Mike Scott relieved Paul Millsap early on Wednesday when Millsap ran into foul trouble and hit 5-of-7 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, four rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes.
Scott has show signs of breaking out all season, but as long as Millsap and Al Horford are healthy, it's probably not going to happen. Just keep an eye on him. Dec 17 - 9:53 PM

Mike Scott (flu-like symptoms) said that he is feeling well enough to play Friday.

All of Scott's numbers are in the single digits, so he can only be viewed as a 3-point specialist in extremely deep leagues. Standard league owners can safely leave him on the wire as long as Al Horford and Paul Millsap are healthy.
Dec 12 - 11:50 AM

Mike Scott (flu-like symptoms) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Scott doesn't do enough statistically to be considered an option in standard leagues, leave him on the wire.
Dec 11 - 4:20 PM

Mike Scott (illness) will not play in Wednesday's game vs. the 76ers.

He should be fine with a little rest, so consider him day-to-day for now. Scott doesn't have a large enough role to matter in most leagues, and Elton Brand and Pero Antic will likely see some extra playing time off of the bench Wednesday.
Dec 10 - 1:05 PM

Mike Scott poured in 17 points in 22 minutes on Tuesday, making 5-of-10 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws in a road win vs. the Wizards.

Scott hit two 3-pointers and added seven rebounds, one assist, and even blocked a shot for the first time this season. While this performance will delight owners lucky enough to have started him, his 15-minute role off the bench isn't yielding value outside of 20-team leagues.
Nov 25 - 9:45 PM

Mike Scott played 17 minutes in his return to the lineup on Friday with 11 points, two rebounds and one assist.

He usually just backs up Paul Millsap, but Scott does get some run next to him on occasion. His back injury might pop up on him again and he's only worth a look in deep leagues.
Nov 14 - 11:49 PM

Mike Scott (back) should be available to play in Friday's game vs. the Heat.

Scott can be viewed as a 3-point specialist for owners in deeper leagues, but as long as Al Horford and Paul Millsap are healthy, Scott isn't worth owning in standard leagues.
Nov 14 - 12:43 PM

Mike Scott (back) is being listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Heat.

Scott is currently averaging 9.7 points and 2.0 three-pointers on the season, so he's more of a 3-point specialist at best for owners in deeper leagues. Stay tuned for an official update on Scott's status as we draw closer to Friday's tip.
Nov 13 - 2:56 PM

Mike Scott (back) will not play in Wednesday's game vs. the Jazz.

He took a hard fall in Monday's game after he was fouled hard by Amare Stoudemire, and won't recover in time for Wednesday's game. However, Scott doesn't have a large enough role to warrant your attention in standard leagues and can be safely ignored on the waiver wire. Consider Scott day-to-day for now and we could get our first look at rookie Adreian Payne (foot), who is questionable for Wednesday's game.
Nov 12 - 12:20 PM

Mike Scott (lower back contusion) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Jazz.

Scott was hurt when he fell hard after being fouled by Amare Stoudemire Monday, but with averages of just 9.7 points and 2.0 three-pointers per game, he shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a 3-point specialist. Owners in standard leagues can feel free to leave him on the wire.
Nov 11 - 5:16 PM

Mike Scott came off the bench and played just 21 minutes, but hit 8-of-11 shots and four 3-pointers for 20 point, four rebounds and an assist in Wednesday's loss.

The low minutes combined with the lights-out shooting should mean he comes back to earth in his next game. He's playing behind Paul Millsap, who struggled a bit tonight, and should probably remain on waivers in most leagues until we see him do this a couple more times.
Oct 29 - 11:58 PM

Mike Scott hit 8-of-8 shots and 2-of-2 3-pointers for 19 points and four rebounds in 21 minutes on Wednesday.

Scott will have some nice games, but as long as Al Horford and Paul Millsap are healthy, he's not going to get enough minutes to help out the average fantasy team.
Oct 22 - 11:43 PM

Mike Scott had 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and a 3-pointer on 4-of-11 shooting Saturday.

He played 23 minutes off the bench and will get some nice run for as long as Al Horford is out while recovering from last season's shoulder surgery. Scott might be worth owning early in the season, but as long as guys like Horford, Paul Millsap and DeMarre Carroll are healthy, Scott will struggle to make a fantasy impact.
Oct 11 - 10:57 PM

The Atlanta Hawks have officially announced the re-signing of Mike Scott.

Scott's deal will be for $10 million over three years as the 26-year-old re-joins the Hawks as a bench option behind Paul Millsap and Al Horford. Scott showed potential in averaging 9.6 points, 3.6 boards, and 0.8 treys in 2013-14, but he won't hold much fantasy value unless Millsap or Horford go down with an injury.
Aug 26 - 12:53 PM

Hawks sign forward Mike Scott to a three-year, $10 million deal on Friday.

The third year is a team option and this solidifies the bench behind Paul Millsap and Al Horford. Barring an injury in front of him, Scott isn't going to have much fantasy value.
