Kent Bazemore turned in a fantasy gem in a 117-110 win over the Magic on Saturday, scoring 19 points with six rebounds, seven assists, three steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes.
He was 7-of-12 from the field and made both free throws to make this an eight-category line. Bazemore was frustrating to own last year, but he really has turned it around with more consistency and his 1.9 steals per game certainly helps. He has a great chance to hang around mid-round value, especially if he can up his subpar 39.1 percent from the field. Dec 10 - 2:11 AM

Date:

Kent Bazemore scored three points during a 112-78 loss to the Raptors on Saturday, adding four rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes.

It's one of his patented duds. Luckily for his fantasy owners, the Baze Daze hasn't really been prolonged because he still hasn't had consecutive games in single digits for scoring this season. He should be owned in standard leagues and just throw this game out. The Hawks have been playing close games for the most part, despite their 4-16 record.
Nov 25 - 9:56 PM

Kent Bazemore hit just 2-of-13 shots and a 3-pointer for five points, five rebounds, a steal and two blocks in Monday's loss to the Spurs.

Bazemore has a tendency to disappear at times, but has scored in double digits in six of his previous nine games. He just couldn't get his shot to fall tonight, so just chalk it up as a bad night.
Nov 21 - 12:06 AM

Kent Bazemore had 22 points, four rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three 3-pointers on 7-of-15 shooting in 30 minutes of Monday's loss to the Pelicans.

The 22 points tied his season high and he's actually hit that number in two of his last three games. Bazemore took a hard fall on his left arm and elbow late in the game but was able to stay in and shoot free throws, meaning he should be fine. He's hot right now, averaging 15.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.2 steals and 2.0 3-pointers over his last five games, so make sure he's in your lineup whenever possible right now. This could be the season Bazemore lives up to the hype.
Nov 13 - 10:29 PM

Kent Bazemore scored 22 points with five rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Pistons on Friday.

He's been used more as a stretch four because the Hawks are really shorthanded at their big spots. Bazemore had 17 boards in his previous two games combined and his steals numbers are on the rise with 2.2 per game over his last five. He's also running some two-man plays with the bigs, so things are looking up for Bazemore. He should be owned in standard leagues.
Nov 10 - 9:27 PM

Kent Bazemore scored 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting (4-of-8 from the stripe) Sunday, to go with nine boards, seven assists, two 3-pointers, one steal, two blocks and one turnover in 35 minutes.

Bazemore’s lame shooting (36.9 percent on the season) and turnover issues (2.5) have limited him to late-round status on the year, but he’s still been getting it done with averages of 13.2 points, 3.7 assists and 1.9 steals a night. He’s also connecting on just 26.7 percent of his 3-point attempts, but that’s not a trend that should hold for a guy who knocked down 34.6 percent of his triples last season. If he can cut down on the turnovers and increase his percentages, he could be top-75.
Nov 5 - 6:07 PM

Kent Bazemore scored a team-high 18 points with four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes against the Rockets during a 119-104 loss on Friday.

The score is a little misleading because the Rockets took an 18-point lead into the locker room at half. Bazemore still can't find his shot, but at least he's sitting pretty at 2.0 steals per game while flirting with a 13/4/4 line in 29 minutes per game. He's still a hold in 12-team leagues.
Nov 4 - 1:09 AM

Kent Bazemore started slow on Sunday, finishing 2-of-9 from the field and 10-of-10 from the line for 15 points, six assists, two rebounds, two steals and four turnovers in 32 minutes.

The 28-year-old swingman is shooting below 38 percent on the season, yet he's clinging to late-round value on the strength of 12.8 points, 1.0 threes, 3.8 boards, 3.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.7 blocks. That across-the-board production is why you drafted him, and the career 42.2 percent shooter will eventually start knocking down shots. Hang in there.
Oct 29 - 6:19 PM

Kent Bazemore had 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, three steals, a block and two 3-pointers in Thursday's loss to the Bulls.

Bazemore hit just 7-of-19 shots but is starting to roll, scoring in double figures in four straight games. If he was dropped in your league after his slow start, which is a possibility, he's worth owning in 12-team leagues. However, he's also stepping up in the absence of Dennis Schroder, who is nursing an ankle injury.
Oct 26 - 10:34 PM

Kent Bazemore scored a season-high 20 points with four rebounds, four assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Heat on Monday.

He got off to a bad start on Sunday, but he's been fairly locked in for his last six quarters. Bazemore hasn't really been a big minute guy for most of his career, and fell between 26-29 minutes per game for each of his full months last season. That figures to be a good guess where he'll be this year, but he should be able to score in the teens and do enough on the stat sheet to be owned in standard leagues.
Oct 23 - 10:01 PM

Kent Bazemore went 4-of-12 from the field and 8-of-8 from the line during Sunday's loss to the Nets, on his way to 16 points, three boards, three assists, one block and five turnovers.

The shooting wasn't great, but Bazemore managed to round out his stat line with the dimes and block, and owners can expect a more efficient outing on Monday in Miami. Dennis Schroder going down with an ankle injury could force Bazemore into more of a playmaking role on the offensive end, so he could see a slight uptick in dimes in Schroder needs to miss time.
Oct 22 - 6:19 PM

Kent Bazemore scored 11 points with two assists, one rebound, three steals and a triple in 26 minutes against the Hornets on Friday.

He also shot the ball well, hitting 5-of-9 from the field. While he only played 26 minutes, the blowout was likely a factor. With DeAndre Bembry (wrist fracture) out for a while, both Bazemore and Taurean Prince are going to be asked to play heavy minutes on the wings. Bazemore was quiet in the opener with seven points, but he'll be a nice source of money stats and will be worth owning if he can keep shooting it efficiently.
Oct 20 - 9:30 PM

Kent Bazemore scored 20 points with six rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Mavs on Thursday.

The Hawks really leaned on him in this game and that'll continue again in the regular season. Bazemore did not play well in the beginning of the year, but post-break he was solid with averages of 11.4 points, 3.1 boards, 1.9 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.4 treys on 44.1 percent from the field. He should absolutely be able to score in the teens and is well worth a pick in the later rounds of all drafts.
Oct 12 - 9:48 PM

Kent Bazemore will not play against the Pistons on Friday.

He looked good on Wednesday with seven points, two boards, one assist, one steal and five turnovers. Bazemore has very little competition for minutes, so he has a great chance to bounce back as the team's No. 2 scorer.
Oct 6 - 5:52 PM

Kent Bazemore said he will focus on improving his jumper and ball handling skills this offseason.

Bazemore saw a slight regression during his second year in Atlanta after signing a four-year deal with them worth $70 million during the 2016 offseason, contributing averages of 11.0 points, 3.2 boards, 2.4 dimes, 1.2 steals, 1.3 triples and 1.7 turnovers per game on 40.9 percent shooting, which was only good enough for 13th round value in standard 9-cat leagues. He won't be worth much more than a last-round flier in next year's drafts.
