Mirza Teletovic said the Bucks need his shooting.
He's right. Even with Khris Middleton, the Bucks were dead last in the NBA for 3-pointers last season. Teletovic has played for coach Jason Kidd before, so he should have a smooth transition on his new team. The Bucks are going to have some wild lineup combos this year, so there should be a role for Mirza in the mid 20s for minutes. He's a sneaky late-round pick. Aug 31 - 3:46 PM

Jason Kidd said that Mirza Teletovic is much more than just a 3-point shooter.

"He can shoot the three, we all know that," Kidd said. "But he can put the ball on the floor and get to the basket. He's a team guy. He's a little more athletic than you think, and we need that toughness. He's not afraid." Milwaukee attempted just 15.6 treys per game last season which was the lowest amount in the NBA, so Teletovic should have a nice role off the bench after averaging 12.2 points, 3.8 boards, 1.1 assists and 2.2 3-pointers with the Suns last season. If you need 3-pointers towards the end of your draft, Teletovic could be worth a look.
Jul 10 - 11:12 AM

Mirza Teletovic has agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal with the Bucks.

Teletovic played well for the Suns last season, averaging 12.2 points, 3.8 boards, 1.1 assists and 2.2 3-pointers on 42.7 percent shooting from the field. The stretch four could see around 20 minutes per game off the bench in Milwaukee, and he will continue to be a 3-point specialist in fantasy leagues.
Jul 1 - 3:02 PM

Mirza Teletovic, who will be an unrestricted free agent, is open to returning to the Suns.

"I love the people in Phoenix, the organization and the people around the Suns," Teletovic said. "Everybody wants the team to be better and I think I can help the team be where they want to get." Teletovic added that Earl Watson's hire was an important factor, but it will take a raise from this season's $5.5 million salary in order to retain him.
Apr 25 - 1:57 PM

Mirza Teletovic came off the bench for 22 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers on Wednesday, making 8-of-19 FGs and 4-of-4 FTs in 28 minutes.

Teletovic is thriving in an expanded role under coach Earl Watson. He finished the season with 20+ points in four straight games and he scored 10+ in a dozen straight, with both streaks setting new career highs. As an unrestricted free agent his fantasy appeal hinges largely on his whereabouts next season, but at the very least he's on the radar as a 3-point specialist.
Apr 14 - 1:34 AM

Mirza Teletovic scored 26 points on 10-of-20 shooting on Monday vs. the Kings, adding three boards, one assist, two steals and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

He's making a serious push for the Sixth Man of the Year Award, but the Suns have probably lost too many games. Teletovic has been on fire with averages of 22.0 points, 5.2 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.6 3-pointers over his last five games, and he should be locked into all lineups.
Apr 12 - 12:54 AM

Suns GM Ryan McDonough said that he would like to keep Mirza Teletovic for next season.

"Despite our team's record, I think he's obviously played well and he's had a good experience in Phoenix," McDonough said. "I think setting the record is a great thing for him and our franchise. I think if you ask Mirza, he'd like to be back. He's a guy we have strong interest in bringing back as well." Teletovic broke the all-time record for the most 3-pointers by a reserve in a season, and he's been on fire over his last five games with averages of 21.6 points, 7.0 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 3.2 3-pointers on 47.0 percent shooting. Teletovic will be a free agent this summer, so he's peaking at the perfect time.

Apr 10 - 9:42 AM

Mirza Teletovic scored 22 points during a 121-100 win in New Orleans on Saturday, adding five rebounds, four assists, one block and four 3-pointers.

A year after a season-ending blood clot issue put his career in jeopardy, he's put his name on the map for Sixth Man of the Year. Teletovic probably won't win the award because the Suns will have a bottom-four record, but it's impressive. Meanwhile, the Suns getting a win moves them a half game behind the Nets for the 3-4 battle in the lottery. Celtics fans have to like that because they have Brooklyn's unprotected pick.
Apr 9 - 9:55 PM

Mirza Teletovic scored 26 points in a win over the Rockets on Thursday with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Usually, Teletovic picks up his high-scoring games when the Suns are getting beaten badly, but the Rockets didn't defend him on the perimeter in this game. He should be owned in all leagues the rest of the way.
Apr 7 - 10:56 PM

The Suns are interested in bringing back Mirza Teletovic, according to general manager Ryan McDonough.

McDonough said there is mutual interest in keeping Teletovic in Phoenix, so it would be an upset to see him leave the desert for greener pastures after the season. Despite coming off the Suns bench, Teletovic is averaging 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.6 three-pointers since the All-Star Break and is worth starting in all fantasy leagues at this point.
Apr 7 - 11:05 AM

Mirza Teletovic hit 4-of-13 shots and three more 3-pointers for 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in Tuesday's loss.

The three 3-pointers give him 165 on the season, breaking the NBA record for 3-pointers by a reserve. Chuck Person held the record with 164 3-pointers made off the bench, and it was a tough night for guys named Person. Wesley Person also had his Cavaliers' franchise-record for 3-pointers made broken by J.R. Smith tonight.
Apr 5 - 11:56 PM

Mirza Teletovic followed up Friday's double-double with 24 points, six rebounds, three 3-pointers and one steal in 31 minutes, shooting 9-of-16 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line.

Teletovic benefited from the absence of Jon Leuer (ankle) and the only blot on his boxscore was a season-high five turnovers. He's worth owning for scoring and 3-pointers, but be aware that Teletovic is shooting 41.9 percent from the field this season and he contributes precious assists or defensive stats.
Apr 3 - 9:12 PM

Mirza Teletovic scored 24 points during a 106-99 loss to the Wizards on Friday with 12 boards, one assist and two 3-pointers.

It was a very different game with Teletovic playing a lot close to the basket on both ends. Jon Leuer (ankle) did not play in this game and he could miss more time, so Teletovic looks locked in for his role off the bench. He should be owned in all leagues.
Apr 2 - 1:39 AM

Mirza Teletovic (illness) is not on the injury report for Friday against the Wizards.

He'll be good to go after an upset stomach kept him out on Wednesday. With Jon Leuer (ankle) out, Teletovic should be a lock for minutes in the 25-30 range tonight. He's worth owning in standard leagues and serves as a target in DFS.
Apr 1 - 4:16 PM

Mirza Teletovic (illness) is out for Wednesday against the Bucks.

The Suns are going to be really thin on the bench. Jon Leuer should be able to log minutes at both the four and the five off the bench while going smaller at the four against Jabari Parker is also in play. Teletovic should be able to return for the weekend.
