John Henson played 25 minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday with seven points, six rebounds and two blocks.
It wasn't the best game from Henson, but he's now played at least 21 minutes in each of his last six. In that span, he averaged 12.3 points, 7.0 boards, 0.5 steals and 2.8 blocks on 53.2 percent from the field and 75.0 percent from the line. He should be owned everywhere. Dec 7 - 11:24 PM

John Henson hit just 1-of-3 shots for eight points, five rebounds, a steal and three more blocks in Monday's tough 97-96 loss to the Spurs.

Henson was coming off a 20-point game with a nice line and has been playing much better lately. He's averaging 13.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.0 blocks over his last five games and is one of the hottest pickups in fantasy hoops right now, for good reason.
Dec 5 - 11:23 PM

John Henson scored 20 points in 27 minutes against the Nets on Saturday, adding seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.

What? Coach Jason Kidd is being consistent with his minutes at the five? Henson has played 25.5 minutes per game in his last four with fantastic averages of 14.8 points, 7.8 boards, 1.5 assists, 3.0 blocks and 0.5 steals. We all know Kidd can change his rotation as often as he changes his shirt, but Henson has to be owned everywhere now.
Dec 3 - 8:16 PM

John Henson played 25 minutes against the Nets on Thursday with 12 points, eight rebounds, one assist and five blocks.

Believe it or not, we may actually have a consistent role for Henson. He's played at least 21 minutes in each of his last three games, averaging 13.0 points, 8.0 boards, 1.3 assists and 3.3 blocks. This does come with a grain of salt because the matchups have helped Henson, but his block rate is just too good to leave on the wire in any standard-style league.
Dec 1 - 10:06 PM

John Henson made his second straight start on Tuesday vs. the Cavaliers and played well, scoring seven points on 3-of-7 shooting with nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 21 minutes.

Greg Monroe logged 26 minutes off the bench and it looks like he and Henson will be splitting the center minutes on most nights -- Miles Plumlee played just a couple minutes. Coach Jason Kidd can be unpredictable with his rotations, but Henson is coming off a 20-point effort with seven boards, three blocks, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes against the Magic on Sunday, so feel free to grab him off the wire if you need blocks and boards.
Nov 29 - 11:08 PM

John Henson moved back into the starting lineup vs. Orlando on Sunday, scoring a season-high 20 points (8-of-13 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs) with seven boards, three blocks, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes.

He was a DNP-CD on Friday and the Bucks' center position has been nauseating for fantasy purposes. Henson's minutes have hovered in the low-20s even as a starter, he came in with the Bucks' worst net rating at -12.4, and his role is likely to shift depending upon the opponent. Feel free to speculatively pick him up after tonight's solid performance, but don't be surprised if it proves to be a one-time event.

Nov 27 - 9:48 PM

John Henson will return to the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Magic, sending Miles Plumlee back to the bench.

Henson went from starter to DNP-CD on Friday, but he should be able to flirt with close to 20 minutes tonight with a better matchup against the Magic. Plumlee tends to move in and out of the starting five, but he's not worth owning anywhere, regardless of how he enters the game.
Nov 27 - 4:53 PM

John Henson picked up a DNP-CD vs. the Raptors on Friday.

Henson was an intriguing pickup when Jason Kidd decided to start him, but he didn't take off with averages of 7.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.4 blocks. Considering he's not even in the rotation, owners can safely cut him back to the waiver wire.
Nov 25 - 10:41 PM

John Henson will come off the bench on Friday vs. the Raptors.

The Bucks will start Miles Plumlee and coach Jason Kidd only wants to use two centers moving forward, so it's possible Henson goes from to a starter to a DNP-CD if he decides to roll with Greg Monroe off the bench. If you picked Henson up for his blocks, it makes sense to see how the rotation looks before dropping him. Henson is too risky to deploy in most fantasy lineups tonight.
Nov 25 - 6:32 PM

John Henson started at center again on Saturday, but played just 18 minutes and finished with seven points, six boards, one steal and no blocks.

He was in some foul trouble tonight, but despite his recent starting gig, he's averaging just 7.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks over his last five games. It's probably best to stay away from whoever might be playing center for Jason Kidd from night to night. At least for now.
Nov 20 - 12:38 AM

Coach Jason Kidd said he will play just two centers again on Saturday and John Henson will start.

We saw Greg Monroe get benched with a DNP-CD on Thursday, so it's possible he gets the night off again. Henson played 28 minutes on Thursday, so he looks like he'll get decent run again.
Nov 19 - 7:02 PM

John Henson had season-highs 28 minutes, 12 points and three blocks against the Heat on Thursday, adding five rebounds and one steal.

Greg Monroe was a DNP-CD tonight, so Henson picked up some extra minutes. The matchup was favorable for him because coach Jason Kidd likes to use Henson against big fives like Hassan Whiteside. Henson's minutes have also increased in each of his last four games. Kidd's rotation has been a messy one for most of his time in Milwaukee, but it makes sense to give Henson a look in standard leagues.
Nov 17 - 10:06 PM

John Henson scored seven points with seven rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday.

While he does have the starting job locked up, Henson has played just 18.3 minutes per game since he shifted to the first unit. Although, Henson really only needs about 20 minutes to make an impact in fantasy because of his block rate. If you need blocks, give him a look.
Nov 17 - 12:05 AM

Jason Kidd said that John Henson will be his starting center moving forward.

Henson started on Saturday vs. Memphis and put up eight points, seven boards, one assist and one block in 18 minutes. It would be nice if he would play more, but that could be tough with Greg Monroe locked into a 22-minute reserve role. However, trade rumors have been floating around Monroe for quite some time now, and if he ever gets moved, that could clear the way for a 30-minute starting role for Henson. He's a high-upside stash due to his ability to rack up the blocks.
Nov 14 - 5:41 PM

John Henson scored eight points in a start against the Grizzlies on Saturday, adding seven rebounds, one assist and one block.

It does appear that this was about the matchup against Marc Gasol. While it's encouraging to see coach Jason Kidd trust Henson in this spot, we still don't feel good enough about him as a consistent contributor. We'd view him as more of a stash for a block-needy owner. His upside is really nice, so it's not a bad idea to get on the bandwagon while it's light.
