Jeremy Lamb moved back to the bench on Saturday with four points, five rebounds, three assists and one block in 14 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday.
With Nic Batum and Frank Kaminsky now back together, Lamb's playing time should continue to be in the teens. The Hornets won't be going with as many small lineups and obviously Batum deserves his 35 minutes per game, so he just doesn't have a clear avenue for playing time. Go ahead and drop Lamb. Date:

Jeremy Lamb started again on Wednesday in place of Nicolas Batum (migraines), scoring eight points on 3-of-9 shooting with seven rebounds and two assists.

Lamb played 29 minutes tonight, after scoring a career-high 26 points in 31 minutes on Monday. Batum's CT scan came back negative and he's day-to-day, however, so there are no guarantees that Lamb will get another start.
Mar 15 - 10:13 PM

Jeremy Lamb started in place of Nicolas Batum (migraine) on Monday vs. the Bulls and made the most of his opportunity, scoring a career-high 26 points.

His success shouldn't be a surprise, as he posted averages of 14.0 points, 10.0 boards, 3.0 dimes and 0.7 steals in three previous starts this season. He shot 10-of-17 from the field with four rebounds, two assists, two steals and two triples, but he will lose most of his value if Batum is able to play on Wednesday vs. the Pacers. The Hornets are 3.5 games behind the No. 8 seed in the East, so we should see more of Lamb if they fall out of the playoff hunt. He's worth a long look if Batum misses another game.
Mar 13 - 10:38 PM

Jeremy Lamb will be in the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Bulls.

Nicolas Batum (migraine) is unavailable for this one, so Lamb should be able to flirt with minutes in the 30s. In Lamb's three previous starts this season, he compiled averages of 14.0 points, 10.0 boards, 3.0 dimes and 0.7 steals per contest, so he could be someone to look at as a potential streamer or DFS punt play tonight.
Mar 13 - 5:28 PM

Jeremy Lamb scored 10 points with five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers against the Magic on Friday.

Many Hornets had to play up a position to help offset their lack of depth of front, so that led to more minutes for Lamb. If guys like Johnny O'Bryant and Frank Kaminsky still need to miss time, coach Steve Clifford should continue to use Michael Kidd-Gilchrist more at power forward. Lamb may be a sneaky, risky play on Saturday, but his long-term value isn't the greatest.
Mar 10 - 9:45 PM

Jeremy Lamb scored 14 points vs. the Pacers on Monday, shooting 6-of-9 from the field.

Lamb has been a nice per-minute guy this season, but his minutes have been all over the place. He added five rebounds, two assists and two triples in 25 minutes, and it's possible that he gets more burn later in the season -- the Hornets are 3.0 games behind the Bulls for the No. 8 seed.
Mar 6 - 11:38 PM

Jeremy Lamb stepped up in 37 bench minutes on Sunday, scoring 19 points with six rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in a road loss vs. the Clippers.

Lamb made 5-of-10 field goals and 8-of-8 free throws for his second-highest scoring game of the season, and his contributions were critical in taking pressure off Kemba Walker and Nic Batum. The fifth-year swingman has found a solid niche off Charlotte's bench the past two seasons, but he doesn't typically do enough for standard-league ownership.
Feb 27 - 12:49 AM

Jeremy Lamb got loose for 16 points, seven rebounds, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer on 6-of-11 shooting in just 19 minutes on Monday.

Lamb's been back from his foot injury for four games and has scored three, seven, 12 and 16 points in each of his them, showing positive progression along the way. But with most of his teammates healthy and limited minutes in each one, he's far from a reliable fantasy option. Just keep an eye on him going forward. He scored 12 on Saturday in just 15 minutes and had 16 points in 19 minutes, but unless his playing time gets a spike soon, his scoring will tail off.
Feb 7 - 10:02 PM

Jeremy Lamb returned from a foot injury and played six minutes on Tuesday, hitting a 3-pointer for his only score of the game.

He hadn't played since Jan. 10 and doesn't have a big enough role in the rotation to make a fantasy difference in any leagues right now.
Feb 1 - 12:26 AM

Jeremy Lamb (foot) is probable to play Tuesday vs. Portland.

Lamb was available to play on Friday but wound up picking up a DNP-CD, so even if he does get on the court for Tuesday's game it'll likely be in a limited capacity. He belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Jan 30 - 5:17 PM

Jeremy Lamb (foot) wasn't in the rotation on Friday due to a lack of practice.

The Hornets didn't practice today, so you can assume Lamb won't be out there for this one. Marco Belinelli will back up the wings, but doesn't have much value right now with both starters playing well.
Jan 28 - 5:31 PM

Jeremy Lamb (foot) picked up a DNP-CD on Friday vs. the Knicks.

He was "available" to play, but the Hornets went with the hot hand off the bench in Marco Belinelli (15 points) tonight. Lamb has had a couple nice stretches this season, but he won't have a large role while Nicolas Batum is healthy.
Jan 27 - 10:50 PM

Jeremy Lamb (foot) will be active Friday night's game vs. the Knicks.

Lamb hasn't not played since January 10th. Assuming he plays on Friday, he will likely cut into Marco Belinelli's minutes, but other than that should have minimal fantasy impact. Lamb can be left on waiver wires.
Jan 27 - 6:08 PM

Jeremy Lamb (metatarsal inflammation) is questionable for Friday against the Knicks.

He was on the active roster on Wednesday, but he did not play. Lamb will likely be restricted upon his return and it's not like the Hornets don't have any depth right now. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 26 - 6:23 PM

Jeremy Lamb (foot) will not play Wednesday against the Warriors.

He might suit up and could be active, but he is not going to play. Lamb has been out since Jan. 13 and the Hornets haven't really missed him with Marco Belinelli filling in as a backup.
