John Jenkins (concussion) has been cleared to play on Friday against the Grizzlies.

He might actually get some minutes with Devin Harris (hamstring) out for tonight. Jenkins can be left on the wire in just about all leagues.

Rick Carlisle said that he's hopeful John Jenkins (concussion) will be able to play Friday against the Grizzlies.

Jenkins will need to clear the league mandated concussion protocol testing to play, but even if he's cleared, he'd likely just play minutes in the low-teens with both Raymond Felton and J.J. Barea healthy. Jenkins is not a fantasy option in any league while the Mavs starters are healthy. For what it's worth, Jenkins is listed as questionable.

John Jenkins will miss Wednesday's game against the Pacers after suffering a concussion during Tuesday's practice.

Jenkins is out of the rotation any way, so his absence from the lineup tonight has zero consequence in fantasy hoops. He'll need to pass the league mandated concussion protocol testing before he can return to the court.

John Jenkins didn't play on Tuesday after scoring 17 points in a start last Thursday.

Jenkins may be out of the rotation with Wesley Matthews and Chandler Parsons back, and isn't helped by the fact the Mavs already have Raymond Felton, Devin Harris and J.J. Barea on the bench.

John Jenkins scored 17 points in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Clippers, adding six rebounds, three assists and two turnover in 35 minutes.

It was just like a preseason game as Jenkins basically just slides into Wes Matthews' minutes when he's out. Although, this may change with Chandler Parsons (knee) coming back, so DFS owners might want to be careful on the next night Wes is out.

John Jenkins will start at shooting guard and Jeremy Evans will start at small forward on Thursday against the Clippers.

It makes sense. Jenkins was basically the placeholder for Matthews in the preseason and that might be the case tonight. If so, Jenkins could have himself a nice game. He has very little value when Wes plays, though. Evans also logged a bunch of minutes at backup SF in the preseason.

John Jenkins played just four minutes and had one foul on Wednesday.

He was basically a place holder for Wes Matthews in the preseason. Jenkins can be dropped everywhere.

John Jenkins led the Mavericks with 22 points during Wednesday's loss to the Suns, hitting 9-of-20 shots with one 3-pointer, four rebounds and two assists.

He committed only two turnovers in 38 minutes and responded well to some early-game criticism from Rick Carlisle about over-dribbling. Jenkins got an extended audition with Deron Williams (calf) ailing and Devin Harris resting, so this doesn't have real implications for his regular-season role.

John Jenkins played 37 minutes in a start on Monday, finishing with 26 points, six rebounds, two assists, seven turnovers and two 3-pointers.

He was 5-of-13 from the field and 14-of-16 from the line. Jenkins may actually get a chance to start in place of Wesley Matthews (Achilles), but he will fall behind guys like J.J. Barea once the team is healthy. Don't overreact to Jenkins' big preseason.

John Jenkins has continued to impress this preseason, and he's confident about his role once the regular season begins.

"I came here competing for minutes," Jenkins said. "I knew if I played my game, I wouldn’t be in any discussion about making the team. My skill level is there and I work hard. That speaks for itself. I’m coming for minutes." Having emerged with "serious consideration" to crack the regular season rotation, Jenkins ranks behind Kyle Lowry, Damian Lillard and Anthony Davis as the preseason's fourth-leading scorer.

John Jenkins scored 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds and two assists over 20 minutes in Friday's preseason loss to the Hawks.

Jenkins is getting a moderate amount of hype out of Dallas and beyond, but there's not enough to hold onto here to make him worth drafting in anything but the deepest leagues. If he carries the momentum over into the season, holds down a rotation slot, and gets some injury assistance ahead of him then be ready to move.

John Jenkins started and hit 11-of-18 shots and two 3-pointers for 26 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 29 minutes of Tuesday's loss to the Thunder.

He's impressed his coach this preseason and was dynamic tonight. With Wesley Matthews still without a clear timetable for a return, Jenkins could be a sneaky pick-and-play early in the season. Dirk Nowitzki, Matthews, Chandler Parsons and Deron Williams all sat this one out for the Mavs, so Jenkins' line is a little misleading.

Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle has been impressed by John Jenkins.

"The learning curve is always going to be there with young players," Carlisle said. "You know, we’ve got some young guys that are getting a real chance to play and are learning things. That said, I really like Jenkins. You know, Jenkins has played a real aggressive game both of the last two nights. He’s shown he can handle the ball a little bit. He’s done a good job, and he’s got to continue doing what he’s been doing." Jenkins could carve out a decent role off the bench if he continues to impress, so owners in deeper leagues can simply add him to their watch list for now.

John Jenkins led the Mavericks with 19 points in 29 minutes on Wednesday, hitting three 3-pointers with five rebounds and two blocks.

The Mavs deployed a brutal starting lineup - Raymond Felton, Jenkins, Justin Anderson, Charlie Villanueva and Samuel Dalembert. It's great to see Jenkins step up when his team needs him, but this is a quintessential preseason performance -- he hadn't scored 19 points or blocked two shots in any game over the past two seasons. Ignore him unless Wes Matthews (Achilles) suffers a setback.
