Shabazz Muhammad looked good again on Wednesday, making 7-of-11 FGs and 4-of-4 FTs to finish with 20 points, seven rebounds, one assist and zero turnovers in 30 minutes.
Muhammad made two 3-pointers and he's simply on fire lately, scoring double-digit points in seven of his last nine games. In those contests, he's made a combined 52.6 percent FGs and 89.5 percent FTs, with 1.4 triples per game. Give him a look if you need offense, but don't expect much else -- in the same nine-game span, he added a mere 3.3 boards, 0.1 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.1 blocks. Jan 12 - 12:08 AM

Date:

Shabazz Muhammad scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting with two rebounds and one triple in 20 minutes against the Mavericks on Monday.

Muhammad has very little upside as he's basically just a pure scorer, but he's a candidate to receive more minutes if we learn that Zach LaVine (hip) will miss any time. For now, Muhammad belongs on the wire in most leagues.
Jan 9 - 11:47 PM

Shabazz Muhammad returned to action on Saturday with five points, three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes.

He was a game-time decision and was back to his normal role. Muhammad won't be getting many minutes while Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins are healthy.
Jan 7 - 11:25 PM

Shabazz Muhammad (illness) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Jazz.

Muhammad missed Friday's game due to the flu bug that is making it's way around the NBA. However, Nemanja Bjelica played only 11 minutes off the Wolves bench on Friday. Brandon Rush ended up scoring 10 points in 20 minutes.

Shabazz Muhammad (illness) will not play Friday against the Wizards.

The flu bug is all over the place. With 'Bazz out, the Wolves may lean more on Nemanja Bjelica as the back three or could add some players to their rotation to help out Andrew Wiggins.
Jan 6 - 6:12 PM

Shabazz Muhammad played 19 minutes and hit 3-of-6 shots and a 3-pointer for 10 points, five rebounds and a steal.

Muhammad has actually become a factor for the Wolves over the past few weeks and has scored in double digits in three straight games, as well as five of his last six. He's averaging 12.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 3-pointers on 47 percent shooting over his last five, but that's about it. If you're in a very deep league, that might be enough to put him on your roster, but we're thinking it would have to be a 16-team league, or larger.
Jan 3 - 9:53 PM

Shabazz Muhammad hit 5-of-11 shots for 12 points with six rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers in Sunday’s loss to Portland.

He followed up his season-high 22 points with a solid effort and has now scored in double figures in four of his last five games. Despite shooting the ball well in recent games, Muhammad does not offer much value for fantasy owners.
Jan 1 - 11:03 PM

Shabazz Muhammad scored a season-high 22 points in 18 minutes in a 116-99 win over the Bucks on Friday.

Even with Muhammad rolling, coach Tom Thibodeau stuck with his starters as they all played 34+ minutes in the win. Muhammad finished 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-5 from deep with one rebound, but fantasy owners can ignore this fluke while the starting five is healthy.

Shabazz Muhammad scored seven points on 3-of-10 from the field in 19 minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday, adding five rebounds, one 3-pointer and one turnover.

That's a lot of shots and the Wolves did not use their bench much with only Muhammad, Nemanja Bjelica and Kris Dunn getting game action. Muhammad was blocked more times by Kyle Korver in the first half tonight (three) than he has blocked anyone all season (two). He doesn't have much value.
Wed, Dec 21, 2016 10:28:00 PM

Shabazz Muhummad scored 12 points with six rebounds, one assist and no turnovers in 25 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday.

He's starting to pick it up with double-digit points in three of his last four. Muhammad still only has a grand total of seven assists, one block and four steals in his 275 minutes this season. He's only good for points.
Sat, Dec 3, 2016 10:32:00 PM

Shabazz Muhammad returned from a knee injury and hit both of his shots for four points, two rebounds, one assist and a steal on Saturday.

He'd missed three straight games and only played 18 minutes tonight. He's become an afterthought in the Wolves' rotation and belongs on the waiver wire right now.
Sat, Nov 19, 2016 11:37:00 PM

Shabazz Muhammad (knee) is available to play against the Grizzlies.

It'll be interesting to see how he fits in the rotation tonight. There are not enough minutes up for grabs for Muhammad right now, so leave him on the wire.
Sat, Nov 19, 2016 07:09:00 PM

Shabazz Muhammad (knee) and Brandon Rush (toe) will both warm up for Saturday and remain questionable to face the Grizzlies.

Muhammad only has knee soreness, but the Wolves don't necessarily need him. Rush also isn't a lock for the rotation with coach Tom Thibodeau making a tweak to his second unit and playing Andrew Wiggins at the two more. Muhammad is only worth a look in very deep leagues.
Sat, Nov 19, 2016 03:14:00 PM

Shabazz Muhammad (right knee) is listed as questionable to play against Memphis on Saturday.

Muhammad has been sidelined for the last three contests due to a sore right knee. With limited depth on the wing, Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins each played over 38 minutes in a blowout on Thursday.

Shabazz Muhammad (knee) is questionable to play against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

He has missed the last three games, but it's just soreness and Muhammad hasn't dealt with many right knee issues in his career. He's going to have to earn his minutes back with the Wolves using Nemanja Bjelica at the three more.
