E'Twaun Moore will be bumped to the bench on Tuesday night as Tim Frazier and Jrue Holiday will start alongside each other in the Pelicans backcourt.
Coming into Tuesday, Moore had started each of the 17 games he had played in this season. He had a terrific start to the season, but his playing time and production has leveled off recently. Over the Pelicans last five games, Moore is averaging 8.8 points (on 45.2 percent shooting), 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 22.3 minutes per game. Moore will still have big scoring nights here and there, but with Holiday back in the mix full time, there simply aren't enough minutes to justify a roster spot for Moore in most leagues. E'Twaun Moore had an evening to forget on Sunday, missing all four of his shot attempts to go scoreless with five rebounds, three assists and one block in 22 minutes.

Moore came in hot with combined 18-of-31 shooting in his past three games, but the bottom dropped out tonight. He's never been a great shooter (career 43.1 percent FGs) and his minutes have hovered in the mid-20s recently, so there should be higher-upside free agents available in standard leagues.
Nov 27 - 10:30 PM

E'Twaun Moore scored 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting in 23 minutes vs. the Blazers on Friday.

He hit all three of his triples and added four assists, one rebound and one turnover. The Pelicans won their previous four games and are going to try and make a run at a playoff spot, so that should keep him ahead of Buddy Hield (12 minutes) in the rotation for the time being.
Nov 26 - 1:58 AM

E'Twaun Moore started at SG and had 15 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and three 3-pointers on 6-of-11 shooting in 23 minutes of Tuesday's easy win over the Hawks.

Moore played just 18 minutes and hit 1-of-7 shots for two points on Saturday, but bounced back in this one. He's not the most reliable fantasy option right now, but as long as he's starting for the Pelicans, he will have nights like this. He could still lose his starting job to Tim Frazier at some point, but for now, he's still the starting SG in New Orleans.
Nov 22 - 10:54 PM

E'Twaun Moore started, but played just 18 minutes and hit 1-of-7 shots for two points, four rebounds, four assists and a steal in Saturday's OT win over the Hornets.

Tim Frazier took some of his minutes tonight and the return of Jrue Holiday isn't doing him any favors. He scored 11 and 14 points in each of his last two games, but saw his minutes dip on a night he couldn't make a shot. It will be interesting to see who gets the shooting guard job once Holiday is back in the starting five, but it's possible that Moore could lose his job to Frazier.
Nov 20 - 12:12 AM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) returned on Wednesday to score 14 points with four assists, three boards and two steals in 32 minutes vs. the Magic.

His return sent Buddy Hield to the bench, where the rookie posted eight points on 3-of-7 shooting with five rebounds and five assists. Moore may see his role erode as the Pelicans develop Hield later in the season, and it doesn't help that Jrue Holiday is returning Friday with Tyreke Evans (knee) on the horizon.
Nov 16 - 9:45 PM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) will return to the starting five for Wednesday's game against the Magic, sending Buddy Hield back to the bench.

Moore should resume his 30-minute starter role tonight, and he could see some increased touches on offense with Anthony Davis (quad) on the sidelines. Hield has been hit-or-miss this season, but the bench role won't necessarily hurt him.
Nov 16 - 5:48 PM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) is "on track" to play Wednesday vs. the Magic, according to head coach Alvin Gentry.

He's listed as probable, so owners can plan on having him available tonight. With Moore active, Buddy Hield will likely head back to the bench, and Archie Goodwin could struggle to get into the rotation.
Nov 16 - 12:36 PM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) is being listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Magic.

Moore nearly played on Monday, so chances are he'll be back in action on Wednesday night. He's been putting up late-round value on the year with averages of 12.5 points, 2.9 assists, 1.1 3-pointers and 1.3 turnovers per game, although his value could take a slight hit once Jrue Holiday gets back in the starting lineup.
Nov 15 - 3:08 PM

Updating a previous report, E'Twaun Moore (toe) will not play at all on Monday vs. Boston.

The Pelicans were planning to give him 20-25 minutes off the bench, but they changed their minds after warmups. Buddy Hield will see a lot of minutes in the first unit and Langston Galloway and Archie Goodwin could be in line for more minutes as well. For what it's worth, Moore's night off is "precautionary and a preventative measure."
Nov 14 - 8:22 PM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) will be limited to 20-25 minutes on Monday vs. the Celtics.

Now we know why Buddy Hield is starting on Monday. Moore has been getting minutes around 30 pretty consistently, but the return of Jrue Holiday (personal) this week and Tyreke Evans (knee) in a few weeks could eat into his workload.
Nov 14 - 8:13 PM

E'Twaun Moore will come off the bench on Monday vs. the Celtics.

The Pelicans are moving Buddy Hield into the starting five, but there's no word on whether or not it's a permanent switch. Moore averaged 14.2 points in 31.2 minutes per game in his previous five, so it makes sense to hold onto him unless there's a hot free agent available.
Nov 14 - 7:55 PM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) scored 20 points against the Bucks on Thursday with two rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

It's the fourth 20-point game of his career. He was on fire to start the third quarter with 14 points to propel the Pelicans to the win. Moore seems to have earned himself a consistent role with minutes in the low 30s thanks to Lance Stephenson (groin) going down. He is a sneaky low-end guy to own in standard leagues.
Nov 10 - 11:26 PM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) said he will play against the Bucks on Thursday.

He said he felt alright in the morning shootaround and was never truly in doubt. Moore had some foot issues back in the preseason, but that was to his heel and not his toe. With Lance Stephenson (groin) on the shelf, Moore should be looking at minutes in the low 30s.
Nov 10 - 7:28 PM

E'Twaun Moore (toe) said he'll be a game-time decision for Thursday's game vs. the Bucks.

"I feel alright," said Moore. "I’ve just got to keep getting treatment and see how it feels at game time." Moore suffered the toe injury during Wednesday's game, although he was able to play through it, so we'd expect him to give it a go tonight. Still, owners will want to confirm his status prior to tip-off, and if he's out, Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway would see a boost in value, with Hield likely sliding into the starting five. Stay tuned.
