Jeremy Lamb had 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one block in 33 minutes vs. the Nets on Wednesday, going 8-of-13 from the field with one 3-pointer.
It was Lamb's second straight start with Nicolas Batum (Achilles tendinitis) on the sidelines. Batum's return date is unclear and it depends on how he responds to treatment, which bodes well for Lamb -- Charlotte is 7.5 games out of the playoff picture and might as well keep Batum on the sidelines. Lamb has too much upside to leave unowned outside of shallow leagues. Mar 21 - 10:49 PM

Jeremy Lamb started on Monday vs. the 76ers, scoring 14 points (6-of-12 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs) with eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

We know Lamb is going to be productive when he gets the minutes, as he averaged 16.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.7 triples on 44.1% shooting in 14 previous starts. We don't know how long Nicolas Batum (Achilles) will be out, but with the Hornets well out of the playoff race, they have every reason to be cautious. With three more games this week, there's no reason why Lamb should be available on your wire.
Mar 19 - 10:24 PM

Jeremy Lamb will start in place of Nicolas Batum (Achilles) on Monday vs. the 76ers.

It's not clear how much time Batum will miss, but Lamb shouldn't be on the waiver wire for a four-game week. In 14 starts this season, Lamb has averaged 16.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.7 triples on 44.1% shooting. The Hornets open the week with three out of their four games from Monday-Thursday.
Mar 19 - 12:28 PM

Jeremy Lamb finished with six points across 20 minutes off the bench in Saturday's loss at New York.

Lamb hit 2-of-7 from the field, including 1-of-3 from behind the 3-point line, while adding two rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot. He could continue to see an increase in playing time heading into the new week if Nicolas Batum (Achilles') is forced to miss time after leaving Saturday's game due to soreness in his Achilles' tendon.
Mar 17 - 10:14 PM

Jeremy Lamb (back spams) made 3-of-8 FGs and 3-of-3 FTs for 11 points on Thursday, adding five rebounds, two 3-pointers and one assist in 25 minutes.

Lamb was questionable for this game but played through the ailment, and his solid playing time is all the proof you need that he was fine-- Charlotte led by 18 points after three quarters, so there was no need to push him. He should be ready to go vs. the Knicks on Saturday.
Mar 15 - 10:14 PM

Jeremy Lamb (back) will attempt to play against the Hawks on Thursday.

He was questionable due to back spasms and he hasn't exactly played well lately. Lamb would be a risky DFS play and may not be worth owning in most leagues.
Mar 15 - 6:11 PM

Jeremy Lamb (back spasms) is questionable to face the Hawks on Thursday.

It's a new injury for Lamb, who has cooled off a bit this month. In his previous March games, he averaged 12.2 points, 2.0 boards, 0.8 steals and 1.0 treys. The Hornets have hinted they may tweak their rotation at some point in March, so maybe they take it easy on Lamb.
Mar 14 - 3:43 PM

Jeremy Lamb finished with eight points, one rebound and one steal across 20 minutes off the bench in Friday's game at Philadelphia.

Lamb hit 3-of-7 from the field, including 1-of-2 from deep, but his playing time took a hit with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hamstring) back in action. He was averaging 26.0 minutes per game over the past two outings. His point total was his lowest since Feb. 8, snapping a four-game streak with double digits. He remains useful in 12-team fantasy leagues even when he is coming off the bench.
Mar 2 - 9:41 PM

Jeremy Lamb hit 7-of-9 shots and a 3-pointer for 15 points, one rebound and five assists in 27 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Bulls.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist went down with a hamstring injury and could miss time, and while Lamb's officially the next man up, the Hornets will likely start Dwayne Bacon or Treveon Graham to keep the rotation intact. If MKG's going to miss an extended period of time, Lamb will be worth owning in 12-team leagues, but Bacon and Graham aren't likely to be worth owning.
Feb 27 - 9:55 PM

Jeremy Lamb posted 13 points over 23 minutes off the bench in Friday's road win against the Wizards.

Lamb was a respectable 4-of-9 from the field, including 1-of-5 from behind the 3-point line, while adding 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. He also posted five rebounds, five assists and a steal with a strong plus-18 rating. Lamb remains a decent play for those in deepest formats.
Feb 23 - 10:42 PM

Jeremy Lamb sparked the Hornets to a 104-102 win on Wednesday with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, two 3-pointers, one steal and one block.

Lamb made 6-of-10 field goals and 3-of-3 free throws in 26 minutes, marking his highest playing time in over three weeks. He could get turned loose if the Hornets drift further out of the playoff picture, and is a decent proactive pickup in deeper leagues.
Feb 14 - 10:23 PM

Jeremy Lamb posted 10 points over 19 minutes off the bench in Friday's 106-94 loss at Utah.

Lamb hit 4-of-7 from the field, including 1-of-1 from behind the 3-point line and 1-of-1 from the free-throw line. He also added four rebounds, four steals and two assists. Lamb has been fairly productive off the bench lately, averaging 11.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals over the past six outings. He's a decent play in deeper fantasy formats.
Feb 9 - 11:48 PM

Jeremy Lamb finished Sunday's comeback win in Phoenix with 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.

The defensive stats are an aberration for Lamb, and this was actually his most combined steals and blocks since Apr. 14, 2016 -- the final game of the 2015-16 regular season. He added one 3-pointer with one turnover in 23 minutes on Sunday, so the only downside was his FG percentage. He's worth a look in deep leagues but it's hard to envision his role expanding while Charlotte is in the playoff hunt -- they're now 3.0 games behind Philly for the No. 8 seed.
Feb 4 - 5:59 PM

Jeremy Lamb scored 18 points with five rebounds, two assists, one block, one steal and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes against the Kings on Monday.

He's cooled off a tad, averaging 12.3 points, 4.6 boards, 1.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.3 treys and 0.4 blocks in his previous games this month, but his value gets a boost with the Kemba Walker trade rumors. Lamb should probably be owned everywhere with his mid-round upside in case Kemba or others are dealt.
Jan 22 - 10:05 PM

Jeremy Lamb scored 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting in Friday's win over the Jazz.

Lamb is easily having the best season of his career, but the Hornets don't rely on him too much when their roster is healthy. He's played 26 or fewer minutes in each of his last eight games, but he's still been productive with 12.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 triples in that span. He's a decent player to keep on the end of your roster and he could benefit if the Hornets are sellers at the trade deadline.
