76ers signed Darius Johnson-Odom to a 10-day contract.
The 6'2" shooting guard has been averaging 22.0 points, 1.6 threes, 4.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.4 steals in the D-League. It's unclear how many minutes he might get while Michael Carter-Williams, James Anderson and Tony Wroten are healthy, but anything is possible in the Sixers' current lineup and fantasy owners should at least keep Johnson-Odom on their radar. The Nets are planning to sign Darius Johnson-Odom or Jorge Gutierrez after working them out this week.

The Nets seem like they're in the market for a guard and have the room to sign one more player. Johnson-Odom was waived by the Lakers back in the preseason and he's been solid in the D-League with averages of 22.6 points and 6.0 dimes in 25 outings.

Lakers waive G Darius Johnson-Odom.

That takes their roster down to 16 players, meaning there's at least one more cut coming before the start of the season.

The Lakers have invited G Darius Johnson-Odom and C Eric Boateng to training camp.

This news comes on the heels of the news that Dan Gadzuric will also be in camp. The big men are there to help fill in for injured rookie Ryan Kelly, while Boateng looks like a warm body to help battle with the other guards in camp. Don't look for any of these guys to be on the opening-night roster.

The Italian team Montepaschi Siena may have interest in signing free agent G Darius Johnson-Odom.

He played for the Celtics' Summer League team but may not earn a guaranteed deal in the NBA, so it makes sense that he'd entertain offers overseas.

Free agent Darius Johnson-Odom, playing for Boston's Summer League team, scored a game-high 22 points on Monday.

He knocked down 8-of-14 shots off the bench, with two 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists and four turnovers. If you blinked you missed his contributions with the Lakers last season, and he won't be a fantasy consideration even if he does make an NBA roster.

Lakers waive G Darius Johnson-Odom on Monday.

His contract would have become guaranteed on Jan. 10th and the Lakers have a pressing need for big men now that Dwight, Pau and Jordan Hill are all banged up, so this was an easy decision.

The Lakers assigned Darius Johnson-Odom to the D-League on Sunday.

He'll join the L.A. D-Fenders for now and the Lakers might be calling him back up to warm their bench in the future. He has no fantasy value.

Darius Johnson-Odom was signed by LAK on Monday November 12.

The Lakers have assigned rookie Darius Johnson-Odom to the NBA Development League.

He'll head to the Los Angeles D-Fenders in time for team's training camp. He has played just one minute with the Lakers this season and the rookie is a long way from being on the fantasy radar.

The Lakers have "unofficially" decided to begin the season with 15 players, meaning Darius Johnson-Odom and Robert Sacre have made the team.

Both 2012 second-round picks have non-guaranteed contracts, and the Lakers could waive either or both at any point before the deals become guaranteed in January. Sacre is the better bet to see the floor between the two, but neither is going to be a part of the rotation.

Darius Johnson-Odom could soon be waived by the Lakers.

The second-round pick is highly athletic, but the Lakers are highly unlikely to keep him around given the current construction of the roster.

Darius Johnson-Odom has impressed coaches with his athleticism.

Unfortunately for DJO, he'll need to show more than athleticism to have a legitimate shot of making the final roster. He's an energy guy, and that will help his case to stick around, but he sorely needs to improve his raw offensive game.

Lakers sign second-round pick G Darius Johnson-Odom.

Johnson-Odom has no fantasy value right now, in Dynasty leagues or otherwise, and is simply trying to make the squad.
Fri, Sep 14, 2012 09:09:00 PM

GM Mitch Kupchak is reportedly "noncommittal" on keeping second-round pick Darius Johnson-Odom.

The Lakers currently have 12 players under contract not including Devin Ebanks, who is expected to re-sign with the team. As a result, Johnson-Odom will have to play very well in training camp to make the Lakers' final roster, but even if he does, it's highly unlikely he'll have a regular role in the rotation at any point during the season.
