Mike Scott (knee) played 12 minutes on Friday vs. the Pistons, scoring two points with three rebounds and three assists.
The Hawks are easing him back into action and the Hawks may rest him on Saturday vs. the Raptors, but we'll take him off the injury report for now. He's not a fantasy pickup with Mike Muscala having a career year. Dec 3 - 1:18 AM

Mike Scott (knee) is probable for Friday's game vs. the Pistons.

This may be the last update we get on Scott before tip-off, so we can only assume that he's available to play. He only played four minutes in his debut and may be limited again even with Paul Millsap (hip) out. Also, the Hawks are starting small with Thabo Sefolosha at the four.
Dec 2 - 7:19 PM

Mike Scott (sore left knee) is questionable to play against the Pistons on Friday.

He only played four minutes in his season debut on Wednesday. The Hawks may opt to sit Scott in one of the two back-to-back games, which is something coach Mike Budenholzer has done more than most coaches. Scott is not worth owning in standard leagues.
Dec 1 - 5:05 PM

Mike Scott (left knee) made his season debut on Wednesday, coming off the bench for one rebound and one turnover in four minutes.

Scott has serious legal problems looming over him, stemming from a 2015 arrest in which he was charged with felony possession of marijuana and MDMA, and he's too risky to recommend in almost any format. He might not have even taken the court tonight if Paul Millsap (hip) were available to play.
Dec 1 - 1:45 AM

Mike Scott (left knee) will be activated for Wednesday's game against the Suns.

He still might not play, and even if he does, he'll only see limited minutes off the bench. Leave him on the wire.
Nov 30 - 1:27 PM

Mike Scott (left knee) is getting closer to a return and has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Phoenix.

Scott underwent non-surgical procedures in late October to address soreness in his left knee. He was projected to miss at least four weeks and was targeting a return date in early December. So this latest updates suggests he has not encountered any setbacks in his rehab. Scott averaged 6.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 15.3 minutes per game last season. He can be left on waivers in standard leagues, as he has limited fantasy value. However, Scott may eat into Thabo Sefolosha and Mike Muscala's minutes once he is finally healthy.
Nov 29 - 7:05 PM

Mike Scott will miss at least four weeks as he undergoes non-surgical procedures on his sore left knee.

With Tiago Splitter (hamstring) also out, this explains why the Hawks waived Walter Tavares and signed Ryan Kelly on Monday. Scott can be dropped in all leagues, while Mike Muscala is starting to look like a nice pickup for owners in need of a big.
Oct 31 - 1:14 PM

Mike Scott (knee) will not play against the 76ers on Saturday.

Scott did travel with the team for the game. He did not play in the opener, which is due to a nagging injury to his left knee. Scott would be in the rotation, but the Hawks didn't really need him with Mike Muscala behind Paul Millsap.
Oct 28 - 4:04 PM

Mike Scott (left knee) will miss Thursday's game against the Wizards.

We'll consider Scott as day-to-day as he was unable to practice on Wednesday, but he shouldn't be owned in any fantasy leagues.
Oct 27 - 11:50 AM

Mike Scott (left knee) did not participate during Wednesday's practice.

With the Hawks at full strength, Scott's playing status is largely irrelevant in fantasy hoops.
Oct 26 - 1:52 PM

Mike Scott (left knee, rest) is probable for Sunday.

Scott had been rested on Thursday, but he'll be back out there for this one.
Oct 15 - 6:54 PM

Mike Scott (rest) will not suit up for Thursday's exhibition game against the Pistons.

He's healthy, but the Hawks currently have too many guys on the roster to have everyone available. Scott will have very little fantasy value this year operating as Paul Millsap's backup.
Oct 13 - 5:54 PM

Mike Scott (left knee soreness) will play on Monday vs. the Cavaliers.

This confirms that his knee issue was relatively minor. Scott will back up Mike Muscala tonight, but he is the favorite to open the season as the second PF on the depth chart behind Paul Millsap.
Oct 10 - 12:13 PM

Mike Scott (left knee soreness) is not expected to play on Saturday vs. San Antonio.

Scott also missed Thursday's preseason game vs. Memphis, and it's currently unclear when he might get back onto the court.
Oct 8 - 4:09 PM

Mike Scott (knee soreness), Paul Millsap (knee rehab), Jarrett Jack (knee rehab) and Tiago Splitter (hamstring) will all be unavailable for Thursday's preseason game against the Grizzlies.

Scott sat out Wednesday's practice with a sore knee, but this isn't expected to be something that lingers into the regular-season. Millsap is recovering from an offseason knee procedure, but he too is expected to be 100 percent by the time the regular season tips. Jack and Splitter are at risk of not being ready for opening night, but they're both largely irrelevant in fantasy hoops. Mike Muscala should see some quality minutes tonight with Splitter, Scott and Millsap on the sidelines.
