The move was expected, and according to Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld, Fortson will now join the Clippers training camp roster.

It's a no-brainer with Kyle Lowry's season in jeopardy and Goran Dragic dealing with a sprained ankle. Fortson is actually signed through next season as well, but that year is non-guaranteed.

Rockets sign PG Courtney Fortson to a 10-day contract on Saturday.

Fortson's deal could be a bellwether for the status of Kyle Lowry -- if he isn't re-signed after 10 days, Lowry could return sooner than later. Fortson should be in the rotation, considering Derek Fisher is seeking a buyout, but he shouldn't be owned in fantasy leagues.

By releasing Fortson, the Clippers think Chris Paul is showing no ill-effects from his recent hamstring injury and that Eric Bledsoe is just about ready to be called up from the NBADL to take over third-string PG duties behind second-stringer Mo Williams.

Courtney Fortson hit 5-of-10 shots for 13 points, four boards, two assists and a 3-pointer in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Jazz.

He was very active and saw plenty of run in garbage time, as the Jazz were dominant tonight. He's not worth owning in fantasy leagues, but can be put on watch lists in deeper ones.
