John Henson came off the Bucks' bench on Friday for four points, two rebounds, one steal and one block in 12 minutes.
Henson has been mentioned in trade rumors, along with fellow Bucks center Greg Monroe, and it would likely take a trade or a teammate's injury to propel him to standard-league relevance. That said, his upside shouldn't be ignored in deeper leagues -- on a per-36-minute basis, he has career averages of 14.5 points (53.4 percent FGs), 9.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.8 steals and a value-anchoring 2.9 blocks. The Bucks are reportedly actively shopping John Henson.

Henson has always been ripe with potential as a guy that can rack up the swats at an elite level, but Jason Kidd has never allowed him to average more than 20 minutes a night. Per-36 minutes last season, Henson produced averages of 12.6 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per contest, so he could be a serious factor in fantasy hoops if he lands in the right situation.

ESPN's Chris Hayes is reporting that Bucks may consider trading John Henson.

Milwaukee is pursuing Derrick Rose, but would likely need to clear cap space in order to sign him. The Bucks can currently only offer Rose $4.4 million. Henson, who has three years and $32 million remaining on his contract, played behind Thon Maker and Greg Monroe last season. Per Hayes: "There is mutual interest and motivation from both sides on finding the 6-11 center a new home."

John Henson (thumb) played just nine minutes in his return on Monday vs. the Hornets, scoring two points with one rebound and one block.

Coach Jason Kidd hinted before the game that Henson would see around 20 minutes, but Greg Monroe gave them some really good minutes off the bench tonight. Henson can be left on the wire following this dud.
Apr 10 - 10:47 PM

John Henson (thumb) is expected to play around 20 minutes on Monday vs. the Hornets.

Coach Jason Kidd is a lot more transparent these days, so this a nice heads up for fantasy owners. Spencer Hawes is resting and may be out of the rotation for good anyways, while Thon Maker will likely play a handful of minutes in the first unit with Greg Monroe playing anywhere from 18-25 minutes off the bench based on recent games.
Apr 10 - 6:36 PM

John Henson (thumb) is available to play on Monday vs. the Hornets.

Thon Maker has been getting a little bit more burn in the first unit lately, so Henson may not be a part of the rotation. He's safe to leave on the wire in most formats until we see what role he has in his first game back.
Apr 10 - 12:17 PM

John Henson (thumb) remains out for Saturday against the Hornets.

He was targeting a return on Apr. 10 and he may hit it after going through some contact in practice recently. Thon Maker will continue to start, but he's a very dicey fantasy option.
Apr 8 - 5:53 PM

John Henson (thumb) had a workout on Thursday and will be re-evaulated in the near future.

He is targeting Apr. 10 against the Hornets, so it's not a lock he's back this regular season. Due to this injury, Henson may not get a $250K bonus for playing in 60 games -- he's played in 56 games thus far. Thon Maker has had some bright spots lately, but he's not a fantasy option in most leagues.
Apr 6 - 7:36 PM

John Henson (thumb) said he's hoping to return on Apr. 10 vs. the Hornets.

This means we can rule him out for Thursday's game vs. the Pacers and Saturday's game vs. the 76ers. If Henson returns on Apr. 10, that means he would be available for the final two games of the regular season. With Thon Maker playing better and Greg Monroe healthy, Henson can be left on the wire.
Apr 6 - 9:32 AM

John Henson (thumb) is unlikely to play on Thursday against the Pacers.

He's missed the last eight games, but he should be back in the regular season. It's been Thon Maker benefiting the most, but he's only worth a looking deeper leagues.
Apr 5 - 4:09 PM

John Henson (thumb) will not play Tuesday vs. the Thunder.

After Tuesday, Henson will have spent eight straight games on the sidelines, and it's looking like he'll miss even more than that given he's not even traveling with the team for their three-game road trip. He's not worth owning anywhere.
Apr 3 - 2:59 PM

John Henson (sprained left thumb) was not on the active roster for Sunday's game.

Henson was ruled out for approximately one week last Sunday, but we've heard nothing about an imminent return. Thon Maker, Spencer Hawes and Greg Monroe continue to divvy up his minutes.
Apr 2 - 7:55 PM

John Henson (left thumb sprain) is expected to be sidelined for approximately a week.

Henson already missed two straight games after injuring his thumb in Portland on Tuesday night. He should be left on waivers in all leagues. Greg Monroe and Spencer Hawes will see some additional minutes with Henson sidelined.
Mar 25 - 12:11 PM

John Henson (thumb) will not play against the Hawks on Friday.

It'll be his second game out of the lineup. Spencer Hawes was in the rotation for the last game and scored 10 points, so he should be looking at a similar role. Henson was expected to be re-evaluated today, but there's no update on his status going forward. Besides Greg Monroe as a low-end guy, this is a situation to avoid in most leagues.
Mar 24 - 6:27 PM

John Henson (left thumb sprain) will be re-evaluated when the Bucks return to Milwaukee.

Henson got hurt in Portland and he sat out Wednesday's game. Owners should consider him questionable to play vs. the visiting Hawks on Friday -- if he can't suit up, Spencer Hawes looks like the biggest winner after scoring 10 points in 18 minutes on Wednesday.
