Mike Scott had 23 points and 14 rebounds on 10-of-22 shooting in a start for the Hawks on Wednesday.
The Hawks looked like they were tanking over the final couple games, choosing to play the struggling Pacers instead of dealing with the Nets. Game 1 is Sunday at Indiana, and Scott will likely return to the bench as Josh Smith, Al Horford, Jeff Teague, Devin Harris and Kyle Korver should all be back in action for the playoffs. Scott played very well down the stretch and the Hawks have to be pleased with what they saw. Apr 18 - 12:17 AM

Mike Scott double-doubled in Tuesday's loss to the Raptors with 12 points and 12 boards in 27 minutes.

Al Horford didn't play and Josh Smith suffered a knee injury and did not return. Scott had 17-point and 22-point games earlier this month, so this line wasn't completely unexpected. He's someone that could be worth a start contingent on Horford and Smith being out again.
Apr 16 - 11:14 PM

Rookie Mike Scott played well again on Wednesday, going for 17 points and eight rebounds despite playing just 18 minutes off the bench.

He had 22 points in 36 minutes on Saturday when the Hawks sat most of their starters, but got hot in limited run tonight. Keep an eye on him, but it looks like John Jenkins could be a little safer pickup if you're looking to take a flier on a young guy who will get minutes down the stretch.
Apr 10 - 10:26 PM

Hawks rookie forward Mike Scott blew up for 22 points in 36 minutes vs. the Spurs, hitting 8-of-15 FGs and 6-of-8 FTs, with six boards and two assists.

Josh Smith (knee) and Al Horford (hamstring) were both absent tonight, but they could return to action for Atlanta's next game on Wednesday. If you need another reason to avoid Scott, consider that the last time he scored double-digit points he followed it up with four scoreless games.
Apr 6 - 11:17 PM

Hawks forward Mike Scott, who scored 19 points on Friday, finished Saturday's victory scoreless in 37 seconds of action.

The implications here are self-evident -- Scott can't be trusted as a fantasy option in any format.
Mar 31 - 9:13 AM

Mike Scott scored 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting (7-of-8 FTs) with three rebounds and no other stats in 23 minutes off the bench on Friday.

We haven't blurbed a game-line of Scott's since January 14, so needless to say tonight's performance is a fluke. If he can follow it up, we'll let you know.

Hawks recall F Mike Scott from the D-League.

After three straight games of 20-plus points, he'll be back with the big boys.
Mar 6 - 12:28 PM

Hawks assign F Mike Scott to the D-League.

Scott needs consistent minutes and the D-League is one way to get them.
Mar 1 - 1:28 PM

Rookie Mike Scott will begin to see more minutes at small forward in order to boost his playing time.

"I don't want to throw too much at him too fast," Larry Drew said. "He is still trying to learn the 4 spot." Scott acknowledged the need to work on his defense, but welcomed the challenge and is looking to assert himself as a consistent member of the rotation.
Jan 28 - 12:24 PM

Mike Scott scored a career-high 10 points against the Bulls on Monday to go with three rebounds and one assist in 16 minutes.

This line was all about garbage time in one of the ugliest efforts by a team in recent memory. Even though he was the only player in double digits, Scott can be left on the wire in all leagues.

Hawks recall F Mike Scott from the D-League.

He'll have no impact on your fantasy league.

Mike Scott returned to practice on Wednesday after missing one day with the flu.

While it's nice to see Scott healthy and active, he's a non-factor in fantasy leagues.

Mike Scott (flu) and Johan Petro (back) both missed practice on Tuesday.

Scott is just dealing with the flu and should be fine, while Petro's back has kept him sidelined over the last couple of days. Scott should be fine for the opener, but Petro's status is unclear.

Hawks forward Mike Scott was a perfect 6-of-6 from the field on Saturday, adding 5-of-7 FTs to finish with a team-high 17 points.

Scott added four rebounds, two assists and one block in a scant 21 minutes, taking advantage of the Hawks' decision to rest Al Horford (14 minutes) and Josh Smith (22 minutes). There's no reason to suspect Atlanta's rookie will show up on fantasy radars this season.

Hawks sign F Mike Scott.

Scott will receive a two-year contract with partial guarantees. Gm Danny Ferry said that "Mike will be on the team this year," but we're not expecting him to emerge with consistent fantasy value.
