Trey Burke scored 12 points with two rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 13 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.
It's going to be awfully messy at point guard with Emmanuel Mudiay in the mix now. Burke needs a lot of things to go right and his upside isn't the greatest. Feb 8 - 10:43 PM

Trey Burke played 23 minutes vs. the Bucks on Tuesday with nine points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one triple.

He played more minutes than Jarrett Jack (17) and Frank Ntilikina (10) tonight, but all of these guys have been all over the place. Kristaps Porzingis tore his ACL tonight which ends New York's playoff hopes, so Burke and Ntilikina could see more playing time at Jack's expense. Just keep an eye on them from the wire.

Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek liked what he saw from Trey Burke on Sunday vs. Atlanta.

"He was able to come off those picks and come up with jump shots,’’ Hornacek said. "His defense is pretty good. He stepped up and played pretty well.’’ Frank Ntilikina (sore right knee) left the game after just seven minutes and his status is up in the air for Tuesday's game vs. the Bucks, so Burke could be looking at a nice bump. In 20 minutes vs. Atlanta, he scored 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting with two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.
Feb 5 - 9:40 AM

Trey Burke logged 20 minutes off the bench on Sunday, scoring 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting with two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Burke didn't play on Friday vs. the Bucks, but his role expanded with Frank Ntilikina (sore right knee) leaving early today and sitting out the second half. Burke would only be worth a glance for streaming/DFS value if Ntilikina misses time, but he's not a great pickup with the trade deadline generating new targets on a daily basis.
Feb 4 - 4:07 PM

Coach Jeff Hornacek said that he will need to "find time" for Trey Burke if Burke continues to play well.

Burke has scored a total of 36 points in back-to-back games for New York. He's the first Knicks point guard to score at least 18 points in consecutive games off the bench since Nate Robinson in 2009. "It’s a game-to-game situation," Hornacek said of his point guards on Friday. "They all lend something different." Interestingly, Hornacek played Frank Ntilikina at shooting guard, alongside Burke, for a short stretch in Friday's win over Phoenix. He said it's something he would consider in the future as well.
Jan 27 - 11:15 AM

Trey Burke scored 18 points with one rebound, three assists and two 3-pointers in just 18 minutes against the Suns on Friday.

Make it back-to-back games with 18 points with Burke also going 3-of-3 for strong games during his outings in the MST time zone. The Knicks are probably going to turn it over to Frank Ntilikina at some point, but he's not really giving them any reason to as Burke plays well in almost all of his chances. He's not a must-grab player in fantasy, but he has to be worth a look in leagues where point guards don't last on the waiver wire. Don't be surprised if he unseats Jarrett Jack to possibly boost his value, too.
Jan 27 - 1:45 AM

Trey Burke busted out for season-highs 18 points and 11 assists against the Nuggets on Thursday, adding two rebounds and no turnovers in 29 minutes.

The Knicks went with a lot of two-point guard lineups and it turns out Burke benefitted the most with Tim Hardaway Jr. not playing tonight. Burke only played nine minutes in the previous two games combined with garbage time being a factor on that, so it's still tough to totally buy this output. With THJ back in Phoenix, Burke will be a risky DFS play. He's only an add if you're desperate and this point guard situation is shaping up to be a mess.
Jan 25 - 11:23 PM

Tim Hardaway Jr. said Trey Burke is "definitely making the most of his opportunity right now."

"I can just read him on the floor anywhere, especially when he’s coming downhill,’’ Hardaway said of his chemistry with Burke. "Yeah, it was immediate. I kind of know his game so well. Even when I wasn’t playing with him the past couple of years, I definitely watched him in Utah, Washington." The Michigan alumni combined for 13 points in the fourth quarter vs. the Jazz on Friday, and Burke has now created another position battle in New York between himself, Jarrett Jack and Frank Ntilikina. We'll be watching the rotation closely.
Jan 21 - 10:42 AM

Trey Burke scored seven points with two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 15 minutes against the Jazz on Friday.

Revenge game? Maybe not, but Burke gave the Knicks some good minutes as he took time from Frank Ntilikina, and he even played down the stretch. This probably won't last long, so leave Burke unless you're truly desperate at point guard.
Jan 20 - 1:38 AM

Trey Burke made his first appearance for the Knicks, posting five points with two assists and a rebound in eight minutes off the bench Monday in Brooklyn.

Burke received a nice ovation from the Knicks crowd that made its way to the Barclays Center, acknowledging him for his first time in orange and blue. He'll be operating as the third-string point guard behind Jarrett Jack and Frank Ntilikina, so he should remain on the waiver wire in all but the very deepest of fantasy leagues.
Jan 15 - 5:52 PM

The Knicks have officially signed Trey Burke.

It's a minimum deal for the remainder of the season. Burke did have a lot of success in the G-League, but he's not on the fantasy radar and should be firmly behind Jarrett Jack and Frank Ntilikina.
Jan 14 - 1:03 PM

The Knicks will waive Ramon Sessions on Saturday to make room to sign Trey Burke, according to Ian Begley of ESPN.

Burke has appeared in 26 games for the Knicks G-League affiliate this season and is averaging 26.6 points, 5.3 assists and 2.7 3-pointers. However, he'll be the third-string point guard on the Knicks, behind Jarrett Jack and Frank Ntilikina. Burke can be left on waivers in standard fantasy leagues.
Jan 13 - 11:19 AM

The Knicks have reportedly engaged in serious talks with Trey Burke on a deal.

The club could come to terms with Burke on a deal by this weekend, and it'll be interesting to see who they cut in order to free up a roster spot. Ramon Sessions has fallen out of the rotation, so he could be an option. Burke isn't likely to have much value at all in New York.
Jan 8 - 4:49 PM

The Knicks are reportedly interested in calling up Trey Burke from the G-League.

The Knicks would have to clear a roster spot first, so Ramon Sessions would be the most likely to get the boot if this happens. Burke has been a bust at the NBA level so far, but has been making some noise in the G-League with 27.3 points, 5.4 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals. Fantasy owners can ignore this for now.
Jan 4 - 11:39 AM

The Knicks announced on Saturday that the team has waived Trey Burke, Nigel Hayes and Xavier Rathan-Mayes.

Burke was just signed on Wednesday and didn't appear in a preseason game for New York. He has the talent to stick in the league, but word is his attitude has turned off teammates and coaches at his previous stops. Burke will likely have to excel in the G-League to prove he still belongs in the NBA.
