Andrew Nicholson will start next to Aaron Gordon at the forward spots against the Nets on Wednesday.
Nicholson has had some awful stretches and he's likely going to share minutes with Dewayne Dedmon. Unless you really need threes and boards from a PF, Nicholson isn't a great play. Apr 15 - 6:54 PM

Andrew Nicholson will slide into the starting lineup for Friday's game vs. the Pistons with Dewayne Dedmon (ankle) unavailable.

This will be Nicholson's second start of the season. He managed to put up 13 points, six rebounds and three assists during his last stint with the starting unit, but he's only worth a look as a last-minute streamer option in very deep leagues.
Mar 27 - 6:56 PM

Andrew Nicholson started Sunday's game in place of Dewayne Dedmon (ankle), making 6-of-9 field goals on his way to 13 points, six boards and three assists in just 22 minutes.

Nicholson might have played more, especially with Channing Frye (illness) also unavailable, but he racked up five personal fouls in quick succession. There's no reason to target Nicholson with Dedmon and Frye both questionable to return on Wednesday.
Mar 22 - 8:51 PM

Andrew Nicholson will start at PF on Sunday with Dewayne Dedmon (ankle) and Channing Frye (illness) both unavailable.

Nicholson scored nine points in 18 minutes on Friday, his highest-scoring game in weeks, and he's an unreliable fantasy option despite the starting nod. Kyle O'Quinn and Aaron Gordon will also vie for minutes at PF, and the situation is too murky for any of them to have reliable value.
Mar 22 - 5:11 PM

Andrew Nicholson tied his season-high with 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting vs. the Hornets, making one 3-pointer with four rebounds and one block in just 17 minutes.

This was the third time all season that he's scored double-digit points, which says plenty about his lack of fantasy appeal. Nicholson has at least seen daylight under interim coach James Borrego but he still belongs on the waiver wire.
Mar 1 - 8:55 PM

Orlando management is reportedly reluctant to trade away Andrew Nicholson for a minimal return, as they would like to see if new head coach James Borrego will be able to better utilize him.

Nicholson hasn't even stepped on the court since coach Jacque Vaughn was fired, so it's unlikely he'll suddenly become a relevant part of Orlando's rotation any time soon. He's averaging 3.1 points and 1.3 rebounds on the year, and he can remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.
Feb 17 - 4:57 PM

The Magic are reportedly open to trading Andrew Nicholson.

It doesn't come as a huge surprise that the Magic are open to trading a player who isn't part of their normal rotation, but the question is if there are any suitors. Nicholson could help a team in need of frontcourt depth like the Mavericks, but he can be ignored in even the deepest fantasy leagues at this point.
Feb 12 - 11:57 AM

Andrew Nicholson picked up a DNP-CD on Tuesday vs. the Pelicans.

This was a little surprising considering Channing Frye (knee) still isn't available, and that Klye O'Quinn was in foul trouble most of the night. Needless to say, Nicholson belongs on the waiver wire.

The Magic picked up Andrew Nicholson's fourth-year contract option on Sunday.

Nicholson averaged 10.4 points, 4.4 boards, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals in Orlando's final five preseason games. He's vowed to move back into the paint this season, after drifting toward the perimeter too often last year, but that's unlikely to salvage his fantasy value with Kyle O'Quinn coming on strong in the frontcourt.

Andrew Nicholson was superb against the Sixers on Saturday with 23 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals.

The Magic rested a lot of guys, so Nicholson had a great opportunity in an awesome matchup. Of course, he's way down the depth chart and has squandered close to a dozen chances, so he can be ignored in all fantasy leagues.

Coach Jacque Vaughn said he's very impressed with the conditioning of Andrew Nicholson.

Nicholson said he's "gone back to basics" this summer after he had a letdown sophomore season. He doesn't have much of a low-post game and couldn't even step when the team needed him to. Fantasy owners can ignore him.

Magic PF Andrew Nicholson said he is "going back to basics" this summer, following a disappointing sophomore season.

Nicholson's FG percentage plummetted from 52.7 percent as a rookie to just 42.9 percent last year, and his shot charts explain the problem. As a rookie, 47.3 percent of his attempts came in the paint and he didn't attempt a single 3-pointer. In his second season, 27.6 percent of his attempts came in the paint and he launched 89 triples (connecting on only 28 of them). Getting back into the paint could do him a world of favors.

Andrew Nicholson scored 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting with three treys, four rebounds and one block in 21 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Nicholson's highly leveraged line including a career-high three treys is fluky, but we have seen mini-explosions from him in the past. Anything is possible during silly season, so give him a look if you're feeling lucky.

Andrew Nicholson started at power forward and did not score in 13 minutes, adding three rebounds against the Bobcats on Friday.

Nikola Vucevic (Achilles) was a late scratch and coach Jacque Vaughn probably didn't want to get away from his rotation tonight, so he just threw Nicholson out there as a quick fix. While he has some range as a jump shooter, Nicholson can't really do anything else and is off the fantasy radar.

Andrew Nicholson did not score against the Raptors on Sunday in 13 minutes of action.

He did not score in Friday's game and has been a disappointment this season. The Magic really wanted to develop him as a stretch four, but his game has more holes than St. Andrews golf course. Nicholson's potential 3-point upside is not worth owning in almost any league right now.
