Malcom Thomas was traded to the Celtics on Thursday.

He was very good for the Jazz at summer league, averaging 11.8 points, 5.8 boards, 2.4 assists and 1.2 blocks in five games. However, the Jazz dealt him to the Cavs in July and his contract remains unguaranteed. He is unlikely to make the Celtics.

Malcolm Thomas was traded to the Cavs on Tuesday.

He's almost a lock to be waived with a non-guaranteed contract or at least traded in another deal to help the money match up. Thomas looked great out there with the Jazz in Las Vegas and they may try to bring him back after he clears waivers. He should get a camp invite somewhere at the least.

Assistant coach Brad Jones said Malcolm Thomas "had a really good week" at summer league.

Thomas ranked second on the Jazz in Vegas with his 11.8 points per game and started all five games. He has a very good chance to make the team and they could use his hustle off the bench. Of course, he's no lock to make the rotation despite his improvement.

The Jazz claimed F Malcolm Thomas off waivers on Saturday.

Thomas was recently waived by the Spurs, who weren't using him anyway, but he stands a better chance to crack the rotation in Utah. He is not a fantasy option in any formats.

Spurs waive F Malcolm Thomas

The injury-depleted Spurs have been looking to add Othyus Jeffers on a 10-day contract and this seems to be the move that will give them the roster space to do so. Thomas had only played one game so far this season, so this news shouldn't exactly send shock waves throughout the fantasy basketball landscape.

Malcolm Thomas and Nando De Colo have been re-assigned to the D-League.

The Spurs are making liberal use of the new D-League rules, which do not limit their ability to assign and re-call players from their single-affiliate team, the Austin Toros. It allows guys like Thomas and De Colo to get valuable experience they're otherwise missing as bench-warmers for the Spurs.

The Spurs recalled Malcolm Thomas and Nando De Colo from the D-League.

Neither player is expected to play much with the Spurs and will serve as emergency depth. Thomas has yet to make his debut in the NBA this season.

The Spurs have recalled F Malcolm Thomas from the D-League.

Thomas was averaging 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 35.5 minutes for the Austin Toros, but he has no fantasy appeal and can be ignored in all leagues.

Spurs sign F Malcolm Thomas.

He led Las Vegas Summer League in rebounds and was also solid on offense with 11.0 points per game. Thomas was tearing up the D-League and leads the league with 33.5 points per game. The 25-year-old will need a few things to happen to have fantasy value.

The Spurs are expected to call up F Malcolm Thomas out of the D-League.

It's always nice to see a D-League player make the jump to the NBA, but fantasy owners can safely ignore Thomas even if he does earn some minutes in Gregg Popovich's mercurial rotations.

Bulls waive F Malcolm Thomas.

Thomas barely played during the 2012-13 season and he wasn't part of the plan going forward, so Chicago unloaded his contract before it became guaranteed for $250k on Wednesday.

Malcolm Thomas played a career-high 26 minutes and had six points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block in Tuesday's loss.

The fact Thomas played so many minutes should tell you something about how banged up the Bulls are right now. He's still not worth owning, but deserves to be watched closely going forward after tonight's performance.

Bulls sign F Malcolm Thomas for the remainder of the season.

Thomas got two 10-day contracts and will now remain with the team the rest of the season.

Thomas hasn't even played a full minute of action since joining the Bulls. You can safely ignore him.
