Mike Scott (back) is not on the injury report for Game 1 against the Nets on Sunday.
That means he should be ready to go. Scott suffered his back injury on Monday and missed the finale on Wednesday. He should have minutes in the mid-teens, but that's assuming Paul Millsap's shoulder holds up. Apr 18 - 2:10 PM

Date:

Mike Scott (back) made it through practice on Saturday and is expected to be available for Sunday's game vs. the Nets.

Scott has been a key contributor off the bench for the Hawks, and his presence is even more important considering Paul Millsap isn't 100 percent. We will have another update after shootaround Sunday, but things are definitely looking up for Atlanta.
Apr 18 - 1:00 PM

Mike Scott (back) was a limited participant in practice on Friday and will be evaluated this weekend.

"He is progressing," coach Mike Budenholzer said. "We’ll know more between now and (Game 1) Sunday. I don’t think we can say either way that he is definitely in or definitely out. He went through a lot of practice today. We’ll see how he feels today and Sunday. We are hopeful he’ll be ready to go." With Paul Millsap back, Scott isn't going to be as important. If he's limited Mike Muscala would get more run with the second unit.
Apr 17 - 3:22 PM

Mike Scott (back contusion) will not travel to Chicago for Wednesday's game vs. the Bulls.

With Paul Millsap's (shoulder) status up in the air for Tuesday, and Scott out, Mike Muscala could be in line for a healthy heaping of minutes. He has however been struggling lately, scoring just two and five points in his previous two outings, so he'll be a risky play in daily leagues despite the increased opportunity.
Apr 14 - 2:20 PM

Mike Scott led the Hawks with 19 points on 6-of-15 shooting vs. the Wizards, hitting three 3-pointers with three rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes off the bench.

The Hawks' reserve forward has explosive offensive potential, as evidenced by his averages of 17.0 points and 2.1 triples per 36 minutes this season. He's averaging only 16.2 minutes per game this season and will be limited with the Hawks' starters returning on Monday, however, so don't put too much stock in tonight's outburst.
Apr 12 - 8:53 PM

Mike Scott came off the bench to hit 7-of-14 shots and two 3-pointers for 20 points and eight rebounds in Wednesday's win over the Nets.

The Hawks are thrilled to have him back and Scott looked great in his 31 minutes tonight. Atlanta will probably continue to try to get him touches in preparation for the playoffs, so he looks like a sneaky addition right now in fantasy leagues. Just keep in mind that the return of Paul Millsap, possibly Friday, would hurt Scott's minutes, at least in theory.
Apr 8 - 11:02 PM

Mike Scott played 10 minutes in his return to the lineup on Saturday with two points, two boards, two assists and one steal.

With Paul Millsap (shoulder) going down, Scott could wind up getting some minutes. There's no way the Hawks will rush Millsap back, so Scott could wind up getting 20-24 minutes very soon. Considering how much time he missed, we'd rather pick up Mike Muscala. All fantasy owners should be watching him and not just for the emoji tattoos.
Apr 4 - 10:52 PM

Mike Scott (toe) is available to play against the Nets on Saturday and the Hawks will not rest players.

They're at home so this isn't a surprise to see the starters are a go. Scott probably won't be unleashed tonight and he can be kept on the wire. The Hawks have a road game on Wednesday, so Scott might have value in that game.
Apr 4 - 5:52 PM

Mike Scott (toe) is questionable to play against the Nets on Saturday.

He went through a full practice and his foot injury healed faster than expected. If Scott gets back to 100 percent next week, he'll have a nice chance to post a big line on Wednesday in Brooklyn because the Hawks are on a road back-to-back for that one. Just keep that in mind for now.
Apr 3 - 4:39 PM

Mike Scott (toe) went through a full practice on Friday.

Scott is getting close to making a return to the court, but with averages of just 7.5 points and 1.0 three-pointer per game on the season, he's not an option in standard leagues. Leave him on the wire.
Apr 3 - 1:31 PM

Mike Scott (toe) is no longer required to wear his walking boot.

He's currently in the second week of his 2-4 week timetable, so he's inching his way closer to a return. However, with season averages of just 7.5 points and 1.0 three-pointer per game, it's safe to leave Scott on the wire in all leagues.
Mar 27 - 7:10 PM

Mike Scott (toe) is expected to miss 2-4 weeks of action.

Initial reports had him out for 4-6 weeks, so this timetable is an improvement. However, that timeline still essentially ends Scott's fantasy season, and he can be dropped in all leagues at this point. Elton Brand and Pero Antic will pick up Scott's reserve minutes, but they won't do enough to matter in standard leagues.
Mar 20 - 7:08 PM

Mike Scott is expected to miss anywhere from 4-6 weeks due to a broken toe according to Yahoo Sports.

It's a tough blow for the Hawks, but the good news is that Scott should be ready in plenty of time for the playoffs. It's safe to drop Scott in almost all leagues following this news, and Elton Brand and Peron Antic will likely see a few extra minutes off the bench for the foreseeable future, though neither player is an attractive option.
Mar 15 - 9:04 AM

The Hawks have confirmed that Mike Scott has a broken toe, and it's possible that he could be out until the playoffs.

He is expected to meet with a doctor on Monday, so we should be able to provide further details soon. In Scott's absence, Pero Antic and Elton Brand will likely be asked to play more minutes off the bench, but they aren't viable options in most leagues. At this point in the season, it's safe to drop Scott across the board.
Mar 14 - 12:48 PM

Mike Scott may have suffered a broken big toe and would be out indefinitely.

He is expected to visit a foot specialist in the coming days to confirm the diagnosis. If Scott does indeed have a broken toe, he would have a very slim chance to return to action during the regular season. The Hawks would likely use more stretch fours along with Mike Muscala, Pero Antic or Elton Brand.
