DeAndre Liggins and Darius Miller will start against the Rockets on Saturday.
With Nikola Mirotic and Rajon Rondo out, coach Alvin Gentry gets a little wild with the starters today. Miller should get plenty of chances to hoist treys while Ian Clark should see more minutes than Liggins. Mar 24 - 7:50 PM

Darius Miller dropped 20 points with one assist, one block and four triples in 33 minutes vs. the Wizards on Friday.

Anthony Davis (ankle) sat this one out and no one else was hitting shots, so Miller stepped up. He does have some low-end appeal when Davis is on the shelf, but coach Alvin Gentry was optimistic that AD would be back on Sunday. For that reason, Miller is only worth monitoring unless we get bad news.
Mar 9 - 10:59 PM

Darius Miller scored nine points with one rebound, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes against the Kings on Wednesday.

If Anthony Davis (ankle) is going to miss time, Miller could be looking at a few extra minutes. On the other hand, he's left a lot to be desired on the stat sheet over his last five, averaging 4.8 points, 2.0 boards, 2.2 assists and 1.2 treys. He's only a speculative add in very deep leagues for now.
Mar 8 - 12:55 AM

Darius Miller went scoreless with just one assist and one steal in 23 minutes on Sunday, but the Pelicans still won their eighth consecutive game.

Miller fills his role admirably as a 3-and-D bench option, but it's not a role conducive to reliable fantasy value. Nevertheless, he's been an integral part of the Pelicans' recent success -- they've scored 118+ points in a franchise-best eight straight games, all of which have been victories.
Mar 4 - 10:01 PM

Darius Miller hit 6-of-8 shots with four 3-pointers en route to 19 points on Wednesday, adding four assists and three rebounds in 31 minutes.

Pelicans tied their franchise record with 139 points tonight, powered by a huge game from Anthony Davis (42 points) and a big lift from the second unit. New Orleans ranks 29th in bench scoring, ahead of only the Wolves, but games like this could become more common if Nikola Mirotic is deployed as a reserve. When he's not torching the Lakers defense, though, Miller is just a fringe 3-point specialist.
Feb 15 - 12:12 AM

Darius Miller scored 13 points with six rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the 76ers on Friday.

Don't let the playing time fool you because this was all about the garbage time in a 100-82 loss. Miller's playing time will likely be closer to 20 minutes most nights, which won't give him enough value in most leagues.
Feb 9 - 9:21 PM

Darius Miller finished with just three points on 1-of-6 shooting in Sunday's home loss against the Clippers.

Miller was able to add three assists, two rebounds and a blocked shot across his 27 minutes off the bench, but he hurt the team more than he helped for most of the outing. He and Dante Cunningham will be doing the heavy lifting, trying to fill the void after DeMarcus Cousins went down with a season-ending Achilles' injury this week. It wasn't a good start for the tandem, as they combined for just 11 points, nine rebounds and three assists on 4-of-13 shooting.
Jan 28 - 7:14 PM

Darius Miller finished with 20 points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal over 29 minutes in Friday's 115-113 win against the Rockets.

Miller hit 6-of-11 from the field, including 6-of-10 from behind the arc, while adding 2-of-2 from the free-throw stripe. He could be in line for a huge bump in production and responsibilities, as DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles') left the game late due to injury. Boogie will have an MRI to determine the severity of his injury. If he is forced to the shelf, Miller and Dante Cunningham should be among the biggest beneficiaries.
Jan 26 - 11:18 PM

Darius Miller came off the bench and hit 3-of-10 shots (all 3-pointers) for 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a steal in 41 minutes of Monday's overtime win against the Bulls.

This was his first 40-minute game of the season, while starter Rajon Rondo played just 15 minutes tonight. Miller has actually been playing well lately, averaging 13 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.7 3-pointers over his last three, playing 34 minutes in them. If you're in a deep league and need 3-pointers, he's worth a look.
Jan 22 - 11:43 PM

Darius Miller sank 7-of-9 shots to finish Wednesday's game with 17 points, three 3-pointers, three rebounds, one assist and one steal.

This was the second game in a back-to-back set for the Pelicans, and coach Alvin Gentry basically went with whichever players had gas in the tank. Miller hasn't scored double-digit points in consecutive games since Dec. 1-2 and we're not expecting this to be the start of a hot streak.
Jan 17 - 11:03 PM

Darius Miller stepped up with 16 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 2-of-4 from behind the arc, in Friday's win against the Blazers.

Miller also contributed two assists, a blocked shot and was 6-of-6 from the free-throw stripe. It was a much needed performance, as he had single-digit point totals in each of his past seven outings. He is a solid fantasy option for his work behind the 3-point line, as he ranks in the Top 10 in 3-point field goal percentage. However, he remains useful mostly to those in deeper formats at this time.
Jan 13 - 12:59 AM

Darius Miller attributed his success this season to the attention DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis demand from the opposition.

"I get a lot of open looks here with all of the attention that our star players bring to themselves," Miller said. "[Davis and Cousins] are two of the best big men in the league. And I’ve known them for a while, so they’re good friends of mine. It’s just always fun to be in an environment like that when you’re trying to play basketball." Entering Thursday's slate of games, Miller was tied for fifth in the NBA in 3-point field goal percentage at 45.5%

Darius Miller posted nine points with two rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes on Friday in Orlando.

All nine of his points and shot attempts came from long distance, finishing 3-of-7 from the field. He led the team with an impressive plus-20 rating. While the perimeter shooting was solid, he failed to hit double digits in points for the fourth straight game, and eighth time in the past nine outings.

Darius Miller struggled on Tuesday with two points, two rebounds and one assist on 1-of-5 shooting in 25 minutes.

Miller isn't a well-rounded fantasy option, so when he's not scoring and hitting 3-pointers, he's hurting your fantasy teams. This snapped a streak of 22 consecutive games with at least one 3-pointer made, and we expect him to start a new streak vs. the Magic on Friday -- Orlando is allowing opponents to shoot 38.0% from deep this season, the fourth-highest mark in the league.

Darius Miller started in place of Anthony Davis (thigh) on Monday vs. the Rockets, scoring 10 points on 4-of-10 shots.

Dante Cunningham (knee) was a late scratch, so Miller played a season-high 39 minutes. He took seven 3-point shots on the night and connected on two of them, adding four assists, three rebounds and one steal. Miller has been a sneaky source of fantasy value all season for his 3-point shooting and will be a nice short-term option if Davis needs to miss more time. Since Nov. 3, Miller has hit at least two triples in 17 out of 20 games.
