Quincy Acy will reportedly opt out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
Acy will have no trouble finding his next NBA contract, but regardless of his next destination, Acy is not going to be a fantasy factor in most leagues. Apr 20 - 11:19 AM

Quincy Acy scored 17 points with six rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Wolves on Thursday.

He picked up some frontcourt slack with the Kosta Koufos having a terrible time against the Wolves. Acy should be a factor in road games, depending how hard the Kings tank. It'll be the last game at Sleep Train Arena on Saturday, so the Kings might try to win that one.
Apr 8 - 12:25 AM

Quincy Acy will start Wednesday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

DeMarcus Cousins (knee) is out and Willie Cauley-Stein (illness) is playing at less than 100 percent, so it's all hands on deck for the Kings' frontcourt. Acy remains a dubious fantasy option despite the increased role.
Mar 23 - 8:03 PM

Quincy Acy made a start for Willie Cauley-Stein (illness) on Friday with six points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes.

He came off the bench in the second half for Caron Butler. Acy has very little value unless DeMarcus Cousins is out.
Mar 18 - 11:04 PM

Quincy Acy will start at PF on Friday with Willie Cauley-Stein (illness) out of commission.

Acy gives the Kings a tough rebounder and not much else, rendering him useless in the vast majority of fantasy leagues. Even his rebounding has tailed off this season, as his 11.9 percent rebound rate is easily the lowest in his four-year career.
Mar 18 - 6:46 PM

Quincy Acy returned to a bench role on Tuesday vs. the Lakers and played five minutes, scoring one point with one rebound.

The Quincy Acy experiment is over. Willie Cauley-Stein logged 32 minutes in the starting lineup tonight and the Kings snapped a five-game losing streak, so Acy is safe to drop in all leagues.
Mar 16 - 1:48 AM

Quincy Acy finished Sunday's home loss with two points and one rebound in 11 minutes.

Acy started the game but shifted to a reserve role after halftime, with Willie Cauley-Stein taking his spot at power forward. The rugged veteran is a nice source of FG percentage, with low turnovers and a fistful of rebounds, but there's no reason to touch him in standard leagues.
Mar 13 - 9:51 PM

Quincy Acy played well vs. the Spurs on Saturday, scoring 16 points with seven boards, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Kosta Koufos was out with an illness, so Acy was able to log big minutes in the loss. He still has very little upside and was averaging 5.3 points and 2.4 boards in his previous 10 games, so we would like to see him do it again before we can get behind an add in deeper formats.
Mar 5 - 11:47 PM

Quincy Acy made 6-of-9 shots to finish Wednesday's game with 15 points, two rebounds and two steals in 23 minutes.

Acy again started at PF but this is an aberration -- he was scoreless in his previous two games and has cracked double-digits three times all season. Leave him untouched.
Feb 25 - 1:14 AM

Quincy Acy did not score in a start against the Nuggets on Friday with three rebounds and one turnover.

If not for the turnover, he would've had a 0.0 usage rate in 15 minutes. The Kings not having Omri Casspi (mouth) explains this move in the starting lineup. Casspi should be back for the next one, so leave Acy on the wire.
Feb 20 - 3:04 AM

Quincy Acy will replace Willie Cauley-Stein in the starting lineup for Friday's game vs. the Nuggets.

Acy's game doesn't translate very well to fantasy hoops, and his inclusion in the starting five will likely be short-lived. He belongs on the waiver wire in most settings.
Feb 19 - 10:07 PM

Quincy Acy started the second half of Wednesday's game in place of Willie Cauley-Stein (shoulder), finishing with six points, four boards and a pair of blocks in 15 minutes.

The bruising veteran gave the Kings a nice lift to start the half, and he finished with a +/- rating of +13 in a game the Kings won by just four points. Even if he did unexpectedly ascend to the starting lineup, Acy's style of play doesn't translate to fantasy leagues.
Feb 10 - 11:48 PM

Quincy Acy and James Anderson started the second half for Marco Belinelli and Willie Cauley-Stein.

They allowed 63 points in the first half to the league's worst offense, so there you go. There are no fantasy moves to make here.
Feb 10 - 8:28 PM

Quincy Acy was a DNP-CD on Thursday.

He started on Wednesday and that'll be that for now. Acy can be dropped in almost all leagues now that Willie Cauley-Stein is healthy.
Jan 15 - 1:19 AM

Quincy Acy started again on Wednesday but failed to score in nine minutes of action, and he was benched to begin the second half.

George Karl reportedly likes Acy's pick-and-roll defense in the starting lineup, but it was inevitable that he'd cede the job -- tonight it was Kosta Koufos taking his spot after halftime. Omri Casspi and Willie Cauley-Stein are also threats to Acy's role, and he belongs on the waiver wire in all formats.
