Sims was in Utah on a camp deal, but won't survive final roster cuts. He'll likely now head to the D-League and won't have any fantasy value this season. Oct 20 - 1:18 PM

The Utah Jazz have officially signed Henry Sims.

It's just a training camp deal for Sims, but it's worth noting that the Jazz already have two capable centers in Rudy Gobert and Jeff Withey, while Boris Diaw and Derrick Favors will likely spend time at the five as well. Sims likely won't make the final roster.

Sep 22 - 10:59 AM

Henry Sims worked out for the Jazz on Friday.

The free agent center made 14 appearances for the Nets last season, averaging 6.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks on 42.9 percent shooting. The 26-year-old will likely just be looking for a camp invite, but the Jazz already have plenty of frontcourt depth. We'll let you know if anything materializes.
Sep 10 - 9:26 AM

Free agent center Henry Sims will play for the Nets' Summer League team.

Sims earned a few 10-day deals with the Nets last season, but averaged just 6.5 points on 42.9 percent shooting in 18.8 minutes per game. His career averages are unimpressive and Sims won't be a standard-league asset no matter where he's playing next season.
Jun 26 - 8:49 PM

Henry Sims scored eight points with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 30 minutes during his start against the Wizards on Monday.

He'll likely get the start on Wednesday night with Thomas Robinson (knee) not healthy right now. With 14 games on the slate and a number of players resting, Sims probably isn't best value.
Apr 11 - 10:55 PM

Henry Sims will start against the Wizards on Monday.

He should get some big minutes against Marcin Gortat. Sims is worth a look, but he doesn't have a big upside. Chris McCullough is probably the better option for his ability to fill the stat sheet.
Apr 11 - 5:55 PM

Henry Sims started the second half of Sunday's game vs. the Pacers in place of Thomas Robinson (knee).

Robinson won't return and is dealing with a sore knee, and Sims could be looking at a lot of minutes on Monday vs. the Wizards if T-Rob can't play. Donald Sloan also started the second half in place of Shane Larkin, but it's because the Nets are getting blown out.
Apr 10 - 7:23 PM

Henry Sims moved to the bench against the Wizards on Wednesday with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 20 minutes.

He's lost some momentum with Chris McCullough having a nice little run off the bench. Sims is more of a deep-league stream with McCullough and Thomas Robinson having more value. His role around 20 minutes does seem solid, though.
Apr 6 - 9:26 PM

Henry Sims will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

The Nets will go with a starting frontcourt of Bojan Bogdanovic and Thomas Robinson, although Sims should still be able to see quality minutes off the bench with Willie Reed (personal), Brook Lopez (shutdown) and Thaddeus Young (shutdown) all unavailable. Of the Brooklyn bigs, Robinson makes for the most attractive streamer/DFS option.
Apr 6 - 5:47 PM

The Nets have signed Henry Sims to a contract that will keep him with the team for the remainder of the 2015-16 season.

Brook Lopez has been shutdown by the Nets, so Sims looks to be the starting center the rest of the way. However, with averages of just 8.0 points, 6.0 boards and 1.5 steals on 35.7 percent shooting in his previous two starts, there's little incentive to go out and grab him in most leagues.
Apr 6 - 9:16 AM

Henry Sims will start on Sunday vs. the Pelicans.

Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young will not play again this season, so Sims could be the starting center the rest of the way next to Thomas Robinson in the frontcourt. Sims doesn't have much upside and is averaging 5.3 points, 4.1 boards and 0.9 blocks this season in 15.5 minutes per game, so Robinson is the better add.
Apr 3 - 11:34 AM

Henry Sims will enter the starting five for Thursday's game against the Cavs, with Brook Lopez (rest) unavailable.

Sims will earn his first start in a Brooklyn uniform tonight, but with a tough matchup against Cleveland, he's a risky guy to deploy in most settings. Thomas Robinson should play more tonight sans Lopez, and he makes for the more attractive DFS target.
Mar 31 - 5:52 PM

Henry Sims started the second half of Tuesday's game for Brook Lopez (rest) and had eight points, four rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes.

Lopez is on shutdown watch and Sims was decent tonight, but not good enough to be picked up just yet. But if Lopez is shut down, Sims will be a possible add, assuming he keeps getting minutes going forward.
Mar 29 - 10:48 PM

The Nets have signed Henry Sims to a second 10-day contract.

He's averaging 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game through four appearances, so he has very little fantasy value. Leave Sims on the wire.

Nets sign C Henry Sims.

Sims will join the Nets on a 10-day contract and while he'll see some run with the Nets, it's unlikely that he'll have fantasy value in standard leagues playing behind Brook Lopez.
