Kent Bazemore kept it going during a win over the Knicks on Monday, scoring 16 points with six rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
He didn't shoot the ball well, making just 5-of-13 from the field. Bazemore is playing with more confidence these days and had a big 24-point effort on Sunday. Theoretically, he should have seen a bump in productivity with Kyle Korver gone and it wasn't happening until recently. Maybe now he gets it going, so go ahead and pick him up after his breakout 2015-16 season. Jan 16 - 4:38 PM

Kent Bazemore scored a team-high 24 points in 28 minutes during Sunday's home win, making 8-of-13 FGs and 4-of-5 FTs with two rebounds, two steals and one assist.

Four of Bazemore's makes came from downtown and this is the first time he's scored 20 points since Nov. 30, so it was a welcome if wholly unexpected outburst. His shot has been awful all season, at a career-low 36.5 percent, and we'll need to see him sustain some efficiency before fully buying in. That said, Bazemore has enough proven upside to be worth a look if you need a swingman.
Jan 15 - 7:53 PM

Kent Bazemore was held to six points on 1-of-7 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Nets with three boards and two steals in 22 minutes.

His only field goal of the night was a wide-open layup in the fourth quarter. Bazemore is in a brutal slump right now with a combined 14 points on 23.5 percent shooting over his last three games. We can't defend his awful play anymore and he looks like a drop candidate in standard leagues. Also, Taurean Prince and Tim Hardaway Jr. are coming for his minutes. We'll let you know when Bazemore heats back up.
Jan 10 - 10:22 PM

Kent Bazemore scored just two points in 21 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday, adding three rebounds and one assist.

Yuck. The Hawks are going to be selling off all sorts of assets, but they just signed Bazemore to a deal this past summer. As bad as he's been -- he's been really bad -- Bazemore should be owned in all leagues because he should become a huge part of the offense later this season.
Jan 5 - 11:33 PM

Kent Bazemore gained some traction on Wednesday, making 6-of-9 field goals with three 3-pointers for 17 points in 27 minutes.

Bazemore added four assists and two steals but this is too little, too late for many of his former owners. He has enough upside to warrant a pickup if you're in need of a swingman, but we'd like to see him sustain the efficient offense before fully buying-in.
Jan 4 - 10:07 PM

Kent Bazemore struggled from the field again on Sunday, making 3-of-10 shots for eight points, two rebounds and two steals in just 19 minutes.

Bazemore simply can't find a rhythm this year, and his 36.6 percent shooting is the lowest of his five-year career. He shot 44.1 percent last season, including 35.7 percent from deep, so he's bound to turn things around eventually. Tonight's low playing time was a result of Tim Hardaway Jr. going nuts off the bench, but we can't blame frustrated owners for cutting him loose.
Jan 1 - 10:13 PM

Kent Bazemore hit just 2-of-9 shots for five points on Friday, but also had two rebounds, four assists and two steals in 31 minutes.

We were hoping for a lot more from Baze with Kyle Korver (illness), Tim Hardaway Jr. (groin) and Dwight Howard (back) all in street clothes, but this just wasn't his night. He's been up and down like a yo-yo all season long and is struggling right now, scoring just nine points on Wednesday. He'll heat up again soon, but he's been a pretty frustrating player to own this season.

Kent Bazemore scored nine points with four rebounds, one assist, four blocks and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes against the Wolves on Wednesday.

He picked up some extra run at the point tonight with Malcolm Delaney either hurting or slumping. Plus, Tim Hardaway Jr. (groin) also suffered an injury tonight. Bazemore is starting to come to life with three productive games in a row, averaging 12.7 points, 4.3 boards, 4.0 assists, 0.7 steals, 2.0 blocks and 0.7 treys. He should be owned in all standard leagues again.

Kent Bazemore moved back into the starting lineup on Monday and hit 4-of-9 shots for 12 points, five rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block in 40 minutes in a 110-108 win over the Thunder.

Bazemore hit a big shot late that looked like a 3-pointer, but it was ruled a 2-pointer in the end. He didn't score at will tonight, but the minutes are encouraging, along with the fact he reclaimed his starting job for the Hawks. If he was dumped in your league when he hurt his knee, think about picking him up.

Kent Bazemore will move back into the starting lineup for Monday's game vs. the Thunder.

Tim Hardaway Jr. will likely move back to the bench, but we'll confirm that once we know for sure. Bazemore may still have minute restrictions Monday, but his workload has increased in all three games since returning from his knee injury. "It’s getting better," Bazemore said of his knee. "I’m moving a lot better out there, trusting it a lot more." He scored 17 points with four rebounds, five assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday and appears to be trending up again.

Kent Bazemore scored 17 points with four rebounds, five assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes off the bench against the Hornets on Saturday.

He's looked really bad in his two previous games since returning from his knee injury, making just 5-of-14 from the field. Bazemore has been a letdown all season, but maybe he can perform off the bench with more ball-handling responsibility -- he was a point guard earlier in his career. Based on his output last season, it's not a bad idea to add him to see if he can keep it going.

Kent Bazemore will still have his right knee monitored.

He played 15 minutes in his return on Tuesday, but he showed some rust with just five points. The Hawks will likely continue to limit Bazemore and he said there will be restrictions "here and there." Bazemore has been really bad this year, so he's more of a 12-team player to own right now. Thabo Sefolosha and Tim Hardaway Jr. will lose some run once Bazemore gets let loose.
Wed, Dec 14, 2016 04:19:00 PM

Kent Bazemore returned from his knee injury on Tuesday and had five points on 2-of-9 shooting in 15 minutes off the bench.

The Hawks are still reeling and are looking to right the ship, so Bazemore came off the bench tonight behind Tim Hardaway Jr. We're guessing Baze will reclaim his starting job in the near future when he's fully healthy, but he's been a model of inconsistency all season long.

If Kent Bazemore (knee) plays vs. the Magic on Tuesday, he will come off the bench in an effort to limit his minutes.

Bazemore has missed the past two games but he's considered probable for tonight's game. Most fantasy owners should leave him inactive until he's logging his typical 26-28 minutes per game. It wouldn't hurt if he started knocking down shots, either, as he's made just 35.8 percent of his attempts this season.

Coach Mike Budenholzer said Kent Bazemore (knee) is probable to play against the Magic on Tuesday.

Bazemore had missed each of the Hawks last two games. Baze has gotten off to a disappointing start this season. Compared to last season, he is averaging fewer points and rebounds. He is shooting a career-low 35.8 percent from the floor and just 29.2 percent from downtown. It will be interesting to see if he can snap out of his slump after sitting out a couple of games. When Bazemore returns to the lineup, Tim Hardaway Jr. will get bumped back to the bench.
