The Clippers will sign Maalik Wayns for the rest of the season.

The only time we've discussed him in 2013 was about him signing 10-day contracts, which should tell you all you need to know about his fantasy value.

Clippers re-sign Maalik Wayns to another 10-day contract.

Wayns' last blurb was to tell you that the Clippers signed him, and that's a strong indication of his relevance in fantasy leagues.

Clippers sign Maalik Wayns to a 10-day contract.

Wayns played for the Sixers earlier this season, and now he'll join the Clippers. With Jamal Crawford (ankle) banged up and Chauncey Billups' unpredictable health, the move makes some sense.

The Sixers let the 10-day contract of Maalik Wayns expire without renewing it.

The team signed Shelvin Mack instead, and Wayns will look to latch on elsewhere.
Jan 17 - 11:40 AM

Sixers re-signed PG Maalik Wayns to a 10-day contract.

Wayns was released on Sunday so the Sixers didn't have to guarantee his contract for the entire season. After an impressive training camp, the speedy rookie has struggled mightily while battling with Royal Ivey for scraps behind Jrue Holiday. Wayns is shooting a woeful 24.2 percent (16-of-66) from the field.
Jan 8 - 5:22 PM

The Sixers are expected to re-sign Maalik Wayns, likely to a 10-day contract.

Wayns was waived before contracts were guaranteed for the season, so the Sixers could choose to simply bring him back after he clears waivers if they're interested in going that route.
Jan 7 - 1:44 PM

The Sixers waived Maalik Wayns on Sunday.

After an eye-catching preseason, Wayns played just 7.8 minutes per game in his rookie season. Monday has a deadline to waive players with non-guaranteed deals or else they become guaranteed and Wayns could wind up back with the Sixers if he clears waivers.

Maalik Wayns (foot) was a DNP-CD on Friday against the Hawks.

We're not sure if it was Wayns' foot that kept him off the court, but we're pulling him off the injury report until we hear that it did. He has no fantasy value.

Doug Collins says Maalik Wayns (foot) will be available if the Sixers need to use him Friday.

Wayns is unlikely to make much of an impact even if Collins needs him. He's averaging just 2.4 points over 18 games this season.

Maalik Wayns suffered a left foot injury in Wednesday's game and X-rays were negative.

Wayns got the start with Jrue Holiday out and he had two points in 14 minutes. He will be a game-time decision for Friday's game and has microscopic fantasy value.

With Jrue Holiday out, Maalik Wayns will start at point guard for the Sixers on Wednesday.

Wayns quietly had nine assists on Tuesday night, but hit just 1-of-7 shots in 21 minutes. Nick Young will come off the bench, but don't expect much from Wayns beyond tonight, as there is a chance Holiday will be back on Friday.

Doug Collins said that Maalik Wayns has to work on his on-ball defense in order to stay on the floor consistently.

Collins likes Wayns' ability to help on the offensive end, but it's a game played at both ends of the floor. "We want him going in the right direction," Collins said. He's worth watching in extremely deep leagues, but that's about it.

Doug Collins said Maalik Wayns wasn't "himself" for two weeks following a head injury.

Wayns had a season-high 10 points and added two 3-pointers in 13 minutes Tuesday and appears to have a solid hold on the Sixers' backup PG job. Collins also said he trusts Wayns to take his shots and if you're in a deep league, he could be worth watching.
