DeQuan Jones started at shooting guard for the Magic on Wednesday and had 13 points, two rebounds, two assists, a steal and two blocks on 6-of-9 shooting.

So much for Beno Udrih and E'Twaun Moore, eh? Udrih played just 18 minutes for nine points, five assists and a 3-pointer, while Moore got 12 minutes for three points and two assists. The Magic are more interested in taking a look at the guys who don't get much playing time than anything else, and it's possible Jones gets some nice burn to finish up the season. But if you own Udrih or Moore, this looks like a bad timeshare at best, meaning it might be time to move on.

DeQuan Jones will start at shooting guard against the Bobcats on Wednesday, according to Brian K. Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel.

The last time we blurbed about Jones was Feb. 6, which tells you his relevancy this season. Jones replaces E'Twaun Moore, who had been in and out of the starting lineup this season at shooting guard and point guard. According to Fox Sports Florida, it will be the Magic's 24th different starting lineup this season. With the playoffs very far out of reach, the Magic are trying to assess their young talent before the end of the season and Jones' spot start seems to fit that M.O. He could have value in deeper leagues if he sticks in the starting lineup but we're skeptical for the time being.

DeQuan Jones (foot, ankle) was listed as active Wednesday against the Clippers.

Jones participated in pregame warmups, but it remains to be seen how much he will play, if at all. He still doesn't have much value for fantasy owners when healthy.

Updating a previous report, DeQuan Jones (sore foot) will not play on Monday.

This won't impact fantasy leagues but it's still an unfortunate turn of events, as Jones played 19 minutes on Saturday and could have been a substantial contributor with so many guys injured for the Magic.

DeQuan Jones had season highs with 11 points and 26 minutes against the Nuggets on Wednesday, adding five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

He shot 5-of-7 from the field and his 2013 has been eye-catching, shooting 56 percent from the field. Jones is on the upswing in deeper leagues, but standard owners shouldn't pay much attention to him just yet.

Jones was coming off a groin injury and got the start with J.J. Redick out with the flu. Jones does not have fantasy value in the vast majority of leagues.

DeQuan Jones will not play on Tuesday, as Magic officials don't want to aggravate his strained groin.

With Hedo Turkoglu (broken hand) sidelined, Jones is missing out on a major opportunity to earn extra minutes. The good news is fellow rookie Moe Harkless has failed to take advantage of added playing time thus far, and Jones could still have a chance to impress when he's healthy. He's worth keeping an eye on in deep leagues.

DeQuan Jones (strained groin) will not play on Sunday.

Jones originally hurt himself in the final game of Orlando's preseason, and he may need to sit out a few more games to finally put the injury behind him. Keep an eye on backup SF Mo Harkless, who is averaging 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks through two games.

Magic rookie DeQuan Jones started at SF vs. Phoenix on Sunday, but finished with just two points in 16 minutes.

As expected, it was Arron Afflalo (22 points) and J.J. Redick (24 points) who picked up most of the slack with Hedo Turkoglu (broken hand) unavailable.

Jones is an undrafted rookie, thus making him a complete unknown. We'll let you know how he looks tonight, but it's hard to imagine him having much fantasy value, unless you're in a very deep league.

Jones is listed as day-to-day with his abdominal injury, so this shouldn't be a surprise. He's not a fantasy option in any format.
