Kyle O'Quinn was effective in Monday's 119-104 win at Brooklyn, going for 11 points with seven rebounds, three assist sand two blocked shots over 23 minutes.
O'Quinn was a perfect 4-of-4 from the field, as he had the hot hand to eat into the minutes of Enes Kanter. In fact, O'Quinn and Willy Hernangomez were a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor, keeping Kanter nailed to the bench for a good chunk of the game. Both centers have drawn trade inquires recently, and they certainly improved their stock with solid showings. New York has a logjam at the position, so someone might be on their way out of town soon. A new situation might mean new fantasy appeal, so we'll watch this situation closely. Jan 15 - 6:13 PM

Teams have contacted the Knicks about potentially trading for Kyle O'Quinn and Willy Hernangomez, according to the New York Post.

According to the Post report, "the Knicks have received more inquiries about Hernangomez than anyone else on their roster" and "a couple of playoff-bound teams have asked about O’Quinn as a rental." The Knicks have a logjam at center, which is why New York is motivated to deal one of their four centers. This will be a situation to keep an eye on as we move closer to the February trade deadline.

Kyle O'Quinn scored 15 points with 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in just 23 minutes on Sunday.

The veteran made 6-of-7 shots, with all but one of his shots coming inside the paint -- he knows how to play to his strengths. Despite playing only 17.0 minutes over the past month, he's carved out standard-league roto value as a source of rebounds (5.2), blocks (1.1) and FG percentages (63.6% on 5.1 attempts).
Jan 7 - 10:25 PM

Kyle O'Quinn notched his third double-double of the season on Wednesday, scoring 13 points with 10 rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

KOQ made 6-of-10 shots with two assists, one steal, one block and zero turnovers, and he was rewarded with more playing time than starting center Enes Kanter (18 minutes). O'Quinn rarely takes a shot he can't make and he went 65.2% from the field in December, which is a big part of his roto appeal. He's still just a fringe option while Kanter and Kristaps Porzingis are healthy.
Jan 3 - 11:41 PM

The Knicks may consider trading Kyle O'Quinn at the deadline, according to a report in the New York Post.

It certainly makes sense for the Knicks to consider moving one of their four centers. With O'Quinn serving as Enes Kanter's backup, Willy Hernangomez has been buried on the bench. Hernangomez, who was named to the All-Rookie team last season, has been a DNP-CD in 11 of the Knicks last 12 games. This is something to keep an eye on over the next six weeks.

Kyle O'Quinn (calf, illness) will play on Monday vs. the 76ers.

O'Quinn has held off Willy Hernangomez and Joakim Noah for the backup center role, so assuming he's feeling up to it, he should see his normal allotment of minutes in the teens. He has December averages of 6.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 blocks.

Kyle O'Quinn is dealing with a calf strain in addition to an illness.

Marc Berman of the New York Post said that KOQ could be held out of Monday's game vs. the 76ers, while ESPN's Ian Begley said he's "likely to play." If KOQ can't go, the Knicks will either turn to Willy Hernangomez or Joakim Noah as their backup center.

Kyle O'Quinn missed Sunday's practice due to an illness.

Barring an official update from the Knicks, we'll consider KOQ questionable for Monday's game vs. the 76ers. If he can't go, it's unclear if the Knicks would roll with Willy Hernangomez or Joakim Noah as their backup center behind Enes Kanter.

Kyle O'Quinn played 24 minutes off the bench and had eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block on 2-of-4 shooting in Thursday's unlikely win over the Celtics.

KOQ also hit 4-of-6 free throws and has been playing well lately, averaging 8.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.2 blocks on 65 percent shooting over his last five. As long as Enes Kanter is healthy, KOQ's upside is limited, but he's playing well enough that he deserves a look in leagues where centers are thin on the waiver wire.

Kyle O'Quinn returned to the bench on Wednesday, where he made 4-of-4 shots to finish with nine points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 14 minutes.

O'Quinn had been starting in place of Enes Kanter (back) for the past three games, but Kanter looked fine in his return tonight. New York isn't going to play those two together, even if Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) misses time -- as long as Kanter is active, KOQ's upside is limited.

Kyle O'Quinn will return to the bench for Wednesday's matchup against Miami.

Enes Kanter (back) will be replacing him in the starting five tonight, so O'Quinn's minutes figure to take a decent sized hit here. He's not a great option in most formats.
Wed, Nov 29, 2017 07:17:00 PM

Kyle O'Quinn started at center for the Knicks on Monday and had eight points, 11 rebounds and three assists on 4-of-8 shooting in 25 minutes.

The lack of a steal or block was disappointing, but he played pretty well in the loss. Enes Kanter sat this one out with a back injury and remains day-to-day, so it's possible that KOQ could be in line for another start or two. Joakim Noah finally made his return tonight, but played just three minutes.
Mon, Nov 27, 2017 10:23:00 PM

Kyle O'Quinn scored 20 points with 15 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 25 against the Rockets on Saturday.

This has happened a couple times where KOQ puts up a dud on a night people have high hopes like his two-point Friday, but then just explodes the next time like tonight. Of course, Kristaps Porzingis (back) not playing today is a big reason why. Both KP and Enes Kanter (back) are not expected to miss much time, so O'Quinn is more of a speculative add for Monday.
Sat, Nov 25, 2017 11:10:00 PM

Kyle O'Quinn scored two points in a start against the Hawks on Friday, adding six rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and four turnovers in 23 minutes.

It's a little bit of a letdown in the starting lineup, but any experienced DFS player will tell you all about how KOQ doesn't come through when he's chalk. Enes Kanter (back) could miss another game, so maybe O'Quinn could be better on Saturday. His value doesn't really change much because his minutes only get a slight uptick.
Fri, Nov 24, 2017 11:10:00 PM

Kyle O'Quinn will start in place of Enes Kanter (back spasms) on Friday vs. the Hawks.

Joakim Noah likely would've been activated, but he's home with an illness. In addition to KOQ seeing a bump in minutes, the Knicks might finally unleash talented second-year center Willy Hernangomez. Both players could split the center minutes tonight, putting them on the punt radar in DFS.
