Henry Sims will start on Monday night against the Pelicans.
Sims is starting instead of K.J. McDaniels because New Orleans has a big frontline. When starting at center this season, Sims is averaging 10.3 points and 5.8 rebounds on 48.1 percent shooting. Jan 26 - 12:31 PM

Date:

Henry SIms (ankle) will play against the Raptors on Friday.

He had a double-double on Wednesday, but that was due to the 76ers missing Nerlens Noel and Luc Mbah a Moute -- both are back tonight. Sims is only a low-upside play in very deep leagues.
Jan 23 - 5:27 PM

Henry Sims (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Raptors.

This is the first we've heard of an ankle injury for Sims, who may have tweaked it during Thursday's practice. If he can't suit up, more minutes will be available for Nerlens Noel (illness), Furkan Aldemir and Malcolm Thomas.
Jan 23 - 10:10 AM

Henry Sims double-doubled against the Knicks on Wednesday with 11 points, 12 rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.

He picked up some extra playing time with Nerlens Noel (illness) out of the lineup. Sims doesn't really do much on defense and isn't a very effective scorer, so fantasy owners don't need to be too aggressive in grabbing him.
Jan 21 - 10:55 PM

Henry Sims will start in place of Luc Mbah a Moute (knee) on Monday against the Wizards.

This is the second time in the past week Sims has been sprung into action as the starter. He has low usage and doesn't block shots, so there's little reason to be excited about him tonight.
Jan 19 - 2:13 PM

Robert Covington will replace Henry Sims in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pelicans.

Sims' limited value will take a bit of a hit with the move to the bench, and on such a busy Friday night, there should be better options out there in most leagues.
Jan 16 - 6:22 PM

Henry Sims will start in place of Robert Covington (shoulder) on Wednesday.

He always seems to find a way to start with the 76ers at less than 100 percent. Sims is usually very quiet on the stat sheet, so don't run to the wire to grab him or anything.
Jan 14 - 7:29 PM

Henry Sims will come off the bench against the Pacers on Saturday.

Apparently coach Brett Brown wants to put Nerlens Noel on Roy Hibbert, which should be interesting. Sims doesn't do much anyway with little defensive stats, so he can remain on the wire unless then Sixers get hit with a ton of injuries.
Jan 10 - 6:02 PM

Henry Sims hit 1-of-8 shots for three points and five rebounds in 18 minutes on Wednesday.

He's starting at center and had 12 points and seven rebounds in his previous outing, but was awful in the game before that. He's been wildly inconsistent this season, making it nearly impossible to start him in weekly leagues.
Jan 7 - 11:47 PM

Henry Sims played 24 minutes in a start against the Cavs on Monday with 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and four turnovers.

It's a fairly boring line with no defense and that's been Sims' calling card all season. Unless he's logging 35 minutes or so on a consistent basis, he's not going to be worth owning in most leagues.
Jan 5 - 10:07 PM

Henry Sims will start at center against the Cavs on Monday.

It could be a matchup play against Kevin Love to put Nerlens Noel on him. Sims will mostly just be asked to box out Tristan Thompson and keep him off the boards. He's not a great fantasy option tonight.
Jan 5 - 5:20 PM

Henry Sims scored 16 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 6-of-7 shots (4-of-4 FTs) with five rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 18 minutes.

Sims is in the midst of a nice six-game surge, averaging 12.2 points with 7.8 boards, 1.1 combined steals and blocks, and marks of 59.6 percent shooting from the field and 91.7 percent from the line. It's good for mid-round value and owners don't need to look hard to see his struggles from earlier in the year, but Nerlens Noels (four points, six boards, 22 minutes) doesn't look quite right and somebody has to get stats down low.
Jan 3 - 2:28 AM

Sixers center Henry Sims approached his season-high with 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting vs. the Warriors on Tuesday, adding seven rebounds in only 23 minutes during a blowout loss.

He turned the ball over three times and didn't have any assists, steals or blocks, and his fantasy appeal remains limited to low-end rebounding (5.7 per game) with low-volume, high-percentage scoring.

Henry Sims entered the starting lineup on Saturday in place of Luc Mbah a Moute (calf), and responded with 10 points, eight boards, one steal and two blocks in 32 minutes.

He will never blow you away, but Sims will have decent value in deeper leagues if he continues to see more than 30 minutes. Mbah a Moute may miss some more action, and Nerlens Noel is having his ankle X-rayed, so Sims could be in line for more minutes. Owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach here.
Sun, Dec 28, 2014 12:23:00 AM

Henry Sims will draw the start on Saturday against the Jazz in place of Luc Mbah a Moute (calf).

While Sims will draw the start, the 76ers will likely use a committee-approach to soak up the minutes at power forward, so we don't recommend adding Sims outside of really deep leagues given how ineffective he has been so far this season.
