Henry Sims will start against the Grizzlies on Saturday.
He and Nerlens Noel are flip-flopping right now. Sims has been fairly quiet on the stat sheet and is not a great standard league option no matter where he's getting his minutes. Dec 13 - 7:01 PM

Date:

Henry Sims will come off the bench on Friday against the Nets.

This move will likely stick with the way Sims has looked in the starting lineup. His rebound rate is down and he's been very late on defensive rotations. He's not worth owning is most leagues.
Dec 12 - 6:17 PM

Henry Sims started at center again and had 10 points and six rebounds in the Sixers first win of the season on Wednesday.

He's quietly playing well and is averaging 13.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0 blocks over his last five games. If you need a big man and can live without swats, Sims is worth a look.
Dec 4 - 1:03 AM

Henry Sims scored a season-high 22 points against the Blazers on Monday with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and three turnovers in 34 minutes.

It would appear Nerlens Noel is going to get most of his minutes at power forward, so Sims should be safe for minutes in the mid-20s or so. Although, he was brutal to watch on defense, which has been the case all year. Sims struggled in his previous 10 games with averages of 8.5 points, 6.1 boards and 0.4 blocks, so we will have to see it again.
Nov 25 - 12:32 AM

Henry Sims hit 6-of-12 shots for 14 points and seven rebounds in Wednesday's loss.

Sims is still as inconsistent as they come, but has been playing better, averaging 10.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks over his last five games, despite not blocking one tonight.
Nov 19 - 11:48 PM

Henry Sims scored 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with three rebounds and three blocks over 30 minutes in Friday's loss to the Rockets.

Sims is going to post a solid line here and there but his inconsistency makes him a Plan B or C for owners in standard leagues.
Nov 15 - 1:03 AM

Henry Sims played 16 minutes against the Cavs on Thursday with four points, five rebounds, one steal and one block.

There is a reason why the Cavs didn't want him on their team last season. Sims will see his fantasy value head south for the winter while Nerlens Noel is active.
Nov 14 - 12:34 AM

Henry Sims was solid in another fill-in start for Nerlens Noel (ankle), finishing Sunday's lopsided loss with 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 29 minutes.

He only turned the ball over once and his line looks even better when contrasted with Brandon Davies, who came off the bench for just three points, seven rebounds and five turnovers in 27 minutes. The Sixers don't play again until Thursday, at which point Noel may be ready to return, so this game shouldn't inspire owners to pluck Sims off the waiver wire.
Nov 9 - 9:30 PM

Henry Sims will likely draw another start Sunday with the news that Nerlens Noel (ankle) won't play.

He had a surprisingly good game on Friday with 16 points, eight boards, five assists, and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes but he hasn't been consistent all season. Sims may make for a decent plug-and-play but owners in standard leagues can probably do better. Brandon Davies should also see an uptick in minutes.
Nov 9 - 11:17 AM

Henry Sims came out of nowhere against the Bulls on Friday with 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes.

It was his first 3-pointer of his career and he was very good on defense, as well. Sims is likely headed back to the bench once Nerlens Noel (ankle) is back on the floor, so he can be left on the wire in most leagues.
Nov 7 - 10:57 PM

Henry Sims will start at center on Friday against the Bulls.

While Davies has outplayed Sims by a mile, the team just needs help in the second unit right now. Tony Wroten is capable of taking on most of the shots with the first string guys, so fantasy owners shouldn't put too much stock into Sims starting. Still, he's an option as a plug-and-play guy.
Nov 7 - 5:25 PM

Henry Sims is likely going to start against the Bulls on Friday.

Nerlens Noel (ankle) won't play, so Sims will likely be next to Brandon Davies. Sims ran with the first team in practice on Thursday and will get a chance to redeem himself. If you're looking to capitalize on Noel missing time, Davies is the preferred option.
Nov 7 - 4:32 PM

Henry Sims has lost his job and came off the bench to hit 1-of-4 shots for three points, eight rebounds, two steals and three blocks on Wednesday.

Nerlens Noel went down with an ankle injury tonight, so Sims could find himself getting solid minutes on Friday. But he had a bad preseason and has struggled thus far, which is why he lost his job. As of now, we'd rather own Brandon Davies, who is starting and had 20 points tonight.
Nov 5 - 10:03 PM

Henry Sims is not in the starting lineup against the Magic on Wednesday.

He's been struggling for about 1.5 months and he may have lost his job for good. Sims was a revelation down the stretch last season, but the book might just be out on him now. He can be cut in just about all leagues.
Nov 5 - 5:31 PM

Henry Sims practiced with the second unit again on Tuesday, and it looks like his starting spot is in serious trouble.

He initially lost his starting spot due to an illness, but Nerlens Noel looked comfortable at center in a loss to Houston so the lineup switch looks permanent for now. Brandon Davies will likely slide into the starting power forward spot and is worth a look in almost all leagues, while Henry Sims can safely be cut in standard leagues.
