Jeremy Lamb could see occasional minutes at small forward.
"He’s big, can really shoot and he can pass. I would say if he does those things he can be a big part (of this team) and have a good year," Steve Clifford said. Lamb will get a chance to prove he should be a part of Charlotte's rotation, but he'll have to show what he's got quickly in order to avoid a similar fate to the one he endured with the Thunder. Jeremy Lamb is excited for a fresh start with the Hornets.

It gives me an opportunity to try to get a role and just play," he said. "I’m going to make the most of it. I’m just going to work hard and try my best to put myself in a position to play and have a role on this team." Lamb will have to prove himself after showing very little on a consistent basis during his tenure in OKC.

Jeremy Lamb has been traded to the Charlotte Hornets.

Lamb had been rumored to be headed to the Hornets for Matt Barnes on Wednesday, but the Hornets first pulled off a swap with Memphis that sent Barnes to the Grizzlies. Lamb will now be part of a deal that sends Luke Ridnour and a second-round pick to the Thunder, while Lamb will have to hope that a change of scenario helps him develop as a player. Until that happens, however, he can be ignored in standard fantasy leagues.

Updating a previous item, Jeremy Lamb remains on the Thunder.

There was a report yesterday evening that Lamb was sent to Charlotte for Matt Barnes. However, Barnes has been traded to the Grizzlies today, so that means Lamb remains with OKC. He is still very likely to be traded today, but it probably won't be to the Hornets.
Jun 25 - 11:31 AM

The Hornets will acquire Jeremy Lamb in exchange for Matt Barnes.

He really needed a change of scenery because things just were not working out with OKC. Lamb couldn't get anything going when OKC needed him the most, making just 38.6 percent from the field before the All-Star break. He'll have to earn his playing time and is not worth drafting in most leagues right now.
Jun 24 - 7:25 PM

The Oklahoma City Thunder are reportedly shopping Jeremy Lamb.

The Thunder's trade motivation appears to be financial, but they are also looking to add a draft pick to their arsenal in any potential move. Steve Novak and Perry Jones have also been rumored to be on the trade block, so we'll keep an eye on this situation as it sounds like the Thunder are motivated to make a smaller move involving at least one of the aforementioned players.
Jun 23 - 11:21 AM

Jeremy Lamb played three minutes with three points, two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer against the Rockets on Wednesday.

He was one of the major pieces of the James Harden deal, which is basically a microcosm of that deal. Lamb could be traded with the Thunder in pursuit of Brook Lopez, but there's still very little reason to add him in even ridiculously deep leagues.
Jan 15 - 10:52 PM

Jeremy Lamb returned to action on Tuesday, scoring six points on 3-of-9 shooting to go with three boards in 15 minutes.

He missed Sunday's game with a sore foot, but returned to his role off of the Thunder bench on Tuesday in disappointing fashion. Lamb is usually hit-or-miss, and he is too unreliable to be used in standard leagues. You can safely ignore him on the waiver wire.

Jeremy Lamb (foot) will play in Tuesday's game against the Kings.

He missed Sunday's contest due to a sore foot, but he is said to be all set for Tuesday. Lamb is no longer an asset in standard leagues now that the Thunder are healthy, and he can be ignored in almost all leagues.

Jeremy Lamb made 3-of-9 from the field for nine points, four rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer against the Cavs on Thursday.

Kevin Durant was yelling at him for being a ball hog, which makes sense because a Lamb isolation is nowhere near as effective as a KD isolation. Lamb will take a backseat most nights and is too much of a headache to own in most leagues.
Thu, Dec 11, 2014 11:15:00 PM

Jeremy Lamb scored 15 points in 15 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Pelicans, making 5-of-7 field goals and 4-of-5 free throws off the bench.

It's nice to see Lamb thrive in an instant-offense role but his limited playing time eliminates him as a viable fantasy player. The eventual return of Perry Jones (knee) will only complicate OKC's wing rotation.

Jeremy Lamb continued to play well in advance of the eventual silence, hitting 3-of-5 shots (including three treys) for 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 22 minutes.

The Thunder would have been wise to develop Lamb last season instead of playing declining veterans, but as usual it's better late than never in OKC. He'll have a hard time accumulating fantasy value when Kevin Durant returns, but he'll be a viable option in the playoffs for the Thunder.

Jeremy Lamb caught fire in 24 minutes of action vs. the Jazz, scoring 21 points on 7-of-8 shots including three 3-pointers, while adding four boards, two assists, three steals and one block.

Lamb also turned the ball over three times before fouling out of the game in a frenetic performance that earned him a loud ovation from the home crowd in OKC. He was averaging 6.0 points in just 16.7 minutes in his past three games and it's futile to guess when he might explode off the bench. Most fantasy owners would be best served ignoring him, especially with Kevin Durant (foot) and Russell Westbrook (hand) on the verge of returning.
Thu, Nov 27, 2014 12:02:00 AM

Jeremy Lamb never got going in 12 minutes off the bench on Sunday, missing all six of his field goal attempts to finish with five points on 5-of-5 free throws.

He added one board and one assist without any defensive stats, and this disappearing act is precisely why he's so frustrating to own in fantasy leagues. His big games are scattered among many more duds, and he's only worth attention in deep leagues while guys like Andre Roberson, Anthony Morrow and Lance Thomas are healthy.
Sun, Nov 23, 2014 10:08:00 PM

Jeremy Lamb will move to the bench against the the Nets on Friday.

Andre Roberson is back in the starting lineup and isn't expected to play more than 20 minutes, so Lamb should still get some run. He's been far too inconsistent on the season to use in most fantasy leagues.
