Former NBA swingman Darius Miller has agreed to a three-year deal with the German team Brose Baskets.
He played with the same team during the 2015 season and obviously fared well for the Bamberg-based club, leading to a deal that will keep him overseas until he's at least 27 years old. Sun, Aug 16, 2015 07:24:00 PM

Darius Miller has signed with Brose Baskets Bamberg of the German league.

Miller had previously worked out with the Los Angeles Clippers, but the Clippers decided to pass on the swingman. The 24-year-old shouldn't be owned in any fantasy leagues, but he can now be cut if any owners in deep leagues were holding on.

The Clippers decided not to sign Darius Miller, but head coach and president of basketball operations Doc Rivers said the team may decide to sign him at a later date.

"If he had come in great [shape], we probably still would have waited just to try to get him in basketball shape," Rivers said. "I'm sure that's what he's going to do." Doc said the Clippers would consider signing Miller to a 10-day contract later this season, but he won't have any fantasy value even if that happens.

Darius Miller is not expected to sign with the Clippers as they have decided to pursue Dahntay Jones instead.

This move from the Clippers has almost zero fantasy implications, as neither player would have been in the rotation anyways. We will let you know when the deal is official, but feel free to leave them both on the waiver wire.

The Clippers have reportedly signed Darius Miller to a 10-day deal.

Miller doesn't offer much upside, and he'll be entering a crowded rotation in Los Angeles. He can safely remain on the waiver wire in nearly all leagues.

The Pelicans have waived Darius Miller and Patric Young.

Miller was a surprise start on Tuesday, and was waived on Sunday. He may be able to sign on with another team, but unless that team is the 76ers, his fantasy value will be negligible. Young hadn't even got off the bench this season, and he'll likely head to the D-League.

Darius Miller was a DNP-CD on Friday.

He started on Tuesday and is shooting 14.3 percent from the field this season. Miller has no fantasy value.

Darius Miller will head to the bench on Friday, with Austin Rivers drawing the start at SG, and Tyreke Evans sliding over to SF.

Miller was a surprise start on Tuesday, but finished that game scoreless while adding doughnuts to each statistical category over 14 minutes of action. The start was surprising because he had no business being in a starting lineup, and he probably won't run with the starting unit again this season unless some serious injuries force coach Monty Williams’ hand. Miller can be cut in nearly all leagues.

Darius Miller made his first start of the season at SF on Tuesday, but he finished scoreless with zero stats to his credit in 14 minutes of action.

Tyreke Evans slid over to SG with Eric Gordon (shoulder) out indefinitely, and the early results with Miller at SF speak for themselves. Head coach Monty Williams will likely toy around with his lineups in the coming games, and Miller's fantasy offerings are too limited to reach for him outside of deeper leagues.

The Pelicans are expected to start Darius Miller in place of Eric Gordon (shoulder) on Tuesday against the Kings.

Tyreke Evans will move over to shooting guard, which is a position he thrived in last season. Obviously, Miller is not going to be the main answer here with several DNP-CDs, only 7.3 minutes per game, and 25.0 percent shooting this season. In fact, his big outlier was a 17-minute outing during the Pelicans beatdown of the Wolves 139-91 back on Nov. 14. He's only worth a look in an extremely deep league.

Darius Miller returned to practice on Tuesday following the birth of his daughter, and will be available for Wednesday's game.

This is good news for the Pelicans and they will also get Luke Babbitt (finger) back for Wednesday's game. However, neither player will see enough minutes to warrant your attention and they can be left on the waiver wire in almost all leagues.

Darius Miller (personal) is inactive for Saturday's game.

He is with his fiancé as they welcome their daughter into the world. Miller doesn't play enough minutes to matter in most fantasy leagues and we expect John Salmons to pick up a few extra minutes with the Pelicans on Saturday, but not enough to matter in most leagues.

Pelicans swingman Darius Miller is not available on Tuesday due to personal issues.

We'll consider him day-to-day until the Pelicans provide an update, but his absence shouldn't have any impact on fantasy owners. With John Salmons (personal) and Luke Babbitt (finger) also out on Tuesday, starting SF Tyreke Evans should get all the playing time he can handle.

Darius Miller was the only player who didn't leave the bench during the Pelicans' opener on Tuesday.

The third-year pro notched career-highs in most categories last season, including points (4.4), FG percentage (44.0 percent), 3-pointers (0.6), assists (1.0), steals (0.5) and minutes (16.1). Tonight's DNP-CD rules him out of contention for fantasy value.

Darius Miller started again for the Pelicans on Wednesday but hit just 1-of-7 shots (a 3-pointer) for three points, one assist and two steals.

He's started at small forward in two of the Pels three preseason games, but keep in mind that Tyreke Evans is out with a hamstring injury. If Miller is still starting on opening night, he might be worth a daily flier in deep leagues, but that's a long shot.
