Alexey Shved made 1-of-7 from the field in eight minutes of action against the Knicks on Saturday.
He did not see the court in the second half and coach Brett Brown may have had an epiphany with Shved. He was their backup point guard, but that should probably change soon. Shved has no fantasy value and the fact that he's getting minutes is exhibit A for the tank conspiracy theorists out there. Nov 23 - 12:54 AM

Alexey Shved played 18 minutes off the bench against the Suns on Friday with 15 points, five rebounds, two steals and three 3-pointers on 6-of-9 from the field.

If the Sixers are indeed going to stick with Tony Wroten in the starting lineup, Shved will be the backup point guard. He actually has one of the highest usage rates among players with less than 20 minutes, but he's obviously only worth owning in deep leagues. After all, he was a DNP-CD on Wednesday.
Nov 21 - 9:27 PM

Alexey Shved returned to action on Monday with four points, one assist and one steal in 12 minutes.

He is getting some run at point guard, which is important because that may dictate how the Sixers use Tony Wroten. Shved has no fantasy value, though.
Nov 18 - 2:11 AM

Alexey Shved (back) did not play on Thursday against the Mavs or on Friday against the Rockets.

Until Shved can get healthy and build some momentum, he can be ignored in most formats.
Nov 15 - 1:07 AM

Alexey Shved (lower back soreness) missed practice again on Wednesday, leaving him questionable for Thursday's game vs. Dallas.

Shved has been playing 18 minutes per game, so if he can't suit up more minutes will be available for Tony Wroten, Chris Johnson and K.J. McDaniels. The return of Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) will fundamentally alter Philly's rotation, though, so fantasy owners may want to hedge their bets until we see how coach Brett Brown doles out playing time.
Nov 12 - 5:29 PM

Alexey Shved (back) sat out Tuesday's practice with lower back soreness.

It's unclear what this means for Shved's availability for Thursday's game against the Mavericks, but we're considering him questionable until more information is available. Shved has some fantasy value for owners in deep leagues, but he's best left on waivers in standard leagues as he's only playing 17.9 minutes per game so far this season.
Nov 11 - 1:52 PM

Alexey Shved hit just 1-of-6 shots in 14 minutes off the bench on Friday, finishing with three points, four assists and a steal.

Shved also had two turnovers and it looks like Brett Brown is going to ride the hot hand from night to night. He had 18 points, three rebounds, five assists and three treys on Wednesday, but he'll need to show consistency before owners should treat him as anything but a highly risky stash best suited for deep leagues.
Oct 31 - 11:17 PM

Alexey Shved blew up for 18 points, three rebounds, five assists and three 3-pointers on 5-of-11 shooting on Wednesday.

He played 24 minutes and was one of the more surprising players this evening. He struggled badly during the preseason and we definitely need to see more from Shved going forward before telling you to pick him up. But he did look very good tonight.
Oct 29 - 10:59 PM

Alexey Shved was his usual self on Monday against the Nets, making 1-of-8 from the field for four points with six rebounds, no assists and three turnovers.

What else does he have to do to not get minutes? Coach Brett Brown said he is going to look at Shved as a point guard, but he has just two assists in his last three games.
Oct 20 - 10:53 PM

Alexey Shved started on Friday against the Wolves and looked horrible, scoring seven points with four rebounds, six assists, one steal and three turnovers in 22 minutes.

His three turnovers were embarrassing and he did not look comfortable out there. Shved doesn't belong on the court on most teams, but the 76ers are going to give him a look.
Oct 10 - 10:40 PM

Alexey Shved played on Monday and scored two points in 12 minutes.

He has a sore back and made just 1-of-4 from the field. Shved is not worth drafting in almost any league, but hopefully you knew that.
Oct 6 - 11:06 PM

Alexey Shved (back) is available to play in Monday's preseason game vs. Boston.

Shved will backup Tony Wroten at the point guard spot for Monday's preseason game, but his inefficiency on the offensive end has really hampered is fantasy value. Shved averaged 4.0 points on 32.1 percent shooting from the field in just over 10 minutes of action with the Timberwolves last season, and he's not a guy to target in standard leagues.
Oct 6 - 7:07 PM

Alexey Shved (back) is a game-time decision to face the Celtics on Monday.

He's been on the injury report for much of the month of October, but his back soreness is not considered serious. Shved is expected to get run at point guard this preseason. There is little reason to be excited about his outlook.
Oct 6 - 1:17 PM

Alexey Shved (sore lower back) missed practice on Saturday.

He doesn't have a noteworthy history with back problems and the severity is unknown. Shved is expected to get a chance to play point guard with the Sixers, according to coach Brett Brown. That's probably a good sign because he can't get much worse than he was as a shooting guard with the Wolves.
Oct 4 - 5:37 PM

Coach Brett Brown said he wants to try Alexey Shved at point guard.

Well, one season after turning in a 38 effective field goal percentage, a coach isn't going to be very confident at putting him in the shooting guard spot. Quite frankly, a coach probably shouldn't put him in any spot. Shved can be ignored in almost all leagues.
