The Mavs have invited former Cavaliers swingman D.J. Kennedy to training camp.
Kennedy was a D-League All-Star last year on his way to helping Rio Grande win it all. , named to the All-Star team during the ’12-13 campaign before helping the Rio Grande Valley Vipers win the title. The Grizzlies will re-sign D.J. Kennedy to a non-guaranteed training camp contract.

Kennedy was acquired in the trade that sent Jeremy Pargo to the Cavaliers, but Memphis likes him enough to keep him around for the preseason. He has an uphill battle to make any team's regular season roster.

Wingman D.J. Kennedy, who was recently signed for the rest of the season by the Cavs, played 31 minutes and led the Cavs with 12 points in his NBA debut on Tuesday.

He added six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers, and if you want to pick him up and use him for Thursday against the Bulls, he looks like a nice choice, as Kyrie Irving has already been ruled out.
