Date:

An arraignment date for Mike Scott has been set for July 12.

This means that Scott will be formally advised of the charges against him and will be asked to enter a plea. Scott is facing up to 25 years in prison on two felony drug charges after police found 35.2 grams of marijuana and 10.9 grams of MDMA in his vehicle in July of 2015. He could also face some disciplinary action from the league including a one-year suspension. He's owed $3.3 million next season, but his contract isn't guaranteed until July 10.
Jul 1 - 11:42 AM

A notice of accusation has been filed against Mike Scott following his arrest on felony drug charges back in July.

Scott is facing up to 25 years in prison on two felony drug charges after police found 35.2 grams of marijuana and 10.9 grams of MDMA in his vehicle in July. No arraignment date has been established yet and the Hawks will not comment on the situation. Mike's brother Antonn was driving the car and reached speeds of 98 mph before cops finally pulled them over, but Mike took "full responsibility" for the drugs. We'll update this situation once a court date is set.
Jun 3 - 10:12 AM

Mike Scott scored a team-high 17 points in Game 5 on Tuesday, adding five boards, one steal and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

The game was over in a hurry and the Hawks won by 27 points, but Scott shot 7-of-9 from the field tonight and looked great. He did have 14 points in Game 1, but keep in mind that he was held to single-digit points in his previous three outings. He doesn't see enough minutes to be a reliable option in fantasy.
Apr 26 - 11:19 PM

Mike Scott scored 14 points against the Celtics on Saturday with five rebounds and two 3-pointers.

He scored 14 of the 16 bench points and gave the Hawks a nice boost after the Celtics made a really nice run. Scott won't be this good, but he likely will be the first big off the bench going forward -- Mike Muscala came off the bench first with no points in four minutes. DFS owners probably shouldn't chase this one.
Apr 16 - 10:30 PM

Mike Scott (personal) returned from a one-game absence on Saturday vs. the Grizzlies and finished with one point, one board and one assist.

He missed all four of his shots from the field and didn't exactly make a case for more minutes. Scott belongs on the wire in most leagues now that Kris Humphries (five points, six boards) is the first big off the bench.
Mar 12 - 10:02 PM

Mike Scott (personal) will be available to play on Saturday vs. the Grizzlies.

He wasn't with the team on Thursday due to personal reasons, but he should see his normal workload off the bench. The forward is averaging 6.3 points and 2.6 boards this season and is not a fantasy option in most leagues.
Mar 12 - 12:36 PM

Mike Scott (personal) is out for Thursday's game against the Raptors.

Scott did not travel with the team as his wife due to go into labor. He'll likely be back for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, but we should see a bit more of Mike Muscala on Thursday night.
Mar 10 - 12:21 PM

Mike Scott scored 13 points in 25 minutes against the Heat on Friday with six rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers.

This line is misleading because of the Paul Millsap foul trouble. Scott shouldn't benefit much from the Tiago Splitter (hip) injury because the vast majority of his minutes come at power forward.
Feb 20 - 12:33 AM

Mike Scott was one of five Hawks' reserves in double digits on Wednesday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-10 shooting with a season-high nine rebounds, one 3-pointer, one steal and one assist.

He did his damage in 20 minutes as part of a devastating eruption from Atlanta's bench, which combined for 80 points on 32-of-55 shooting (58.2 percent). Mike Muscala added 12 points (4-of-5 FGs, 4-of-7 FTs) with a pair of boards in 20 minutes, but neither guy is worth considering in standard formats.
Feb 3 - 10:20 PM

Mike Scott scored eight points with two rebounds and one 3-pointer on 3-of-11 from the field against the Pacers on Thursday.

He could be looking at bigger minutes with Paul Millsap (ankle) getting hurt tonight. Scott is only worth a look in very deep leagues.
Jan 28 - 10:22 PM

Mike Scott scored 16 points with four rebounds, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers against the Suns on Saturday.

This big game was all about Paul Millsap (personal) not playing tonight. Congrats if you started him in DFS or as a stream play, but Millsap should be back for Monday. Scott can be left on the wire.
Jan 23 - 11:49 PM

Mike Scott scored a season-high 18 points during a 117-98 win over the Knicks on Saturday, adding two rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers.

Tiago Splitter (leg) is likely going to be out, so there should be more minutes headed to Scott. Still, he won't be playing more than minutes in the teens and is only worth a look in very deep leagues.

Head coach Mike Budenholzer implied on Wednesday that with Tiago Splitter healthy, the rotation will include either Mike Scott or Mike Muscala, but not both.

It's been Scott more often that Muscala lately, but neither guy is on the standard league radar while coming off the bench in Atlanta.
Wed, Dec 23, 2015 02:26:00 PM

Mike Scott tied his season high with 15 points in just 17 minutes of action on Sunday, making 6-of-10 shots with three 3-pointers, two rebounds and one assist.

Scott can get hot in a hurry but he's yet to score double-digit points in consecutive games this season, and has a fantasy-irrelevant role off the bench. The other shoe has yet to drop on his pending felony charges, and in the meantime it looks like he'll continue to fill a sporadic niche as a bench option for the eighth-place Hawks.
