Kent Bazemore said that he would love to stay in Atlanta.
"I am a free agent again this summer and would love to stay in Atlanta," Bazemore said. "The one thing I have learned throughout this journey is how important balance is. The game takes up a huge amount of your time, and those moments you step away from it, you want to be happy. I have grown so much in Atlanta, not only as a player but as a person, too." The Hawks drafted two small forwards on Thursday, but general manager Wes Wilcox made it clear that re-signing Bazemore is still a top priority for the franchise. Jun 25 - 10:50 AM

Even though the Hawks drafted two small forwards, they will still make re-signing Kent Bazemore a priority in free agency.

"I will say Kent Bazemore is absolutely a Hawks priority," general manager Wes Wilcox said after the draft. "We love Kent. He is a huge part of what we do. I don’t think there should be any confusion as to how important Kent is to us." The Hawks drafted two small forwards in the first round in Taurean Prince and DeAndre Bembry, but Wilcox said that he simply took the best player available with each pick.

The Pelicans are expected to go after free agent Kent Bazemore.

This isn't a surprise. Even on top of all the injuries, perhaps no team needs a reliable small forward more than the Pelicans. They just agreed to a deal with Danny Ferry as an advisor, so Ferry will likely be a part of this pursuit. Bazemore is still just 26 and his career didn't really take off until he turned 23.

Kent Bazemore said that he'd "love" to return to the Hawks as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

"I would love to return here," Bazemore said. "I think the past two years I’ve taken a tremendous leap." Bazemore established himself as a starter with the Hawks, and produced some of the best numbers of his career with averages of 11.6 points, 5.1 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 triples per game. It'll be interesting to see if another team can sway him away from Atlanta with a big offer, but in terms of fantasy hoops, Atlanta likely gives him the best opportunity to produce.
May 11 - 10:35 AM

Kent Bazemore's shooting woes continued during Sunday's Game 4 loss to Cleveland, as he went just 5-of-12 from the field on his way to 11 points, seven boards, two assists, one 3-pointer and three steals in 39 minutes.

Bazemore shot just 34.2 percent from the field through Round 2, to go with averages of 8.8 points, 6.0 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.3 triples and 1.8 steals per game. While he struggled against the Cavs, he had a nice year with the Hawks and he should receive some interest as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. It’ll be interesting to see where he winds up, but from a fantasy perspective, it’s tough to see him landing in a situation much better than the one he has in Atlanta.
May 8 - 6:43 PM

Kent Bazemore made 1-of-5 from the field for three points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

He lost a couple minutes of playing time because Thabo Sefolosha started and Kyle Korver was fairly hot in this game. Bazemore did a decent job on Kyrie Irving at times early in this game, but that doesn't help his fantasy output. After a 1-of-7 shooting line in Game 2, you could argue the extra effort on D is a reason why his fantasy value is hurting.
May 6 - 9:42 PM

Kent Bazemore scored 16 points with 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes against the Cavs on Monday.

He's making himself some nice money in the past couple months. Bazemore was aggressive on both ends and isn't passing up many shots. Expect to continue to produce in this series.
May 2 - 10:01 PM

Kent Bazemore scored 15 points with four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Celtics on Thursday.

He's making some money this month. In his six playoff games, Bazemore averaged 14.0 points, 7.0 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.8 treys. He'll have a huge role in the next round and will likely be starting off on LeBron James. Expect him to play minutes in the mid 30s.
Apr 28 - 11:07 PM

Kent Bazemore scored 16 points to lead the Hawks to a 110-83 win over the Celtics in Game 5 on Tuesday, giving them a 3-2 series lead.

He's the definition of a streaky player, as he needed just 23 minutes to score 16 points tonight after scoring just five points in 40 minutes in Game 4. That inconsistency makes him hard to trust, but the upside is clearly there if you deploy him on the right night. Bazemore added five boards, one block and four 3-pointers on 6-of-14 shooting. He was listed as probable on the injury report due to a lingering knee issue, but he obviously looked fine tonight.
Apr 26 - 11:06 PM

Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer said Kent Bazmore (knee) is feeling good ahead of Game 5 on Tuesday.

Bazemore is listed as probable with a knee injury, but it's nothing that will hold him out of such an important game on Tuesday. Bazemore is averaging 13.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 three-pointers in the thus far in the playoffs and is a strong DFS play on Tuesday.
Apr 26 - 11:52 AM

Kent Bazemore (knee) is probable for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Celtics.

He'll be good to go and has been probable for the entire series. Bazemore has been active during the playoffs and should continue to flirt with his postseason averages of 13.3 points, 8.3 boards, 2.3 dimes, 1.3 steals and 1.3 treys.
Apr 25 - 5:13 PM

Kent Bazemore (knee) is listed as probable for Sunday against the Celtics.

He's fine and the Hawks have put him on the injury report in all three games. Bazemore has been very active, so expect him to have another solid effort on the stat sheet in Boston.
Apr 23 - 5:09 PM

Kent Bazemore was active in his 34 minutes against the Celtics on Friday, making 8-of-19 from the field for 20 points with eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

He was forcing a lot of shots and perhaps the Hawks should have got the ball inside to Al Horford, who finished with eight points, 13 rebounds, six assists, two steals and four blocks. Bazemore has been terrific for most of the season with a few cold streaks, and now coach Mike Budenholzer is leaning on him a lot. He'll be a solid DFS play on Sunday.
Apr 22 - 11:01 PM

Kent Bazemore (right knee stiffness) is probable to play in Game 3 on Friday.

Bazemore has not looked limited by the knee injury at all during his first two games, so it would be surprising to see him hit the sidelines on Friday night. Plan on having him available.
Apr 21 - 5:23 PM

Kent Bazemore was held to five points in Game 2 vs. Boston on Tuesday, shooting just 2-of-14 from the field and 1-of-5 from the 3-point line.

He was unstoppable in Game 1 with 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting, but he fell back to earth tonight. Bazemore still played 29 minutes and also added nine rebounds, four assists and two steals, so he gets a pass here.
