European prospect Ilkan Karaman "still has some development to go through ... before [the Nets] bring him over," according to GM Billy King.
This doesn't change anything for Brooklyn next season since Karaman, an imposing 23-year-old forward, signed with a team in Turkey last summer and isn't even eligible for a buyout until 2014. It's anyone's guess when or if we'll see him in the NBA. May 13 - 4:53 PM

Ilkan Karaman has signed with Fenerbahce Ulker in Turkey.

Karaman was the No. 57 overall pick of the 2012 draft, but his new contract in Turkey is for three years and won't be eligible for a potential buyout to head to the NBA until 2014.

With their one and only pick in the 2012 draft, the Nets selected Turkish PF Ilkan Karaman at No. 57.

Karaman is very strong and has good athleticism, but he's a bit undersized and is a longshot to join the Nets any time soon.
