Justin Hamilton did not score against the Bucks on Saturday with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two turnovers in 18 minutes.
Coach Kenny Atkinson wanted to keep his second unit together with Trevor Booker (illness) out and he didn't tweak Hamilton's minutes at all tonight. He was getting more run at power forward earlier in the year, but he's been more of a center these days. Dec 3 - 7:40 PM

Justin Hamilton grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds on Sunday, adding six points, three assists and one steal without any turnovers in 24 minutes.

Hamilton came in shooting a team-high 42.6 percent from downtown but he missed both of his long-range attempts tonight. He helped the Nets stay competitive on the glass tonight, and their offense produced 105 points, but they were once again destroyed defensively -- the Kings scored 122 points on 53.5 percent shooting, including a 13-of-23 mark from downtown.
Nov 27 - 9:19 PM

Justin Hamilton struggled vs. the Clippers on Monday, scoring three points (a triple) with three rebounds and one turnover in 21 minutes.

This was arguably the dud of the night. Hamilton shot 1-of-5 from the field and never got it going after picking up a pair of quick fouls in the first quarter. He was averaging 9.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 0.9 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.8 triples in his previous nine games, and he will return to the bench on Tuesday vs. the Lakers with Brook Lopez (rest) expected to play.
Nov 15 - 12:55 AM

Justin Hamilton will start in place of the resting Brook Lopez on Monday vs. the Clippers.

He started one game earlier in the season and played 30 minutes in that one, so that's a fair expectation for tonight. Hamilton is a nice streaming option on Monday and should do just enough to warrant ownership in standard leagues the rest of the way. A Lopez trade would be huge for his value.
Nov 14 - 9:35 PM

Justin Hamilton got hot off the bench during a 110-96 loss to the Knicks on Wednesday, scoring a career-high 21 points with four rebounds, one assist and five 3-pointers in 23 minutes.

His five treys were a career high, as well. Justin might be the second hottest Hamilton ticket in New York City with eight treys in his last two games. He's carved out a consistent role with minutes between 20-24 minutes in each of his last four and the Nets continue to run up and down. He's currently hanging around mid-round value for standard leagues on the year, but he should cool off from this terrific start. With Brook Lopez likely to get rest, Hamilton is worth a long look in standard leagues.
Nov 10 - 12:35 AM

Justin Hamilton (left ankle) scored six points on 3-of-4 shooting on Wednesday, with three rebounds, three assists and one block in 23 bench minutes.

Hamilton tweaked his ankle on Monday but it didn't seem like an issue tonight. He's off to a surprisingly productive start this season but will likely be inconsistent while Brook Lopez is healthy. Plan accordingly.
Nov 2 - 10:35 PM

Justin Hamilton was held scoreless on Monday vs. the Bulls, tweaking his left ankle in the process.

He briefly went to the locker room but was able to return for the second half. He missed all four of his shots and added seven rebounds, one steal and one block in 17 minutes. The Nets are being extremely careful with Brook Lopez this season which has led to increased opportunity for Hamilton, so he's someone to watch closely moving forward.
Oct 31 - 10:21 PM

Justin Hamilton scored six points in the starting lineup against the Bucks on Saturday, adding three rebounds, one assist, three steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

The offense wasn't there for points leagues and DFS, but his standard league owners will take this all day. Brook Lopez is going to be managed for most of the season with the Nets caring more about the long-term plans. Hamilton should definitely have value in deep leagues and can be a stream in shallow leagues when the Nets are on a back-to-back.
Oct 29 - 11:32 PM

Justin Hamilton is confirmed as the starter against the Bucks on Saturday.

He will be next to Jeremy Lin, Bojan Bogdanovic, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Trevor Booker. Hamilton should get plenty of burn in the starting lineup and could have a great game against a suspect Bucks front line.
Oct 29 - 7:49 PM

Justin Hamilton is listed as the starter against the Bucks on Saturday.

We'll look for something more official than a lineup screen, but it looks like Hamilton is the guy for tonight. Whatever the case, Hamilton looks like a bargain for DFS tonight and should have value with Brook Lopez possibly resting in several back-to-back games. Luis Scola should play more tonight, as well.
Oct 29 - 7:12 PM

Justin Hamilton played 28 minutes off the bench on Friday with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one 3-pointer.

Coach Kenny Atkinson called him a good system fit and he's certainly getting the green light, making 4-of-12 from beyond the arc in his two games. Hamilton has gone on hot streaks before from two seasons ago, so this and his 19-point, 10-board line in the opener isn't a complete fluke. He's already in the mix as a 14-team guy and could be more, but Atkinson's rotation will be a total mess.
Oct 28 - 10:41 PM

Justin Hamilton double-doubled with 19 points and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench vs. Boston on Wednesday, making 7-of-12 shots with three 3-pointers.

The Nets don't have a deep backcourt and Hamilton could actually be one of the first guys off the bench this year. Fantasy owners might remember his spurt of productivity for an injury-ravaged Wolves team in 2014-15, and he's at least worth considering as a handcuff for Brook Lopez in deeper leagues.
Oct 26 - 10:53 PM

Justin Hamilton scored 11 points with six rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes on Thursday.

He fired away on the outside with seven shots from deep. Coach Kenny Atkinson is playing him at both center and power forward spots in the second unit. The Nets offense is going to be built on spacing, so Hamilton's ability to hit treys and defend bigger centers figures to get him minutes. He's already in the mix on 16-team leagues.
Oct 20 - 11:08 PM

Justin Hamilton started at center on Tuesday vs. the Heat and scored 12 points with three rebounds, one assist and two treys in 21 minutes.

He started tonight because Brook Lopez was getting the night off to rest. Hamilton was exposed on the defensive end, but he's got some upside with his 3-point range -- he's a career 32.5 percent shooter from deep. If Lopez has to miss time this season, Hamilton would be a hot pickup. For now, he's the favorite to win the backup job and is currently looking at minutes in the teens.
Oct 11 - 10:15 PM

Nets coach Kenny Atkinson spoke highly of Justin Hamilton and said he views him as a stretch five.

"We thought Justin had a fantastic season over in Valencia," Atkinson said. "He's a stretch five, he can extend the floor from 3-point range. But he's more than a stretch five, because he's a tough guy. He knows how to play inside and he knows how to finish around the basket." They agreed to a deal on July 1, so clearly the Nets are high on him. If the Nets end up trading Brook Lopez, Hamilton could be a factor in fantasy leagues.
