Mike Scott (toe) is no longer required to wear his walking boot.
He's currently in the second week of his 2-4 week timetable, so he's inching his way closer to a return. However, with season averages of just 7.5 points and 1.0 three-pointer per game, it's safe to leave Scott on the wire in all leagues. Mar 27 - 7:10 PM

Mike Scott (toe) is expected to miss 2-4 weeks of action.

Initial reports had him out for 4-6 weeks, so this timetable is an improvement. However, that timeline still essentially ends Scott's fantasy season, and he can be dropped in all leagues at this point. Elton Brand and Pero Antic will pick up Scott's reserve minutes, but they won't do enough to matter in standard leagues.
Mar 20 - 7:08 PM

Mike Scott is expected to miss anywhere from 4-6 weeks due to a broken toe according to Yahoo Sports.

It's a tough blow for the Hawks, but the good news is that Scott should be ready in plenty of time for the playoffs. It's safe to drop Scott in almost all leagues following this news, and Elton Brand and Peron Antic will likely see a few extra minutes off the bench for the foreseeable future, though neither player is an attractive option.
Mar 15 - 9:04 AM

The Hawks have confirmed that Mike Scott has a broken toe, and it's possible that he could be out until the playoffs.

He is expected to meet with a doctor on Monday, so we should be able to provide further details soon. In Scott's absence, Pero Antic and Elton Brand will likely be asked to play more minutes off the bench, but they aren't viable options in most leagues. At this point in the season, it's safe to drop Scott across the board.
Mar 14 - 12:48 PM

Mike Scott may have suffered a broken big toe and would be out indefinitely.

He is expected to visit a foot specialist in the coming days to confirm the diagnosis. If Scott does indeed have a broken toe, he would have a very slim chance to return to action during the regular season. The Hawks would likely use more stretch fours along with Mike Muscala, Pero Antic or Elton Brand.
Mar 13 - 10:21 PM

Mike Scott (toe) will not play in Phoenix on Friday night.

He has been a nice piece for their bench, averaging 7.5 points, 2.7 boards and 1.0 treys in 15.8 minutes per game. With Scott out, there could be more minutes for Pero Antic, Mike Muscala and Elton Brand. There's no need to make any fantasy moves with Scott out.
Mar 13 - 2:40 PM

Mike Scott (toe) is being listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Suns.

If Scott is forced to sit on Friday, Pero Antic would likely pick up most of his reserve minutes, but that doesn't mean much in standard leagues.
Mar 12 - 4:03 PM

Mike Scott scored 11 points off the bench against the 76ers on Saturday with seven boards, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes.

The extra playing time came because of Paul Millsap getting some rest. Scott is a very nice fit for the Hawks with his scoring off the bench and he should continue to be the best bet for production when Millsap sits. Sapper isn't hurt, so Scott can be kept on the wire.
Mar 7 - 10:15 PM

Mike Scott scored 17 points in 17 minutes against the Warriors on Friday with two rebounds and three 3-pointers.

He was tremendous at the end of the third and scored eight points in just 1:01. Scott doesn't log many minutes and is just at 15.0 per game on the season, so he's not going to have much fantasy value while Paul Millsap is healthy. He leads the NBA in emoji tattoos, but is not worth owning in most leagues.
Feb 7 - 12:12 AM

Mike Scott, who had a season-high 20 points on Monday, hit just 1-of-6 shots for five points in 19 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Pacers.

Scott was great on Monday, but it was a fluke. Tonight's fluke was Pero Antic, who had 12 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers, and you can expect a different bench player to step up against OKC on Friday, because that's how the Hawks roll this season.
Jan 22 - 12:18 AM

The Hawks reeled off their 13th consecutive win on Monday, aided by Mike Scott's season-high 20 points, two 3-pointers, five rebounds and two steals off the bench.

Scott made 9-of-15 shots in a mere 21 minutes of action, propelling Atlanta to a 93-82 home victory vs. the Pistons. Although his production is too sporadic for use in typical fantasy leagues (this was his third double-digit scoring game in January), Scott has emerged as a reliable rotation player for the red-hot Hawks.
Jan 19 - 6:22 PM

Mike Scott scored six points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 13 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday.

He had a couple chances to shine with the Hawks resting players, but he didn't come through. Scott has a nice ceiling when he does get minutes, but the minutes won't be there while Paul Millsap and Al Horford are healthy.
Jan 17 - 11:07 PM

Mike Scott relieved Paul Millsap early on Wednesday when Millsap ran into foul trouble and hit 5-of-7 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, four rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes.

Scott has show signs of breaking out all season, but as long as Millsap and Al Horford are healthy, it's probably not going to happen. Just keep an eye on him.

Mike Scott (flu-like symptoms) said that he is feeling well enough to play Friday.

All of Scott's numbers are in the single digits, so he can only be viewed as a 3-point specialist in extremely deep leagues. Standard league owners can safely leave him on the wire as long as Al Horford and Paul Millsap are healthy.
Fri, Dec 12, 2014 11:50:00 AM

Mike Scott (flu-like symptoms) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Scott doesn't do enough statistically to be considered an option in standard leagues, leave him on the wire.
