Kent Bazemore scored 15 points in a start against the Heat on Saturday with two rebounds, one assist, three steals and two 3-pointers.
The Hawks rested DeMarre Carroll and Thabo Sefolosha (calf) is not close to a return, so Bazemore had a big chance tonight. Carroll should be ready to go for next week, which means Bazemore can stay on the wire in most formats. Feb 28 - 10:19 PM

Date:

Hawks swingman Kent Bazemore came off the bench for 14 points, two 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 30 minutes of action on Sunday.

He made 5-of-11 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs without any turnovers. Bazemore is worth a look in deeper formats, especially if you need 3-pointers and steals, as he's bound to averaging 25-30 minutes per game with Thabo Sefolosha (calf) sidelined for 6-8 weeks.
Feb 8 - 8:41 PM

Kent Bazemore stepped up in 27 minutes on Friday against the Warriors with 11 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers.

He said he's "definitely" going to keep the stat sheet from this game. Bazemore started his career with the Warriors and he was arguably the best player in 2013 summer league. However, he's not going to get consistent minutes to be an asset in most leagues.
Feb 7 - 12:04 AM

Kent Bazemore started and logged 27 minutes on Monday, finishing with nine points and three rebounds with no other production.

Bazemore hasn't done anything with his jump in playing time and now DeMarre Carroll (23 minutes) is back. Theoretically he might be able to get something going now that Thabo Sefolosha is out for a while, but owners can watch that action from the wire in reasonably sized formats.
Feb 3 - 1:10 AM

Kent Bazemore is adjusting to a starting role with Thabo Sefolosha (calf) out for 6-8 weeks.

"It’s different physically," he said. "I only have one gear, I think, and if I’m out there trying to pace, I’m not going to be as aggressive as I can be." More interestingly, Bazemore has been adjusting the way he runs, jumps and shoots since being with the Hawks, and Atlanta wants to make sure he's as consistent as possible with his on-court activities. With Sefolosha out indefinitely and DeMarre Carroll (Achilles) hurting, owners in deep leagues could do a lot worse than a speculative Bazemore add.

Kent Bazemore scored just three points with three rebounds, two assists and one block in 30 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday.

He didn't play great and he lost some minutes to Dennis Schroder. The Hawks are going to be without Thabo Sefolosha for possibly the rest of the regular season, so Bazemore should be in the rotation. However, he's only worth a look in deep leagues.
Jan 31 - 11:53 PM

Kent Bazemore played a season-high 40 minutes against the Blazers on Friday, scoring 12 points with five rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.

DeMarre Carroll (Achilles) didn't play and Thabo Sefolosha (calf) was hurt in the first quarter. Excluding the two games in which the Hawks rested guys, Bazemore hasn't played more than 26 minutes and he has a ton of DNP-CDs. However, there's a good chance he gets run with Carroll and Thabo out. He's still only worth a look in deep leagues.
Jan 30 - 10:01 PM

Kent Bazemore took advantage of extra playing time on Tuesday, scoring a season-high 17 points with three 3-pointers, five rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes.

The Hawks were down three starters, including SF DeMarre Carroll, so there were plenty of fluky performances for Atlanta tonight. This was Bazemore's second double-digit scoring game all season, but it's at least nice to know he can step up when his number is called.
Jan 13 - 10:41 PM

Kent Bazemore (foot) returned to action on Tuesday, going scoreless in six minutes off Atlanta's bench.

"It went well," Bazemore said. "I was a little rusty, my timing was a little off, but you can't really simulate a game. I know it'll take some time." He's not on the fantasy radar as long as Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll are healthy and starting on the wings.

Kent Bazemore (foot) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

Bazemore has been going through 5-on-5 full contact practices, so the team is likely just being cautious here. He will be competing for minutes with the likes of Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll, and Thabo Sefolosha, and that’s not a situation that spells fantasy success. Bazemore isn’t going to be worth drafting in standard leagues.

Kent Bazemore (foot) went through a 5-on-5 full contact practice on Wednesday.

It's a great sign for Bazemore's chances to play in the season opener, but he is still probably going to miss more preseason action. He'll come off the bench behind DeMarre Carroll this season, but may hurt Carroll's fantasy value.

Kent Bazemore (foot) will not play in Monday's preseason exhibition vs. the Pelicans.

Bazemore had foot surgery back in April but the Hawks are taking every precaution after signing him to a two-year contract this summer. Once healthy, he'll be part of a competitive wing rotation that includes Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll and Thabo Sefolosha.

Kent Bazemore (foot) will be brought along slowly in training camp.

He is expected to be ready for the start of the season. Bazemore had season-ending foot surgery back in April and signed a two-year deal in July. He will likely help the second unit on the wing and isn't worth drafting in most fantasy leagues.

Hawks sign G/F Kent Bazemore for two years.

He'll make $2 million per season and is expected to see action at both the SG and SF spots for the Hawks, although it appears he'll come off the bench. How many minutes he'll get will determine his fantasy value, but Bazemore has the potential for big things in Atlanta. Target him as a late sleeper in your drafts.

Kent Bazemore will reportedly sign a two-year, $4 million deal to play for the Hawks.

Bazemore's contract is fully guaranteed and though there are some quality players along the wing with Kyle Korver, and DeMarre Carroll, Thabo Sefolosha and if we're feeling nice John Salmons -- this isn't necessarily a crucial blow to his fantasy value. If he can elbow his way in front of Sefolosha and Salmons, he could be positioned for 20-30 minutes per game.
