Victor Oladipo has dropped 10 pounds in the last three weeks during his offseason training.
Muscle Watch! In the Instagram post, Oladipo looks a little more toned and he also said he's going to continue his offseason training to get in better shape. Due to Russell Westbrook shattering the record for usage rate and Oladipo underperforming, he couldn't build off his strong finish in his Magic career. He'll be sliding into the middle rounds this year, but there is still plenty of upside, especially with VO expected to play more point guard. Jun 9 - 5:31 PM

Victor Oladipo could play more point guard next season according to Thunder GM Sam Presti.

Dipo only logged two percent of his minutes at point this season, but he said he's ready for the challenge. "I like handling the ball. I like making decisions, and I know I can," Oladipo said. "Now it's a matter of doing it on a consistent basis." Dipo didn't live up to expectations this season and took a backseat on offense next to usage rate monster Russell Westbrook, but he also battled through a few nagging injuries to his wrist, knee and back. He will be a bounce-back candidate in 2017-18 and said he's planning a "very relentless summer" developing his game.

Victor Oladipo scored 10 points on 4-of-17 shooting in Tuesday's Game 5 loss to the Rockets, adding six rebounds, one steal and two triples in 34 minutes.

Coach Billy Donovan tweaked his rotation so that Oladipo would run the point for the second unit, but he didn't play well in that role and the Rockets outscored the Thunder by 18 points during Russell Westbrook's six minutes on the bench. Oladipo was flying off draft boards in the second and third rounds of a lot of fantasy drafts this season, but only returned eighth-round value in standard leagues with averages of 15.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.8 triples. Playing next to a usage rate monster in Westbrook certainly didn't help things and Dipo battled through a couple nagging injuries, but the 24-year-old SG will look to bounce back in 2017-18.
Apr 25 - 11:29 PM

Victor Oladipo scored 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting during Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Rockets, adding one 3-pointer, four boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 39 minutes.

After struggling through the first two games, Dipo has stepped it up over the past two, pumping out averages of 13.5 points, 5.0 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.0 block and just 0.5 turnovers per game on 66.7 percent shooting. He'll need to keep the efficient trend going for the Thunder to have any chance of sending this series back to OKC for a Game 6.
Apr 23 - 7:42 PM

Victor Oladipo made 5-of-8 from the field for 12 points with six rebounds, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Rockets on Friday.

That's a big improvement following his 1-of-13 from deep in his first two games of the postseason. Oladipo's usage was still way down in this game and it's been way down all year despite a mini-breakout year in 2015-16 with the Magic. He's a bit of an afterthought in this offense and really hasn't fit in all year.
Apr 22 - 12:38 AM

The Thunder are hoping Victor Oladipo can break out of his shooting slump in Game 3 Friday night in OKC.

Oladipo has struggled mightily in the series' first two games. He is just 5-of-26 (19.2 percent) from the field, including 1-of-13 (6.5 percent) from 3-point territory, over Games 1 and 2 vs. Houston. Coach Billy Donovan stated that despite his offensive struggles, Oladipo has been solid overall. "Victor's not a one-dimensional player — he can do a lot of different things," Donovan said. Nonetheless, OKC will need more out of their second-leading scorer if they want to advance past the Rockets.

Apr 21 - 1:49 PM

Victor Oladipo, who shot just 1-of-12 from the field in Game 1, finished Wednesday's 115-111 loss with 11 points on 4-of-14 shooting, nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 41 minutes.

Oladipo had a disastrous playoff debut with the Thunder, and his team will need more from him to avoid a first-round loss to the No. 3 seed Rockets. He was 1-of-7 from deep tonight and OKC as a team went 7-of-30 beyond the arc (23.3 percent), which negated their advantage in rebounds (48-37).
Apr 19 - 10:55 PM

Victor Oladipo made 1-of-12 field goals for six points (0-of-6 from deep) with four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal during Sunday's series-opening loss to the Rockets.

The effort was there for Oladipo but he obviously wasn't in a comfort-zone offensively, which is something that must happen to take pressure off Russell Westbrook as the overclocked engine of the offense. He gets two days off and should fare much better on Wednesday.
Apr 17 - 12:19 AM

Victor Oladipo scored eight points on 2-of-7 shooting vs. the Bucks on Tuesday.

This game got out of hand in a hurry and Dipo only logged 25 minutes in the blowout win, adding four assists, two rebounds, one steal and one triple. While this was a disappointing night for Dipo's owners, the good news is that his knee issue doesn't appear to be a concern -- he was spotted walking with a slight limp on Sunday after banging knees with a Hornets' player.
Apr 5 - 12:08 AM

Victor Oladipo scored 19 points on 6-of-14 shooting Sunday, to go with three boards, six assists, two 3-pointers one steal and four turnovers in 33 minutes.

Oladipo was spotted walking with a slight limp after the game after banging knees with a Hornets' player during the fourth quarter, but he said he was "OK" during his post-game interview. He should be fine, but just to be safe, we'll throw him on the injury report and consider him questionable for Tuesday's game against the Bucks.
Apr 2 - 6:43 PM

Victor Oladipo squared off with his former team on Wednesday, going just 5-of-17 from the field for 13 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in a win at Orlando.

Oladipo didn't show much emotion when asked about playing the Magic. "It's another road game for us," he said. "The ups and downs [in Orlando], changing positions, all in the long run benefited me … I have no regrets. I'm thankful for those three years." He's probably also thankful to be playing on a team bound for the postseason, while the Magic are scuffling along with a 27-48 record.
Mar 29 - 10:43 PM

Victor Oladipo scored 15 points on 6-of-15 shooting vs. the Mavericks on Monday.

It's not always easy for Dipo to produce when Russell Westbrook is boasting a 40.7 usage rate, but he's quietly averaging 17.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.6 3-pointers since the All-Star break. Oladipo grabbed nine rebounds with two assists, one steal, one block and three triples in 37 minutes, and his owners should be in great shape since the Thunder play again on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Mar 27 - 11:26 PM

Victor Oladipo made 9-of-15 from the field for 23 points with five rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers against the Raptors on Thursday.

He has been extremely efficient since his return, posting shooting averages of 56.5 percent from the field, 72.7 percent from three and 80.0 percent from the line -- good for a 69.5 true shooting percentage. Oladipo has been a second-round player in that five-game sample with counting-stat averages of 20.4 points, 3.8 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.2 treys. He looks ready for a big finish after a rough start to his OKC career.
Mar 16 - 10:16 PM

Victor Oladipo scored 21 points with three 3-pointers in Tuesday's easy win over the Nets.

He logged 32 minutes and shot an efficient 9-of-15 from the field, adding three rebounds, four steals and two turnovers. Dipo recently said that the sprained wrist he had back in December didn't completely heal until he took six games off due to a back injury in early March, so that explains why he's finally living up to his ADP. Over his last four games, Dipo is averaging 19.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 3.3 triples.
Mar 14 - 11:07 PM

Victor Oladipo said that the six games he took off for his back issue also helped him recover from his wrist injury.

"[The rest] was amazing for my wrist, actually," Oladipo said. "I'm not one to complain. It wasn't 100 percent, but that rest kind of helped it out a little bit. It's a lot better now." Oladipo missed nine games in December after spraining his right wrist, but now that he's nearly 100 percent, that likely explains why he's shooting a blistering 55.3 percent from the field over his last three games with 10 3-pointers in that span. He could flirt with early-round value the rest of the way if he keeps it up, but unfortunately for fantasy owners, the Thunder only have three games this week and three games next week.
