Trey Burke has recently worked out for the Bucks and Timberwolves.
Burke was rumored to be a candidate for a roster spot with the Knicks, but New York signed Jarrett Jack to a deal this week, eliminating NYC as a potential landing spot. Burke will likely have to settle for a non-guaranteed contract and be forced to earn his way onto an opening-night roster with a strong training camp and preseason. Sep 15 - 1:30 PM

According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the Knicks may consider signing free agent Trey Burke.

The Knicks currently have 14 players with guareented contracts for next season. The only experienced point guard on the roster is Ramon Sessions. Ron Baker is more of a combo-guard and has just one NBA season under his belt. Frank Ntilikina is a 19-year old rookie that saw only limited minutes in France last season. Using their final roster spot to improve depth at the PG position would make sense. Jarrett Jack is another veteran point guard New York is reportedly considering.

Free agent G Trey Burke was one of a half-dozen players who worked out for the Timberwolves on Wednesday, according to Michael Scotto.

Minnesota took a look at a variety of guys including Thomas Robinson, Anthony Morrow, Alan Anderson, Perry Jones and Isaiah Canaan. The Wizards declined Burke's qualifying offer this summer and even if he does earn a guaranteed deal he's a dubious fantasy option. The former lottery pick has averaged 10.6 points on 39.0 percent shooting in his four-year NBA career.

Washington has decided not to offer Trey Burke a qualifying offer, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent.

This was a predictable move after Burke fell out of the rotation last season, and in mid-May he said, "I don’t plan on my role being the same next year." The Wizards landed Tim Frazier for a second-round pick on Tuesday, solidifying their backup PG spot, so there was no doubt they'd pass on Burke. No teams have been tied to him yet, but no matter where he lands he's a non-factor in fantasy leagues.

Trey Burke is expected to move on from the Wizards this summer.

"I don’t plan on my role being the same next year," Burke said. "My agency is working very hard for me right now. I know what type of player I can be and I know what type of player I want to be. That’s not my plan." He was leapfrogged by Brandon Jennings late in the year and completely fell out of the rotation, so it's not a surprise that he's ready to move on. Still only 24 years old, Burke has struggled on both ends of the floor early in his NBA career and averaged just 5.0 points and 1.8 assists on 45.5 percent shooting this season. At best, Burke will land a backup job somewhere this summer.

Trey Burke went off for 27 points in 31 minutes vs. Miami on Wednesday, making 10-of-13 shots with five 3-pointers, four assists, one steal and two turnovers.

It was quite the counterpoint to starter Brandon Jennings' 1-of-9 shooting tonight, as both guys saw their roles expand with John Wall resting. It will be interesting to see if this earns Burke a shot at backup PG duties, ahead of Jennings, but for now we assume Jennings is still the guy.

Trey Burke picked up another DNP-CD on Wednesday.

Burke dealt with an illness last week but he's had ample time to recover, and he's simply not part of the rotation.

Trey Burke (illness) is feeling better and will be available to play Friday night vs. Chicago.

Minimal fantasy impact here, as Burke is no longer a part of the Wizards rotation since Washington traded for Brandon Jennings. Leave Burke on waivers.

Trey Burke (illness) will not play Friday vs. the Bulls.

Even when healthy, Burke is no longer a part of the Wizards rotation now that Brandon Jennings is in the mix. Burke has played a total of three minutes the entire month of March.

Trey Burke was a DNP-CD on Sunday.

Burke missed Wednesday's game for personal reasons, but he's been available to play since Friday. His inactivity is due to the arrival of Brandon Jennings, and it would take a few injuries for Burke to emerge as a fantasy factor.

Trey Burke is available to play on Friday.

He's likely out of the rotation with Brandon Jennings ready to roll tonight. Burke may only see minutes in garbage time going forward.

Trey Burke (personal) will not play Wednesday vs. the Raptors.

It's unclear exactly what Burke is dealing with, but his absence from the roster won't have any major impact in fantasy hoops. Tomas Satoransky could see a minor bump in minutes tonight, but that's about it.

The Wizards are reportedly shopping Trey Burke.

Washington is asking for a second-round pick, but even that sounds ambitious. Burke is shooting 38.9 percent from the field in his career and has struggled on both sides of the court. If he's moved and the Wizards don't get a PG in return, Tomas Satoransky will get a bump.

Trey Burke (elbow) did not practice on Tuesday but is expected to play Thursday vs. the Pacers.

Minimal fantasy impact here, as Burke is averaging just 4.5 points and 2.6 assists in 12.8 minutes since the start of January. Burke would need an injury to John Wall to have a crack at fantasy relevance.

Trey Burke - G -

Trey Burke got loose for a career-high 27 points with two rebounds, two assists, two steals and five 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

It was a good night for the Michigan Wolverines with Caris LeVert also having his best game of the season. The Nets perimeter D is horrible, so John Wall was able to find Trey Burke a ton for his open threes. Burke never really panned out as a point guard, so maybe a shift to straight SG minutes could be good for him. Brad Beal (ankle) should be back next week, so leave Burke on the wire.
