Mirza Teletovic played 23 minutes off the bench on Monday with nine points, six rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block and three 3-pointers.
The Suns went with a Mirza and Markieff Morris frontcourt for a big chunk of this game. Teletovic is earning more playing time, but he probably won't be getting 20 minutes when the Suns play a close game. He's a 16-team guy right now with upside. Nov 24 - 1:34 AM

Following Friday's 15-point game against the Nuggets, Mirza Teletovic told reporters that he feels he's "getting back in the basketball groove."

"It’s just like getting the rhythm of something different. You can’t practice that," said Teletovic. "You’ve got to play to get in game shape. The last three or four games really helped me out and gave me my confidence and I’m getting back in the basketball groove." Teletovic helped the Suns overcome a 28-point deficit on Friday, and he's been playing well lately averaging 10.8 points, 5.3 boards and 2.8 three-pointers over his past four games. He's worth a look in deep leagues for those seeking a 3-point specialist.
Nov 22 - 3:23 PM

Mirza Teletovic scored 15 points with five rebounds, three assists, one block and three 3-pointers in 21 minutes against the Nuggets on Friday.

The Suns destroyed the Nuggets from deep and Mirza was responsible for some of the damage with 9.4 minutes in the fourth quarter. Coach Jeff Hornacek was probably using him more in a matchup than anything else, so he's not a strong pickup with Markieff Morris back.
Nov 21 - 2:55 AM

Mirza Teletovic scored 11 points in 27 minutes off the bench on Monday, adding four rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers.

The Suns are playing really well without Markieff Morris (knee) and Teletovic being a stretch four is helping Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight get great shots. Morris shouldn't be out for much longer, so there's little incentive to adding Mirza.
Nov 17 - 1:24 AM

Mirza Teletovic played 29 minutes against the Nuggets on Saturday with 11 points, nine boards, three assists and three 3-pointers.

He did only score six points in the first half, but his 14 minutes in the first half tonight were second among big men (Tyson Chandler had 18). With Markieff Morris (knee) having a good chance to play on Monday, Teletovic isn't a great add.
Nov 15 - 12:58 AM

Mirza Teletovic scored six points in 18 minutes against the Clippers on Thursday with one rebound, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

To be fair, one of his 3-pointers came with the shot clock off when the Suns were up 11 points to break an unwritten rule of the court. Still, Teletovic could have more minutes headed his way, but Jon Leuer and T.J. Warren are both better pickups.
Nov 13 - 1:31 AM

Mirza Teletovic scored three points in nine minutes on Friday against the Pistons.

Teletovic looks like one of the Suns' patented insurance pickups in the event they can deal Markieff Morris. Teletovic hasn't done anything worth mentioning for over a month and he can be ignored in most leagues.
Nov 7 - 1:57 AM

Mirza Teletovic hit 6-of-15 shots and three 3-pointers for 19 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and a block in 36 minutes on Tuesday.

This outing was encouraging for his conditioning, but be aware that Tyson Chandler, Eric Bledsoe and Alex Len were sitting tonight. Markieff Morris is the starter at PF for the time being, but Teletovic could challenge him for minutes if he can play this well when the games start counting. He's a deep sleeper in fantasy.
Oct 14 - 1:55 AM

Mirza Teletovic missed nine of his 10 field goal attempts during Wednesday's preseason opener, finishing with five points, five rebounds, one steal and two turnovers in 17 minutes.

The good news is that Teletovic wasn't shy offensively and half of his attempts came from downtown, which suggests that coach Jeff Hornacek will give him a green light with the second unit. As long as Markieff Morris is healthy and happy as the Suns' starting PF, however, Teletovic is an afterthought in most leagues.
Oct 8 - 1:21 AM

Mirza Teletovic (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.

It's his third missed practice due to the flu. Teletovic is currently a backup power forward and wouldn't get decent minutes unless things really go south with Markieff Morris.
Sep 30 - 3:20 PM

Mirza Teletovic is dealing with the flu and did not participate in the Suns' first practice.

Teletovic won't have much fantasy value while Markieff Morris is in town, but if he's traded at some point this season and the Suns don't get a power forward back, Teletovic's fantasy value would see a major boost. For now, he's not worth drafting in most leagues.
Sep 29 - 3:50 PM

MIrza Teletovic feels that he is a "perfect" fit with the Suns.

Additionally, he has no health restrictions after dealing with blood clots last season. "I want to go where people know my game," he said. Here, I think they know my game and I think I fit perfectly here."Follow the link below to learn more about Teletovic's background, including growing up during the Bosnian war of the 1990s. As for his fantasy value, Teletovic's outlook would skyrocket if the Suns finally move on from Markieff Morris.
Sep 21 - 11:24 AM

Mirza Teletovic said that his hunger for basketball right now is "unbelievable."

"The hunger for basketball for me right now is unbelievable," Teletovic said. "It’s like a new beginning. I want to play with high energy and passion. It’s important for me to prove to everybody that it’s me. Imagine me playing now with my lungs at 100 percent." Teletovic has an excellent chance to play a lot of minutes for the Suns this season, and his outlook would improve even more if the Suns part ways with Markieff Morris. For now, Teletovic is on the radar in deeper leagues.
Sep 18 - 11:46 AM

Mirza Teletovic will not play for Bosnia in the European Championship.

If for some reason the Suns do not get a power forward back in a Markieff Morris deal, Teletovic and Jon "Johnny Basketball" Leuer would be the only true power forwards on the roster. You have to be in a very deep league to give Mirza a look.
Aug 29 - 2:16 PM

Mirza Teletovic said the Nets wanted him back, but he choose to sign with the Suns instead.

While Teletovic said the Nets wanted him to stay and the Kings offered him a two-year deal, he decided that Phoenix was the place he wanted to be. "I always loved Phoenix Suns, I loved Charles Barkley back then," Teletovic said. "I already have few friends there and I look forward to be there." The 29-year-old offers three-point help in deeper fantasy leagues, but he won't see enough minutes in Phoenix to warrant a spot on most fantasy rosters.
