Perry Jones played six minutes in his return to the lineup on Friday with one steal and one miss from the field.
He didn't provide any other stats and the Thunder aren't going to need him now that the calvary is back. Jones is unlikely to be a fantasy factor while Kevin Durant is active. Dec 5 - 11:19 PM

Date:

Perry Jones (knee) will be active against the 76ers on Friday.

He suffered his knee contusion way back on Nov. 4 and has been back on the practice court for 5-on-5 since Wednesday. Jones will likely only play minutes in the teens tonight with Kevin Durant back in action, so he's not a great fantasy play.
Dec 5 - 5:39 PM

Perry Jones (knee) went through practice on Wednesday.

He was doing 5-on-5 drills and he appears to be close to a return from his knee contusion. However, Kevin Durant is back, so there is very little appeal for Jones in fantasy leagues. It's worth mentioning KD and Russell Westbrook had a combined usage of 76.0 on Tuesday. There is not going to be much to go around beyond KD, Westbrook, Reggie Jackson and Serge Ibaka.
Dec 3 - 3:20 PM

Perry Jones (knee) participated during some of the Thunder's practice on Monday, and went through parts of Tuesday's shootaround, but he remains out for Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans.

While these are positive signs that Jones is indeed nearing a return, with Kevin Durant (foot) ready to make his regular-season debut tonight, Jones has close to zero fantasy value. He'll play limited minutes backing up Durant, and he won't be worth owning in standard leagues.
Dec 2 - 3:08 PM

Perry Jones (knee) is still not practicing and there is no timetable for his return.

With Kevin Durant's (foot) return imminent, it is time to move on from Jones if you haven't already. Jones can be ignored in all but the deepest of leagues.
Nov 29 - 1:57 PM

Perry Jones (knee) is still not ready to play.

His knee contusion has kept him out for almost the entire month and it looks like Kevin Durant (foot) will beat him to game action. Jones can be cut in most leagues. Andre Roberson, Jeremy Lamb and Anthony Morrow should get most of the minutes on the wing, but they're not great plays tonight.
Nov 26 - 2:31 PM

Perry Jones (bruised knee) still doesn't have a return timetable, according to coach Scott Brooks.

"He hasn’t participated in any parts of practice," Brooks said. "He’s just with our medical staff. Just a normal rehab process for his knee. That’s the only thing I know of right now." Jones has been out three weeks since banging his right knee, and by the time he returns Kevin Durant (foot) should be fully healthy and dominating minutes at SF. If you've been clinging to Jones in a deep league, it's probably time to cut him loose.

Nov 25 - 8:01 PM

Perry Jones (knee) will not play against the Nets on Friday.

The team doesn't know when he will return to the lineup. Jones should be considered questionable to return to action in the next week or so.
Nov 21 - 7:51 PM

Perry Jones (knee) will not play in Sunday's game, and has yet to return to practice.

He can't seem to turn the corner and it's a terrible shame considering how good he was early in the season. Jones can be ignored in standard leagues with Kevin Durant (foot) on the way back soon and Lance Thomas and Anthony Morrow will continue to fill the void at SF for the depleted Thunder. Thomas is by no means a consideration in almost any league while Morrow makes for an interesting plug-and-play for his 3-point shooting.
Nov 16 - 9:43 AM

Perry Jones (knee) and Andre Roberson (foot) both missed practice on Saturday and are not going to play against the Rockets on Sunday.

Jones' knee contusion just won't get any better and he still doesn't have a timetable to return. Considering guys like George Hill (knee) have missed significant time with their knee contusions, it's certainly possible we don't see PJ3 on the court this week. Jeremy Lamb and Anthony Morrow should be in most starting lineups for Sunday.
Nov 15 - 2:19 PM

Perry Jones (knee) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Pistons.

Lance Thomas will likely draw the start again, but he really hasn't done much with his opportunity, averaging just 6.6 points and 5.8 rebounds with the starting unit. It's also possible that Anthony Morrow challenges Thomas for the starting small forward spot, but that would essentially give the Thunder zero energy off the bench. For now, Thomas looks like the starter, but Morrow is the guy to own here after dropping 28 points in his last outing.
Nov 14 - 1:39 PM

Perry Jones (knee) is listed as out for Wednesday's game against Boston.

Jones has yet to practice since sustaining his injury and his window for fantasy relevancy is quickly closing with the impending return of the one they call Kevin Durant (foot). Lance Thomas will draw the start Wednesday but is way too unreliable to matter in almost all leagues.
Nov 12 - 12:55 PM

Perry Jones (knee) is out for Tuesday's game against the Bucks, and Lance Thomas will draw the start in his absence.

This news comes as no surprise as he has yet to practice since he sustained his injury. There is no longer any reason to hold onto him in standard leagues with the impending return of Kevin Durant (foot), so owners can feel free to look elsewhere. Lance Thomas will again get all the minutes he can handle but is too inconsistent to be an option in most leagues.
Nov 11 - 8:19 PM

Perry Jones (knee) will not play Sunday vs. the Kings, and Lance Thomas will start in his place.

Jones has not practiced since sustained his injury on Tuesday, and given the fact that he will have essentially no value once Kevin Durant (foot) returns, there's not much reason to hang onto him. Lance Thomas has been pretty unproductive with the starting unit, and is averaging just 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, so owners in standard leagues can leave him on the waiver wire.
Nov 9 - 5:32 PM

Perry Jones (knee) and Andre Roberson (foot) missed practice on Saturday.

Chances are both guys are going to miss Sunday against the Kings. Jones has a knee contusion and hasn't seen the practice court since sustaining his injury on Tuesday. He isn't on crutches and it's not considered serious, but his fantasy owners can probably consider making a move since his fantasy value has an expiration date when Kevin Durant (foot) can play. Lance Thomas will have some short-term value in deep leagues.
