E'Twaun Moore scored 21 points with five rebounds, four assists and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday.
He just can't be stopped right now and it's unusual to see he's made 21 two-point shots compared to 12 triples over his last four games. Moore isn't just taking treys these days, but he's getting plenty of easy looks thanks to all the attention DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis get. He's worth owning in standard leagues until he cools off, which he almost certainly will at some point. Dec 14 - 12:22 AM

Date:

E'Twaun Moore dropped a career-high 36 points on 15-of-20 shots, but it wasn't enough in Monday's 130-123 loss to Houston.

Moore was feeling it tonight, hitting six of the Pelicans' franchise record of 18 triples. He dished out three assists with three rebounds and three turnovers and was one of three Pelicans who played 41 or more minutes. While this was a fluky line in a shootout, Moore was having a strong December prior to Monday with averages of 16.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.2 triples in that span. He's worth owning while he's hot, especially with Anthony Davis (thigh) banged up.
Dec 11 - 10:50 PM

E'Twaun Moore scored a career-high 27 points against the Warriors on Monday, hitting 11-of-18 shots and 5-of-6 triples.

Moore added to his impressive night with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and five turnovers in a team-high 38 minutes. He's been on a heater lately with averages of 17.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 3.4 triples over his last five games, as the Pelicans need his offense with Anthony Davis (thigh) on the shelf. Davis is day-to-day, but the Pelicans have three more games this week which puts Moore firmly on the radar as a short-term pickup.
Dec 4 - 11:11 PM

E'Twaun Moore finished with 19 points, a rebound and an assist across 35 minutes in Saturday's 123-116 win at Portland.

The Pelicans are going to need a secondary and tertiary scoring option behind DeMarcus Cousins with Anthony Davis (pelvis) on the shelf, and Moore stepped up and looked good. He hit 6-of-7 from the field, including a perfect 4-of-4 from behind the arc, although he didn't do much else for fantasy owners in deeper leagues.
Dec 3 - 1:05 AM

E'Twaun Moore scored 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting Saturday, to go with four 3-pointers, one rebound and two turnovers in 29 minutes.

Dante Cunningham exited Saturday’s game with a knee injury and did not return, and if this turns out to be an issue that forces him to miss time, Moore could see a slight uptick in minutes. That said, he’s really nothing more than a low-end 3-point specialist in deep leagues.
Nov 25 - 11:39 PM

E'Twaun Moore started on Monday, sending Dante Cunningham back to the bench against a small Thunder lineup, and had 12 points, two steals and a 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

Moore has had some nice games this season, but as long as Jrue Holiday, Tony Allen and Rajon Rondo are healthy and playing, Moore's going to be a risky roll of the dice in fantasy. Despite some nice games this season, he still probably belongs on waivers in most leagues.
Nov 20 - 11:10 PM

E'Twaun Moore will enter the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Thunder, sending Dante Cunningham to the bench.

Alvin Gentry will be going with a starting five featuring Rajon Rondo, Jrue Holiday, Moore, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins tonight, and it'll be interesting to see how Moore fares with the first unit. He does provide the Pelicans with another ball handler and scorer, but that's not really needed with Holiday and Rondo vying for control of the offense and Boogie and Davis dominating usage wise.
Nov 20 - 6:25 PM

E'Twaun Moore made 4-of-12 from the field for 10 points with three rebounds, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Raptors on Wednesday.

He still managed to find a decent amount of shots and still hit his 31.5 minutes-per-game average. Rajon Rondo did only play 14 minutes in this game, so Moore is really going to have a tough time hitting 30 minutes once Rondo gets going. Expect him to start trending down.
Nov 15 - 11:15 PM

E'Twaun Moore will move to the bench against the Raptors on Wednesday.

Moore was a great fit next to DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis because he can space the floor, but Rajon Rondo will be on the other end of the spectrum. Moore's fantasy owners should probably expect him to take a hit and consider dropping him.
Nov 15 - 6:28 PM

E'Twaun Moore hit 11-of-18 shots and two 3-pointers to tie his career high with 24 points on Monday, adding two rebounds, four assists and a steal in 34 minutes in a win over the Hawks.

Moore also had 24 against the Cavaliers on Oct. 28 and has now scored in double digits in three straight games. He should take a bit of a usage hit with Rajon Rondo back in action, but it might be slow going with Rondo, who played just five minutes tonight.
Nov 13 - 11:02 PM

E'Twaun Moore misfired on 6-of-7 from the field in Saturday's game in Chicago, finishing with just four points.

Moore was able to salvage the stat line with four rebounds, three assists and two steals, but he did his fantasy owners no favors with an 0-of-4 from behind the 3-point line. He'll look to get untracked against the Pacers as the road trip continues on Tuesday night.
Nov 4 - 10:56 PM

E'Twaun Moore finished with 11 points, three rebounds and an assist with two turnovers in 34 minutes Friday at Dallas.

Moore was back in double digits after a couple of single-digit performances over his past two outings. He continues to see a healthy amount of minutes, whether it's in a starting role or off the bench, but his scoring totals have been rather erratic. His fantasy role is limited to deeper leagues at this juncture until he starts to shoot with a little more consistency.
Nov 3 - 11:36 PM

E'Twaun Moore matched his career-high 24 points with two rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday.

It's the third time he's scored 24 points in his career. The Pelicans certainly need a shooter in their first unit and so far Moore has done his job with multiple treys in each of his last four games. He came into this game with averages of 10.0 points, 1.4 treys and 0.8 steals, so that is likely a better representation of what's to come.
Oct 28 - 9:57 PM

E'Twaun Moore scored 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting during Sunday's road win in L.A., making three 3-pointers with two rebounds in 32 minutes.

Moore's efficiency was the key tonight, and his fantasy appeal is precarious at best as a low-usage player with career averages of 6.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.2 blocks. It doesn't help that Jameer Nelson's arrival adds depth to the backcourt, Ian Clark is playing well, and Rajon Rondo (sports hernia) should be back in 3-5 weeks.
Oct 23 - 12:20 AM

E'Twaun Moore started at SG for the Pelicans on Wednesday and had 11 points, four assists, two rebounds and one steal in 34 minutes.

Moore was a staple of the rotation last year and he should start until Rajon Rondo (abdomen) gets back, but his splits from last season don't inspire much confidence. In 22 starts last year he averaged 10.6 points, 1.0 threes, 2.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 0.9 steals -- given his lack of upside, most owners can leave him on the wire.
