John Henson played 20 minutes against the Warriors on Saturday with eight points, 10 rebounds, one steal and four blocks on 3-of-9 from the field.
He was 2-of-4 from the line and was heavily involved in the offense. Henson does have 3.0 blocks per game in his last five, adding averages of 5.8 points, 5.4 boards, 0.6 assists and 0.6 steals. His fantasy value is going to be all over the place, but he's definitely worth a look if you need the blocks. Mar 28 - 11:03 PM

John Henson played 16 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday with eight points, two boards, one assist, two steals and two blocks.

It’s no coincidence that Henson played just 13.5 minutes per game in his previous two and Zaza Pachulia has exploded. Henson hasn’t topped 24 minutes in a game since Mar. 9 and he’s probably going to need a Zaza injury to be more than a one-category guy for his blocks.
Mar 26 - 10:59 PM

John Henson only managed to log 14 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Cavs, putting up four points, two rebounds, two blocks and two turnovers.

His minutes have been sporadic, and they will continue to be as long as Zaza Pachulia is healthy. Henson can be viewed as a shot blocking specialists in deep leagues, but with Jason Kidd yanking his minutes around, he's not worth owning in standard formats.
Mar 22 - 6:43 PM

John Henson blocked seven shots with four points, 10 boards and one assist in 21 minutes against the Nets on Friday.

The triple-overtime factor helped him here, so it's hard to get too excited about this line. Plus, Zaza Pachulia arguably had the best game of his career tonight. Unless you're really in the hunt for blocks, Henson isn't a great grab.
Mar 21 - 12:14 AM

John Henson made the most of his 24 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, scoring 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting with seven boards and four blocks.

He shot 0-of-4 from the free throw line but most owners will live with that caveat as long as he's helping with field goal percentages, rebounds and blocks. It's worth keeping an eye on Henson's role as the week continues, as fellow big man Miles Plumlee was a conspicuous DNP-CD tonight.
Mar 17 - 11:00 PM

John Henson played 21 minutes against the Grizzlies on Saturday with three points, five rebounds, one steal and two blocks.

He played 12 minutes on Thursday and picked up some extra run. Henson has seen his production fall off in his last three and he's not a must-own player anymore with the lack of playing time. Coach Jason Kidd could unleash him, but we doubt anyone else in your league will pick him up if you drop him.
Mar 14 - 11:48 PM

John Henson logged just 12 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday with three rebounds and two turnovers.

His minutes are evaporating right now. Henson is only at 18.2 minutes per game in his last five, averaging 4.0 points, 5.2 boards and 1.6 blocks. The blocks are enough to hold him if you really need them, but most owners would have to be in a very deep league to at least not entertain grabbing someone else.
Mar 12 - 10:12 PM

John Henson logged a few minutes at power forward alongside Zaza Pachulia during Saturday's loss to the Jazz, finishing with nine points, four boards, two steals and one block in 20 minutes.

Henson had only logged eight minutes beside Zaza Pachulia this season before tonight's game, as head coach Jason Kidd has been stubborn about keeping him at center. However, if Henson does end up playing more power forward down the stretch, his value will improve tremendously. Henson has been a must-start option this past month even in a limited role off the bench, so he is worth owning in almost all leagues.
Feb 28 - 11:40 PM

John Henson scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting with five rebounds and two blocks in 15 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Henson has produced at a top 40-50 level for the last month and he is a must-start player even though he's averaging just 23 mpg in that span. At a minimum he will return late-round value.
Feb 28 - 4:36 AM

John Henson torched the 76ers off the bench on Wednesday with 21 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks in 29 minutes.

Yes, this was against the 76ers, but Henson gets a lot of credit here. Coach Jason Kidd does not play Henson big minutes and he still hasn't played him next to Miles Plumlee or Zaza Pachulia since the team added Plumlee. He does have some upside, but it's hard to add him after he was unable to clear 18 minutes in each of his previous three games.
Feb 25 - 11:44 PM

John Henson will move to the Bucks bench vs. Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Henson struggled on Monday and he'll be replaced by Zaza Pachulia in the starting five tonight, with Michael Carter-Williams (foot) also taking over for Jerryd Bayless. Henson could succeed in an expanded second-unit role, but most owners should cut him loose for a more attractive rest-of-season option.
Feb 25 - 7:06 PM

John Henson got buried by the Bulls on Monday, managing just two points, one rebound and one assist in 16 minutes.

Henson was also quiet on Sunday and owners may want to cut him some slack against a marquee team known for its bigs. If the problem continues for another game, we'll probably change our tune. And if owners see a hot free agent and want to make the cut, that's fine also.
Feb 23 - 10:54 PM

John Henson was quiet in 18 minutes on Sunday, scoring two points with eight boards, one steal and two blocks vs. Atlanta.

The boards and defensive stats are nice, especially on a per-minute basis, but this is a mildly worrying beginning to the stretch run for Henson. The Bucks acquired Miles Plumlee over the All-Star break and he could cut into Henson's production, but owners shouldn't panic after one bad game vs. the Hawks' defense. We'll keep a close eye on the frontcourt rotation vs. Chicago on Monday.
Feb 22 - 6:06 PM

John Henson returned to action on Friday and played just 18 minutes, scoring 14 points with four rebounds, one steal and four blocks.

Coach Jason Kidd refuses to play him big minutes, so the departure of Larry Sanders is almost irrelevant to Henson. If you're OK with him being up and down, give him a look. However, he's really going to have to get hot to be a top-125 guy in standard leagues.
Feb 21 - 2:30 AM

John Henson said that he tweaked his ankle during Wednesday's practice, but he thinks he'll be able to suit up for Friday's game against the Nuggets.

Henson was withheld from all contact portions of Thursday's practice, and we'll be considering him questionable for Friday's game. If he's unable to go, Zaza Pachulia will get all the run he can handle, and Ersan Ilyasova will be in line for extended minutes. Stay tuned.
