John Henson was back in the rotation on Friday vs. the Jazz, scoring four points with two rebounds and one block in 13 minutes.
After three straight DNP-CDs, Henson was forced into action because Thon Maker had four fouls in 14 minutes. The Bucks were unable to move Greg Monroe at the deadline and the Bucks want to give Maker a look, so Henson's stash appeal isn't great. Feb 25 - 1:22 AM

Date:

John Henson was a DNP-CD on Saturday vs. the Pacers.

Here we go again. The Bucks started Michael Beasley tonight and pushed Thon Maker over to center, so Henson could be out of the rotation for a bit since the Bucks won tonight. They probably want to get an extended look at Maker as well. Henson can be dropped in most formats.
Feb 11 - 10:20 PM

John Henson will come off the bench against the Pacers on Saturday.

The Bucks center spot is a total mess right now and Henson is back into one of his slumps. This situation will likely be too much of a headache for fantasy owners. As for Maker, this definitely helps, but he really has to show he can produce in non-garbage time situations.
Feb 11 - 5:45 PM

John Henson scored 15 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 25 minutes during his start against the Suns on Saturday.

That's two good games in a row for Henson, following his 16-point, four block game on Friday. Even when Henson was playing well, he still was on a short leash. We're still not entirely sold on Henson going forward, but there is upside.
Feb 5 - 1:07 AM

John Henson played 31 minutes as the starting center against the Nuggets on Friday with 16 points, five rebounds, one steal and four blocks.

After getting three DNP-CDs in the previous four games, of course coach Jason Kidd gave him 31 minutes. Before the game, Henson said it wasn't really about him, and the Bucks now have five centers, so a trade could be in the cards. He'll have to do it again and again to be added in most leagues. He has upside, but he was really bad in January.
Feb 4 - 3:16 AM

John Henson will start against the Nuggets on Friday night.

He was a DNP-CD on Wednesday and has played just seven total minutes in the last five, so he was obviously encouraged with this move. "Obviously they are things going on that are bigger than me," Henson said." These days, Kidd will roll with his starting center for the first 7-8 minutes per half, then go with Greg Monroe the rest of the way. This situation is a mess, so most fantasy owners should steer clear.
Feb 3 - 2:15 PM

John Henson picked up a DNP-CD on Monday vs. the Rockets.

Henson was in good spirits on the bench, but this isn't the first time this has happened. The last time Henson was a DNP-CD on Nov. 25, he responded with his best game of the season with 20 points, seven rebounds and three blocks on Nov. 27, so maybe coach Jason Kidd is trying to light a fire under him again. Miles Plumlee started and scored 10 points in 20 minutes, while Greg Monroe had 17 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in 27 minutes. Henson is only a stash in deeper leagues for now and it remains to be seen if he will be back in the rotation on Wednesday vs. the 76ers.
Jan 23 - 11:33 PM

John Henson will come off the bench on Monday vs. the Rockets.

Here we go again. The Bucks have lost five games in a row so coach Jason Kidd is shaking things up by moving Miles Plumlee into the starting unit. Henson will either be in a three-man rotation at center tonight or could even pick up a DNP-CD if Kidd wants to send him a message, so it makes sense to take him out of your lineup.
Jan 23 - 6:31 PM

John Henson played just 16 minutes vs. the Magic on Friday, scoring eight points with five rebounds, two assists and a block.

He finished 3-of-4 from the field, but this game got away from the Bucks early on and coach Jason Kidd opted to use all three centers tonight -- Miles Plumlee played 16 minutes and Greg Monroe played 14. Henson's not consistent enough right now for standard-league owners and the center position in Milwaukee is one of most annoying situations in fantasy.
Jan 20 - 9:53 PM

John Henson played 19 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday with four points, five rebounds, one steal and one block.

He was right at his monthly average in playing time, but there has been a slight downward trend. Henson hasn't really been in foul trouble too often, but his play has really taken a turn for the worse. He'll be in a great spot on Friday against the Magic, so a bad game there may be the final straw for his patient owners.
Jan 18 - 11:14 PM

John Henson played 26 minutes on Monday vs. the 76ers, scoring eight points on 3-of-8 shooting.

The Bucks needed his defense against the one they call The Process, so he reached 26 minutes for the just the second time in over a month. Henson did a respectable job and grabbed five rebounds with four assists and two blocks, but we'll need to see him do this a couple times in a row before recommending an add in standard leagues. Greg Monroe still looks like the center you want to own.
Jan 16 - 6:49 PM

John Henson didn't do much of anything during his 15 minutes of playing time on Sunday, scoring two points on 1-of-3 shooting to go with one rebound, two assists, one steal and two turnovers.

Henson didn't even get a single blocked shot, and it's been tough for him to earn meaningful minutes lately with how well Greg Monroe has been playing. Over the past eight games, Henson's playing time has fallen to 19.2 minutes a night and he's been absolutely dreadful with averages of 5.0 points, 3.1 boards and just 0.8 blocks per contest. Henson was only worth owning as a shot blocking specialist, and with him not even doing that, he belongs on the waiver wire just about everywhere.
Jan 8 - 5:41 PM

John Henson played just 14 minutes against the Knicks on Wednesday with two points, two rebounds and three fouls.

Greg Monroe has really performed on the offensive end as a passer and as a scorer. Meanwhile, Henson's defensive edge hasn't really been there with a slew of mistakes to go with his rising foul rate. Maybe Henson snaps out of it, but Monroe's improved play puts a damper on Henson's value.
Jan 4 - 11:13 PM

John Henson played just 14 minutes against the Bulls with one point, three rebounds and four fouls on Saturday.

Uh oh. Henson has really had some tough times under the basket and has looked a little clumsy at times. He may stay in the starting lineup, but his playing time is slipping away. His owners may not want to cling too tightly these days.

John Henson was quiet in 19 minutes vs. Washington on Friday, posting five points on 1-of-4 FGs and 3-of-4 FTs, with three boards, one assist, one steal and zero blocks.

Foul trouble wasn't an issue, but Greg Monroe got hot off the bench and scoring quickly took precedence tonight. Henson has been a great source of blocks with a modicum of boards and solid FG percentage over the past month, without hurting you anywhere. Owners just have to accept the occasional dud.
