Free agent guard Orlando Johnson will be playing for the Warriors Summer League team in Las Vegas.
Indiana waived Johnson during his second season with the club, after which he played on two 10-day contracts for the Kings. Orlando has compiled career averages of 3.2 points, and 1.7 rebounds, and he will look to make his case a depth guy during this year's Summer League. Jun 27 - 4:33 PM

Orlando Johnson did not get a second 10-day contract from the Kings.

He's a free agent again, but may not land on another NBA team this season.

The Kings have signed SG Orlando Johnson to a second 10-day contract.

Johnson began the season as a bench-warmer in Indiana, and he hasn't fared much better in Sacramento -- he's a combined 3-of-16 from the field with the Kings.

Kings sign G Orlando Johnson.

He was Danny Granger insurance while back with the Pacers and played just 9.0 minutes per game in his 38 contests with them. Johnson's contract is a 10-day deal and he's not guaranteed to get playing time.

The Kings will reportedly sign G Orlando Johnson to a 10-day contract once Jimmer Fredette's buyout is complete.

That means Royce White, whom they worked out, should be out of play for the Kings, while Johnson may get a few minutes at both guard spots in Sacramento.

Pacers waive G Orlando Johnson.

The team had to make a cut because they acquired two players and only lost one at the deadline. Johnson was basically Danny Granger insurance this season, so the move makes a lot of sense. He may be picked up by another team.
Feb 20 - 10:15 PM

Pacers G/F Orlando Johnson logged 15 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, scoring nine points with one 3-pointer and one rebound.

Paul George and Lance Stephenson will dominate minutes on the wing for Indiana, but Danny Granger's season-opening calf injury has opened up a small role for Johnson and rookie Solomon Hill (eight minutes). "Rasual Butler and Chris Copeland are still options at the wing spot," said coach Frank Vogel, "but we’re going to go with [Johnson and Hill]."

Pacers guard Orlando Johnson lost 10 pounds this summer.

Johnson averaged 12 minutes per game as a rookie and he's eager to carve out a bigger role this season. "I’m more explosive, quicker and I just feel really good out there," said Johnson. "The game is feeling a lot more fluid. I’ve worked a lot on my pick-and-roll sets and stuff like that just to be an extra ball handler out there and be able to make some plays." Even with a few extra minutes per game, OJ won't be a fantasy option in standard leagues.

Orlando Johnson scored 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds, one steal and one block in 25 minutes of Monday's game.

Johnson and Jeff Pendergraph (14 points, three rebounds, 22 minutes) both saw extra time due to the lopsided score and absences to the Pacers' normal rotation. Beyond that, there's not much to see.

Orlando Johnson hit 5-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, three rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's win.

This was his first double-digits scoring night in his last nine games, meaning it was a fluke. Tyler Hansbrough couldn't get it going off the bench, and OJ took advantage of some extra minutes.

Orlando Johnson, who scored 15 points on Friday, finished Saturday's game with just two points in 11 minutes.

We never expected OJ to duplicate Friday's 5-of-5 shooting display, and Danny Granger's return officially ends his flirtation with fantasy relevance.

Rookie guard Orlando Johnson scored a season-high 14 points on 5-of-5 shooting (including three treys) with three rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes off the bench in Friday's blowout win.

Johnson had a career night in garbage time but there's not much to say beyond that. If he can put anything together fantasy-wise, we'll let you know.

Orlando Johnson scored a career-high eight points with two rebounds and two 3-pointers in 10 minutes.

The rookie scored all eight of his points in the first half. Johnson has no value and will lose playing time once Gerald Green (flu) returns.

Pacers recall G Orlando Johnson from the D-League.

He'll head back to the end of the bench.
Fri, Jan 4, 2013 11:11:00 AM

The Pacers assigned rookie G Orlando Johnson to the D-League.

Despite being praised by coach Frank Vogel for his development thus far, Johnson has played just three minutes this season. He'll head to the D-League to get some consistent minutes and won't impact the fantasy landscape at all this season.
