Tyshawn Taylor scored a career-high 12 points to go with two rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes against the Pacers on Monday.

His 34 minutes were also a career high and it was just the second time he played double-digit minutes all year. Taylor doesn't shoot the 3, so his upside won't really be there as a handcuff for Deron Williams. Plus, C.J. Watson (one point on 0-of-7 shooting) shouldn't be this terrible again. Taylor only has spot-start appeal in very deep leagues on Wednesday against the Nuggets.

Nets recall G Tyshawn Taylor and F Tornike Shengelia from the D-League.

Both players were just assigned to the D-League less than a week ago.
Jan 28 - 9:31 AM

Nets assigned PG Tyshawn Taylor and F Tornike Shengelia to the Springfield Armor of the D-League.

Taylor continues to play behind C.J. Watson in with the Nets, so he's headed down to the minors. Shengelia, a second-round rookie out of Georgia (the country, not the state), has appeared in garbage time of just 13 times all year.

Tyshawn Taylor went scoreless in nine minutes on Wednesday.

Taylor picked up a few minutes with C.J. Watson nursing a sore knee, but the rookie is irrelevant to fantasy owners.

Taylor will get some burn down in the D-League and will likely return before too much time elapses.

Tyshawn Taylor and Tornike Shengelia will likely be sent to the D-League after the Nets return from their three-game road trip.

Both rookies need consistent playing time to develop, so a trip to the D-League should do good things for both players.

Tyshawn Taylor returned from a quad injury with six points, five assists and a steal in 17 minutes.

He's the third-string point guard behind Deron Williams and C.J. Watson. Fantasy owners can ignore him in all leagues.

Rookie Tyshawn Taylor (quad) is expected to return for Tuesday's exhibition game.

Taylor is not a fantasy option buried on the depth chart, and is losing valuable time to make some progress with his new team.

Tyshawn Taylor (quad) will not play in Monday's preseason game.

Taylor will be evaluated after the game, and it sounds like he's inching closer to a return. The rookie is not on the fantasy radar as he's behind both Deron Williams and C.J. Watson on the depth chart.

Tyshawn Taylor (quad) returned to action on Thursday.

Taylor missed nine days with a strained quad, but the rookie avoided a serious injury and is ready to get back into the mix. Currently third on the depth chart, he's not expected to play too much this season. Avery Johnson added that Taylor won't play in a preseason game until at least next week.

Tyshawn Taylor (quad) was again limited in practice on Wednesday.

The team is just taking precaution with the rookie and there is no need to overwork him at this juncture in training camp. The fact that he's practicing at all means that the injury shouldn't be considered serious.

Tyshawn Taylor is dealing with a strained right quad.

Taylor is able to practice on a "limited" basis, and it sounds as if the Nets are just being extra cautious with training camp just getting underway. He's currently penciled in as the third-string PG and should learn plenty in his rookie season behind Deron Williams.
