Will Barton will not agree to a contract extension with the Nuggets this offseason.
It's a no-brainer move for Barton, as he can make a lot more money if he waits until he hits free agency in the summer of 2018. With one year left on his deal and the Nuggets loaded with depth at shooting guard, Barton is a prime trade candidate. He finished the 2016-17 season with averages of 13.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.5 triples on 44.3 percent shooting. Apr 30 - 1:11 PM

Will Barton (left foot soreness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Thunder.

The Nuggets have nothing to play for, so it wouldn't make much sense for Barton to get out there and risk a setback. With Barton watching Wednesday's game from the sidelines, Malik Beasley could again be flirting with 30-plus minutes off the bench, so he could be worth a DFS punt play tonight after popping off for 16 points, five boards, two dimes, two triples, two steals and zero turnovers on Tuesday.
Apr 12 - 12:22 PM

Will Barton (left foot soreness) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game vs. Dallas will also likely sit out Wednesday's game vs. OKC.

Barton had missed each of the Nuggets last five games but appeared to be inching closer to a return late last week. However, with Denver's playoff hopes now extinguished, there is no reason for him to hurry back and risk reaggravating the injury with just two meaningless games remaining in the regular season. Jamal Murray and Gary Harris will continue to see additional minutes in Barton's absence.
Apr 11 - 12:07 PM

Will Barton (left foot soreness) is probable to play Tuesday vs. the Mavericks.

Barton was expected to play on Sunday but never actually made his way to the court, although it's looking like he'll be able to return from the six-game absence on Tuesday night. Assuming Barton does play, he'll likely take away some minutes from guys like Gary Harris and Danilo Gallinari.
Apr 10 - 3:20 PM

Will Barton (foot) didn't play vs. the Thunder on Sunday.

Barton was expected to "give it a go," according to coach Mike Malone, but he wound up riding the bench all night. Owners should consider him questionable to return on Tuesday. If he can't suit up, expect Jamal Murray and Gary Harris to gain the most in his absence.
Apr 9 - 7:55 PM

Nuggets' head coach Mike Malone said that Will Barton (foot) and Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle) will "give it a go" Sunday vs. the Thunder.

With Barton back in action, Gary Harris and Jamal Murray's minutes could take a slight hit, and Wilson Chandler will likely return to the starting lineup. Mudiay didn't look great while going through his pregame routine, so he might only be getting minutes in the teens tonight.

Will Barton (left foot) is questionable to play against the Thunder on Sunday.

It'll be the second time he's been listed as questionable. Barton was ruled out in the afternoon on Friday, so maybe he'll be a game-time call. If he can't go, Gary Harris gets another small bump to what has been a magnificent finish to his season.
Apr 8 - 4:10 PM

Will Barton (left foot soreness) has been ruled out of Friday's game vs. the Pelicans.

This will be the fifth straight game Barton has missed. He belongs on the waiver wire. Wilson Chandler, Gary Harris and Danilo Gallinari will continue to soak up extra minutes with Barton sidelined.
Apr 7 - 12:52 PM

Will Barton (left foot soreness) is questionable to face the Pelicans on Friday.

He's missed the last four games, but he was ruled out during warmups on Wednesday. In other words, Barton is likely going to be a game-time decision. With the Nuggets having most of their wing depth right now, Barton is not someone fantasy owners should count on the rest of the season. His return could take a few minutes away from Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried, Gary Harris and Danilo Gallinari.
Apr 6 - 5:44 PM

Will Barton (foot) will not play against the Rockets on Wednesday.

He was doubtful to play and will miss at least four games. The Nuggets are getting some help now with Jameer Nelson (calf) likely back, so maybe the Nuggets will shift Jamal Murray over to the two on occasion. Expect to see plenty of Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler at the forward spots.
Apr 5 - 6:38 PM

Will Barton (foot) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.

He's missed the last three games due to his foot injury and was "making good progress" on Tuesday. With Barton out, it's been Gary Harris getting huge minutes at the two while Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler hold down the forward minutes.
Apr 5 - 2:16 PM

Will Barton (foot) said he's hoping to return soon and is "making good progress," but will not play Tuesday vs. the Pelicans.

This will be the third straight game Barton has missed. Denver also plays again on Wednesday vs. Houston and Friday vs. New Orleans. It sounds like there is a chance he may be able to suit up for one of those contests. However, Barton can be let go in standard leagues in order to clear a valuable roster spot during fantasy playoffs. Wilson Chandler and Kenneth Faried will continue to see additional minutes with Barton sidelined.
Apr 4 - 12:10 PM

Will Barton (foot) is questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans.

He's in danger of missing his third game in a row. Wilson Chandler and Kenneth Faried have each posted one dud and one awesome game since Barton went down, but both players should have some decent value this week with four games on the schedule. As for Barton, he's still a drop candidate unless we hear good news soon.
Apr 3 - 1:38 PM

Will Barton (foot) will not play in Sunday's game vs. the Heat.

This will be his second game in a row on the shelf and it's not a good sign that he's being ruled out several hours before tip-off. His minutes were trending down anyways, so he's a drop candidate in most leagues. Barring a change, the Nuggets will likely continue to bring Wilson Chandler off the bench with Kenneth Faried sticking in the first unit.
Apr 2 - 10:52 AM

Will Barton (foot), Jameer Nelson (calf), Darrell Arthur (knee) and Mason Plumlee (abdominal contusion) are all listed as questionable for Sunday at Miami.

Barton did not play against the Hornets on Friday and was ruled out before warmups were over, so he may be a game-time decision for this game. If he can't go, the Nuggets would likely bring Wilson Chandler off the bench again, which helps Kenneth Faried after his 18-point, 13-board Friday. Juancho Hernangomez would also be in the rotation.
