Robbie Hummel (back) returned to action and double-doubled with 11 points and 10 rebounds over 33 minutes in Monday's loss.
Hummel also hit a three and had two assists to round out this line. The Wolves were down to six healthy players by the end of the game and it wouldn't be surprising if he got a big workload on Wednesday. Apr 14 - 3:44 AM

Date:

Robbie Hummel (back) will try to play against the Pelicans on Monday.

The Wolves will need him with Kevin Martin out. Expect Hummel to play around 24 minutes tonight, which puts him on the radar in deep leagues.
Apr 13 - 7:47 PM

Robbie Hummel (back) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Even if available, there are no guarantees that Hummel leaves the bench, and it's safe to leave him on the wire in nearly all leagues.
Apr 12 - 2:05 PM

Robbie Hummel (back) was in uniform for Saturday's game vs. the Warriors, but he never left the bench.

Hummel warmed up with the team and was hoping to give them a few minutes off the bench, but his back is still giving him a lot of problems and it's not surprising to see the Wolves hold him out. He is listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. the Pelicans, while Chase Budinger and Arinze Onuaku will benefit if Hummel can't give it a go.
Apr 12 - 11:16 AM

Contrary to a previous report, Robbie Hummel (back) will dress and might be able to play a few minutes vs. the Warriors on Saturday.

He was ruled out just a few minutes ago, so this is definitely a surprise. However, the Wolves have been shorthanded for a while now, so they could use all the help they can get. Hummel is still really sore and isn't guaranteed to see many minutes, so owners in most leagues can ignore this. Chase Budinger and Arinze Onuaku will benefit if Hummel doesn't see any action.
Apr 11 - 9:51 PM

Robbie Hummel (back) will not play vs. the Warriors on Saturday night.

He injured his back in a bad fall on Friday night and played through the pain, but he said he is still experiencing soreness and will sit out tonight. Chase Budinger will have even more responsibility off the bench and is a must-own player in standard leagues, while Arinze Onuaku could play more as well.
Apr 11 - 9:35 PM

Robbie Hummel (back) is questionable to play against the Warriors on Saturday.

He took a bad fall on Friday night and was able to play through it. The Wolves have a late game tonight, so we probably won't get word of his status until 8:30 EDT. If he's out, Chase Budinger and Justin Hamilton will have to play more. Anrize Onuaku may also get minutes.
Apr 11 - 3:22 PM

Robbie Hummel (hand) posted six points on 2-of-4 shooting during his return on Sunday, adding one rebound and one assist in 18 minutes of action.

Hummel's return is excellent news for the banged-up Wolves but he's unlikely to make a dent in fantasy leagues. With season averages of 4.2 points, 0.3 triples, 2.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists, it's logical to leave Hummel on the waiver wire.
Mar 29 - 6:22 PM

Robbie Hummel (hand) will be available to play Sunday vs. the Pelicans.

Hummel has been out since Jan. 25 with a broken hand, so he'll more than likely have his minutes limited today. He'll give the Wolves some much-needed backcourt depth, but until he becomes a major part of the rotation, he belongs on the waiver wire in nearly all leagues.
Mar 29 - 2:54 PM

Robbie Hummel (hand) is questionable to play against the Pelicans on Sunday.

He is hopeful to return this season, but being questionable for Sunday is a little optimistic. He would likely get some forward minutes upon his return, but keep him on the wire in just about all leagues.
Mar 28 - 6:22 PM

Robbie Hummel (hand) could return at some point this season.

The team is going to wait for him to fully heal, but they need forwards right now. Hummel can be left on the wire in all leagues until he practices. Additionally, the Wolves updating Hummel and Anthony Bennett is either really good or bad on the status of Justin Hamilton (illness).
Mar 21 - 3:14 PM

Robbie Hummel (hand) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. OKC.

With averages of just 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds on the season, and no clear return date set, Hummel belongs on the waiver wire in nearly all leagues.
Mar 13 - 11:40 AM

Robbie Hummel (hand) is "pretty much fully healed" from his hand injury, according to coach Flip Saunders.

The Wolves would likely get him in the rotation upon his return. Hummel is still likely going to return in a week or so and can remain on the wire in most leagues.
Mar 4 - 7:02 PM

Head coach Flip Saunders said that Robbie Hummel (hand) will be reevaluated this week.

Hummel has been sidelined since Jan. 25 and has missed the last 15 games, but it's likely going to be a couple more weeks before we see him back in action. He was averaging just 4.2 points and 2.8 boards in 15.0 minutes per game prior to the injury, so owners outside of the deepest of leagues can ignore this news.
Mar 1 - 9:09 AM

Robbie Hummel (hand) is expected to return in three weeks.

The Wolves need him back. Shabazz Muhammad (finger) is out for the season and Thaddeus Young is in Brooklyn, so they will need someone to play the forward spots. What's more, Gary Neal is also out tonight, so Andrew Wiggins and Kevin Martin won't have any backups from players who logged any minutes at the two or three in their last game. We might see some Glenn Robinson III and Zach LaVine on the wing with Lorenzo Brown playing backup point guard.
