Mike Scott (illness) played just five minutes against the Pistons on Tuesday.
He wasn't on the injury report, but the Hawks may have limited his minutes because he did miss practice on Sunday. Mike Muscala went down with an ankle sprain Tuesday, so Scott could see more minutes vs. the Knicks on Thursday. Regardless, Scott is only on the radar in deeper leagues. Oct 27 - 11:40 PM

Mike Scott (illness) is not on the injury report in advance of Tuesday's game vs. the Pistons.

Barring a late setback, Scott should see decent minutes off the bench behind Paul Millsap. He sat out of Sunday's practice because of the illness, but he should be fine moving forward.

Mike Scott (illness) did not practice on Sunday.

The Hawks open their season against the Pistons on Tuesday, so we will go ahead and consider Scott as questionable for that contest. Mike Muscala could see a few minutes off the bench if Scott is unable to give it a go.
Oct 25 - 1:36 PM

Mike Scott lit up the Heat in 25 minutes on Sunday, scoring 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting with eight boards, three assists and four turnovers.

Scott was active defensively and doesn't appear distracted by his off-court woes, which include pending felony charges for possession of marijuana and MDMA. He potentially faces decades in prison, but until the legal process plays out it looks like he'll continue to fill a bench role for the Hawks. Fantasy owners shouldn't approach him outside of the deepest leagues.
Oct 18 - 9:49 PM

Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer said that Mike Scott has been in the gym every day, and he's working "unbelievably hard" to prepare for the 2015-16 season.

"Mike has been in the gym every day working unbelievably hard," said Budenholzer. "His focus and diligence has been great. He and I have had a lot of good conversations. It’s a legal process, so I can’t comment on any of that, but his mental focus and preparedness for the season is in a really good place." Scott is facing some serious legal charges, but it sounds like he's doing his best to try and stay under the radar and just go to work on the basketball court. As for fantasy hoops, as long as Paul Millsap is healthy, Scott isn't a very appealing option.
Sep 26 - 2:05 PM

Mike Scott posted a video of himself working on his ball-handling skills.

Al Horford recently worked out with Scott and said that he was doing OK, but there haven't been a lot of reports on him since his arrest in July on felony drug charges. Scott could be facing up to 25 years in prison, so we will be following this story very closely.
Sep 18 - 12:57 PM

Al Horford said that he worked out with Mike Scott last week, and that he's doing okay.

"Yeah, we worked out together last week. Mike is doing OK. He's doing good," said Horford responding to a question on how Scott was doing following his arrest in July. "Obviously, tough situation for him, but we're standing behind him." Scott could be looking at a 25-year prison sentence after being arrested on felony drug charges as a passenger in his brother’s car, and this is a story we'll be monitoring very closely.
Aug 20 - 5:31 PM

Mike Scott could face up to 25 years in prison on two felony charges for his arrest last month.

He already admitted the drugs in the car were his. The 10.9 grams of MDMA carries a sentence of up to 15 years and his possession of 35.2 grams of marijuana carry a sentence up to 10 years. Banks County will wait for lab tests on the drugs to be returned before setting a court date, according to Assistant District Attorney Sam Skelton.
Aug 12 - 3:30 PM

Mike Scott admitted all the drugs from his felony possession charge belonged to him.

He was a passenger in his brother's car with 10.9 grams of MDMA and one ounce of Molly. The incident report says his brother was unaware of the drugs in the car. Scott will be facing a suspension and may even be released.
Jul 31 - 7:56 PM

Mike Scott has been bonded out of the Banks County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.

In case you missed it, Scott and his brother were arrested on Thursday on felony drug charges for possession of marijuana and MDMA. "We are aware of the situation involving Mike Scott this morning," Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said on Thursday. "Out of respect for the legal process, we will not have any additional comment at this time." A court date is currently pending, so we will continue to update this story when we know more. To be clear, the NBA or the Hawks could pursue disciplinary action against Scott even before the legal process is concluded.
Jul 31 - 9:58 AM

Mike Scott was arrested on felony drug charges for possession of marijuana and possession of Schedule I drug (MDMA).

Scott was arrested due to having drugs in his possession and was the passenger in a car. Banks County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Carissa McFaddin said, "Deputies located over an ounce of marijuana in the vehicle along with approximately 10.9 grams of MDMA (Molly)." Police pulled over the SUV going 98 MPH.
Jul 30 - 8:27 PM

Mike Scott said that he's 100 percent healthy, and ready to go if his number is called.

Scott has now picked up five consecutive DNP-CD's, but his health doesn't appear to be the culprit for his absence. Head coach Mike Budenholzer said that he doesn't believe DeMarre Carroll's (knee) injury will affect Mike Scott much, because he views Scott as a power forward, so it doesn't sound like his minutes will be trending upward despite the injury to Carroll. Mike Muscala has stepped into an increased role, and it appears his ascension into the rotation is coming at the expense of Scott.
May 21 - 2:36 PM

Mike Scott (bruised back) logged 11 minutes with the second unit on Sunday, scoring five points with one rebound, two steals and two turnovers.

The Hawks swept the Nets in the regular season, 4-0, and they picked up where they left off tonight with a seven-point home victory. Scott's return to action contributed to DNP-CDs for both Mike Muscala and Elton Brand.
Apr 19 - 8:32 PM

Hawks' head coach Mike Budenholzer said that Mike Scott will be available for Game 1 on Sunday.

Scott will provide the Hawks with some solid depth, but with Paul Millsap and Al Horford healthy, he's not a great guy to target in fantasy leagues.
Apr 19 - 3:54 PM

Mike Scott (back) is not on the injury report for Game 1 against the Nets on Sunday.

That means he should be ready to go. Scott suffered his back injury on Monday and missed the finale on Wednesday. He should have minutes in the mid-teens, but that's assuming Paul Millsap's shoulder holds up.
