obviously be watching this situation closely at training camp.

The Nets reportedly never offered Bojan Bogdanovic in any draft day deals.

It was reported on draft night that the Nets were dangling Bogdanovic in trades to move up in the draft, but that did not come to fruition. He had an up-and-down rookie year, compiling averages of 9.0 points and 1.2 three-pointers per game. He's not a primary component of the offense, so he won't be much more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues next season.

The Nets are reportedly dangling Bojan Bogdanovic in trade talks to see if they can move up in the 2015 NBA draft.

The Nets currently own the No. 29 overall selection in the draft, and after trying to move up in the draft by offering Mason Plumlee as a trade chip to no avail, they now are reportedly seeing what they can get for Bogdanovic. The Nets are reportedly looking for a point guard to eventually replace Deron Williams.
Jun 25 - 7:01 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic said that he enjoys playing in the NBA now that he's experienced it.

Imagine that? "Honestly, before arriving I was not a big fan of the NBA, that's why I had decided to stay in Europe, in Fenerbahce," he said. "But when I arrived, I saw that it was really another world, a world unto itself, everything is arranged differently. I can say that I have now become a fan of the NBA." Bogdanovic will be looking to take another step forward in his sophomore NBA season, and he could be looking at a much larger role if Joe Johnson and his expiring contract are traded.

Bojan Bogdanovic is hopeful that he is not traded this summer.

"I don’t know what team management is planning, but I know trades are normal thing and that in packages the stars go more players," he said. Bogdanovic also admitted to being out of his mind when he was benched earlier in the season because he's never been in that situation. Barring something unexpected, the Nets are expected to hang onto BB this offseason.

May 11 - 9:04 AM

Bojan Bogdanovic was fantastic on both ends against the Hawks on Saturday with 19 points, three rebounds, one assist, three steals and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

He guarded Kyle Korver and did a great job on him to keep Korver at just 1-of-8 from the field. Bogdanovic seemed to always have one eye on Korver and rarely helped on defense, which worked out nicely. As for the offensive side, he had a very nice array of catch-and-shoot makes to go with some isolation scores. It's obvious he's going to be a key part of the rotation with a usage rate close to 20 -- it was 18.4 today.
Apr 25 - 6:04 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic will remain in the starting lineup for Game 3 against the Hawks on Saturday.

Bogdanovic replaced Markel Brown in the starting lineup for Game 2, but he failed to do much on the stat sheet, putting up just eight points, three rebounds, two assists and a block through 34 minutes of action. Brown picked up a DNP-CD during Wednesday's Game 2 loss, and nothing is suggesting he'll be back in the rotation during Game 3, rending him a negligible option in all fantasy formats.
Apr 24 - 1:05 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic took over as the starter against the Hawks during a Game 2 loss on Wednesday, scoring eight points with three rebounds, two assists, one block and two 3-pointers.

He played 34 minutes and was a bit of a letdown in his start. Bogdanovic saw his usage rate drop a little more than expected, so the increase in playing time wasn't able to offset that. He should have a better line in Game 3 on Saturday.
Apr 22 - 9:51 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic will start against the Hawks on Wednesday and Markel Brown will move to the bench.

The Nets are looking to add more punch to their starting unit and also make Kyle Korver guard someone on the defensive end. Bogdanovic was already playing minutes in the lower 30s, so he could get in the mid 30s neighborhood. Brown is very likely to see his minutes drop, so he'll probably play in the teens or even less. Give Bojan a look if you're looking for a risk-reward guy tonight.
Apr 22 - 5:33 PM

Bojan Bogdanovic started ahead of Markel Brown in the second half of Sunday's loss in Atlanta, but he shot 2-of-8 to finish with five points, four rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.

Bogdanovic was averaging 14.4 points and 2.2 triples on 52.6 percent shooting in April, but he struggled tonight due to a combination of poor shot selection and the Hawks' tight defense. Atlanta ranked seventh in the NBA in 3-point defense this season, holding opponents to 34.1 percent shooting beyond the arc, so Bogdanovic and the Nets have their work cut out for them.
