The Wolves are determined to move Shabazz Muhammad according to TNT reporter David Aldridge.
The Wolves still have their eyes on a playoff push and Ricky Rubio and Muhammad are the most likely to be moved. Muhammad is a pure scorer with very little upside in standard fantasy leagues, so he doesn't have much stash appeal. He's averaging 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 3-pointers in 19.6 minutes this season and he's been linked to the Rockets and Wizards so far. Feb 23 - 11:24 AM

Shabazz Muhammad is another player on Houston's radar.

This report adds that it doesn't sound like anything is close. Muhammad's name has popped up before with some rumors tied to the Suns and he could be dealt as coach Tom Thibodeau tries to mold the team in his image. He doesn't have much fantasy value regardless.
Feb 22 - 6:38 PM

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Wizards have expressed interest in Shabazz Muhammad.

The Wizards were in hot pursuit of Lou Williams, but he was just traded to the Rockets. The Wizards are looking to upgrade their bench at the deadline and Muhammad has been shopped by the Wolves in the past. The swingman would have a limited role off the bench behind Otto Porter if he was moved to Washington, so there's no stash appeal here. The 24-year-old wing is averaging 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.8 3-pointers in 19.6 minutes for the Wolves this season.
Feb 21 - 8:17 PM

Shabazz Muhammad made 2-of-8 from the field for five points with two rebounds in 22 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.

When 'Bazz isn't scoring, his stat line is going to look really ugly. He looks like the primary beneficiary from the Zach LaVine (knee) injury, but the lack of non-scoring stats makes him more of a specialist or someone for points leagues.
Feb 11 - 1:00 AM

Shabazz Muhammad scored 22 points with two rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Raptors on Wednesday.

He closed this game out at power forward for the second straight game. Muhammad looks to have the scoring side figured out and he's also been outstanding as a shooter, making 45 percent from three on year. The problem is he doesn't do much else, so he's really only a pickup for owners needing scoring. He likely only has late-round upside.
Feb 9 - 1:54 AM

Shabazz Muhammad played 21 minutes and hit 4-of-11 shots for 12 points, three rebounds and one assist in Monday's loss to the Heat.

Muhammad has been playing well over the past several weeks, but he's still not a head turner. And despite the absence of Zach LaVine, Muhammad's role hasn't changed greatly. Tyus Jones actually played 31 minutes off the bench tonight and had five points and nine assists, and might be a better use of a pickup than Muhammad.
Feb 6 - 11:16 PM

Shabazz Muhammad played 26 minutes on Saturday vs. the Grizzlies, scoring 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting.

He closed the game as a small-ball four, so it's clear that he will get at least a small bump in minutes with Zach LaVine (knee) out for the season. He's basically a pure scorer which limits his upside and he added just four boards and a triple, so there should be better options on your waiver wire.
Feb 5 - 12:25 AM

Shabazz Muhammad scored 15 points with one steal and three 3-pointers in 23 minutes against the Pistons on Friday.

With Zach LaVine (knee) going out in the fourth, Muhammad played the entire final frame here. On top of the possible increased role should LaVine miss time, Muhammad is coming in hot over his last four with averages of 14.8 points, 4.5 boards, 0.5 steals, 0.3 blocks and 2.3 treys. He's better for points leagues, but feel free to give him a look if your team needs some scoring.
Feb 4 - 12:12 AM

Shabazz Muhammad scored 18 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Nets on Saturday.

It actually wasn't a garbage-time special on the scoring side, but Muhammad added plenty of stats in his 12 fourth-quarter minutes. He's playing a lot better, but doesn't have the upside to be added in standard leagues. Plus, this was against the Nets.
Jan 28 - 11:50 PM

Shabazz Muhammad scored 20 points off the Wolves' bench on Sunday, making 9-of-14 shots with two 3-pointers, five rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Muhammad did his damage in 33 minutes, but tonight's outburst is no reason to run to the waiver wire. He's had some nice scoring performances in January, averaging 1.2 triples with solid percentages, but he's added a combined total of two assists, three steals and zero blocks in 10 games.
Jan 22 - 10:38 PM

Shabazz Muhammad could be involved in a potential trade between the Wolves and Pistons.

The two teams are discussing a potential PG swap of Reggie Jackson for Ricky Rubio, but ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that the deal could involve other players such as Muhammad. We'd have to know what other pieces are involved before speculating on Muhammad's potential value in Detroit, but he doesn't have much upside and isn't worth stashing in most leagues. To be clear, a deal isn't imminent.
Jan 20 - 8:51 PM

Shabazz Muhammad scored 15 points in 23 minutes vs. the Spurs on Tuesday, adding four rebounds and two triples.

A report by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical indicated that the Wolves are looking to include Muhammad in a package deal with Ricky Rubio, so he could be on his way to a new city before the Feb. 23 trade deadline. Considering coach Tom Thibodeau likes to give all his starters 30+ minutes a night, a move away from Minnesota might not be a bad thing. With that said, Muhammad is just a pure scorer and has very little upside in standard leagues.
Jan 17 - 11:51 PM

Shabazz Muhammad looked good again on Wednesday, making 7-of-11 FGs and 4-of-4 FTs to finish with 20 points, seven rebounds, one assist and zero turnovers in 30 minutes.

Muhammad made two 3-pointers and he's simply on fire lately, scoring double-digit points in seven of his last nine games. In those contests, he's made a combined 52.6 percent FGs and 89.5 percent FTs, with 1.4 triples per game. Give him a look if you need offense, but don't expect much else -- in the same nine-game span, he added a mere 3.3 boards, 0.1 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.1 blocks.
Jan 12 - 12:08 AM

Shabazz Muhammad scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting with two rebounds and one triple in 20 minutes against the Mavericks on Monday.

Muhammad has very little upside as he's basically just a pure scorer, but he's a candidate to receive more minutes if we learn that Zach LaVine (hip) will miss any time. For now, Muhammad belongs on the wire in most leagues.
Jan 9 - 11:47 PM

Shabazz Muhammad returned to action on Saturday with five points, three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 18 minutes.

He was a game-time decision and was back to his normal role. Muhammad won't be getting many minutes while Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins are healthy.
