Orlando Johnson was a non-factor during Friday's overtime loss to the Grizzlies, missing all four of his attempts from the field to go with one rebound through five scoreless minutes.

Johnson was not effective during his 21 minutes of action on Wednesday, and it looks like he might be out of the rotation despite New Orleans being desperate for bodies. Johnson is not worth owning in most leagues.
Mar 11 - 11:41 PM

Orlando Johnson will come off the bench on Friday vs. the Grizzlies.

Toney Douglas will be replacing him in the first unit with Norris Cole (back) expected to miss his second straight game. Johnson did not look good on Wednesday with five points and three rebounds in 21 minutes, so he's safe to ignore in fantasy leagues.
Mar 11 - 1:38 PM

Orlando Johnson started the first half of Wednesday's game, notching five points and three rebounds in 21 minutes during a road loss vs. Charlotte.

Norris Cole (lower back) was unavailable tonight so Johnson got the nod for the decimated Pelicans, though he was benched for Toney Douglas in the second half. Johnson was just added on a 10-day contract via a hardship exemption, and he's a dubious source of value in all but the deepest leagues. Expect his role to shrivel once Cole is cleared to return.
Mar 9 - 10:25 PM

Orlando Johnson will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

Norris Cole (back) is out, and with the Pelicans scraping for healthy bodies, Johnson will enter the starting five out of desperation. He could be worth a punt play in DFS with a favorable matchup against Charlotte, but he's a wait-and-see guy in all season-long settings. Jrue Holiday could very well go bonkers tonight.
Mar 9 - 5:39 PM

Orlando Johnson will be available to play against the Hornets.

He is on a 10-day and is really the only true wing on the roster. Johnson could get minutes out of the gate, but it's not time to count on him yet. Just keep an eye on him.
Mar 9 - 5:01 PM

The Pelicans are expected to sign Orlando Johnson to a 10-day contract, according to sources of Shams Charania.

Johnson is averaging 15.5 points per game in the D-League, and he could actually crack the rotation in New Orleans with the Pelicans absolutely desperate for some backcourt depth. That being said, owners in most leagues can use a wait-and-see approach here.
Mar 8 - 3:08 PM

The Suns are not bringing back Orlando Johnson for a second 10-day deal.

Ronnie Price (toe) coming back will help the guard situation. The Suns need a small forward, so they'll let Johnson go. He'll be back with the Austin Spurs.
Feb 19 - 4:38 PM

Orlando Johnson scored nine points with eight rebounds, one steal and three blocks in 28 minutes against the Warriors on Wednesday.

He's ahead of Jordan McRae and the Suns will probably give him a second 10-day deal after the break. Johnson can be ignored in almost all leagues.
Feb 11 - 1:14 AM

Orlando Johnson played 19 minutes in his Phoenix debut on Saturday vs. the Jazz, scoring seven points with one board, one steal and one 3-pointer.

He was 2-of-5 from the field and coach Earl Watson said earlier that he likes his athleticism and heart. Johnson is on a 10-day deal and is hoping to get signed for the rest of the season, but he's not on the fantasy radar outside of the deepest of leagues until that happens.
Feb 7 - 1:14 AM

Suns coach Earl Watson spoke highly of newly-acquired guard Orlando Johnson.

"He plays with his heart like [P.J. Tucker]," Watson said. "He’s athletic. He’s shooting the ball well from 3 right now. But what we need more than anything right now is like-minded players. He has a like-minded attitude coming from the Spurs program. You know the attitude he’s going to have. He’s going to play the right way." Johnson is on a 10-day deal and will look to impress the Suns during Saturday's game vs. the Jazz. He's not on the fantasy radar for now.
Feb 6 - 11:29 AM

The Suns will sign Orlando Johnson to a 10-day deal.

The Suns have no healthy point guards on their roster and are playing three shooting guards and P.J. Tucker out of position. This season Johnson is averaging 15.2 points, 5.1 boards, 2.7 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.9 treys with the Austin Spurs this year. He's 26 years old, was a second-round pick in 2012 and hasn't been in the NBA since 2013-14.
Feb 5 - 2:21 AM

Orlandon Johnson has signed a deal to play for Barangay Ginebra in the Philippines.

Johnson was most recently playing for the Austin Spurs in the NBA D-League, and he posted averages of 17.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 43 games. We will track his progress closely, but he is well off the radar in fantasy leagues at the moment.

Orlando Johnson is finalizing a deal with Enel Brindisi in Italy.

He recently spent some time with the Kings on two 10-day deals and was with the Warriors at summer league, but apparently no NBA teams were willing to offer him a guaranteed contract. Johnson probably won't be getting a long-term deal with the NBA for a while.

Free agent guard Orlando Johnson will be playing for the Warriors Summer League team in Las Vegas.

Indiana waived Johnson during his second season with the club, after which he played on two 10-day contracts for the Kings. Orlando has compiled career averages of 3.2 points, and 1.7 rebounds, and he will look to make his case a depth guy during this year's Summer League.
