Mirza Teletovic said the Nets wanted him back, but he choose to sign with the Suns instead.
While Teletovic said the Nets wanted him to stay and the Kings offered him a two-year deal, he decided that Phoenix was the place he wanted to be. "I always loved Phoenix Suns, I loved Charles Barkley back then," Teletovic said. "I already have few friends there and I look forward to be there." The 29-year-old offers three-point help in deeper fantasy leagues, but he won't see enough minutes in Phoenix to warrant a spot on most fantasy rosters. Jul 23 - 10:19 AM

Unrestricted free agent Mirza Teletovic has agreed to a one-year deal worth $5.5 million with the Suns.

Teletovic will backup Markieff Morris in Phoenix, so he won't be much more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues.
Jul 9 - 5:44 PM

The Nets rescinded their qualifying offer to Mirza Teletovic on Thursday, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Teletovic, a stretch-four, should receive plenty of interest around the league, and it'll be interesting to see if Brooklyn is able to retain him. In terms of fantasy value, he'd have to land on one of the bottom-feeder teams to truly emerge as a standard league asset. We'll be tracking his free agency closely.
Jul 9 - 4:59 PM

Nets general manager Billy King said the team is still in talks with Mirza Teletovic and is hopeful that it will work out.

Teletovic is a restricted free agent after being extended a $4.6 million qualifying offer from the Nets, so the mostly likely scenario has him landing back in Brooklyn. The 29-year-old has reportedly been generating quite a bit of interest from teams in Europe, so he'll also have that as a fall-back option. We'll provide updates as more information becomes available, but Teletovic profiles more as a deep league fantasy option no matter where he lands.
Jul 9 - 12:45 PM

According to Tim Bontemps of the New York Post, Mirza Teletovic is generating a lot of interest from teams in Europe.

Teletovic is a restricted free agent this summer, so the Nets can match any offer he receives from other NBA teams. It would definitely be surprising to see Teletovic head back to Europe, but the Nets have said that they want to bring him back. The market will dictate whether or not Brooklyn can afford to keep him, but Teletovic should garner plenty of interest due to his ability to stretch the floor.
Jul 1 - 8:32 AM

The Nets have extended a qualifying contract offer to Mirza Teletovic, making him a restricted free agent.

Brooklyn will now be able to match any offer Teletovic receives this summer, but it's not a lock that he'll return as it will depend on the types of offers he draws on the open market.
Jun 22 - 11:32 AM

Mirza Teletovic will play for the Bosnian National Team at EuroBasket this summer.

Teletovic's was forced to miss much of the 2014-15 season after an injury scare with blood clots in his lungs, but he was able to return in a limited capacity for the playoffs. Teletovic will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he has said that he would like to remain in Brooklyn. His role with the Nets will be dictated by whether or not Thaddeus Young can be retained, but if Young is back with in Brooklyn next season, Teletovic will have a limited role with the club and he won't be much more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues.
Jun 12 - 11:24 AM

Mirza Teletovic said at a press conference in Bosnia that he would like to remain with the Nets next season.

Teletovic will be a restricted free agent this offseason, and it'll be interesting to see what kind of salary he can command on the open market. He's a quality stretch-four, which is a valuable asset in today's NBA, but his 3-point shooting is really the only thing he brings to the stat sheet. He’s unlikely to be anything more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues, regardless of where he winds up.
May 8 - 1:56 PM

The Nets will extend a qualifying offer to Mirza Teletovic, making him a restricted free agent this summer.

Nets general manager Billy King said that the market will dictate whether or not they will be able to keep Teletovic, so there is no guarantee that we will see him back in Brooklyn next season. Teletovic should garner plenty of interest from other teams for his ability to space the floor, so it will be interesting to see what happens this summer. As of right now, Teletovic won't be a target in standard fantasy leagues.
May 6 - 11:38 AM

Mirza Teletovic said he'll leave his future up to his agent.

Teletovic will be an unrestricted free agent if the Nets don't extend a qualifying contract offer, but that seems unlikely. After returning from blood clots on his lungs this season, Teletovic's future in Brooklyn is a question mark.

May 4 - 10:09 AM

Mirza Teletovic played four minutes in his return to action on Wednesday.

He missed both attempts from the field and looked a bit out of sorts. Coach Lionel Hollins even said Mirza forgot some of the plays. He's unlikely to get significant run in the playoffs, but it's still great to see him back after some concern with his lung issue.
Apr 22 - 9:44 PM

Mirza Teletovic is active for Wednesday's game against the Hawks.

There has been nothing clear on his status and if he will actually play. Teletovic has been cleared since last week and went through practice on Friday. Unless the Nets really need 3-pointers to catch up, he's not going to play much tonight.
Apr 22 - 6:05 PM

Mirza Teletovic (lungs) is being listed as probable for Game 2 against the Hawks on Wednesday.

Teletovic had earlier been ruled out for Game 2, but after going through a full practice on Monday, it sounds like he's going to try to give it a go on Wednesday. He's likely to have his minutes held in check, as he hasn't seen any game-time action since January 22, so he's not going to be a strong fantasy play. His minutes will likely come at the expense of Earl Clark.
Apr 21 - 2:11 PM

Mirza Teletovic (lungs) went through practice on Monday.

He is still very unlikely to play on Wednesday, but this is fantastic news. Teletovic has been practicing since Friday and he's cleared to play in games. If he does play, he'll likely take some minutes away from Mason Plumlee or maybe Markel Brown with the Nets tweaking their rotation.
Apr 20 - 2:36 PM

Mirza Teletovic (lungs) has been cleared for basketball activities, but he will remain sidelined for Games 1 and 2 of the first round of the playoffs.

Teletovic was a full participant during Friday's practice, and while he will for sure spend the first two games of the Nets playoff series against the Hawks on the sidelines, there's a chance he enters the rotation after that. He's been out since January 22, so even if he is able to return, it'll likely be in a very limited capacity. He could potentially take away some minutes from Bojan Bogdanovic when he is able to return to the rotation.
