Mike Scott ended up with 10 points and five rebounds across 22 minutes off the bench Sunday against the Pacers.
Scott hit 4-of-8 from the field and he added three assists and a steal with just two turnovers while adding a pair of 3-pointers. He was seeing about 10 more minutes of playing time with Kelly Oubre (foot) on the shelf resting his ailing left foot. Scott has some short-term fantasy appeal in deeper leagues, and he might be a decent low-cost punt option in DFS on Tuesday against Miami if KO remains out. Mar 4 - 10:36 PM

Mike Scott scored 14 points with five rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday.

He really stepped up with Ian Mahinmi and Markieff Morris dealing with illnesses. Those two likely won't be out long, so Scott isn't much of a pickup in most leagues.
Feb 10 - 11:16 PM

Mike Scott played 19 minutes and hit 5-of-10 shots for 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and a 3-pointer in Monday's win over the Pacers.

He was iffy with an illness after missing Saturday's game, but was back tonight. He's had some big games this season but is tough to trust, making him nothing more than a deep-league prospect.
Feb 5 - 10:28 PM

Mike Scott (illness) will play on Monday vs. the Pacers.

After sitting out Saturday's game vs. the Magic, Scott was back with the team for their morning shootaround and will be ready for his usual role off the bench tonight. He's strictly a deep-league fantasy asset with 10.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 triples in his last four games.
Feb 5 - 12:39 PM

Mike Scott (illness) will not play on Saturday against the Magic.

The Wizards will be a little thin up front, which means both Markieff Morris and Kelly Oubre should fill minutes. This is also good news for Marcin Gortat because Morris is likely to play almost all PF.
Feb 3 - 5:42 PM

Coach Scott Brooks said that Mike Scott (illness) did not participate in shootaround and will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game vs. Orlando.

Scott is averaging 17.2 minutes per game over the Wizards last 15 contests. If Scott is unable to play Saturday, Markieff Morris, Kelly Oubre and Ian Mahinmi will likely see an uptick in minutes.
Feb 3 - 12:23 PM

Mike Scott scored 14 points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.

We've seen coach Scott Brooks go with a Scott and Markieff Morris frontcourt recently, so maybe he can have some value in deeper leagues. His value will depend on him being a hot shooter, of course.
Feb 1 - 11:24 PM

Mike Scott posted 19 points across 23 minutes in Saturday's 129-104 victory in Atlanta.

Scott was sharp, connecting on 8-of-13 from the field, including 3-of-6 from the perimeter, while chipping in with three assists and a rebound. He saw a little extra playing time with a lopsided score on the board in the second half. He was scoreless in each of his past two games, so don't go rushing out to add him off the waiver wire. He is on there for a reason. He remains useful only in the deepest of fantasy formats at this point.
Jan 27 - 10:37 PM

Mike Scott got hot off the bench Wednesday, making 7-of-10 shots with two 3-pointers to score 18 points in 25 minutes.

Scott added three assists, two rebounds and one steal, and this was a welcome surprise for anyone deploying him in DFS or deep leagues. He hadn't played more than 18 minutes in a game this month, prior to tonight's blowout, and hasn't been worth owning since a torrid stretch in mid-December. Leave him on the wire.
Jan 17 - 9:52 PM

Mike Scott (personal) got hot in 27 minutes off the bench on Sunday, scoring 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting to go with four boards, three 3-pointers, one assist and one block.

Scott's jumper was working for him in this one, as he didn't even miss his first shot until late in the third quarter, and he took advantage of some increased opportunity with Markieff Morris in foul trouble through the first half of action. He's been hit-or-miss lately, being held to single digits in the scoring department in his previous two games, so he's more of a deep league guy at the moment.

Mike Scott (personal) practiced with the team on Saturday.

Scott missed Friday's game to be with his family after his wife gave birth to the couple's second child. He is fully expected to return for Sunday's contest vs. the Bulls. Scott is averaging 13.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 22.1 minutes, while shooting 64.1 percent from the floor over his last 10 games.

Mike Scott (personal) will not play Friday vs. the Rockets.

Scott has been on fire of late, averaging 13.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 22.1 minutes, while shooting 64.1 percent from the floor over the Wizards last 10 games. With Scott sidelined, Markieff Morris, Kelly Oubre and Ian Mahinmi will likely see an uptick in minutes, and Jason Smith could re-enter the rotation.

Mike Scott scored 18 points with four rebounds and one 3-pointer on 7-of-8 from the field against the Magic on Saturday.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a hotter shooter. Over his last 10, Scott averaged 14.9 points, 4.5 boards, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.6 treys on 71.6 percent from the field in just 21.5 minutes. Scott still isn't really worth an add in standard leagues because he kind of has to cool off.
Sat, Dec 23, 2017 10:02:00 PM

Mike Scott dropped a season-high 24 points in 23 minutes on Tuesday, going 11-of-15 from the field with two 3-pointers, four rebounds and one assist.

Scott is having an out-of-body experience on offense over the past eight games, averaging 15.4 points on pristine 73.6% shooting. He's chipping in 1.6 triples, 4.8 boards and 0.8 steals during that stretch, good enough for top-50 value in formats that reward efficiency. We're skeptical he can maintain this pace much longer, but he should be in your lineups while we find out.
Tue, Dec 19, 2017 10:45:00 PM

Mike Scott finished Sunday's game with 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting, three 3-pointers, four rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in 33 minutes.

Scott started the second half for Markieff Morris (neck), but X-rays came back negative and Morris wasn't limited once he returned. Scott should be coming off the bench again on Tuesday, but even so it's impossible to ignore how hot he's been over the past five games -- 16.2 points on 69.4% shooting, 2.0 threes, 5.2 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.4 blocks. He's simply on fire offensively, so keep rolling him out there until he cools off.
