Victor Oladipo played 20 minutes and hit 3-of-8 shots for eight points, four rebounds, four assists, a steal and three turnovers.
We're expecting huge things from Dipo this season and while tonight's line is a little concerning, there's nothing to stop him from getting big minutes and usage for the Thunder this season. Stay the course with him. Oct 18 - 11:16 PM

Victor Oladipo scored 10 points in 30 minutes against Barcelona on Wednesday, adding three rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

He's been a great fit next to Russell Westbrook and coach Billy Donovan has used Oladipo at three positions. Oladipo had arguably the best block this preseason on a Barcelona big man trying to get a shot at the rim (video in link below). He's going to get big minutes as the No. 2 scoring option with his across-the-board production, so he makes sense at the tail end of the second round of a standard draft.
Oct 5 - 5:15 PM

Victor Oladipo was a one-man wrecking crew during a 142-137 loss to Real Madrid on Monday, scoring 34 points with two rebounds, five assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

He ran a lot of point guard with the second unit while Russell Westbrook was on the bench. Oladipo ran some point with the Magic last season, and he could be counted on to do so again as the starting shooting guard and Cameron Payne (foot) on the shelf. In his last 82 starts in the regular season, Oladipo averaged 18.3 points, five boards, four dimes, 1.8 steals and 1.5 treys. He could take another leap forward as an early-round pick.
Oct 3 - 5:40 PM

Victor Oladipo said that he's more than just a "3-and-D" wing.

"I don't just want to be a three-point shooter. I don't just want to be a defensive stopper," Oladipo said. "I want to be one of the best players in this league, and in order to do that, you have to affect the game on both ends and do multiple things." The minutes will be there for Oladipo in OKC, so despite playing next to a usage rate monster in Russell Westbrook, we're expecting a career year from the fourth-year SG. Reaching for him in the second round is fair game after he put up averages of 19.4 points, 5.3 boards, 3.7 assists, 2.2 steals, 1.1 blocks and 1.4 triples per game after the break last season.

Sam Presti stated during Wednesday's presser that he believes the fans in Oklahoma City will take to Victor Oladipo "very quickly" and "very kindly."

The Thunder may have lost Kevin Durant this offseason, but that loss will open up a ton of opportunity for the 24-year-old Oladipo. Through 24 games after the break last year, Oladipo produced top-10 value in standard 9-cat leagues behind averages of 19.4 points, 5.3 boards, 3.7 assists, 2.2 steals, 1.1 blocks and 1.4 triples per game on 47.4 percent shooting while posting a usage rate of 22.6. There's no way he slips out of the second-round on draft day.
Sep 21 - 1:30 PM

Victor Oladipo is "working on a little bit of everything" this offseason.

"I’m always trying to add little things to my game and improve my repertoire," he said. Oladipo is set to be fully unleashed alongside Russell Westbrook in OKC's backcourt, and there's no reason he should last beyond the second round in standard formats. "I feel like you're going to see a lot more from me [in Oklahoma City]. I don't think I've even scratched the surface of how good I can really be."
Sep 3 - 4:33 PM

Victor Oladipo has been training with Russell Westbrook in Los Angeles.

It sounds like OKC's new dynamic duo have already been working on their chemistry, and the backcourt combination should be one of the most exciting to watch in the league. Both guys are set up to have absolutely monstrous seasons as the obvious offensive focal points on a re-made Thunder roster.
Aug 6 - 2:33 PM

Victor Oladipo is reportedly seeking a max extension from the Thunder.

Why wouldn't he? The No. 2 overall pick of the 2013 NBA draft has made significant improvements to his game each year in the league, and he finished as a top-10 player in standard 9-cat leagues after the All-Star break this past season. However, OKC may be leery to hand out Oladipo the full max as it would impact their salary cap situation during the 2017 offseason, an offseason in which Russell Westbrook will become an unrestricted free agent. The deadline for an extension is Oct. 31.

Victor Oladipo implied that he's prepared to take his game to the next level with the Thunder.

"I feel like you’re going to see a lot more from me; I don’t think I’ve even scratched the surface of how good I really can be," Oladipo said. "I’m getting better every day and I’m looking forward to [showing] it. I can still grow way, way more." Without Kevin Durant in the picture, the opportunity for Oladipo to show out alongside Russell Westbrook is certainly there. We wouldn't be afraid to "reach" for him in upcoming fantasy drafts.
Jul 25 - 11:20 AM

Victor Oladipo said that he's "dreamed" about playing on the stage he'll have with the Thunder.

"I’ve dreamed about that stage, you know?" he said. "Dreamed about the opportunity to be on that type of stage and have that opportunity to compete for a championship, and now I have that opportunity. So I’ve got to take full advantage of it." We can't wait to see what a backcourt of Oladipo and Russell Westbrook is capable of doing to the rest of the NBA.
Jul 4 - 8:47 AM

Victor Oladipo said it's going to be "fun to watch" him and Russell Westbrook share a backcourt.

Yes, yes it will. Oladipo's fantasy value is going to be determined by what Kevin Durant decides to do as an unrestricted free agent, but if KD decides to leave OKC, Oladipo will immediately become the No. 2 option in OKC's offense. However, if Durant elects to remain with the Thunder, Dipo will likely be more of a mid-round kind of player.
Jul 3 - 2:37 PM

Victor Oladipo was traded to the Thunder on Thursday.

Wow. The Thunder got themselves a terrific shooting guard with play-making ability. If the team does keep Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, Oladipo is going to have a tough time matching his statistical output from last year. He will get big minutes on his new team and would be a mid-round target in standard leagues. This opens up minutes for Mario Hezonja and makes Dion Waiters expendable, as well.
Jun 23 - 8:53 PM

Magic head coach Frank Vogel called Victor Oladipo a special talent.

Vogel hasn't had a chance to coach Oladipo yet, but is familiar with the 24-year-old from his time as the Pacers head coach. "I think Victor Oladipo is a special, special talent," Vogel said. Oladipo averaged 16.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 1.4 three-pointers in 2015-16 and will be an elite fantasy option in 2016-17 if Vogel can help him take the next step.
May 24 - 10:57 AM

Trail Blazers assistant coach David Vanterpool interviewed for Orlando's vacant head coaching position on Wednesday.

Vanterpool has interviewed for head coaching jobs before but he's never made the leap, and Orlando has also discussed their position with Frank Vogel and current assistant Adrian Griffin. GM Rob Hennigan said recently that "stability is very important," seemingly giving Griffin an advantage, but we shouldn't have to wait long for Orlando's final decision.
May 18 - 10:26 PM

Victor Oladipo hasn't yet made a decision on whether he'll play for Nigeria in the Olympics.

Oladipo didn't have a bad season with injury at 72 games, so he doesn't likely need any offseason procedures. Going over the season, he had two concussions (three games in April, two games in November), a sprained wrist (two games), a back contusion (one game) and a right knee sprain (two games). He should be a fantasy stud next season.
